    • Shannon

I could only get the cooking on a budget and money book for free; the rest were free only for prime members.

    • Yep. Most of them are for prime members.

    • mom of 2 o’s

Agree Shannon, these really aren’t free.

    • AmyJ

Also it is important to add that even Prime folks can only borrow one per month. Though I do think the book lending is a great deal and for me will pay for my prime membership alone!

    • LiLBits Mommy1219

I was only able to get the “Cooking on a budget” and the “Lets get real about money” books for free? How are these free books if they all are not free? Now i am a prime member but im not going to waste my 1 book a month on any of these? Thank You for the 2 books i did get :)

      • It’s because you have to be a member of Amazon Prime to get the free books. I wish they would have mentioned this.

        • amI14??

Jenny/does a great thing on southern savers, and if a mistake is made, why get mad about it?

    • This is kind of annoying. You should do your research. These books are only free for Amazon Prime members. Everyone else has to pay.

      • stevie

We should just be thankful for the head’s up, no? Like everything else, it’s your mileage may vary.  =)

      • Fairyphotographer

I’m sorry that the deal wasn’t what you expected. This may have been free to everyone when she posted it, Amazon prices change very rapidly. Jenny does so much and her tips, insights and deal alerts have saved me THOUSANDS! I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and be grateful for all of the help she gives. I certainly wouldn’t have time to find all of these deals – let alone research them! So, thank you Jenny for all that you do!!

Free books on Kindle change daily. I’ve had mine for 6 months and haven’t paid for a book yet. Between the classic literature that is out of copyright like Mark Twain and Oscar Wilde and the daily deals I am really enjoying my kindle!

    • SarahR

DealNewsdotcom list free Kindle books each day.  Amazon changes them daily and I believe there is a limit of how many they give of each book.

Even if you are a Prime member you can only “borrow” one book per month.  You must also have a Kindle because you have to “borrow” the book through the Kindle.

I really enjoy my Kindle and Amazon Prime.

    • Jbpersson

The Fire makes it WAAAY to easy to One Click to purchase an item. I’m not a prime member so accidentally bought one of the books. I didn’t notice there was a fee until I pushed the button. Sigh.

      • CouponMeg

I did that once and called Amazon – they took care of it.  I agree about the ONE CLICK.  I hate it.  But Amazon took care of it asap.

        Good Luck!

      • Pndbear2003

If you go onto your Amazon account on line, you can choose to take your account off of 1 click shopping.  There is one specifically for taking off the one click shopping for your kindle.

    • Jmay

I love a lot of the kindle deals you show, but it seems that most of them are only “free” if you become a member of their prime club and that costs a good bit of money.  So they aren’t actually free books.

    • Mamaberry

As Jenny noted in her post…

“Heads up Kindle prices change regularly so please check the price before ordering.”

I have to assume something changed and that’s why most of these are no longer ‘free selections’!
Happy couponing all! (& txs Jenny for all you do!)
