Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

Olive Garden at Home with friends – Make your favorite copycat recipes and enjoy and Italian night without getting out in the crowds.

Picnic lunch exploring state parks – The perfect day date! Exploring a state park or going on a hike is a great way to get out in nature while getting some exercise too. Pack a lunch while viewing the beautiful scenery.

Make Your Own Pizza– Form dough to make heart shaped pizza then pick your favorite toppings to make pizzas together. Heart shaped pancakes and/or chocolate dipped strawberries are fun themed options too. This is my favorite pizza dough recipe.

Fondue for Two – You can get an inexpensive fondue maker or make fondue on the stovetop. Melt chocolate or cheese and grab your favorite items to dip in the delectable sauce. Here are my copycat recipes.

At Home Spa – Grab some candles, your favorite bubble bath, maybe a festive beverage and some music. A nice touch can also include some slippers and a robe, plus make your own facemasks and enjoy a relaxing evening!

Make You Own Charcuterie Board – These boards can be pricey if you pay for them pre-done, plus half the fun is arranging your favorite food items together. If you don’t have one of the wooden cheese boards to put the items on, you can use a wooden cutting board. Grab your favorite meat, cheeses, crackers and spreads! You could also have a wine tasting to go along with this and sample a few different wines that pair well this your items.

Aldi is my go-to store for charcuterie board items. Their vanilla blueberry goat cheese is fantastic!

S’mores – Make a bonfire and roast s’mores by the fire. You can also do oven baked smores and watch a movie if you want to skip the roasting step.

Have a video game night – Grab some popcorn and play some games! You could try your hand at some old school Mario Kart.

Have a Paint Off – Grab whatever art supplies you have around the house and challenge each other to create the same scene.

Learn to Dance Together – Look up YouTube videos and learn to dance. Whether it’s the cha cha slide or a ballroom dance, you will be sure to end up laughing at the end of the night. If you prefer, you could also do a cardio or yoga class together which are available on YouTube as well.
