You guys know my love for Cracker Barrel. I love everything about it, not only the food but the store too.  All the things they have are fun, and make me wish I lived 50 years ago when everything was peaceful (it might not have been but Cracker Barrel makes me feel that way).   This Christmas Cracker Barrel has a few gift ideas from the Country Store that you want to consider adding to your list.  Plus when you go to buy them it means you get to treat yourself to fresh biscuits…

Two of their top lines to checkout for the holidays:

Butterflies Dolls are a line of 8 dolls that are made exclusively for the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.  They each have their own personality and name!  The Butterflies are powered by your child’s imagination rather than batteries which helps them think more creatively.

Each doll comes with her own outfit and you can purchase more clothes separately.  Their hair already comes in the doll’s favorite hairstyle, so if your child likes to do her doll’s hair, this doll may not be the best for that.  However, you can take all of their hair accessories out and put them in differently.

To help these dolls feel even more life-like, you can buy extra accessories and furniture.  We received the utensil set, the doll chef hat & apron, Butterflies plush cupcake and a Butterflies tote.  These accessories are fun because they help make your child’s Butterflies doll seem even more real.  She can cook with your child, dress up with your child – and do anything she can imagine!

      Cracker Barrel s my fravorite restaurant, no matter the time of year.  But If I had to pick my favorite thng about Cracker Barrel during the Holidays, it would be the seasonal offerings– like (my favotire) dessert.  This autumn, the pumpkin custard has been awesome!

      I love Cracker Barrel all throughout the year.  My favorite is chicken and dumplings and the fried apples.  The Coca-Cola cake is to die for!  Also when they have/had it, the bread pudding is awesome.  If there is a wait for tables, I get to shop before and after we eat.  I love checking out the clearance and everything I want is usually at least on sale.  I also love browings the “old time” candy selection.

      Cracker Barrel is one of my family’s favorite restaurants.  I especially love going there during the holidays because they have so many decorations for sale and it is so festive.  This puts us all in the holiday spirit.

      I worked at Cracker Barrell for about  5 years during HS and College…and still LOVE it!  I love the crackling fire in the winter, the holiday shopping, the BISCUITS :) , and the warm comfort food!

      It’s not just during the holidays because Cracker Barrel sells the soft peppermint sticks all year round but that is the thing I like most about Cracker Barrel during the holidays.
      My family of 5 sisters and 2 brothers always got soft peppermint sticks every year for Christmas.  Cracker Barrel is the only place that I have found that carries them and it always takes me back to my childhood.:)

      Thanksgiving Dinner :) Since my mom passed away I cannot stand the idea of being home without her for the holidays so we travel :) We had Thanksgiving Dinner last year at the Cracker Barrel in Myrtle Beach, SC and it was beyond AWESOME! I can’t wait to get there next Thursday :)….it was almost as  good as Mom’s…almost :)

      I have to say that Cracker Barrel is m favorite place to go, especially during the holidays. Food is always great, the fireplace is cozy and warm, and shopping is always fun. Christmas Shopping usually starts with breakfast and shopping at Cracker Barrel, it has become part of our tradition.

      I LOVE Cracker Barrel anytime!  Christmas at Cracker Barrel brings out the child in me!  The decorations are beautiful and fun!  The gift choices are many and the clothes are great too! Everytime we go to Cracker Barrel, my 3 year old daughter says,

      I get daily e-mails from Southern Savers and e-mails from Cracker Barrel-just “liked” them on facebook too!  We have 2 Cracker Barrels 30 miles from us-one south and one north.  Every time we go either way, if that far, we have to stop.  We love it! That is the only place my mother, 92 years old, will eat when we take her to the doctor-okay with us! I wish we had one here, if we had one here we would eat there at least 3 or 4 times a week.  I shop there more than a department store-especially the holidays.  I buy a lot of presents and decorations there.  I am very excited about the Butterfly doll collection.  My granddaughter is 18 months old and it is very hard to find toys that she likes and would play with that don’t say 3 years and up. 
      I would love to have one here to have breakfast at breakfast time-but breakfast at dinner works too!

      Definitely my favorite is their fireplace…it makes it feel so warm and homey! My husband and I love Cracker Barrel. My husband completed seminary up in PA, and I joined him for his last year after we were married before we moved back down to NC. We were so thankful for Cracker Barrel since you can’t find sweet tea very often up north, and if we did, it was not like home :-)

      Just subscribed to Saving Cents with Sense and “liked” both SCwS and Cracker Barrel on Face Book.  Love the Butterfly Dolls and collection-great for my 18 month old granddaughter for Christmas!  So hard to find even a doll that doesn’t say for 3 years and up.  She saw them in the store ( we are 30 miles away from a store North or South) and kept saying “hold you”, which means she wants to hold it.  We eat there every time we go either way so we may hear that a lot until Christmas!

      What’s NOT my favorite thing at Cracker Barrel during the holidays and everyday???  I haven’t been there in FOREVER, because we’re broke and I’m on a lengthy health kick.  I especially love going and getting the chicken and dumplings, which suprisingly, is one of their “healthier” options as well.  Collllllldddddd day, chicken, dumplings, and great company.  But, I like to shop for Christmas gifts too.

      If I won this (oh, please oh please) I’d put it in my donation bookbag for one of the local foster homes to give to children who leave home with nothing.  I love this cause and would enjoy giving them something truly special.  Just wish I could give one to each of them, because I used to co-op in college at a foster placement.

      I love the memories that I have spending so much time there with my mother and grandmother since it was their very favorite place to eat and shop. Since they are no longer here with me, I can walk into any cracker barrel and be swept back to a time when they were… the smells,and decorations it’s everything I love.  One of a kind place for sure!!

      Last Thanksgiving my husband and I were with our daughter as she was expecting our first grandchild.  We were so excited that Cracker Barrel was opened serving Thanksgiving Dinner.  It was so amazing….it sure was nice to have such a wonderful meal.  We ended up taking our dessert home as it was included with the meal. So, if you do not wish to cook Thanksgiving Dinner, please go to Cracker Barrel as you will not be dispointed.  By the way, our daughter gave birth to baby girl the day after Thanksgiving….we were and are so very blessed!

      I love that during the busiest time of the year, I can come to Cracker Barrel, don’t have to quick and can get yummy, fast, family-friendly comfort food. I also LOVE the store with everything from adorable children’s clothes to ornaments to cooking accessories. My mom just bought my daughter the CUTEST owl corduroy jumper and they didn’t have her size so the sales associate was kind enough to call around to different stores until they located one in her size.

      Everyone should visit Cracker Barrel at least once during the holiday season. The food is cooked home style. The decor is homey and warm with quirky things to make you look twice. There items for sale are so different then the big chain stores that finding a special gift is easily done. We love Cracker Barrel.

      The most wonderful thing about Cracker Barrel is that you don’t have to worry about the kids being too loud in the restaurant.  They are too busy stuffing their faces with the wonderful blueberry pancakes!  I know that there will be something their for everyone . . . even the pickiest eaters.

      Cracker has all the smells and sights of Christmas. When you walk in you smell the fire and see all the trees. There is also the smell of cinnamon, vanilla and all the other smells associated with Grandma’s house.

      The “at home” feeling you get when you are ther only gets better during the holidays. Going for lunch with my parents and grand-parents is always special. Four generations enjoying southern food at firendly, cozy place … makes it not feel like these other chain restaurants. & of course I am a Southern Savers follower~

      My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is that it feels like a “home away from home” with its country cooking, rocking chairs on the porch, and the gifts/decorations for all seasons/holidays. I never walk out empty handed or feeling hungry! I especially like the Christmas decorations and the summer collections. I buy a lot of my little girl’s holiday clothes from there as well.

The Gift shop, I have to get drug out of there I am always saying, “one more minute or hold on”!       Two favorite things about Cracker Barrel – the food is awesome and a great way to take a break from all the cooking. We get together at Cracker Barrel every year (friends) to eat and catch up on the past year, which means no cooking and still a great meal! Second, they have so many gift ideas in the store to choose from. A gift for everyone can be found and for a reasonable price. Saves time on shopping for me!!  LOVE THEM!

      My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel during the holidays is also my favorite throughout the year—cornbread and chicken n’ dumplings! Shopping there is always fun, too, though, especially during the holidays!

      I always love the different trees they put up.  There is a tree for just about anybody in there, which means you can find an ornament for everybody in the family.  I worked in the gift shop during college and that was always my favorite thing, putting up the trees and keeping them stocked with ornaments.

      I love everything about Cracker Barrel. My family eats almost exclusively at CB, as we call it, when we travel cross county. Though this may seem like we are missing out some local hotspots to some, to us we are building on memories. As for Christmas time, we get an ornament (usually much more than just one ornament) during  the holidays.
