Thank you Jenny for this info!  We love going to Callaway Gardens as a family in the spring to see the beautiful azalea bushes. Now we have  reason to go sooner and enjoy all their other activities for free!

Had a horrible experience last year. They would not allow us to visit the gardens for free, said the only part that was free was the lake sids and farmers market. Also had roads to other side of park blocked. We had called in advance to find out about the fine print and they confirmed that the whole park was free. Then got to the gate and BOOM, no go. I had my family with me from 2 different states and was completely embarrassed. The manager would not even work with us even though we only had 45 min until closing time. Had to pay full price for 11 people. I was furious and sent their customer service a well deserved email and did not even get a reply. Left phone number address and everything. Do not trust them, get a manager on the phone before you make the trip! I love Callaway, we have been going as a family for four generations, but I was shocked at how poorly this was handled.

Thank you for the FYI Cindy…I would hate to drive all the way and have something like that happen. :(

If you do go, just make sure to talk to a manager first. It will be worth it if it works out for you.

Maybe I’m missing it – but what is the address or at least what city is it in in Georgia?  Couldn’t find it on their website.

I was just there in November; don’t remember the exact address but it is in Pine Mountain, GA about 1.5 hours south of Atlanta

“Callaway Gardens® is in Pine Mountain, Georgia, 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 30 minutes north of Columbus.
Note: If using an online mapping service like MapQuest, please use the address “5887 Georgia Highway 354, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.”  Please note that this address is for the Cottage Front Desk entrance and very close to the main entrance of Callaway Gardens.”

Visited the gardens yesterday. The gates were open and we were able to drive right in. We live nearby and have visited Callaway many times, but I had never been to the Discovery Center. There are two daily raptor shows. We went to the 3:30 outdoor show and it was great. No charge for admission to the park, Discovery Center or raptor show. Pretty sure there is a daily indoor show with raptors flying at 12:30 and the outdoor show (weather permitting) at 3:30.
