Craftsy offers FREE knitting patterns which are perfect for anyone knitting their Christmas gifts.Looking to pick up a new trade?  Try taking FREE online classes from Craftsy!

Cratsy also has FREE knitting patterns.  I don’t highly recommend making knitted gifts for all of your friends and family if this is your first time knitting, but try these patterns if you’ve done some knitting before.  It could be a little overwhelming to start out your knitting journey with gifts for the whole crew.

One of my older girls has a goal to knit a number of gifts for loved ones this Christmas.  She’s so crafty that I’m confident she could teach a Craftsy class.  I may let her brush up and watch a few classes before that happens, though.

Knitted gifts are something you want to start early.

My theory:  If you wait until after Thanksgiving to knit something, it will keep being pushed to the back burner and never get done.  Maybe you’re more motivated than me, but starting early never hurt anyone.  Whether you’re making scarves, hats, or even little baby booties for a new mom or mom-to-be, there’s a free pattern for that!

Sign up for Craftsy now and watch the classes any time (it’s great for nap time or after the kid’s bedtime). What have you been knitting lately?
