I went to my SuperTarget and they showed me their policy on produce matching. They said they’d match brands…ie…chiquita bananas. However they wouldn’t match tomatoes to tomatoes or apples to apples  (unless the growers name was on the ad and were trying to buy the same brand). They said this was due to different qualiites in produce. You all may have better luck than me, but I had to put the produce back when I was tyring to have them match my Aldi’s ad. Myabe I’ll have better luck at Wal-Mart?

      • Freedomspradley1

It’s been a while back but I had that same experience with both meat and produce when trying to price match competitor ads at Walmart.

        • Guest

Same with me and Walmart, never able to get them to price match. Never tried Target since I had no luck at Walmart with meat/produce.

        • Firstbrownie

I price match the produce at Wal-Mart often from Aldi’s and Meijers. They’ve never questioned me about it. It doesn’t hurt to try again. I think Wal-Mart employees are becoming more familiar with their policies. Also, go talk to a manager about it and see what they have to say!

I have always been able to price match everything at Walmart. I have not had a problem with chicken, meat, produce, etc.  If it is another’s store, store brand, just get the Great Value and it matches for me. I guess they are pretty good at my store, for that at least!

I haven’t tried WalMart yet, but I’d like to. I just don’t want to get in the same situation as Target, but I might talk to a manager before I try to check out with a buggie full of produce trying to match the Aldi’s ad. It sounds like some WM price match and some don’t based on the comments here.

Same here…I match the Aldi ad at Walmart all the time with no problems.

    • Amsnlil

Can you print the ad to match at walmart or do you have to have an original.  Closest Aldi to me is 84 miles one way (so sad)

    • Davion847

you can print the ad. I did last week.
