When the deals start for this year around the second week in July I will start making a round-up of the deals every week.  Many of the deals will be found in office supply stores, Walmart, and even some grocery stores.

Remember this is one time of year that price matching deals in Walmart or Target can save a lot of gas and frustration of driving around town!

thanks its been on my mind

    • Miss_afb

it would be nice if we had a running school supply coupon list

      •  We honestly won’t see many coupons for these items other than some Bic Pen coupons that tend to come each year.  You will also find Elmer’s Glue coupons on SavingStar and Upromise starting in July too (I expect any way).

        • Candace

I’m hoping for the Sharpie coupons again this year!

        • uthorns1976

We always get coupons for Bic pens.  I have a ton of free Bic pens and will be looking for more.  You get what you pay for when you buy the really cheap spiral notebooks. The paper must be recycled.  It’s pitiful…thin as tissue paper. I put a piece of cardboard under the page I’m writing on so the impression won’t go through.

This post made me laugh. Yesterday was my kids’ last day of school! Not quite ready to think about back to school yet. :)

      •  Me either!  But many folks are I guess :)

        • Iluv2teachkindergarten

As a teacher I am always looking for great deals.  It’s even sweeter when you get gift cards from the parents.  :)

        • Ginger

Lucky! Our last day is this Tuesday, June 19th and we start back Aug 14th.

    • Deirdre

Actually this is great for those of us with “year-round” kids.  Thank you :)

Richland 2 in SC can start watching for deals now for elementary & middle school students–the district released a “streamlined” list. All classrooms across the district have the same supply list. It’s posted on the district website.

Thanks, Jenny!  My husband and I part of a brand new church plant core group.  As one of our first ministries as a church, we are collecting school supplies for struggling families in our community.  Any tips you can give would be greatly appreciated!  Most of us are couponers and def want to get the most for our money!  :)

Anyone in the Greenville area, the Big Lots on Wade Hampton has 1 subject notebooks on clearance for $.19 each. I bought some and they have about 100 or so left. As of yesterday.

Far left corner of the store. :)

    • Squiggly5263

      Why is this here?

    • You can get black 4 pk. of Expo Markers for $1 this week at Office Max.  I price matched it at Walmart.

    • K2sfi

Thank you for helping us out like you do!

    • TraceyMH

I found alot of school supplies on clearance (67% off) at HT.  I stocked up on glue, pens, pencils, white out, rubber bands, paper clips and notebooks.

    • uthorns1976

      What’s HT????

      • richable

I’m pretty sure she’s referring to Harris Teeter.

    • uthorns1976

Here we go again with the spam.  Can’t their IP addresses be blocked??  Someone always has to spoil the party for the rest of us!!

I’ve been looking for quality backpacks and lunch boxes on sale and found a great deal at LL Bean today.  They have last year’s model of insulated lunch box for 9.99 plus free shipping, as compared to the current model that’s 15.95.  They have several colors available.

    • Stacy

If you are planning to add to this list, i was matching it up w/ the list I got from the school. 10-15 glue sticks is on there, so I will definitely be looking for a good price on those.

Target currently has regular priced items – spiral notebooks 70 pgs @ .17, comp books @ .50. Those were the only reg prices I saw that beat the list above :)

      • Sfearncoupons

Glue sticks are $3.99 for 12 at the moment. I actually made a whole list up – will post it later. :)

Office Max is offering 4GB USB  Flash Drive for $4.99 July 8th – 14th.  Cute lollipop design.

What is the general rule regarding in-ad (store) coupons for Office Max, Staples, Office Depot, etc.? Do you need to have the actual coupons from the ads? I don’t get a Sunday paper, and have gone to the websites and can print the coupons individually, but they don’t have the barcodes. I know sometimes you can find the ads as you walk into the store. Just wondering if the actual coupons are needed, or if stores honor the promotion without coupons…Thanks!!
