If you have old baby items you want to trade in now is your chance! You can trade in items at Babies R Us or Toys R Us to get a coupon for 25% off an item from a participating brand.  The event will be 1/18-2/10.

Accepted items are:

cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers,
travel systems, play yards, high chairs,
walkers, swings, bouncers, entertainers
and toddler/twin beds.

One fun thing about this event is that the item your trade-in and your new item do not have to be the same type of gear. This means you could trade-in a bouncer and get 25% off a toddler bed!

Your 25% off coupon will work on Baby Trend, Fisher-Price, Evenflo, Graco and S1 by Safety 1st participating items or 15% off Britax.

There is one coupon per trade in, but there is no limit on the number of items you can trade-in. You will need to purchase your new gear the same day and the event is in-store only.

        Me too!!

    • You can also take your coupon to Buy Buy Baby (if you have one locally) and they will accept the 25% coupon and you can use it on things like Britex and get 25% instead of 15%.

Be very careful when buying car seats from Babies R Us. Even though they advertise the car seats as new, they sell old, obsolete models. Since car seats shouldn’t be used more than 6 years after they were made, you could lose 30% or more of the life of the seat. Plus, the seat wouldn’t have the latest safety features.

      • I have bought many seats at TRU, and you should always look at the manufacture date on the seat before you buy it, at any store. Mine have always had dates of within 3 months of current dates. I do extensive research at home before going out to buy, and that was one tip I read online – to always make sure all accessories are in the box, the seat is fairly new, and it doesn’t look like a floor model :) Hope that helps!

in the add it has. gift card deal, $20 when you buy 2 boxes pampers then for every bulk P&G item listed purchased you get another $10 GC per item for a total of$75 in GC. what do you guys make of this deal. I can’t remember what is stock up price per roll for TP and paper towels? that was the extras I was going to buy in bulk. so Bounty are $18.99 for 12 giant rolls and I have $1 q and Charmin is same price same q value for 30 rolls sounds decent to me? especially when you get $10 GC per item. opinions please?

I would also look at the value of your trade in if it is older this is a good deal or if its a carseat. but like in my case my stuff is basically new and the Snugabunny stuff which they still sell so consigning or reselling would be a better option. I am sure most know this but just in case ;)
