I just started my weight watchers journey the week after Christmas, so I
can’t tell you what a blessing this new list is! Thanks so much!!

    • Joanne

Wow! Thanks for starting this feature. I love it.

    • Stephanie in Bham

Thank you Jenny! I have had good intentions on doing WW w/out the inconvenience of the meetings. My mom has done this and just upgraded to the new program a few weeks ago and gave me her old books & tracker to do on my own. This meal plan will help me get the motivation I need to get started and hopefully have good results quickly! Thanks so much for ALL of your time and effort to help the rest of us shop wisely and eat wisely too!

    • Wow…..absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for your hard work! All of these recipes look great and I will go buy the items this week that are on sale. Started WW this past Monday and was looking for good recipes with items on sale! Fantastic. Thanks again!

    • Mandy P

This is great, thanks! I have been doing Weight Watchers for 5 months now and my couponing has really slowed down because I feel like so many of the coupons out there are for junk food. So any guidance you can provide with this is super helpful!

    • amy

I love this! I just started doing weight watchers again and now that I am doing couponing I have been worried about how I would be able to do both. This will really help and I love the recipe links.

    • jackie

this is awesome. i dont do ww, but it is nice to see nice healthy meal choices to pair with our awesome deals!

    • Sue

Don't forget to investigate alternative sources for fresh fruits and veggies. Asian and Hispanic markets are usually much cheaper than Kroger and Publix for some produce and that is usually without coupons.

Examples near us are Assi, Super H Mart, and Aldi (German, I think).

      • Ginger

I'll second that! I live in southern California, with lots of ethnic groceries. I hit the Latino markets for my meat and produce, and the Asian market for different varieties of rice and I save a ton! I rarely pay more than .49 cents a pound for fruits, or .79 to .99 a pound for veggies. Also, for anyone who has 99 Cent Stores in their area, you can get some killer deals on veggies there.

      • Traci

Assi and Super H are both awesome. It is well worth it to me to make the 45 min drive every few weeks to stock up on fresh (and I mean FRESH) fruits and veggies. Even factoring in the gas and the fact that the do not take coupons it is still the best way to go. If you have kids they will love it because it is fun for them to see all the unusual fruits, veggies and fish.

Thank you for this. I don't do WW but I've been on a low glycemic diet since Jan. 1 and have lost 4 pounds so far. Grapefruit, eggs, and salad are a big part of my diet! I got the Vocal Point home mailer with the $3 off Kashi Go Lean Crunch (which made it free at HT this week) and the cereal tastes great and is healthy.

One of my favorite recipes is for Garlic Lime Chicken, which comes from the Saving Dinner cookbook endorsed by FlyLady ( I think you can get this recipe free on her site as well as a bunch of other ones).

    • Jackie

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the points being listed!!!

8 oz bittersweet chocolate, finest quality recommended
      2 tsp regular butter
3 cup(s) Kraft Jet-Puffed Mini Marshmallows, or other brand

      Line a 9- X 9-inch pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
In a double boiler, melt chocolate and butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly combined; remove from heat and stir in marshmallows.

Scrape chocolate mixture into prepared pan using a silicon spatula; smooth into a somewhat even layer. Refrigerate until chocolate sets, at least 1 hour; keep refrigerated until ready to eat. Cut into 12 pieces and serve. Yields 1 piece per serving.

Jenny, I can't tell you how much you've changed my life, I don't know how you find the time to do what you do, but you are an angel. I have been a southern saver junkie for 1 year now and save consistently 50% or more. I buy mostly healthy so I feel this is an awesome savings. And I don't buy what I don't need or can't use. You are AWESOME to include receipes/menu's and points for Weight Watchers. I work at an elementary school and a large group of teachers and staff are going to doing this together so it is a huge help for you to show us all how to use what is on sale and use toward the diet as well. GO JENNY!

    • Ellen

Are these the old Weight Watchers Points or are you using the new Points Plus values? They revamped the whole program after Christmas.
