If you’ve never heard of DailyFeats, this is your day!  DailyFeats is a website that provides you with chances to “do good” throughout the day, record you “feats” and earn points to go towards coupons for some of your favorite retailers.

We’ve partnered up with DailyFeats to run a fun challenge for all of you Southern Savers to help you on your money-saving journey.  Each time you do one of the designated money-saving “feats”, you’ll earn some points to get coupons for things like Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Toys ‘R Us and so much more!

If you want to try and do better (or stay on track) with your saving habits, this challenge will be available for two weeks.  You can join at any time over the course of the two weeks and complete the feats.

Use the promo code SOUTHERNSAVERS100 to register for DailyFeats if you haven’t already, and you’ll start your account with 100 points. Then, check-in the feats associated with the challenge as you do them, earn points for each check-in, plus a 200-point bonus upon challenge completion. You can then use the points you’ve earned towards rewards and donations.  You can also set up your own lists of feats in any area of your life you’d like to track or set goals around from family to community to personal to-do lists.

       Used 2 coupons for iced tea .75 each. The tea was $1.00, so I had $1 overage which paid for my frosting! Total cost: 23 cents at Giant. That was my “feat”.

      My wife and I have revised our budget and only buy things that are on sale and/or have a coupon.  We have managed to cut our spending in half (or in some cases more) every single shopping trip we go on.  And as a man, I actually enjoy saving money and couponing because it’s a thrill when you get line and see how much you’ve saved just by clipping coupons and reading sales ads.
