It’s time that of year again: tax time! I know it’s not exciting, but there’s currently a great Amazon deal to help you get your taxes done correctly and efficiently.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can currently get TurboTax Deluxe Fed + Efile 2013 with Refund Bonus Offer for $29.99! This download is already on sale, but with Amazon Prime, you’ll get $10 off at checkout.  (If you aren’t a prime member get a free 30 day trial and still get the deal).

Plus, as an added bonus, when you file your taxes with TurboTax and you use some (or all) of your federal refund to purchase an Amazon Gift Card from TurboTax, they will tack on an extra 10% to your refund. For example, $500 would become $550!

TurboTax guides you step-by-step through the process and guarantees that your return will be accurate and that no prior tax knowledge is needed, so grab this today so April doesn’t sneak up on you!

Note: Prices on Amazon may change at any time.

I’ve never done my own taxes. I always take them to someone. Is it easy & safe to do them yourself or is this something you should have a professional do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have used turbo tax for years and have never had a problem with it and it’s easy to do but if you have a lot of deductions and other things needed for your taxes, you may want to take them to a professional. Turbo tax is great for basic taxes ;-)

I was self employed for several years and had to log miles, claim a home office, and many other expenses. My husband just has a regular w2 income. And we also have capital gains from stocks. We always use turbo tax and it prompts you for everything. It’s very easy. It asks you all the questions and you just plug in the numbers from your records. VERY EASY!

shauna, does the deluxe version do this or do i need to upgrade?

      • Susan Bass

I have done our taxes with TurboTax for years, even my Dad’s when he was self-employed. You can go to the TurboTax website & answer just a few questions to determine which version you need.

on the turbotax website it is already 29.99…and you could go through ebates to get 7.5% cash back…

      • Susan Bass

I only see 3% cash back on ebates.

At first I thought you’d get an extra 10% back on your refund if you use some/all to purchase an Amazon gift card (ex: a $500 refund would be increased by TurboTax to $550). But after looking harder to make sure there wasn’t a catch, I found that it’s not 10% back on your refund, but rather 10% added to your gift card amount. So if you purchase a $500 gift card, you’ll get a $550 gift card. That’s a bummer because I was hoping to get 10% back on my refund! Here’s the picture I found; y’all correct me if I’m wrong:

According to Amazon’s site, Turbo Tax will give you an extra 10% on your gift card amount, not your refund. Bummer.

We buy the Deluxe for the state forms and it is currently $39.99 on Amazon. I checked the TurboTax website and $59.99 there.

      • Regina

I saw that too. But I just noticed the one on Turbo Tax is for Federal and State. The one she is speaking of with the Bonus offer is for Federal only. I did search amazon and found a deal on Fed and State for $39.99 with prime membership and bonus offer.

I have been using the Turbo tax software from many years. Although i have Turbo tax coupons, that makes it affordable.

a hint… “Free Federal +$14.99 State” advertised at the start somehow
changed to “$19.99 Federal +$36.99 State”… Bait and switch much?)
