Sometimes presents aren’t about what you want, they are about what you need!  It’s a rare person that loves ironing, but no matter how you feel about it you still have to do it.

A small confession here…  I don’t iron.  Seriously.  My husband learned that in the first week of our marriage, my theory is that after wearing something for an hour all the wrinkles will come out any way.  I’m married to  a man that can’t stand wrinkles (funny how God pairs people like that) so he does ALL of the ironing.

Recently Hamilton Beach & All You Magazine asked if they could send me an iron to try out, I probably would have ignored the request were it not for my husband jumping at the idea of a new iron.  So we received a Full Size Durathon Electronic Control Iron to try out.

First off the soleplate is so clean versus the 12 year old iron we had.  It is also built with a Durathon non-stick soleplate that lasts 10 times longer than traditional non-stick. It also offers continuous steam that quickly removes all of the wrinkles.  The Durathon Electronic Control Iron comes with adjustable steam, 3-way automatic shutoff, anti-drip technology, a 10′ cord, a hot dot storage indicator and so much more!

    • Sphillips88

I wish that my husband’s clothes would iron themselves! We’re a young couple, and with school AND work to deal with, chores come last. I’ve gotten in the habit of throwing clothing into the dryer to manage the wrinkles. With that iron, I probably wouldn’t mind it so much!

    • Twinsmom08

I wish I knew the secret to keeping up with laundry…between my husband and our 3 year old twins I stay behind! I’m so excited about this giveaway! I was just thinking this morning while ironing my husband’s work shirt how nice a new iron would be! :)

    • Keisha H

We need a new iron terribly!  This is perfect timing!

    • Alcy01

My husband is also the one that irons in our house and would love a new iron since the ones we have had through 6 years of marriage don’t last and end up ruining some of our clothes!! his “chore” would be so much easier with a really good iron!

    • Joey Urey-Kramer

I save my ironing every week until I get 6 to 8 weeks of wrinkled clean clothes, then I spend a day catching up  – my new husband not so much (unless it is for Sunday church).  He needs a new iron and I will give him my ironing board!

    • Lisa

      I really don’t mind laundry,  I just don’t like folding it! :)

    • Kkaser

    • Carolyn

Ironing.  By far, my least favorite chore.  It’s hard to find an iron that works well and so many of my khaki pants and shirts are so difficult to iron!

    • Laura

Cleaning the shower.  It’s hard on the back!  And I’d LOVE a new iron – ours is really old and doesn’t work well anymore.

    • StefanieC

I dont know why, but I seem to have a stigma about hanging up clean clothes.  I do the laundry and don’t mind folding clothes or putting piles of folded clothes neatly into drawers, but the hang up stuff gets neglected.  If it were easier to keep them wrinkle free and hanging straight on the hangers and once they get crammed into the over crowded closet, then I probably would pay more attention to them.  SO I wish it were easier to hang up clothes in my house.  Thanks Southern Savers for all the great help and resources you offer.

I have 2 things Id love to be easier!! Laundry & Dishes, A. They are never completely done B. I have no dishwasher (well unless you count me lol) C. I have no dryer, I have learned how to hang a load of laundry inside the house during the Winter since I live in New Hampshire!!

I hate ironing too. Would love for it be easier

    • denise

I would say ironing and cleaning bathtubs. I  could definitely use a new iron. Looking for a job and a house, so times are kind of hard right now. I would really appreciate it.

    • Hightop

I wish cleaning an enclosed corner shower unit was easier. It is a tight space to scrub and rinsing is a pain when you don’t have a good swiviling shower head, especially if it is combined with not so great water pressure! I clean a house with two of them. I think that is my most dreaded chore, DEFINITELY wish it could be easier.

    • Jessica

well there are too many to choose from!

    • Jessica

I wish I had a kitchen fairy who would clean up my kitchen after I cook :o)

I hate doing dishes more than anything, even folding laundry, which is saying a lot! And it’s a problem because I cook a lot, haha.

P.S. I would also really like this iron to make ironing easier…(I don’t have an iron. I know. Shame.)

    • lisa

      Cleaning the bathroom.

    • Sabrinamayes01

Folding clothes… and anything that has to do with clothing. Ironing, folding, putting clothes away… yeah, clothing… is definitley my least favorite chore.

    • Tphillips1265

The household chore I hate the most is dusting. This is made all the more challenging because my furniture is black and cherry wood! I have tried all types of dusters and cleaners to no avail. If there is any help to be found, I am open for suggestions.

    • Brandi

My chore that I wish could be easier is definately laundry. If any part of it could be easier it would be awesome. Having a 15 month old and my husband being a police officer makes laundry a NEVER ending chore. Especially with my husbands uniforms. The creases have to be here and have to be a certain way, so ironing is a MUST for us!

Mopping!  I have light colored tile that gets very slippery, and seems to take forever to dry.

    • Behki21

I wish there was a way to make dusting easier…sadly i dont think there is ! Lol

    • Valerie

I really wish my ironing jobs would be easier!! With this economy, it is impossible to send things out to the cleaners now!! Cleaners coupons are not very accessible either. I would LOVE to receive this iron and replace my poor old iron that is probably circa 1976!!

    • Anonymous

I wish cleaning the bathroom was a little easier. That is one chore I wish I could get someone else to do.

    • Catirrusia72

Laundry ! can’t stand folding and sorting :(

    • LaurenH

Folding clothes is the worst!  I guess maybe if I did a better job of folding there wouldn’t be so much ironing to do!  One chore working against another…go figure.

    • Ginger

HAHAHA, I’m just like you, Jenny. If it wrinkles, I don’t buy it. :) I wish there were some magic way to make putting away laundry easier. For some reason, that’s my dreaded task.

    • Dnt Freitas

      scrubbing the shower!

    • Irina Voznyuk

Doing dishes is a least favorite chore of my entire family! And of course, since it is everyone’s least favorite, who gets to do it all the time? Me. Unfortunately, with hubby and a toddler, and with all the cooking and baking I do on the regular basis, the dirty dishes seem to never end :(

    • jenmad88

      Putting the kids toys away!!!

    • Amanda Ellerbee

I really wish laundry was easier, we definitely let it pile up more than we should! (but my ironing would be much easier on Sunday morning with a new iron!)

    • Megngeorge

I wish that there was a magical way to make cleaning toilets easier!   I think that is the worse job in cleaning it is so nasty!    I just wish I coudl wiggle my nose like “BeWitched” and make those dirty toilets clean without having to touch anything on them!

    • sarah simma

Ironing has always been my least favorite.  I try to avoid it by using the dryer, but maybe a new iron would make it more exciting and easier!

    • Beccanifty

I wish I could dust without having an allergy attack!

    • Ironing is my favorite of all household chores! I used to iron every-blessed-load of laundry until I gave my iron away this summer.
I believe that if I had the resources I would actually pay someone to dust for me… I’m allergic to dust and there’s nothing worse than watery eyes and sneezing while you’ve got a lot to accomplish!

    • Stephanie

Dishes, they never seem to be done…

    • michelle

i dont like folding clothes or mopping.

    • Shambleslee

Ironing my husbands work clothes would be SO much easier than with our generic one.  I wouldn’t have to go over the clothes so many times to get wrinkles out :-)

    • Ldymedic

I need a new iron soooo bad! Mine broke, and my husband’s old iron has some kind of mess on the bottom that got on my clothes! :( As for the household chore that I would like to be made easier, I would say mopping floors!!

    • Tammy R

I hate cleaning the bathrooms!  If I could find those little elves who are supposed to be doing it, they’d be in serious trouble.

On the flip-side, I’m wierd I know, but ironing is relaxing to me.  My old iron has been repaired a couple of times and it’s holding on by a frayed cord.  A new one would be a real god-send!  Thanks.

    • Midnightcry09

Laundry! Ugghhh! Is all I have to say!

    • Abaggett5

Ironing is the one I hate the most….need a magical iron!

    • shelly

Laundry. Wish there was a robot to fold for me :)

    • denise

i think that same boogie monster who steals your socks in the dryer also puts piles of clothes to wash and iron around the house!! i would love this iron as mine dates back to college age (10+ yrs ago) and really needs to be put outta it’s missery!

    • Cleaning the windows. I can never get them good and cleaned without streaks.

    • Taclark97

Ironing and dusting are the two I wish were easier!!!

    • Sharon

I hate putting dishes away…I know it seems petty, but I hate it

    • Kylie_maye

Cleaning the shower is what I dislike most! I really could use a new iron!

    • Roberta Lovett

Laundry – I just wish I had less of it and maybe a bigger washer.  Ironing is my husband’s job as well…and he loves (maybe just likes) it.

    • Lizowens22

Ironing… lol My iron is 21 years old, and still working.

    • SE Thrasher

Easier… not that its hard but, if I could have a magic wand that would fold the laundry for me, that would be awesome!

    • Austinairflow

Dusting.  I don’t see how there could be an easier way to this this chore.  Whole House Air cleaners, room air cleaners, changing air filters, and just having too many little nick-nacks. Or maybe 5 of us living in the house.  What is dust anyway. dead skin cells.  Ok, so then we just have to learn to live with each other and our dead skin cells, I say!

    • TwinTikes

OH MY!! ME!! The iron we have was a wedding gift (married in 2000). It leaks water on a whim, the heat settings do not match what the control knob says. Simply it is a piece and I am too cheap to purchase another one. I do not iron, hubby does all ironing for me and our twin girls :) He would appreciate a new toy, as would I appreciate no snags in my silk :)

    • Cindur

Laundry…after sorting all the laundry…jeans, whites, reds & purples, blue & greens, yellows, browns & then towels…I’m exhausted…then most things don’t go ini the dryer so they have to be hung to dry…a real pain…then I need to iron things…and my iron broke 2 weeks ago…I’m in need of one of these!! Please!

    • Dscott9080

I wish cleaning the shower was easier!!!!!

OH that’s tough. I’d have to say cleaning the kitchen. I come home to the sink piled high with dirty dishes just about every day lol. The men folk in my household don’t seem to know what the dishwasher is for (they think dishwasher means mom). :-D

    • C Shay

Laundry. If you have only 3 loads, you can guarantee you are going to be at it all day.

    • Virginia Smith

My worse chore is keeping all the dust off the ceiling fans! A new iron would be wonderful!

    • Rialyn

The laundry process of sorting, treating stains, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and putting away! Makes me tired just thinking about it! I would love a new iron to replace my old one.

    • Taracline81

I wish there was an easier way to clean the blinds!! Mine could really use some cleaning!!

    • Sandy N

I hate doing ironing and it all goes back to the days when I was a child and I had to iron all the family laundry.  That was back in the days when you didn’t have “no iron” clothes and my mother made me iron my dad’s work t-shirts and hankerchiefs.  Ugh!!!!!!!

    • Irene

Dusting… I’m incredibly allergic to dust and dust mites so I have to dust OFTEN to keep the dust at a minimum so that I don’t have allergic reactions and severe asthma attacks. Honestly, I would much rather reduce my time dusting and increase my time ironing ;-)

    • Jnsearcy

Well, since we are talking about ironing….its just that!  I have had an iron that steams (seamstress iron) so I steam clothes while on the hanger and say a prayer! Usually it works, but sometimes I do have to actually apply the iron with some spray starch….not my favorite job but I do love a freshly pressed dresses shirts on my son and husband on Sunday mornings at church

    • Emily R

I’d love if I never cleaned another bathroom again!!  But I’d love a new iron–it would make my quilting so much nicer  =)

    • Carol

Cleaning the blinds, I just keep putting it off.  I also could use a new iron, mine is about 8 years old, I use it a lot when I am sewing.

    • Vacuuming! its so tiring and time consuming..especially when half or more of the house is carpet!

    • Lewanne

oh this is hard …..the thing I hate the most is cleaning the bathtub!

    • Janet

I’d have to say the grocery shopping.  The time you spend time checking the sales, pairing up the coupons, putting everything in the cart only to have to then put it on the conveyor belt, back in the cart, out of the cart into your car and then out of your car in to the house to then FINALLY be put away.  It is so time consuming.

    • stephanie

Folding and putting away laundry is by far the worst! Wouldn’t it be nice to pull the clothes out of the dryer already folded! :)

    • Brandi

I agree with cleaning the blinds! Horrible job :)

    • Susan

Ironing is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to chores I hate, but a close second is making bunk beds or beds pushed against the wall!

    • Jana Gosdin

Baseboards!  So hard to be on your hands and knees dusting, scrubbing, and wiping!

    • Brendac313

I wish cleaning the tub was easier.  I have two bad knees and it just seems impossible to clean easily if you can’t get in the floor to do it.

    • Diane Warren

cleaning the bath tub and toilet!

    • Amydwill

I wish cleaning in general was a little easier! None of it is fun!

    • Everything will be easier!

    • Always_3xa_lady

i think the bills are the most difficult chore. if i could get rid of them totally life would be alot easier, that and keeping the walls clean.

    • Greneys

I wish that cooking was easier (or at least faster)  By the time I get home from work it is 5:30 and it is so hard for me to get a healthy meal ready quickly enough sometimes for my kids and hubby.

I wish that cleaning the bathroom could be easier.

    • Seymoretowns

I hate putting away laundry.  Unfortunately, there is no machine for that!

    • Malissa

I actually would like to win this for my girlfriend! They r on a budget and coupon :) but irons especially good ones are expensive! She is always borrowing mine especially because we have been making our kids cute thanksgiving and christmas shirts with heat n bond!!! So I would just like to make her ironing easier

    • Latrell

I wish that vacuuming the stairs could be easier.  Dragging the vacuum up and down the stairs is exhausting.

    • Ymorris2

It would have to be ironing. Mine is old and burnt up so I have to work overtime to get the wrinkles out.

    • Eamccune

Ironing….especially the 100 % cotton white shirt with ruffles!  Almost impossible to get it perfect and always takes about an hour.  Sometimes you end up with yellow or burned markings from going over it with starch!  Maybe the Hamilton Iron would do the trick!

    • Aajwood1029

I wish there was an easier way to keep dust out of the house.. I hate dusting and it seems like there’s dust on your furniture 5 min after you just dusted everything!

      • raye

totally agreed.  I tell my husband I just dusted and I really don’t think he ever believes me.  It seems to come from no where, right after you’ve just dusted!

    • Gredeker

Oh…no doubt about it…Laundry!! I never knew so much existed.

    • Gina

I wish Ironing could be easier, but after reading your review on the Hamilton Beach Duration Electronic Control Iron, I think my wish may be answered. Thank you.  :-)

Cleaning the bathrooms & ironing!  I have a husband & 2 boys, that should say it all when it comes to cleaning the bathrooms.  My iron is 12 yrs old & starting to leave “stuff” on clothes, so I hate to iron.  Plus when I put water in to “steam iron,” it leaves big spots of water on the clothes.

    • Monica G.

I wish there was a way to have my laundry all folded when coming out of dryer, then I wouldn’t need an iron! HaHa

    • Tammy

Vaccuming! I hate it. I need this iron too. I hate ironing and hate to spend the money on a new one. I am cheap and limited budget.

    • Katieowens24

Cleaning the kitchen for sure. It is a daily chore!

    • Cdlewis

I dread mopping my floors. I would really love a new iron.

    • N Burnette43

Laundry! How I wish it could be made easier!

    • jennifer

Putting away the clothes…..and of course ironing them :) I help my parents out who live next door as well as my household of 4!

    • Krystal

Cleaning bathrooms. dislike very much!! :)

    • S_b_weston

My husband does ALL the ironing too! :)  I wish laundry was easier!!! :)

    • Heather

      The ceiling fans!!!

    • Rachel L

Mopping is the chore I hate the most, I wish it was easier!

    • Lslorino

Cleaning the blinds.  Only way to get the dust off is to wipe one blind at a time.  I’d rather buy new ones every three months.

    • Smoochy_one

cleaning the bathrooms…I hate to clean bathrooms!  LOL

    • Jill

Laundry! There are way too many steps involved!

    • Nursewoody81

baseboards… love clean ones, hate doing it.

    • Brittany Renkel

I loathe mopping. We have scored concrete floors, a lab and a cat – we’re constantly sweeping and mopping and it never fails that I nearly bust my butt each time. I’m already clumsy, adding a wet floor into the mix is bad enough! Plus, keeping the animals away? Ugh!

    • carrie

Dust and Dusting Blinds ( still have not figured out an easy method!)

    • Nellah Prezalor

I am 69 years old and have been ironing for 60 years. At 9 years old I ironed my clothes and those of my younger sister. I  spent many hours ironing
for my husband and 5 children. I don’t mind ironing because it helped them look their best for work and school. My iron is over 10 years old and it is time for a new on

    • Adosborne3844

I would have to agree, the blinds – I wished there was an easier way. But I do HATE ironing.

    • Mmtinga

Putting away laundry is the job I like the least. When they invent a machine that washes, drys and folds the laundry and then puts it away I will be the first in line.

    • Emascroft1110

Washing dishes/laundry (definately a tie)! We don’t have a dishwasher (besides me)! I think I’d rather paint the shed than wash ’em!

    • Stella Stewart

I wish there was an easier way to clean bathtubs.  I really don’t like having to bend over and/or squat down in a bathtub scrubbing for what seems like hours!

    • Savingisfun

Cleaning up tracked in dried grass clippings from the hardwood floors.

    • Leilapearcy

Dusting!  Why can I never seem to be rid of dust?  It’s everywhere…baseboards, under furniture, etc, etc.

    • Beckwood

I wish doing dishes were easier. With the nicer pots these days, and non-dish washer safe items, I always have a pile of things I need to wash in the sink! As far as my iron is concerned- it is one I have had for 21 years since I went off to college. It has been through starch accidents, pleated skirts, 3 kids, and every sewing project through all those years including curtains, bed linens, 5 homecoming dresses, 4 bridesmaids dresses. All of this with the off switch broken since the beginning! Please, I really need a new iron!!!

    • Lori Brown

Folding clothes is the worst!!  I would rather hang everything up (which I do for my clothes) but I have 3 young children and a husband who have more clothes than I’ve ever owned.  Anyway, if someone could make that easier for me it would be awesome.  Our iron is 9 years old and a new one would help get the wrinkles out of my non folded clothes that sit on the couch for days after laundry day.  ;)

    • SusanS

I wish mopping my hardwood floors was an easier job!

    • seanika

    • Jkpardalos

I dislike laundry. It takes too much time, and never ends.

    • momof2boyz

cooking which isn’t really considered a chore. LOL But i absoultly HATE ironing. and unfortunatly hubby wears a suit to work every day so I’m always ironing dress shirts :( So i have to say Ironing

    • Suneelady

I truly wish laundry coud be easier. Sorting, wahing, drying, ironing, putting away …all just to just do it over again!   It is the totally non-ending chore – unless, of course, you live a “clothing optional” lifestyle!  :).

    • Joy

I really don’t enjoy ironing but I think dusting is even worse.

    • Rondacrowder

I iron wash and fold but i just don’t like to put away the clothes.

    • Beckysouthaven

Where to start!! Dusting never ends.Tub’s tend to wear you out.Floors stay dusty without daily sweeping (which never happens everyday) But,Ironing would be a little easier with a Good Iron!!!

    • Beth

Putting away the laundry!! I don’t mind the washing and folding but it seems senseless to put it away when you will need it within a day or two!

    • Lovebug

      Cleaning the window blinds!

    • Virginia

desiding what stuff to keep and what needs to be given or thrown away!

    • andy

Dusting!  Would someone pls move all my stuff so I can get under all my junk.

    • Jax219

Dusting (or trying to dust) the corners of the ‘cathedral’ ceiling.

    • Debbie

If only I could wake up each morning to find all of our dirty laundry had magically made its way into the laundry room, colors sorted, each stack smiling and waving their dirty sleeves at me saying, “Me first!  Take me!  I’ll jump in the washer, put myself in the dryer, and when next you see me I’ll just be hanging here!”

    • Judy

      cleaning the bathroom!! Hate it!!!!

    • Denise

      Cleaning my children’s bedroom!

    • CCA

      waking up in the morning!!!

    • Sue

Windows and Blinds are the things I have a tough time with.
I would love a new iron. My husband and I are the reverse of you and your husband. I am the one who hates wrinkles. You should see some of the things he has attempted to leave the house in!

    • Katie

Dishes and laundry…the two things that never end!! There are always dirty dishes and dirty clothes no matter what I do!

    • Twoartists617

My household includes two wonderful pets – a beagle & a mixed border dog.  No matter how much I work and use every new device to come on the market, the battle for a near hair-free home is difficult and never ending.  Ironing is one of the chores I still do on a regular basis because I air dry more than I machine dry, so wrinkles have to go….I need a new iron.

    • Candace

i wish that there could be some way to make doing laundry easier—uhh i dread doing all those clothes with a house of 6 lol

    • IRONING is THE worst!!  I set one hour aside each Friday to iron my husband’s work shirts and pants and it takes so much for me to just get the iron out!  Plus, our iron was dropped at some point and leaks water on the ironing board and clothes.  But I love the fact that it saves me $$ by eliminating our dry cleaning bill, and gas $ to and from the cleaners!

    • Couponing Mommy

I hate folding and putting away the clothes……well I also hate cleaning bathrooms, so its a toss up!

    • summervillegirl

This is an easy one- I wish laundry would be easier! It seems to take on a life of its own! I don’t mind the sorting/washing etc, but the folding part is overwhelming to me. Maybe it means we have too many clothes? And I guess I am blessed to have this problem rather than not having clothes to wash.

    • Jessica G

I wish the trip down the stairs to do laundry was easier!

    • Mary

If someone would clean my bathrooms, the rest of the house would take care of itself…I’m sure of it!

As an aside, I would LOVE to win an iron…I haven’t had one for so long and now that I am sewing fiercely again, I need one terribly! Thanks for this offer! :)

    • krazy klipper

I could use the new iron — my work uniform has to be pressed.  Least favorite chore has to be anything to do with the litterbox.

    • krazy klipper

I could use the new iron — my work uniform has to be pressed.  Least favorite chore has to be anything to do with the litterbox.

    • Terrismith1955

ok, is there anybody that actually likes ironing? i only do it when i absolutely have to. if i love a shirt but it will need to be ironed i have to seriously love it and it has to be a deal. i will still end up wearing it maybe once or twice.

    • Torlil1998

I need a new iron…mine doesn’t heat very well anymore

    • Ridgymom

Cleaning floors…..there just has to be an easier way…

    • Purple_star777

Laundry! Why can’t it put itself away? A new iron would help, wink! My iron is 8 years old, and lasted through my military days…it has seen a lot of pressing of uniforms. Would LOVE a new one!

    • Kristina

The number one household chore I wish was easier is laundry. First you have to separate, secondly wash, third dry, fourth fold, and fifth put it correct spot.
My husband is like yours, he likes everything to be ironed, even his jeans. Who knew you could iron your jeans?

    • Walkers2001

cleaning my hardwoods or shall i say keeping hem clean!!! it seems as soon as i swwep them or mop them dust has coolected right back on them!!!

    • Immn Native

Cleaning my jacuzzi bath tub is the WORST!! Trying to get into the jets. UGH!!!

    • cl

Laundry….it is never ending.  You “think” you are all caught up and your teen comes in in the middle of the color rinse cycle with his laundry, this is after you asked him 20 min ago BEFORE you started the washer to bring in all his dirty colored clothing.  By the way, he needs to learn to iron!

    • Kim P.

Laundry.  We are a family of six so there is a lot of it. (Two of them are under 3).  I could really use the iron because I currently don’t have one.

    • Erin Woods

Dishes! I wish we could afford to use paper products every day!

    • cindi

      Ironing  – definitely ironing

    • Karriehsmith

Matching socks after washing them, so tedious!

    • Heather

The ironing for sure, which is why I’m entering this contest, LOL! My husband is in the Army and his particular job requires him to wear his Blues uniform a lot (the dressiest uniform), so we do a lot of ironing that needs to have perfect results. It would be SO much easier with a new iron!

    • KarenS

I hate all household chores!! My hubby tries to help out, but honestly ladies, a man can never do as good a job as we can!

    • Leanna

      Definitely cleaning the bathroom!

    • Jodisprague

Scrubbing the bathtub! It breaks my back. I hate it.

    • Maria

I would have to say the never ending laundry!!

    • Deb Kelly

    • Anna Russell

At my age of 76 and my husband 83, not many chores are easy any more; but my most difficult chore and seemingly more often needs to be done chore is cleaning the bathroom.  My husband needs to stand closer to the commode, and I need to leave sooner to make it there.  Would love a new iron for my DH to iron his shirts; he is picky–I think they look fine right out of the dryer.

    • Lynnetta_sunday

Laundry…..if someone could make folding n putting away easier i would love doing it.

    • Eric

Folding Laundry or Bathroom, Tough one to decide on…:)

    • P Narvaez

DISHES!  I hate doing the dishes!

    • Betty

Girl I am sooo with you on the ironing part.  I hate ironing but I am not as lucky as you.  My husband NEVER irons so unless I can dewrinkle it in the dryer (hehe) then I have to iron it.  I really need an new iron too but hate the thoughts of buying a new one knowing that I will not enjoy that pruchase..lol

    • Johana H

pairing socks together…I can fold clothes but putting it away and socks it will sit in the basket for days.

    • Thedrakesx4

      Cleaning the tub/shower!

    • The_lightseys

I would love an invention that folds all of our clean clothes!

    • Asmusacres

I am with you on the ironing, my husband does ours as welll, I enjoy all the other chores,it is the ironing that gets left undone. With 4 young children and a husband, it would take me a whole day and a lot of burns. If it wee quick and easy I just might do it!

    • Mstw

putting away clothes…especially when it comes to matching socks. There has to be an easier way!!

    • Holly Ballenger

These wood floors are so hard to keep clean with two little ones.  I wish I had an electronic floor cleaner!

    • Melissabaker

I wish dusting would be easier…every time I dust, the dust seem to appear back on the furniture within a day!!

    • Aflanding

I wish there was an easier way to clean the bathrooms! And I would love a new iron!!

    • SC Chick

I wish washing baseboards could be made easier.

    • KimW

With 3 young children, I wish folding laundry could be easier! Can’t they create a household appliance for that?? :)

    • Sharonm2

I would have to say cleaning the toilet! yuck!

    • Devin

Ironing is definitely at the top of my list – I have to iron clothes for work all the time and it takes sooo long! Shower-cleaning could use some help, too!

    • Microangl

I hate ironing my husbands uniforms for work

    • Mama44god

Laundry !!!!! I keep begging my husband for another set of washer n dryers . With a family of 4 girls n 2 guys , plus hubbies uniforms ( which have to be “perfectly” ironed) We easily have 2 loads a day . Not to mention blankets, Jackets, stuffed animals , curtains ect lol I need 10 more hands and my ownlaundry mat.

    • Joanna

I wish there was an invention that would sweep and mop the floors! Oh, what a dream that would be. :)

    • ashley weaver

My dream is that cleaning a tile shower stall would magically become easier! I am really short and it is so hard for me to reach everything I need to clean without physically getting in the shower!

    • Tondah72

Floors! I promise within 5 mins after I sweep or mop I see stuff on the floors!  Although I don’t iron much like you which means when I do I often damage my iron.  The plate of mine is flithy, I worry about staining my clothes when I iron.

    • Julie

I wish my iron worked so my ironing was a much easier task and I wasn’t going over the same areas. LOL. Plain, but simple answer for today! I would love a new iron so my family doesn’t look like crumpled foil when they walk out the door.

    • Twoolsey

I do NOT like to iron, but it still has to get done. This new iron would at least make the job a little easier. Thanks for making this fun!

    • Kyladyslipper

Ceiling fans! I just hate cleaning ceiling fans.

    • Melmiles

    • Kelly

I think cleaning my big bathtub is the hardest.  I have to climb in to clean the far side…

    • Anonymous

I wish there was a machine that folded clothes for you!  I will be first in line when this is invented!

    • Sglockwood

Ironing, definitely!  I am not very good at it.  Couldn’t they make a dryer that ironed also?????

    • Deanna25

i want the shower to clean itself! there’s no way to do it without getting soaked and smelling like clorox for the rest of the day!

    • Ms Sensing

Laundry could always be made easier.  I need Rosie from the Jetsons

    • Julsjackson

Laundry – it seems to be the never ending chore.

    • Lena

That’s easy —-LAUNDRY!!! It’s never ending for my family of 6!

    • Joan 56

    • Busterperdue

Cleaning of the bathtub I have had back surgery and it is very hard for me to clean the bath tub

    • Veronica G.

I wish folding (white clothes) and ironing clothes could be easier…I cringe at the thought of having to do either one.

    • Lisa Hebert73

Floors and carpet.  I swear , everyday I vaccuum and mop, my hubby comes homes with the dirtiest shoes ever, or that is the day when i drop the bowl of sugar and it goes everywhere!

    • Sandyhigg

I wish the floors would sweep/vacuum themselves.  With 5 pets at home there always seems to be hair on the floor!

    • Bonniechukwurah

Mopping floors :( come to think of it pretty much all chores

    • Tiffany

I’m with KaraFos — I wish there was a machine that folded clothes and put them away. I don’t mind washing them; I just hate putting them away. :)

    • Aw Kelly

      unloading the dishwasher….errrrrrr

    • Sadaivey

I just had to throw out old faithful, iron weighed a ton but I loved it. I used it until my husband found out the cord would get very hot during use. I need a replacement but they are a little out of budget right now.

    • Adrienne

I wish folding and putting laundry away would come a little easier to me.

    • Ani

I wish cleaning the shower was easier.

    • Couponangel77

We are a young family just starting out. The chore that could be made a little easier would be our laundry and ironing chores. When I moved from California to Georgia to join my husband we bought everything (yes… practically everything) from the Goodwill. That included my not so hot (literally) Black and Decker iron and crooked ironing board. They both drive me crazy!

    • Christie

Laundry for six is definitely the one that makes me wish I was Tabitha from Bewitched and I could twitch my nose and it would be done. It is a revolving door to HELL! Plus, my iron was inherited from my mother in law and I believe it was purchased sometime around when electric irons were invented. :/

    • Susie

Someone needs to design a new toilet that is not so hard to keep clean.  Seriously!  The litle “bolt” thing on the bottom that are boy mess magnets, the under-the-rim area you can’t get to easily, trying to get the mess behind it on the floor is impossible.  Or maybe it’d be easier to just redesign little boys?  :)

    • Kristian

I wish completing laundry could be made a little easier.

    • Jsbyler

ironing….it’s my least favorite chore. i wish our clothes would iron themselves!

    • Nancy Ellis

The never-ending chore of LAUNDRY!!  We have 7 people in our house, and there is never a time when the laundry is completely done!  But this iron sure would make it more fun!  :)

    • Bleach

FLOORS! I wish for a double duty vacuum that would steam clean the carpets or polish the hardwoods at the same time.

    • Nesscoupons

Cleaning floors with 2 kids 2 dogs and an outdoor family it is hard to get them clean

    • Kristen Law

Finishing the laundry!  Someone to Seperate, Hang or put away!  That is the hardest part of my job!  I can make a mountain of clean clothes it’s the rest I hate.

    • lisa herring

I wish ironing could be easier. My iron does not even get hot enough to put on my daughter’s girl scout patches :(  It is simply too old and weak. I would love a brand new iron!

    • Lisa

      Floors. So many floors.

    • Joelsbff

Matching and folding baby socks! I have a 4 yr old, a 2 yr old, and a 9 month old and I don’t think that I have completed the sock folding duties since my 4 yr old was born! So very sad!!! I have a bag that is miraculously full (like Elijah’s widow woman’s oil pitcher) every day. It sits in my room taunting me nightly, and I just wish I could throw them all away and start fresh, but I know that there would invariably be another bag and another load of socks waiting for me.:)

    • Bamagrits84

All of them!  The worse things is my boys’ bathroom though.  YUCK!

I wish moping could be easier.  I need an new iron, my Shark died a few days ago.  I am ONE of THOSE that irons everything, T-Shirt, you name it.

    • Staff

Putting away the great deals we find here on Southern Savers!  Truly, I used to dread going to the grocery store, until I discovered couponing!  However, I still hate putting the stuff away! If I could afford to hire “help” it would be in this area.  I actually find ironing relaxing (though my iron is on it’s last leg).  It’s the only time I get to watch TV at length!

    • Regina

      Washing dishes!

    • AngieW

I am not really very fond of any chores. I work full time and commute about one hour to work and another hour to get home from work……… We have recently moved into a new house with hardwood floors that are absolutely impossible to keep clean, and when I THINK they are clean I will spot a little dust ball rolling over the floor (reminds me of a tumbleweed bouncing across the ground in a kid’s cartoon).  It’d be great if they’d clean themselves……I don’t think I would mind if the dishwasher would also empty itself when the dishes are clean.  :)

    • Veronica

      Cleaning the bathroom!

    • Rcoll37658

I wish scrubbing toilets (yuck) was not so yucky!

    • KellyM.

I hate cleaning the shower… We can put a man on the moon, but I have yet to find an effective cleanser that won’t burn the skin off my hands!  I would love this to be easier.

    • Laura

I wish cleaning the shower was easier.  We have a lot of Lime in our water and it’s the worst

    • Momoftiny2

I wish changing the litter box could be easier ~ like training the cat to use the toliet and flush easier!

    • Andrea

I wish the laundry was much easier!

    • Cassie Beck

      for sure laundry!!

    • Kerie

I actually don’t mind ironing at all…laundry is one of those chores that I can make sound big to my husband (who doesn’t do it). “Honey I sorted, washed, dried, ironed, folded, and put away 5 loads of laundry today. I’m worn out.” wink, wink.

My household chore that could be made easier is mopping. I hate it! My back hurts and I’m sweating by the end. :-(

    • Mkk389

      Cleaning the shower.

    • Brandi

really cooking dinner is my least favorite.

    • Lhill2

I can’t stand doing dishes. Ironing isn’t so bad… if my iron wasn’t dropped so many times it leaks on all the clothes.

      Dishes and Laundry.

    • Bcs0595

Laundry!  If a machine would fold and put it away – I’d buy it!

    • Michelle Estes

My husband does all the ironing too!! :0)  I would love to have a dryer that folded and put away the clothes for me :0) I don’t mind DOING the laundry but DREAD getting it out and folding & putting it away !!! Maybe if I did it quicker I wouldn’t need an iron!! THANKS!

    • Sclottoman

      Washing & drying clothes!!

    • beme2004

I wish the “Scrubbing Bubbles” actually scrubbed soO wouldn’t have to! I hate scrubbing the bathtub!!

    • Kossyb12

Definitely bathrooms! Especially with boys in the house!!!

    • bobo252005

I wish laundry was easier! I wash, and dry, and fold, repeat. constanstly. Although, I am thankful for the washing machine and dryer.  I can’t imagine how anyone ever got by without it!! :0

    • Brad Iroff

I wish dusting was more rewarding… Since dust shows up immediately…

    • Christy Rouse

Laundry in all its glorious aspects.

    • Ashthemac

Picking the gross food particles and other junk out of the sink. Ew.

    • Patty09

Ok, here’s the funny part…my husband loves to iron and I have been looking for a wonderful iron for him for Christmas (no kidding, he would love)…

I wish I had a magic genie to help me do all the windows in our house!!

    • Heather H

Folding and putting away the laundry. So time consuming!

    • Kendra

I HATE to iron. I have a job in the public eye that requires me wearing a unifrom, so ironing is a MUST (at least if the public is going to take me seriously), so a great iron like this sounds REMARKABLE!

    • Thealtar

I always avoid ironing by just throwing items back into the dry because it’s such a pain. As a kid dusting was on my list of chores I hate to do. Now that I am an adult with adult chores the top thing on toughest things to do is clean the bath tubs and showers.

    • actually, it’s ironic b/c I hate ironing the most out of any chores.  The irons I always get are the cheap ones which either break or leave marks or leak, you get the picture.  A good iron that works well (and one I don’t have to pay for :)) would be a dream come true!

    • Patmorgan2

Cleaning the tile floors – dusting is ok but scrubbing is a chore!

    • Danny

I have cervical dystonia so vacuuming is an impossible feat. My husband irons for me. I married an angel!

    • Amhutcherson2

Laundry in general! Wish those clothes would fold themselves. It seems so easy to get behind or end up with a dryer full of wrinkled clothes after a long day at work. Maybe a new iron would make ironing fun:)

    • Pvmajure

I would love, love a new iron! The household chore that I wish was easier is cleaning my porcelain tiled kitchen floor! Never gets clean, or as soon as it does it’s dirty! (I did not put this floor in. It was there when we bought the house)

My floors!! They puzzle me, I can mop or swiffer them but if I wipe them after that I still pick up dirt. Maybe it is just my active family but as a young Mama I feel like I need a wood floor tutorial! ha ha! :)

    • Aowsley

I don’t own an iron at this time….usually throw clothes in dryer to get minor wrinkles out, but doesn’t work when you want a crisp, neat seam in your slacks!!
This iron would fit the bill for me!!

Dusting, I wish dusting could be easier, I wish it would not build up so fast.

    • joaniec

Needless to say I wish ironing was easier, a good iron can make all the differance!  I would love this iron, the one I own is about 15 yrs old and is the plastic casing is cracked….water leaks while I’m ironing. Thanks for all you do to save us $$$

    • Charbdavis

My husband would love a new iron, too!!! When we married 20 years ago, I was going to be the good little housewife but I didn’t iron to his satisfaction (I may have done that on purpose! lol!) I wish there was a quicker way to clean bathrooms!

    • Nancy Sopher

Ditto on the shower.  My shower is plastic and gets some kind of mold buildup that’s gross and hard to scrub off.  I would love to find a better way to keep this shower clean.

i find that dusting is the chore I hate the most and I wish it could be made a little easier. perhaps a big blower to bring in and just blast all of the dust right off. Maybe even a big pressure washer to bring in and just clean the heck out of the whole place. I am also a husband who irons. My wife saw me ironing my work clothes before we met and it always stayed that way.

    • Dannysngirl

Ironing! I really dont care for it at all.

    • Annemariefarmer

Hi! I truly could not need an iron more! I started a small side business of sewing children’s boutique clothing back in may so needless to say my ironing tripled! One evening while sewing away I poured myself a glass of sprite to drink… A little while later my iron needed some water so I grabbed my glass of “water” and pored it into the iron and resumed ironing! All the sudden black tar looking duff starts pouring out of the holes on the metal part of the iron and and the smell of caramelized sugar soon fills our home as I realize I have completely ruined our only iron by pouring sprite in it instead of water! We have not yet been able to purchase one and my sweet mother has allowed us to borrow her to complete my least favorite hose chore of ironing as well as keep my sewing business going for now! Would love to be a lucky winner of a nice new iron since we no longer own one and it would also save us a little $ on tumble drying:) thanks, Anne marie

    • patches13

I do all the ironing in our home;  my husband didn’t learn this in any of his college classes as we were married very young.  Right now I’m using an old iron of my mother in law for clothes and one of my mothers for my sewing room.  HELP ME Please

    • Donna

Washing Windows!  I just hate washing windows, therefore they don’t get done very often!  Climbing on a ladder is for the birds!  My windows do flip in, but they are very hard to flip.  So I just push them up & down & do the best that I can do.

    • Lkhorsley

That’s funny because I hate irioning and my husband has to have his shirts starched to a crisp. He said just the other day that he would like to get a new iron so I’ve been searching for one ever since, cause he never asks for anything!
Thanks for all of your savings advice, you’re the only one I trust now.

I absolutely hate dusting–my least favorite chore for sure! And my husband also learned very early on that I do not iron (I just don’t mind the wrinkles, and if you hang it up or fold it straight out of the dryer, I just don’t see the need!), so he does all the ironing too–glad to know we’re not the only couple like that :)

    • Norsusie

Laundry…not necessarily washing the clothes, it’s putting it all away.

    • CburgMom

Laundry is both a chore and a delight.  The neverending pile of dirty clothes persists no matter how close to the bottom of the hamper you go.  Yet, carrying a basket of fresh, clean, sweet smelling folded clothes out of the laundry room provides a degree of satisfaction and enjoyment.  We need to find a way to get rid of the dirty pile the minute something is placed in the hamper!

Mopping! And a new iron would be awesome! I was ironing a few months ago and the iron fell off the board, and the metal edge fell perfectly on the cord so that it cut it in two! What are the odds? So our iron’s cords are now twisted together so we can continue to use it!

    • vickie

I need a new iron, mine just quit working.

    • I wish that dusting/vacuuming & mopping was a self-doing chore. With a 2 year old & 2 pugs that shed like CRAZY it’s just seems like such an uphill battle. I LOVE the look of my house when those things are done but it’s downright depressing when I look around not even an hour later & see clumps of dog hair in the corners or dog hair collecting on top of the furniture.

The chore I’m decidedly worst at though is putting away laundry. Not the washing/drying of it, just the actual getting it from the dryer into the closet & dressers. Seems it never happens in less than a week from being done haha.

    • Jenell

Well, to be honest..ironing is one of my most dreaded chores…maybe if I could replace my 10 yr old iron with a new one I would enjoy it more :)

I wish I could find some way to make folding laundry easier. Washing and drying is no problem, but you would think someone was chopping my arm off when it comes time to fold them.

    • Tiffanyeldridge76

I hate folding and ironing I have 4 teen and they all wear dress shirts and slacks one wears nothing but cargos the girls wear pleated skirts  and none of this goes to the cleaners that is 5 shirts and 5 bottoms per child and thats still not including my husbands clothes and mine.

    • Raynerae

    • susan morgan

The chore I wish could be made easier is putting clean laundry away.  The washer cleans it the dryer dries it, I don’t mind folding (that’s when I catch my soaps) but putting it all away is my least favorite thing to do.  In a household of 8 it takes a while.

    • Ucanbachef2

I iron every day – even jeans if they have wrinkles in them! We’ve gone through several irons over the years. SO… I wish someone would come up with a decent light starch, a truly self cleaning iron, and one where the soleplate is stick-free and doesn’t wear off after a year or so  :)

      Ironing – just like you!

    • Zelda08

Oh, My Goodness, my husband would die for the iron!!! He gets up every morning and starches and irons his shirts. The creases have to be perfect and just the right amount of starch!!! Ironing has to be the one chore I wish could be easier…and with the right iron, I believe it could be!

    • I wish that I could make laundry easier.  I absolutely hate it, even though it really is one of the easiest tasks.

    • Nurseloo

Oh, this iron does it all.  The one I have is so old that it has scorch marks on the surface.  It doesn’t shut off automatically, so I am always concerned that I left it on, details seem such a pain.

I wish someone would make it easier to clean carpeted stair steps.

laundry(ironing) and dusting.. And def, the window treatments.

    • Linhawn

A steam iron is essential for pressing seams when sewing garments or quilting.  I have always used a Rowenta iron with “burst of steam” but would love to try the Hamilton Beach Durathon.

    • Allison

I wish there was a easier way to clean the shower/toilets.

    • Mel

Oh a new iron would be great!  My son just took my last one back to school with him (yes, I had 2, lol).  He is attends a military college and has to press his uniforms daily.  He has already worn out the one I bought for him and now he has both of mine!  I have no idea what he is doing with them…boys ;o)

I hate cleaning the tub, all the scrubbing on my handa & knees is annoying. Ironing is a close second…i’m not very good @ it & only recently started doing it for my Hubby

    • cynthia

the hardest thing to clean is the dust and the cat hair!! I wish there was an easier way. I dust then i vacuum. . everyday!! But i could use this iron because the one we have now isn’t working good. It is rusted and it leaks out when we put the water in it, causing a stain on our clothes!!

    • P56sherry

Cleaning the shower and of course the ironing!!!!!!

    • Beth

Hmmm. Folding clothes, putting clothes away, washing dishes, emptying dishwasher, dusting, cleaning blinds, cleaning wood floors…yep those are least liked. However I do enjoy cooking when I plan it.

I don’t even consider ironing a chore because I never do it (thank goodness for the men in our lives who do). My least favorite chore is definitely mopping!

I wish cleaning the bathtub was easier…I always leave it for my husband.

    • Brittney

      Folding laundry!

    • Janice

If I had to pick one…the chore I would like to make easier is cleaning out the litter box…gross.

    • Monica

I think cleaning the rug in my room is the hardest. I have so much hair!

    • sweetlee

      toilet scrubbing is the worst

    • Wendylane85

    • alicia

      Cleaning the bathroom!

    • Beccabeachgirl

The worst chore for me is the one I just completed and either the two dogs or the kids come through and I have to do it again!  But honestly..cleaning ceiling fans (because once I do that I have to clean floor) and folding and putting away laundry…those two chores are the worst! Ironing is my downfall, my husband wears a uniform to work and I am so bad at ironing I cant even bring myself to offer to help him out!

    • Kelly R.

Anything with clothes…Seems like it is never ending.

    • Cheryl W.

I wish mopping could be made easier!

    • Heidi

I hate to dust and it seems like I am always dusting and/or running the Swiffer duster over my new wood floors.

    • Nursegagnon

    • Kelly

Anything with clothes…Seems like it is never ending.

    • yolanda

I wish mopping the floors and ironing can be done a lot eaiser

    • Becky

Dishes! We don’t have a dishwasher right now.

    • Jade J

honestly I hate putting away laundry.

    • Workmom1

I don’t have a iron now due to my son decided to do his own ironing on my carpet….you guessed it, placed it face down on the carpet. I now have an outline on my carpet of an iron. The carpet fibers stuck to the iron and a throw rug is now on my ironed carpet.

    • Anonymous

Anything to make cleaning my floors or bathrooms less of a hassle.

    • Cecelia

The dishes never seem to go away! As soon as I wash them, one of my roommate is back with more! Unfortunately we don’t have a dishwasher either except for me!

    • Casey Medlin

I hate to dust. I wish there was a way that I could seal up my house and use some kind of vacuum that will suck up all my dust. Though I would live that iron for my quilting lol.

    • Bentley Williamson

I wish cleaning my hardwood floors could be made easier!!!  :)  Kills my back!

    • Havens722

I hate folding and putting away laundry!! We always have baskets of clean clothes in our closet because we never put them away.

    • Lynda F

I wish the bathrooms would clean themselves!

    • Marthajane

      Carpet cleaning is the worst!!!

    • Ydnew7598

If I can just have a cleaning service that will work for me but I hate mopping…Gess

    • Kamoulder

I can handle most chores around the house, but ironing my husband’s shirts and pants for work every week is the worst!  It takes much longer than it should, but maybe that is because my iron does not have anti-drip, or a non-stick surface, or a continous stream of steam!

    • JJ

I wish all household chores were easier. A new iron would cretainly make that chore less like a chore!!!

    • DMart61

Dusting…I hate dusting!!  I always put it off as long as possible!  But, when you dust literally every inch of your “dustable” furniture, as my Mom taught me to do, it is quite the chore!!!

    • SLPLaurie

the floors, takes so much effort to clean them!

    • Holly

I too wish I didn’t have to clean the bathrooms!

    • Srhtabor

first off this would be awesome. I have never been able to iron and my husband used to take all his work clothes to the dry cleaners, now that we cant afford it he has to iron his clothes because I just cant do it. He has had the same iron FOREVER. But if something could be made easier it would have to be putting up the clean clothes and not leaving them in a pile.

    • Anonymous

      I hate mopping floors!!

    • Jonna_brinkley

I don’t mind folding the laundry, but I hate putting it away! I need more space!!!

    • mom2riley

Ok- I am entering because I REALLY need the iron. My most hated household chore is cleaning the bathrooms. Hate cleaning the toilets (where is that potty fairy?) and never have figured out the best way to clean the stand up shower-without taking one while doing so…there must be a way to do it without getting soaking wet?

    • am

In our house i am the only one who irons for every one it is not my thing but i do it for 4 of us as my husband does not know how to iron.   i hate wrinkled clothes and  i iron for my girls they are 2 yrs and 2 months. I think i can use a new iron.

    • Weblest3

You know those clothes you have to iron, that happen to be someone in the family’s favorite to wear? My husband has many of those and of course if it’s not ironed he’ll wear it anyway. I would like to have an iron that doesn’t leak on the clothes when I am using it.  I have made the job easier when I watch something as I iron. BUT cleaning the bathroom is the worse for me.Scrubbing the tub on my hands and knees is very hard and painful.

    • Jesstopher

I don’t like cleaning the shower

    • Ckingiv

Wishing ironing and dusting would just do itself!!!! lol

    • Debbie

      Bathrooms definately!

    • Angel

I wish bathrooms were self cleaning!

    • Amanda

I’d love it if keeping our hardwood floors clean was easier.  They show every footprint!

    • Pattiag2002

I hate ironing. My son is always buying shirts that 100% cotton and always look wrinkled. I really need a new iron because mine just does not do the job. I would really like to win this iron.

    • Jfmiller82

cleaning the floors….i have a dog that sheds bad and have to clean them almost everyday…if there was a way to make cleaning them fast and easy I would b so happy

    • Murphy0210

I wish that cleaning  the bathroom was a little easier

    • AP

Washing the dog! Our daschund has learned how to jump out of the bathtub recently, making it an extra difficult chore.

      Mopping, Ironing & Dusting.

    • CJ Little

I love ironing!  I even iron my pillow cases and jammies!   How sad…
A nice iron and I might do the neighbors ironing….

    • Ashley J.

I wish laundry and anything to do with clothes would get easier! If someone made disposable clothes I would for sure buy them lol :)

    • Amy T

Folding laundry! I don’t mind washing it so much, but I hate folding it!

    • Shelley S.

I cannot stand to dust, as it makeso me sick. I am extremely allergic to dust, and you cannot ever get rid of all of it.

    • Claudia

      Making the bed

    • Jadanford

I hate hate hate putting away laundry!!!!  I love putting it in the washer, love folding it and stacking it on the dryer, but grrrr… I can’t stand hauling it into the bedrooms… especially hanging clothes.  I need a laundry elf!  ;)

    • Laura

I really don’t like cleaning the shower.

My husband is in sales so every day I have the grueling task of ironing his clothes for work.

    • Swatkins1429

I wish washing dishes was easier.  It’s a pain around my house!

    • Carla in PBG FL

Cleaning the high chair is the worst. All the crevices in the straps and seat are such a mess!

    • Wendy

My least favorite is putting away the dishes.  Which I probably should do more b/c when I get my DH or DD to do it, I can’t find what I need when I go to cook ;)

    • Ginny G.

Floors. With 4 dogs it is a never ending battle to keep the dog hair cleaned up. P.S. This iron would be for my hubby. I do not iron. :)

    • Sarah Clark

Funny, I hate ironing!! My mother in law gets so mad at me. She cant stand something to be wrinkled. Since we are currently living with them(they have some serious health issues) her and I argue alot about wrinkles. LOL

    • tdbalfour

Folding clothes is my most dreaded chore!

    • crystal

Ironing for sure!! I HATE IT!!!!!

    • pat spangler

I don’t mind ironing but would love an iron that doesn’t drip

    • Lisa

I agree with you–ironing is unnecessary.  But the rest of my household wants it to be wrinkle free before they will put it on, so I do this horrendous chore for them.  This requires them to do the bathroom cleaning as a show of their appreciation, because hair all over the floor and sink is just gross!

    • GALisa

      Ever since the downturn
It is the drycleaner I spurn
With no iron, more wrinkles I discern
So it is for the Hamilton Beach Durathon, I yearn

folding and putting away laundry. no matter how hard I try I could never seem to get it done 100%

    • Cdbayne

I wish cleaning floors was easier!

    • Camarra jones

I do not like washing dishes and cleaning bathrooms, but I love to iron.

    • Sassymomma22boys

Cleaning the bathroom. Sometimes I wish my bathroom was stainless steel and I could just hose it down at the end of the day. Did I mention I have 5 year old twin boys who still have to be reminded to put up the seat? Yikes. :-)

    • Anonymous

I wish that each and every chore in my house was a little easier! ^_^

    • lilmissmagic30

I can’t stand putting clothes away after they are washed and folded.   Sometimes they might sit in the basket for a week!

    • Skirby611

It’s gotta be the ironing.  I don’t iron for myself, just for my husband.  After many years, we finally turned to the dry cleaners for dress shirts, but still, every time I do laundry there is this pile of ironing to be done.  If you put it off there is just more to do later.  I can’t wait till were both retired, and I can unplug that iron for the last time.

    • Kathilsd

I would LOVE a new iron!  Mine is old and was the cheapest I could find at the time, so this would be a much appreciated Christmas gift!  I can’t stand to mop, especially the bathroom floor…hairspray makes it so sticky! YUCK!:(

    • Odessa

I have to say its either between cleaning the bathrooms & ironing. I don’t know which is the lesser of two evils.

    • Sunshine

Dusting!  I hate to dust and actually enjoy ironing.  We do not have much to iron and I can watch TV while I do it and not feel guilty.

    • Jpvedder

Vacuuming!  Our dog sheds so much and I can’t keep up with her.

    • sljb2000

      Ironing and sewing repairs!!   Yuck!!!

    • Phyllis Young

We could use a new iron.  My husband loves to iron and we are constantly having to replace them.

    • Laura G Andrew

      Ironing and cleaning the shower.

    • Connie Spear

I wish either cleaning the toilet or ironing was easier.  I iron all my husbands shirts, even the ones he wears out to his shop.  His idea, not mine.  He’s worth it!

    • cuchi

Actually, ironing….. my iron doesn’t help me getting the job done fater.

    • Jessieto

My least favorite chore is dusting–guess I should’nt have so much stuff to move! LOL!  Would like a better place to iron since I do it everyday for my 2 grandsons!  They have to look good for school!  Need a new iron, have had mine about 10 years.  Just can’t find one that feels right!  Bet the Hamilton Beach Durathon would be just right!

    • Michelle Keraus

Mopping. I hate it. We have white tile in half of our house and can see everything. I’ve tried every mop/steam cleaner on the market. Guess what works best?? A wet towel and a lot of elbow grease. HATE IT!!!

    • tallygator

Ironing would be a lot easier with a new iron!!  Dropped mine this week…..

    • Angie

I wish Cleaning the toliet and dusting was easier. I hate cleaning my ceiling fans.

    • G. Ayers

      Mopping and cleaning the shower!

    • Coupons4roses

I hate cleaning the bathroom!!!  I tend to always put it off as long as I can…if it wasn’t for the fact that we entertain often, it probably would never be clean :)

    • sharon

I like ironing, if I had the time I would iron everything. But I hate cleaning the oven.

    • Laundry! I hate it hate it hate it. It never ends and there really is no shortcuts.

    • Flmoehle

Too bad they don’t make self-cleaning houses like they do ovens!!

    • Jessie Kelly

I wish the ironing were easier! Poor iron, two little ones that want to help, and not enough hours in the day…well my ironing pile adds up quickly :).

    • Liz Pak

Cleaning my hardwood floors. My kids destroy it daily with juice spills, milk bottle leakages, throwing food at the dog and an accidentally potty mistakes during potty training.

    • Deenacamp

My iron spits black specks and purple steam.  I could use a new one.

    • Anonymous

Laundry! I don’t mind the sorting, washing, and drying part. Even the folding isn’t so bad. It’s the putting away part that I can’t stand! Maybe an invention someday will have a robot help me :) I have a new baby who makes a LOT of laundry. I have enough clothes so that I only need to do mine once every couple of weeks. My husband and I do our own laundry, works for us for the last 5 years because I have so many “rules” about what can and can’t go in dryer, etc. ALSO – I am soo with you Jenny! I do not iron anything at all! If it has to be ironed I don’t buy it. My husband does all of the ironing for himself as his work clothing has to be pressed. We have an iron from our wedding 5 years ago that was the cheapest one available at the time due to a tight budget. If you don’t iron fast it tends to ruin clothes. A new one would be such a blessing :)

    • Stickrn3

dusting, it seems when you dust it comes back in one day!

    • Amiecher337

scrubbing the tub! urrrggh! wish it would just stay clean!

    • A.Pittman

Sweeping & Vaccuming.  I have a doggie (which I love) but as soon as I sweep or vaccum more hair appears!  Oh well! ;-)

    • Eckert S

Ironing and vacuuming stairs are my least favorite chores. A new iron would help with one of those!

    • Kimpingston

Cleaning my jet tub. :(  It’s so big, I just about have to get in it to clean it!

    • Bonnie

For me it would be cleaning the shower!!  the corners drive me crazy!!!!

    • fletchtr

I was cooking was easier. I absolutely hate to cook.  I would prefer to clean the dishes after cooking but don not like to cook.

    • Amy

      Unloading the dishwasher

    • Vickiadams31

      Cleaning the garden tub. VAdams

    • Michelle

Lord have mercy, it has to be emptying the dishwasher of clean dishes! It always makes my back hurt, I have tried the wait and see game but I think everyone else is also playing it!

    • Rachel

I wish there were an easier way to wash windows.  I hate doing that chore.
I love vacuuming because all I have to do is dump the bin on my Roomba everyday.  He runs daily at 2:30 and I come home to nice looking floors.  I highly recommend a Roomba to everyone.  Ours is part of our family.  My husband actually named him “Bandit”.  =)

    • Denise

      Washing out the litter boxes!

    • SC Nana

I hate dusting, I usually put it off. That is till company is coming and then I rush around like a mad woman Now ironing is relaxing to me. I would love to win this iron, mine fell and broke

    • Katheryn

I absolutely hate cleaning the kitchen. It would be a little easier if 1. I didn’t have a 16 month old little gremlin “helping” me and 2. if it would stay clean longer than 10 mins.

    • Bathtub cleaning! I hate doing it.

    • I’m like your husband, I iron everything and get very upset with him when he puts wrinkled clothes on.  so, a new iron would be great to have since mine is over 10 yrs old.
now, the worse chore is sweeping and mopping.  with a dog and husband in and out and living on a farm and them tracking dirt in the house (and with all this rain make that mud), I would say cleaning the floor is the worse chore.

    • Selene Montgomery

I wish there was an easier way to clean tubs and toilets.

    • Selene Montgomery

I wish there was an easier way to clean tubs and toilets.

    • Goettin

I hate ironing and dusting! blah!!!!

    • Kutiekt

I wish I could make doing the floors (mopping) etc. easier.  It is the one chore that seems to always needs to be done and as soon as you do it, it needs to be done again!

    • Kat

I wish someone would fold the laundry for me after its washed

    • Kat

I wish someone would fold the laundry for me after its washed

    • WDuBose

I wish I had something that would clean not just the inside of the toilet; but the outside of the toilet and the surrounding floor. I dislike hugging a toilet when I have to clean it.

    • Cokers5

I wish I had someone else to keep the bathrooms clean for me!

    • Denisea

I’m a weirdo, I actually like to iron. However, if I could blink and the kitchen floor would be swept and mopped without any effort, I would be a happy camper.

    • Michelle M

I wish there was a laundry folding machine

    • Catie

I HATE ironing, but I LOVE sewing, so I am forced to iron constantly and my  iron is oooolllddd!  I would love to win this one!

    • Melynn

I need an easier way to clean the tub. And I could use a new iron. Mine is going on 18 yrs, still works but could use a new one.

    • Mrs Michellebutler

My biggest pain has always been sweeping! I get it all nice into a neat little pile, and then I can NEVER get that last line of dirt up! I sweep & sweep & sweep it into the dust pan, & it never fully goes away! When I finally give up & think that’s good enough, I put my broom & dust pan up and pretty much immediately see some more dust/dirt!! AHHHH! It’s so frustrating & drives me bonkers!

    • Jessica

    • Tiffany

I would like cleaning the house to be a little easier.

    • Robinsonsharonm

I think it’s ridiculous that they make kids clothes that require ironing.  WHY?!  Definitely a bummer chore, especially with the iron I have that leaks water.  argh

    • Liz Palmer

I wish the dishes would put themselves away!

    • Deb

I have ironing in the basket for weeks at a time. Please let me win a new one-perhaps that would motivate me to get to the bottem of the pile…

    • CVS Lady

Dusting.  It’s endless in an old house.

    • katherine

I am the same as you with the ironing cant stand it we usually just throw our wrinkled clothes in the dryer on wrinkle release but we moved into a smaller apartment for the time being {long story lol) with no washer and dryer connections and now we have to iron them which is such a pain in the butt when we have to make sure we give ourselves ample time to iron now ugh!!

    • Kellyn Harver Smith

      Laundry… Actually All of it!

    • Ke32201

    • Silverluck09

Well pretty much all of it. But probably the worst is folding and hanging up your clean clothes. I can wash clothes all day long I just HATE putting them away!! So, how this would be easier….well when I was growing up I loved the Jetsons and I just knew when I grew  up we would have flying cars and a robot that cleaned and cooked for us. So I am ready for my robot now, thanks! (More than the roomba I need it to stand and have arms and stuff=)

And Jenny I am with you on the ironing wrinkles just fall out after a few minutes or if you iron it you just get wrinkles in it in about an hour! HA, however some thing just need it.

    • Sc_petite_delight

I just wish my 4 year old grandson could teach my 24 year old daughter how to pick up her clothes.

    • Denise

It would be nice if the bath tub could clean itself

    • Takoonz

I actually really enjoy ironing, it’s the washing and drying that I wish were made easier!  And my iron is so old – it has lived through undergraduate and masters degrees and several years of marriage.  I recently asked for a new one for Christmas, but won’t be getting one sadly as everyone is done shopping for me already!  :(  Thanks for all you do Jenny!

    • Nancy

I would love to never have to do bathrooms or dishes, but that just isnt realistic…oh to devise a robot that could do those tedious tasks we hate..

    • Jillscoupon

It would be awesome if the toilet could clean itself. I HATE doing it- no matter if it is really bad or spotless from a recent clean I think it is really gross…

    • Teri

I wish putting away the laundry was easier.

    • Denise

My hubby does all the ironing too! But if I could eliminate or lessen the hassle of a chore, it would be mopping. I don’t know why it seems like such a pain but I can’t stand it!!

    • Denise

As a child I would alway want to iron, but my sisters hated ironing, I loved ironing because I could stay in the livingroom and watch tv while I iron, finally they caught on to why I liked ironing.

    • Theresa

I wish vacumning was a lot easier.

    • Anonymous

Laundry. Uhg. I don’t mind clothes, but sheets and towels are such a chore. It does help a little knowing that my laundry detergent was super cheap, though :) Thanks Jenny!

Ironing.  (I still have my iron that I received as a high school graduation gift 31 years ago!)

    • Bobbi Jo

      Either laundry or doing dishes!

    • Doug

So you get free products and we have to beg for them??  Fuck you.

    • Mahalia52

      dishes, i hate doing dishes!!!

    • Diana

self cleaning bath tub would be great!

    • Shaneeneeh

I wish that dusting wasn’t a chore at all!  Easier would me not having to do it, but alas, it MUST be done!  :)

    • Kalynmarie

Putting clothes away! Laundry doesn’t bother me, but putting them away is so annoying! :)

    • Jjeck2

I wish cleaning the shower was so much easier!

    • Julie

I hate cleaning floors…the sweeping and mopping and vacuuming…all of it! LOL

    • Smmercer_2001

The shower/tub!  I would love if it was a spray and go kind of thing!

    • Petzzrus

If there was a way to make doing the laundry all together easier I would be for it…..I love to iron, I just dont have a lot of time to do these days….There also needs to be an ironing board that isnt cheap and going to fall apart..

    • Caitlin Rinehart

I actually don’t mind ironing…but I HATE doing laundry! I can fold and put clothes away but the simple chore of sorting and transferring from washer to dryer drives me nuts!!

I wish ironing could be easier.

I HATE to iron, but do it every week.  I like for my family to look good so I tape my favorite shows to watch and plug away

    • Ejejej65

Folding clothes is horrible!!!  I don’t mind the washing or drying, but folding is the worst.  We actually need a new iron.  You have to hold our iron cord in the right place for it to stay on!

    • Jmhollis1234

I wish cleaning the floors in our house were easier its a real pain to get these done quickly.

    • NikF314

    • mb

Same here on the ironing… thank God I married a military man…. I HATE putting away clothes… folding is easy but putting away stinks… would live out of baskets if I could. Also I have never had a dish washer, I love to cook but with 4 people the dishes are the worst.

    • Mkgil96

def putting clothes away, don’t know why but i procrastinate so much to do it i guess it’s because the pile is never done it’s a never ending project there is always laundry to do

    • Cinderella0855

if they can make washers and dryers that do a load of clothes in 15 minutes – why cant they make one that separates, pre-treats, loads itself, puts completed load in dryer and then fold or hangs and put away??? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??????????

    • Debbie

Sadly I don’t enjoy most chores, I need help with the whole house

    • margaret

I hate folding clothes..I wish they would fold themselves right out the dryer lol

    • Karen

LAUNDRY-is the worst.  Pack it all in brackets, carry it down stairs, throw it all in the washer, then move all the heavy wet clothes to the dryer, then back into the basket and back upstairs.  By the time I am done with all of that I’m to exhausted to fold them right away so they sit in the basket, get wrinkled,  then its time to IRON.  BLAH!!!!

    • Mcmcoups

Actually ironing is the chore i wish i would never have to do. I iron my husband’s dress shirts, can’t afford dry cleaners, but they have to look like they were pressed at the dry cleaners. My iron spits water leaving spots then they have to be washed again. If you push the steam button it is hit or miss if brown specks spray out. If there is an iron that doesn’t make you have to wash every other shirt you iron I certainly would like to own one.

    • Jamie N.

      I hate cleaning the bathrooms!

    • Coupnmelsa

If I had to pick only one, putting away laundry!

    • Melissa Scott

Laundry is the worst for me. I hate putting it away!

    • Jenjack02

Laundry. Now that I have a two-year-old, I’d rather spend more time playing with him than doing chores. Unfortunately, this means the laundry piles up!

    • Susan

I really really hate to Iron.  I am so lucky that my husband was miltary ans will do it most of the time. :)

    • Malissa

I’ve needed a good iron for years. I would love to have one especially to iron those nice holiday blouses.

    • Anonymous

Cleaning the bathroom is torture for me.  I hate scrubbing the shower and bathtub.  Hoping that with all the money I am saving with couponing, one day I can pay someone to clean my shower every once in awhile :)  That will be an awesome day…

    • Amanda

I don’t mind doing the laundry, but when my husband “helps” with it I am always left with more work. Half the time he leaves the laundry in the dryer to make it a wrinkled mess or he folds it and Ieaves it for me to put away. I iron all of my work clothes, so a new iron would be great!

    • Terri

I wish keeping my floors clean was easier. My little grandson crawls all over and seems to find everything I miss.

My husband also does the ironing.  He was in the military and prefers his ironing to mine!  He would LOVE this iron!

Cleaning ceiling fans! I stand on a rickety stool while holding one fan blade in one hand & trying to clean the rest of them…just not sure having a nice clean breeze while I try to relax is worth all of the hassle!

    • Elaine1521

I hate to vacuum. I’m disabled and in a wheelchair. When I vacuum, the cord gets all wrapped up in the wheels of my wheelchair. I get so mad…send my soul to Hell.

    • sunphant

I would have to say that ironing is quite a chore for me.  It’s one task i always put off till the last minute.

    • Tiffany

Cleaning the Shower!  It seems like it takes forever to get the shower clean and a week later it needs to be scrubed again.

    • Tiffo_02

Cleaning floors. I wish I could snap my fingers and be done with it. I would give this iron to my mom. She definitely needs a new one.

    • Lyndacoupon

I would love if a product could help me put all the clothes away after doing laundry for my 3 kids. Oh yeah, then arrange the clothes at change of season so the new ones were in the closet and the old ones were sorted for selling, donating and keeping for the next year.

    • Suey

Cleaning the shower and bath tub.

    • Bobbywpolly

Would you believe it.  I love to iron!!  I presently use a Sunbeam steam iron but would enjoy trying another kind.  The household thing I dislike most, I suppose, is running the vacuum cleaner.  I do all of my own cleaning (at 81) so I need all the help I can get.

    • Belinda Perry

I wish I had someone to do the laundry, from wash to fold/hang on hangers to ironing.

Funny — your husband much come from the same mold as mine — only he knew I didn’t iron BEFORE he married me.  I agree with the “wear an hour and the wrinkles will be gone” theory.  The whole ironing thing I’ve never understood — so any tool to make it easier would be welcome

I hate to iron but WILL NOT pay for the dry cleaner or anyone else to do it. My iron has to be plugged in a certain way to even get power (I jiggle the cord). and no it ill not hold water to steam – making the chore even worse!!!! Glad to hear about the Durathon.

I wish emptying the dish washer could be made easier!  It’s one of my least favorite chores, and I hate that my nearly brand new washer doesn’t quite dry the dishes completely.

I don’t like to iron, but I think the one thing I hate the most is dusting!!! It is never ending for me.

Ummm, all of it:-)  Just wish I could get ahead of it all.  It all seems to pile up so quick.  If I had to choose I would say the dishes.  I have to wash dishes twice a day to keep up, I don’t have a dishwasher.  Would love to win the iron, don’t have one of those either.  Gave mine to my mom.  Thanks for everything you do Jenny!!

I absolutely hate dusting.  All of the moving items just to get it dust free.  And the following day, the same item/furniture has new dust.  Kinda a waste of time if you ask me, unless you plan to dust daily.

Ironing for sure! I am So tired of the cord being so tangled making ironing worse than it already is!

DUSTING!  You can dust the room one day and the next day you can move a coaster and see where it was sitting.  A dust free house would be wonderful!

    • Michelle

My least favorite chore is cleaning the bathtub/shower! It doesn’t look as clean as I want no matter what I use. I’d really rather clean the toilet – much less work! Mopping is a close 2nd though!

I think DUSTING needs to be an easier one step process, where at my house it is two. I have to vacuum the top of the surface first, then use the dust cloth and polish to finish. It may speak to how long I put off dusting, as to my needing two steps.

    • Noahcat25

I don’t mind cleaning, but I HATE mopping the brick floor in our kitchen and den. No matter how hard you scrub it never looks clean and you have to use vinegar so you have to do it a day in advance if  you don’t want the whole house to stink!  Whoever did the renovations, must not have had toddlers! :)

    • djb

Hi,  I too hate to iron and my husband cannot stand anything wrinkled, so he does all the ironing.  He loves a heavier iron.  He has tried so many irons in the past.   I wish he could have a really heavy duty iron, so that ironing can be made easier for him.

It seems like the pile doesn’t go down fast enough.  It is much better ways I would love to spend my time that in front of the ironing board.  Second in the list: cleaning the shower, the smell of the shower cleaner is as bad as scrubbing the tiles : )

    • Tcolley

I hate cleaning showers! Funny that I don’t really mind the toilet because it doesn’t take very long but the shower takes forever – and it is hard to get water on some of the walls to wash the soap off!

    • Stacymdavis

I wish dusting could be done by magic dust fairies!

    • Laura

I really hate to iron, but I do it every night. Hint: Buy your kids an iron & board when they’re 14-16 & teach them how to iron their own clothes. It’s one less person to iron for every night!

Awwhhh.. the never ending laundry.  With four Children and husband to wash and fold for, it’s the most dreaded chore in the house.  We even have a laundry shoot from the upstairs to the laundry room.  I’ve gone through 2 irons and really could use a new one.

    • Ddavis2680

Ironing.  I just do not like standing still that long.

I hate cleaning the bathroom…but I also have a great husband that loves to iron!  He loves to see instant results, so ironing fits the bill!

    • Anonymous

the toilets i hate having to reach around the bottom for the dust and who knows what else accumalates down there. ick. My husband is like yours love and has to iron everything including under shirts why who know….:)

    • Chiefsangeleyes

      2 kids and a dog…I wish I had a floor genie! :)

    • CW

Doing dishes! Both me and my husband loath it!

    • Shannon

I really don’t mind most housecleaning chores too much…but if someone else could just come in an clean my bathrooms I would not mind a bit!…especially the bathtub…

    • SJG

My least favorite chore is ironing actually, I try to only buy clothes that don’t need to be ironed,  if they do need to be ironed, I usually toss them in a hot dryer, give them a good shake and figure…good enough!

    • kim

folding clothes & cleaning the bathroom.   I don’t mind the other household chores.

    • Cmcnab20

something I strongly dislike doing which doesn’t happen often enough because I strongly dislike doing it dusting and cleaning blinds! Its not a fun project, tricky, and very time consuming. Id rather have a never ending pile of laundry.

    • SavingisaBlessing

I wish the house could dust itself.  Wouldn’t be nice to have little helpers that were made especially for dusting?  Maybe the characters on the Willy Wonka Movie,  I think there called umpa lumpa could help.  Dusting is such a bore……

    • Tahjuannia

Dusting is the worst chore especially removing the spider webs from the corner of my high vault ceiling.

    • Queendivamuffin

I wish the house could dust itself. Wouldn’t be nice to have little helpers that were made especially for dusting? Maybe the characters on the Willy Wonka Movie, I think there called umpa lumpa could help. Dusting is such a bore……

    • Audry

i have equal amounts of hate for washing dishes, doing laundry, & dusting.  lol.

    • Peggyrsi

Mopping! I hate it! Would almost prefer to clean the floors on my hands and knees with paper towels and spray floor cleaner!

    • Megan Babinski

I despise ironing actually and folding clothes!!

    • Hrifkin

laundry is the worst for me, it always takes forever no matter how I try and there are always a few things that need spot treated AGAIN

    • Marycmc1

Ha!  Ironing and sewing buttons is my dreaded chore.  Maybe a new iron would help!

    • Karen

      Dusting, without a doubt!

    • amy

If I could avoid one chore it would be putting the clean laundry away.

    • Anonymous

I dread folding clothes, sweeping and moping.  I don’t mind the rest of the houseshold chores.  I just plus in the ipod and get to cleaning.

    • Vanne Betancur

the darn laundry! with a family of 5 and many different activities, just when i manage to get it all washed i realize i still have to fold and hang :(…

    • Jstwelch

I wish the laundry chores would be easier. Ironing and folding are  least favs

    • Shaunayj

I hate to mop oh and let’s not forget washing the dishes

    • Allisongard

I don’t mind doing the laundry so much but putting it all away drives me crazy!

    • LizA

LAUNDRY!! The never ending chore- so if the wrinkles don’t come out in the dryer then I agree- they will fall out on their own.

    • Darlene

I wish the laundry could put itself away!  I always run out of steam after folding everything and the clothes stay in piles on our kitchen table for far too long!! lol

    • Terri_scarola

Oh, there’s no doubt it’s ironing!!! I iron WAY to much! Well…lets just say the to-be-ironed pile continues to grow until my husband tells me he’s all out of clothes!! I reallllllly wish I could be satisifed with un-ironed clothes…but just can’t! It’s been passed down from generations! :o)

And also, mating socks! Looking forward to my son getting old enough to do those! :o)

    • Leslie

Would come in handy. Thank u!

    • Faye Wilkerson

I never catch up on ironing, I would love to send everything to the cleaners and just pick-up freshly pressed items.  When I first married, I had a friend’s grandmother tell us she just couldn’t believe we slept on unironed sheets.  She sent even sheets to cleaners.   Since I can’t do that maybe a new iron would help.

    • Matty P

      Steam cleaning the hardwood!

    • vlwinter

I HATE dusting!!!!  1st problem ~ 15 minutes after it is done, it needs doing again!  2nd problem ~ you have to move everything to dust, then move it back!  Plus, all those things get dusty too, so you have to dust all of them!!!  I HATE IT!!!

    • Guisler

things that don’t get tended to on a regular basis, like blinds and vents, even ceiling fans.  They have so many nooks and crannies that are hard to get perfectly clean.

    • connie

mopping my kitchen floor is the job I wish would do itself.  Not such a big deal but I hate mopping the floor.

    • Brian

Cleaning our kitchen floor.  It’s an old linoleum floor that takes forever to clean and wax.

    • Lynn in MD

      Cleaning the shower!!

    • Cynthia Huslig

I think the WORST chore would be cleaning the kitchen tile … yuck!

    • Anonymous

Folding the laundry is the worst for me. I am sometimes tempted to dump the whole load in a hamper clean and pull it out as I need it. Think of the time savings! Consequently ironing would be right up there with it. Funny how the two are so closely tied together!!

    • Laurie S

I wish mopping the floors didn’t seem like such a huge chore to me.  I put it off longer than I should.

    • Ken

I wish laundry could be made a little easier.

    • Allisonmcox92

Cleaning hardwoods.  First removing all the dirt and then mopping to get the best shine. We have the real deal and I want them to look great!

    • Sherry

I hate dusting…it seems like such a waste of time because the dust comes back so quickly. I would love an invention that would make the job of dusting faster and make the result last longer!

    • Renee Jeffcoat

We love baths at my house… but I do not love cleaning the tubs!!!

    • Candace

Vacuuming.  I love having a Rainbow b/c it cleans so well, but it is so heavy and the water has to be emptied like 4 times and it takes me all day.

    • jenny

Bought an steam iron made by Rowena Focus 3 weeks ago and just tried using couple days ago. I absolutely needed a new one, because my 13 years old Rowena just died and I want easy to use that makes my ironing so easy with great finish, actually I paid lots of money this new one,it irons great but it gets calcification and I can see droppings of white stuff,so I am going to return it and thinking going to check goodhousekeeping or consumer report what’s the best to get and for the money..Thank you..

    • Laura

I wish there were a magic button I could push to get my children into bed at a  reasonable time

    • Michelle

I wish laundry was a lot easier. I hate washing and folding.

    • Lyndalor

DUSTING! It always comes back in seconds after you dust it off…there’s got to be a easier way to handle these DUST!!!

    • Staceybt

I wish laundry would be made easier!!

    • Mn2scjb

My least favorite chore is whatever needs to be done at the time, but as soon as I get started, I am good to go. I love norwex cleaning cloths. It makes cleaning a breeze. But they don’t make an iron, so maybe a new one would help:)

    • Kelly

My new large-capacity front loading washer and dryer do a great job getting the tons of laundry my three boys generate clean and dry.  If only there was an easy way to get it all folded and put away so that we’re not constantly wearing clothes straight out of the laundry baskets!

    • kay pressley

I wish I had help with the laundry

    • Ginger_Lewis

If only that trash can could get to the road all on it’s own. I would be happy!

    • Danae

Dishes… I hate doing dishes and I feel like I am in a constant battle with my dishwasher. Thanks for this giveaway! :)

    • Frugal Renae

I have my own catering business and have invested in some table cloths and chair covers.  However my iron does not work well enough to allow enough steam to press out the wrinkles.  I really wish that I can find an iron that would help me make my job a little easier.

    • Jamiejrapp

Laundry! Laundry! Laundry! I hate it I never feel caught up. It’s never ending.

    • Amy

      I hate dusting!!

    • 1princess1prince

      Laundry…it never ends!!!

    • TinaO

I would definitely have to say laundry!!

    • Fgschofield

      I hate to dust!!!!

    • Limayriz

I would say folding and putting clothes away after laundry. I love doing laundry but hate having to fold everything.

    • obxlvr

I don’t like to mop at all!

    • Sallywllms4

I can not stand to iron, but me and my husband are teachers and it is a chore to iron clothing every morning.  We have the ironing board and iron standing in the walkway to the kitchen all school year.  I am so happy to put it away for 2 months in the summer.  My poor iron is just about on it’s last leg.  This would be a wonderful surprise.

    • Kimberly

I wish I had help pushing in all the dresser drawers that the rest of my family seems to not be able to do…lol.  I really don’t understand how they can leave them hanging open – this is a daily battle.

    • Scotta7

Love doing laundry and ironing .  Dusting not my favorite thing to do.

    • Redruby1313

ALWAYS>>>LAUNDRY I literally have never seen the bottom of a laundry basket…no, seriously, I mean it:)

    • Prestonlms

It would for sure be cleaning the bathrooms!

    • ticrisg

Dishes, no dishwasher, unless you count me, myself, and I.  A family of four can generate enough to drive one dishwasher bananas after saying, please wash what you use too many times.

    • Jamie

Ironing and putting away the clean clothes.

    • Nicara24

If I could cook dinner and never have to wash the dishes afterwards (especially to find they are still spotty after the dishwasher) life would be grand! P.S. I don’t like ironing either, but I should and my iron is from college and probably cost $10 so iteaves spots on my clothes lol. No wonder I hate it! Picking out a new iron would cause me anxiety!

    • Lisa

I love to do all the cleaning around the house but the laundry beats me down! Lol

    • andrea

Washing windows and glass doors could be made a little easier, I don’t like either one.

    • Mbennett3

Hate dusting! My husband also iron’s & would love one.

    • Vanessa

I don’t like cleaning tubs or showers!

    • Bambi

I wish cleaning the floors was easier.

    • Tammy B

I hate mopping the floors the most!

    • Heather

Folding and putting away laundry is the worst!

    • Lowes91

Picking up after messy kids!..Sometimes I feel like I have entered the “dump” when I go into my teen aged sons room..lol..never know what you’ll find lying around..I sure could use a new iron to teach him how to iron his own wrinkled clothes..

    • Migo0215

      do the dishes

    • Amber

The only dusting I do is whatever can be sucked up by the vacuum.

    • 5alexanders

i wish vaccuming could be easier. but a new iron would be great!

    • Jenni H

I hate, dread, loathe cleaning an entirely empty house now( Family has gone from 6 to 2) …I miss the hustle and bustle of my once young children…(They are now 18, 20, 20 and 21) I would give anything to fold their little toddler socks or pick up their noisy toys…or even clean up one toothpaste mess just one more time…. My worst chore is the not having a chore.

    • Anonymous

Cleaning the whole house.. my husband deserves a new one for christmas since he irons mine too. :)

    • J. Williams

I loathe – mopping the floor in the kitchen and bathroom only to go back 30 minutes later and it looks like it did before I swept and mopped…..aaarrrrgg.
I like – ironing,,,,,I spent many years coaching and on the road recruiting so at times I lived out of my suitcase…..admission, I iron my t-shirts and shorts too!  I also am proud to have served in the USMC reserve and you know we iron everything!

    • Babydbabycmama

I dread mopping.  I always try 2 put it off, but then something gets spilled & I can’t any longer

    • Disfan5984

I don’t like to scrubbing the bath tub.  It is a forty year tub and no matter how good I clean it it still look bad.

    • Heather

I hate doing dishes!!! I wish they would just disappear. The iron would be great because I don’t have one and my husband joined the army 6 months ago and I’m going to need to learn how to iron now.

    • Perri

Cleaning the bath tub!  My husband does all the ironing, and he would LOVE a new iron!

    • Anonymous

i don’t like folding and matching socks

    • Countrygirlncamo

I’m right there with you I HATE to iron but my husband loves too, he is always complaining about how we need a nicer iron.  As for me I had cleaning the shower!!!  I’m a bit verticaly chanellged so it’s not a fun chore.

    • Anonymous

Unloading the dishwasher is a chore I put off till absolutely necessary every time.  It’s just me here so I load it a few pieces at a time but unloading it is a headache.

    • Kwaters70s

I would like to make laundry easier with my household of seven. In a week, we dirty up about 10 loads of laundry. We purchased front load machines but I still can’t keeep up with what we go through. It’s maddening!!!

    • Ladybarber0903

I love my self cleaning oven but I wish I have a self cleaning house!

    • Guest

I wish vacuuming was easier.  I don’t mind doing it, but it takes soooo long and the tracks don’t seem to last very long.  :-)

    • Scarletjewel21

I wish it were easier to clean our bathtub.  It’s textured on the bottom and it’s impossible to keep it clean!

    • Lps48

I do not like to iron!! My husband does the ironing at our house. He would love a new iron for his retirement gift.

    • Veronica

i dont like doing dishes, it’s an endless job!

    • Brm702009

Just the other night my poor iron had to be put to rest because I could hear it making a frying noise. I sure hate that because it was a good one. I can’t seem to keep up with dusting.

    • TNChickadee

Ironing could definitely be easier… the only other thing would be cleaning the shower…oh how I dread it!   I would absolutely love this iron and I need a high quality iron desperately!  :-)  Thanks!

    • TK

Washing the dishes. I have so little sink and counter space to easily do them.

    • Sandy

That’s a great looking iron.  I actually like to iron too.  Cleaning the shower is the worst job of all.

    • Joymckenzie1

My least favorite chore is changing the bed linens.  I don’t mind making up the beds, but I don’t like changing the linens.  As far as clothes, I think it is sort of therapeutic to fold clothes.  My daughter and I usually do that together.  I like to sort socks, and I like to do the ironing.  A good iron makes it even more enjoyable.

    • SDARBY

      Cleaning the toilets! Eeeeewww….

    • Lee

      Cleanint the toilet.

    • Patstekarmic

cleaning toilets, nasty job but its gotta be done.

    • Chandlerservicesllc

I wish that making hardwood floors beautiful was a little bit easier. I clean post construction houses with lots of sheetrock dust, and its so hard to get it spotless. I end up cleaning them multiple times, to so so and I am never happy. Guess you could say I am a bit, OCD =)

    • Pabuech

Cleaning bathrooms, I am the only female in the house with 4 boys ranging from 15 to 53…..they are gross!

    • Mary Beth

I would love for the tubs/showers to be self cleaning. :) merry Christmas to all our southern saver friends!

    • Anonymous

I wish I had a nicer iron. I had a good one but it quit working so my mother in law gave us one that doesn’t shut itself off. Their are three of us that irons and more then I care to mention we forget to shut the iron off so I wished I had a good iron again :)

    • Krista

I wish the laundry would do itself. It sometimes seems neverending :-)

    • Trottersfive

Washing dishes is a never-ending task, even with a dishwasher.  Laundry runs a close second.

    • Heater1212

Well, I would have to agree with you. Ironing! I’m not a fan at all and my husband used to be so particular about it that back in college he even ironed his undershirts…yikes!

    • Tmcentee3453

I wish cleaning the shower was a little easier!

    • Amy Kinard

i hate dusting!!! so i wish that was easier :) oh and I don’t like ironing either!! :)

    • Aprillowery81

Ironing my husbands marine corps AND police uniforms!!

    • Kybluejazz

      Cleaning the hardwood floors.

    • Inkpressed

Household chores…who has time! LOL! My favorite lifesaver is my dishwasher. I’d like to do away with house cleaning all together! But it definitely would be great if we could find away to keep dog hair ON THE DOG!

    • LewMoose

I wish the laundy would fold itself!

    • Ckvivere

I have an old dishwasher so washing dishes would be the chore I would like  to be made easier.

    • Sfunky47

Dusting, just when your done seems like you have to do it again.

    • Anonymous

We all have wishes that we think would help to make our lives a little easier and I do too.  But I have to be honest and say that I am thankful that I have a dishwasher to load and that I don’t have to go to a laundromat and that I don’t have dirt floors and that I do have indoor plumbing……however, it is so difficult to find an iron that will get out every wrinkle every time and that would really be nice!!
      Merry Christmas!

    • Linda D.

    • heidi

Believe it or not I LIKE to iron!   I am a quilter and the iron is an essential tool for getting corners right.  I hope I win a new Iron, mine has had it and it would be wonderful!

    • Binkle

Oh how I dislike ironing! I wish somehow each week it would get done magically without me lifting a finger. Lol

    • Crrevis

Cleaning the bathroom…must be easier…I hate it!!

    • Hammer12

Dusting. I can’t stand it. I love ironing only when it involves sewing.

    • Ashley

Actually getting the laundry put away after its folded.

    • Lauren

I wish the shower/tub could clean itself (really…) but ironing certainly is one chore I try to avoid all together!

    • Ann

      Mopping the floors

    • Jla00

I wish just keeping the house clutter free could be made easier.  That seems to be the hardest thing around my house.  Everyone brings things home and things just get set where ever.  I like things to have its on place neat and orderly, but this is hard when other family members don’t mind where things are put.

    • Chall

    • I think that ironing is the worst chore also!  My husband used to argue with me about it all the time when we first got married.  He also occasionally irons, when there is something really important for him to attend, but usually he doesn’t  either.  When I do laundry, I make sure that the clothes are as wrinkle-free as possible.  This iron sounds like an answer to both our prayers!

    • Deanna

I do not iron. Ever. My boyfriend has to “dress up” for work, so he googled how to iron and learned. I wish that dust would disappear, there are new dusters but I don’t think that they do much, we need some dust busting innovation!

    • Laurie

Dishes! I love to cook but cleaning up the mess is no fun.

    • Brettespace

      Seriously ironing!!!!

    • keri

      Cleaning bathrooms!!

I wish that cleaning the shower could be made a little easier.

    • Crydparker

Washing and putting away the clothes!

    • moe4kim

I need an elf to help fold laundry!  I always seem to have five or six load piled up in the laundry room.

      • Dawnbakeringram

I used to have that, too–I bought 2 sets of utility drawers from ikea and now every family member has a drawer and I literally fold laundry into the drawers!  It makes my life so much easier!

    • Pwalker1

All chores! ha! ha! I keep my house and my parents house so the chores are endless!

    • Dawnbakeringram

I really wish I could make vacuuming easier!  (And, that my dogs would shed less so I wouldn’t have to do is so often!)

    • Ashley Ward

I wish laundry  could magically be folded!

    • chrystal bachmann

    • Cindy Dickerson

    • Arf52773

      LAUNDRY!!!  It is never ending!

    • Savannahcouponshrink

it is hard to chose my least favorite chores, but I would have to go with cleaning the oven and the shower

    • BB

Ironing for six is never ending…

    • Winona

LAUNDRY! Yuck, it seems laundry is never ending with a household of five. I don’t mind ironing. I have to iron for my husband every morning for work.

    • Linda George

Well, it is the ironing that I really wish were easier. I am 53 years old, and I have yet to iron a shirt the correct way. I love the put together look of fresh-pressed clothes, but by golly, I have a tough time with my husband’s shirts.

    • Anonymous

For me its folding laundry piles of it. I try to make the kids help out too . Wish  they could invent a laundry folder machine .

    • Deb

I wish ironing were easier! That’s one of my least-favorite chores.

    • CarolB

I wish there was an easier way to keep the bathrooms clean.

    • NCcouponGuy

I wish the whole laundry process was easier. There is only my wife, daughter and me but there is constantly piles of clothes everywhere, clean, dirty, unsure, its a mess. And we dont even have an iron, so all the clothes are wrinkled!

    • Susan

      Ironing 8)

    • Kathy e-mail subscriber

My grandson (12) is very particular about his clothes.  He irons his school clothes for the next day every night.  This would be a hoot if I gave him his own iron for Christmas.

    • Melinda4d

Oh boy, that is a loaded question.  By far it would be folding laundry.  I have five other beings in the house that will walk right past the dryer full of clean clothes unless they need the one piece out of it and then all the clean clothes go on the floor in front of the dryer.   Maybe I could borrow Santa’s elves this year to help me fold the ose dreaded clothes. :0)

    • Carlean

When we were dating my husband used to show up at my house with all his shirts to iron – and he ironed them.  Even after we are married I found it was easier if he ironed his own shirts – his was so particular.   Not a chore that I enjoyed doing.

    • Merry

i wish laundry could do itself. and maybe dishes? (=

    • Cham4me

My daughter’s iron has recently quit working and this would make a great Christmas present for her.  This iron sounds like what she would need.  Steaming continuous would make ironing faster and easier so she would have more time to spend with her little one.

    • Tdiaz25

I wish all clothes were easier. I hate finding mixed socks, folding other peoples undies, and dont get me started on ironing.

    • Lea Smith

I agree, folding clothes, because I too have 5 other beings that will just leave a pile of clothes forever, or just leave them in the dryer like they’re gonna fold themselves!

    • Bugsmommy2

Mopping floors, and keeping the kitchen clean in general!

    • 4flgators

OI don’t like cleaning at all but the absolutely most despised chore is hanging up clothes. I’d much rather clean toilets!

    • Akrichard

I wish laundry would magically do itself!

    • Amy

Cleaning the kitchen.  It seems like I am either mopping the floor, cleaning the countertops or just picking up in the kitchen!!!

    • Susan D.

With 5 teenagers that all play sports, laundry would be the chore I would have to say we have difficulty keeping up with.  Our two girls play two sports a season on travel teams and we do at least 15 loads of wash a week!

    • Jasonandchristi

I wish all the chores would just magically get done!  Wishful thinking huh?  I hate cleaning the bathroms the most and Dusting!

    • Vondaeverhart

Of course it would be ironing.  So many people do not iron anymore they let the dryer’s do it for them.  Well, I iron everything! :) My sisters make fun of me and my girls – they think I am crazy However, I still IRON.

    • Erica

Laundry! Wish there was a dryer guranteed not to shrink clothes so that i wouldn’t have to hang every piece of laundry that my 2 year old and 4 month old accumulate. This would mean less ironing too!!!

    • Nikkipel

      Vacuuming the floors.

    • Lana McSwain

Keeping the grout and seals around the tub, shower, and sinks mildew-free.

    • Kristina

Scrubbing floors and particularly the corners.  Seems whenever you sweep and mop there is no good way to get all of the buildup out of the corners unless you get down there with a tooth brush.  Surely there has to be an easier way.

      The laundry-  it never ends!

    • Ok first of all I don’t own an iron and have a hubby like Jenny’s ;) I wish cleaning my tile floors was an easier task – everything either leaves streaks or doesn’t get all the dirt up!!

    • Skederbear

I wish the dishwasher wuld Load itself, just one of those things I really dOnt enjoy for some reason/:

    • Csm1342

I hate that my dressing room counter and sink are forever dirty.  The combination of hair spray and dust are the worst.  I love to iron though…

Laundry, with 3 boys and a husband… Laundry never ends. As i finally get through the washing and folded there is just more to do! Blegh! :)

    • C. Williams-Johnson

I wish there was an easier way to shampoo the carpet.  I dread having to do that chore, but with a little one in the house it’s needed all the time.

    • Rose

My husband is an executive chef and he wears the the white chef jacket with his name and position on it.  He is fussy about his jacket being neatly ironed because he is “out there” in the public eye.  SO!  I have to use the old stain treatment and iron his five chef jackets each week and he’s a big man, therefore a big jacket.  My present steam iron seems to have given up the ghost as far as the stream is concerned.  I would love to try the Hamilton Beach Iron to do my LEAST favorite chore!

My home stays rather clean these days since only two of our 5 children are left at home. They both do their own laundry too! The task I find the hardest to start is cleaning the refrigerator. All the rest I don’t mind. I will do the ironing with the radio on. The ironing board is my dance partner! LOL

    • Sarah

I wish ironing was a little easier…it is my LEAST favorite household chore!

    • KGould

I like doing chores…..only when I want to do it… it’s something like “I don’t want to do it but when I do I actually enjoy it” until next time around…
      does anyone ever feel that?

    • Recyclethis2

Keeping shower doors clean.  Have considered putting up a curtain to hide the soap scum.

    • Rob

It would be nice if the yardwork would do itself.

    • Janet Leimkuhler

Ironing, seriously. I have a family of four and I am a little ocd when it comes to nice crisp clothes. It seems my ironing pile never goes away….maybe if I had a better iron it would make it a little quicker.

    • Beams58

I don’t like cleaning the bathrooms!

I wish folding clothes never had to be done! I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and by the time I get a whole load folded they have it everywhere all over again…so I end up folding part of a load, putting it up, folding part of a load, putting it up…takes forever, but at least it eventually gets done!

    • Deborah

i really dont mind ironing. I iron my uniforms every morning and i really could use a new one. the thing i dislike doing most is cleaning mirrors.

    • julie Cupp

Emptying the dishwasher. It is so easy yet I avoid it at all costs. Weird thing…I love loadig it!!!

    • I dislike doing laundry!

    • Melissaandmolly

I wish the laundry would magically come out of the dryer without wrinkles and fold itself and put itself in the closet or drawer it goes into!

    • Kris

Have to say ironing.  Feels like it never ends.  Hopefully it would be a little easier with a Durathon Electronic Control Iron than with my old one.

    • Jenniferwashburn1

I not only need a new iron, I need a new ironing board because right now it’s piled with clutter. I hate dishes the most though. Doing dishes feels like a never ending circle of misery.

    • Jorgensen673

      How great is this!

    • Soss336

My enemy is the floor.  constant sweeing, vacuuming, mopping, steam cleaning only to repeat the process a few days later

Folding and puting away clothes is something I avoid doing…each closet in my house has a basket of clothes overflowing with clean clothes…once they start overflowing onto the floor I suck up my selfpity and begin the hours of folding and putting away. Each time I tell myself I’m going to fold and put away right after they come out of the dryer…I don’t know why I lie to myself? Just waiting for the robotic laundry folder to come onto the market.;)

    • Jorgensen673

Wish that the endless laundry and dishes would do themselves!

    • cher

scrubbing the dirt off my bathtub and mop my floor

    • Kellyjw

Hmmm, out of all the household chores, I think I dislike dusting the most! My husband, like yours, is in charge of ironing so that’s what he would probably choose ;) Oh, and we could REALLY use the iron since ours gave out last month and we haven’t been able to squeeze a new one out of our tight budget! ;)

    • Kevinnicola

Putting away the clothes after they are washed and dried. Hate it! :)

    • Rebecca

If only dusting were a snap of the fingers…..

    • Fifaroono

I would say laundry.  It is NEVER finished!!  The washing part isn’t bad, but the folding and putting away is soo time consuming.

    • Susan

dusting!!  I hate to do it!

    • DL

Like you, my hubby does all the ironing. That chore takes time and attention, I don’t want to expend. I’ll do it, but he’s a lot better than I.

    • Cmccurry

    • Sprince0804

My least favorite chore is definitely sweeping and mopping.  I have vinyl and hardwood floors and it always seems that no matter how much I sweep/mop, it’s always dirty.

    • ashley

laundry…it is never ending! washing, drying, folding, ironing & repeat!!

    • Mandicorbitt

I wish cleaning the bathrooms were easier.

    • Amandaleigh00

Oh how I wish vacuuming was easier! It kills my back and I refuse to do it – so I usually ask my boyfriend (don’t worry, we live together!) to do it. :)

    • Sandra

I would have to say that mopping & vacumning are my least 2 favorite chores to do.  I think dusting would come in third.

    • Jackie

I wish cleaning up after myself was easier ;o) my hair sheds all over the bathroom, clean clothes pile up in the closet, and ironing is one of those things my husband doesn’t like to do.

    • Gennweber7

laundry! I hate putting it away!

    • Moodinator

DUSTING.  There should be a switch to flip, like a light.  Poof!  Dust gone!

    • Deb

I love our recently tiled kitchen/eating area  floor but oh! the grout is a killer ~ only know to get down on my hands & knees with a toothbrush & bleach & this is 1 time I don’t love the large area!

    • Christina

I would say loading and emptying the dish washer.

    • Felicia

I wishh that those hardwood floors throughout my house would magically come clean with just a click of my heels.

    • Ramey

I can’t stand doing the dishes, I need Rosie the Robot from the Jetsons.

    • Rattler3388

I would have to say I am like you Jenni I hate ironing. I would do anything to avoid having to iron something! My son likes to help when I’m ironing but I always fuss at him because my iron is old and the flakes are starting to come off of it……I keep saying I’ve got to get a new iron…..

    • Jill

Folding laundry!!!!  I would rather paint the baseboards!

    • Connie Veronica

I think ironing is by far my least favorite household chore. I would love for it to be made easier.

    • Iecarroll

      Picking up…books, newspapers…it never ends!

    • Kathy

I don’t iron much!  My husband finally started buying dress shirts that don’t need ironing (he doesn’t like it either). Now if we could just figure out a way for the dishwasher to unload itself!

    • Sheenabsb

I hate ironing dress shirts would love for it to be easier!!!

    • Destiny691966

I cant stand ironing and dont do it very often. Would love for it to be easier.

    • Wyndhamlaw

Dishes!  My dishwasher doesn’t always get things clean so I end up hand washing.  Uck

    • Eli

Bathroom Tiles!  I wish there was a quicker way to get the showers cleaned!  We have 3 bathrooms in our smallish house – all of them have tiled walls.  Between the grout and everything else involved in shower cleaning – I dread it!

    • Dnet77

Cleaning the toilet, yuck! I wish elves would just do it for me.

    • Peggy

Keeping rooms and rooms of tile floors (and grout) clean and not gritty!  I swiffer/dust mop and/or vacuum and wet mop and it seems like they are dirty 5 minutes later!  And I don’t even have children at home anymore.

    • Jennifer H

I’m with you on ironing, but what I hate the most is putting away laundry!  I can get it from the dryer into a basket, but I dread folding and hanging!!

    • Abbie

I wish the bathroom could clean itself.  I depise cleaning it and it shows!  :(

    • Coupons4gma

Ironing!  Love the way the clothes look, but it takes alot of time to do!

    • Beth

I dislike cleaning the shower stall.

    • Vtmegan

      Bathrooms, dusting, and ironing!

    • Adeana2000

I hate doing the dishes.  Even using the dishwasher, because you have to put away the clean dishes, load the dirty ( while rinsing them off), then start all over again.  Maybe I need to win a new dishwasher so I can skip a step or two.

    • Mindy Srinivasan

I wish cleaning my master bathroom shower was easier.  The sliding glass doors drive me crazy!

    • Jringer4

I wish the dishes would do themselves. My parents used cleaning the kitchen as a punishment when we were kids, so now I absolutely loathe it.

    • intheSonshine

Keeping the dishes done is next to impossible it seems in our home!   I wish I could get thru one day when there was a nice shiney sink and empty counter because everyone washed, dried and put away as they used the dishes! ;+)

I am a stay at home mom of three and I home school my oldest. We go through most of our dishes in a day and it seems that it usually takes me a couple of days to get to them. My dishwasher doesn’t work, so certainly my chore that I wish I could lighten would be the dishes. ..Btw, my husband does the ironing in this house also. I destroyed too many of his shirts in the first months of our marriage.

I am a mother of a 16 year old son and he is very particular on his clothes (if they are wrinkled or not).  I am glad he is like this, but he even wants his everyday clothes ironed.  I have an iron that is 14 years old, so this would come in handy.  If only they would come out with a robotic washing machine.

    • Vanessa

Cleaning the floors!  Hate it … it seems neverending.  But the only way around it would be hiring a maid.  And that is NOT going to happen :-)

    • Cassie Olliff

I have two boys.  I wish I could keep their bathroom spotless.  I am afraid that is just a dream!

    • Samanthacox87

Doing dishes is my tedious task that I wish could be made easier! It is something that needs to be done every day because I cook and eat at home a lot to save money.

    • Lauren Burrows

I wish folding laundry could be made easier- and putting it back in the drawers. I don’t think there can ever be a machine to take away this chore.

    • wendyc33

i would say ironing for sure. or just get someone to do it for me is easier. :) maybe a robot

    • Julie M

Cleaning the bathroom!  I hate it!!

    • WhitneyC

Cleaning my TILE SHOWER!!!  I scrub with cleaner, I try scrub-less cleaner, I’m worried about what to use so the grout won’t be ate away, I squeegee, I wipe, mildew gathers underneath the silicone sealer….UGH…it never ends!!!!

    • Katie Osterritter

Scrubbing floors!  I have never found a product that does it well enough for me!

laundry… a single mother of two very busy boys, the laundry piles up fast.  i need me a magic wand :)

    • WendyF

I hate dusting. No matter when I dust, it seems like within hours, the furniture needs it again! With 3 kids running in and out, the dusts seems to fly constantly at our house!

    • Jessica Lee

Definitly dusting. With two cats it seems like twenty minutes later I see dust and hair

    • Scox49

I hate cleaning baseboards!  The older I get the harder it is to get down on the floor!

    • Cheryl

I think just the day to day cleaning is the hardest.  I have 3 small children at home, one of which I am homeschooling.  Therefore, trying to keep things in their place is just a thing of the past.  Maybe the chore I wish would be easier is overlooking all the toys in the living room.  LOL!

    • Kellie M

Changing the diaper pail…. eewwwwww.  Also, cleaning bathrooms is so not fun.

    • tamara ingold

Unloading the dishwasher…it seems to take three times as long to unload as to load it in the first place! I need a Jetson’s style kitchen :)

    • Amber

Folding clothes or hanging them up! Feels likes it takes forever!

    • Bharrington Ncc

Sweeping the floors! We thought wood floors were a great idea…not so much. We are constantly sweeping them and just when you think you are done, there’s more dust! We even tried vacuuming them, but that still doesn’t get all the dust up. Happy sweeping, NOT!

    • Jami

Getting all of our laundry done, three kids, plus a hubby, full time job, and full time student, don’t leave a lot of time for all the laundry that piles up. The worst part is that we are both in law enforcement and our uniforms have to be pressed perfectly. On top of all that my 7 yr old iron passed away last week, well actually melted a hole in one of my uniform shirts so he had to be put down. So this week without a iron has been quite interesting and only made me hate laundry more!!

    • colleen

you know, i used to hate ironing, but my husband likes ironed shirts so much that I started thinking of it as a way I could show love instead of complaining about it.  still, a new iron would be a huge blessing!  i’m constantly cleaning the starch off the old one so as not to stain his shirts.

    • Alys Paravicini

folding and putting up the clean clothes

    • Carolinagirl843

I’m responsible for ironing all the clothes in the house. One of my least favorite chores. I good for getting them in the washer and dryer and after that the dreadful feeling beings. For starters, the iron we use drips water after you fill it up and needs to be cleaned often or else it drips rusty color water all over our clothes and I’ve had new clothes ruined as a result. I use steam constantly when ironing so I thought it was great that you mentioned the Durathon Electric Control Iron steams continuously. This seems like a great iron from what you’ve described and I’d really appreciate having one. Thanks Jenny for all the information you provide :)

    • Kay U.

Vacuuming needs to be easier.  I do not like pulling that heavy thing around!

    • Khamiltonrn

Cleaning the bathtub and shower should be made easier! I have to get inside the tub or shower to do it!

    • Adriana

I would say folding clothes…but if you count helping with homework…specially when it’s obvious a “parent” project…for real I do not need extra credit…leave that for the kiddos.

    • Shanz105

Deffinately LAUNDREY!!! Its no problem washing and drying, its the folding hanging ironing and putting away thats a chore! And to top it off, ITS NEVER DONE, its constantly regenerates! LOL

I wish cleaning bathtub/shower were a little easier.  By the way, I’m not much on ironing either…I just throw the wrinkled pieces in the dryer.

    • Tes7105

I am with you on the ironing lady!  When I was first married I woke up every morning to iron one of my husband’s dress shirts for work.  Let’s just say ironing that early did not bring out the best in me.  We now practice the “your body heat will help the wrinkles fall out” rule.  I am also a regular user of Downy’s Wrinkle Release spray, it is the bomb!  I now iron less frequently, but might consider revisiting the practice with a sweet new iron that is not from 1985.  I will say that modern technology has made me a believer and a much more pleasant housewife!  I actually enjoy vacuuming, doing the dishes, laundry, etc. with the proper tools!  Maybe with this new iron my family can leave the house well pressed and crisp, instead of wrinkled and wet with Downy!

    • Katiea813

I hate to fold and put away laundry……but I love to iron it!

I have to iron all of my husbands uniforms and I iron my work clothes so I do ironing daily. I would love a new iron, mine is about 10 years old, but cant really spend the money on a new one, so winning a new one would make my life easier!

Not trying to get brownie points, but ironing is my least favorite too.  Just when you think you’re done with the laundry…clothes are out of the dryer…then BAM, it’s time to iron.  Calgon take me away!

    • Judy Sizemore

Ditto on the floors. I vacuum or wipe up the dust and dog hair, then have to go back over all of it with the wet mop. Not my favorite job.

    • Maria

I wish doing laundry were easier…it never seems to end :)

    • April V

      Mopping!! :/

    • Jessica Enlow

Washing dishes! I do NOT like to wash dishes! We live in an older home and we have not renovated the kitchen yet. No reno = no dishwasher.
I just saw the commercial for this iron last night and said to my husband “Oooh! Oooh! I want one of those! Look at the bottom!”  He wasn’t as impressed as I was!

      laundry and dishes…LOL

It seems like the laundry never ends! We don’t even have kids yet. I can wash and dry all day long, but the folding, ironing, putting away – such a chore.

    • Chuchubi

i like to iron….sense of accomplishment i guess

    • Jessica

I absolutely hate ironing… my Iron was given to me from my grandmother and I think it’s from the 70’s or at least the 80’s…. maybe with this new one, I wouldnt hate it so much

    • Pollard1184

I hate any household chore but iron is probably my biggest annoyance.

    • Leann

Laundry! We have three kids, the two older ones play sports, so the laundry pile never ends!!!!!!!

    • Courtneyjoella

My husband thinks we have a Laundry Fairy that magically puts his socks and underwear in his drawers.

    • Mary-Kate

I wish doing laundry was easier! I have three babies – a 2-year-old, an 11-month-old, and a husband…sometimes I feel like my hamper has been replaced with Mary Poppins’ magic bag.

    • Ctomblin

laundry – with 4 kids I do a load a day, but I’d love to have a new iron since I’m currently using the dryer instead of one.

    • Thebeadhive

      Definitely ironing–I hate it.

    • Carol

It’s too bad I only have to pick one since there are so many good choices of chores that could be easier. I think I would have to pick sweeping and vacuuming the floors as my least favorite, since the dog hair never seems to disappear.

    • Julie

Putting things away.  I don’t mind stocking the dishwasher or the clotheswasher, but putting it all away when its dry is sooo tedious!

    • NJAliciaZ

IRONING!  My husband loves to have ALL of his clothes ironed.  We’re on our 3rd iron in 11 years of marriage.

    • amber2433

Washing dishes! I hate washing those big pots and pans that won’t fit in the dishwasher. The ones you have to let soak, then scrub, then wash again…all the while getting a good old backache!

Folding Laundry.  It’s really not a hard chore to do, but I’d rather do other things.

    • Anonymous

I hate picking up all of my roommates’ stuff. They won’t do it, so I do it. Whether its doing their dishes, picking up their stuff or even folding their laundry, if I don’t do it, it won’t get done.

    • Jodi

Hands down – folding laundry – it piles up and get wrinkled before I can get to it.

    • Mel

Ironing… I hate to Iron, but If I won this maybe it wouldn’t be so bad :)

    • Amy L.

Clothes period – all of the washing, drying, folding, matching socks, ironing things that got wrinkled waiting to come out of the dryer .. ugh!

    • Ashley Carter

I personally don’t iron either. I just throw it in the dryer. However, the chore I hate the worst is putting away clothes after I cleaned them. I can wash, dry and fold all day but I HATE putting them away.

    • Jennifer

Dishes, dishes, and more dishes!  But I just don’t have space for a dishwasher, so all I can say is Thanks Goodness for Dawn! (especially FREE Dawn, hehe)

Folding and putting away clothes.  It seems I always have a mountain of clean clothes.

I have a drop door in my closet to drop the clothes down to the basement to wash.  And you know what they say, out of sight, out of mind! So the chore I would say I hate the most is after finally doing the laundry for 6 kids and a husband, is having to carry it all up stairs!

    • Muronatalia

I hate doing the tub and shower, it is very complicated and time consuming not to mention I usually get bleach all over my clothes so this is why I alwalys have to wear an old outfit when I am going to scrub it down.

    • Onenonly29172

Id say ironing since I rarely do it …but dread it when its in need. Now with arthritis…its even harder but yrs ago when I was younger I loved doing it.

Cleaning the house.  I absolutely despise (did I spell that right?!) cleaning….but just the bathrooms.

    • Chevygurrl2004

Putting away Laundry…  sorting, washing, drying, I could do all day long… but folding it all… lugging it all up the stairs and putting it all away – UGH!! lol

    • Neena

Folding and putting laundry away.  I can wash load after load, but the clean clothes just pile up and never seem to be put away in a timely fashion. I wish I had a folding elf!

    • Canders276

Folding & putting up laundry. If I could, I would leave it in the basket until I needed it. I rarely iron, just toss in dryer for a few mins… less wrinkles.

Ironing is my least favorite chore.  Having a new iron would make this chore easier for me.

    • Cloversmed

I would like the ironing to be easier and a new iron would be great to help

    • Teach_ashlee

Cleaning the bathroom.  Hate it!  It has to get pretty dirty for me to break down and do it.

    • Harrington Lori A

Ironing is the one chore I dread, so if it could be made easier I would love it!

    • C E Phipps

Defiantly wish i could magically have folded laundry after its done in the dryer

    • Christine S.

I hate trying to organize my clothes; even though I don’t have that big of a wardrobe, I can never seem to find a logical way to store them so that I know where things are.  Not to mention how socks’ matches seem to magically disappear…

    • Jwynelle

Of course my ironing chore would be a lot easier if I had a nice iron to keep up with all my ironing for the family.

    • Lovetoteachabc

I do wish that ironing could be made easier. I really don’t like ironing. If there was an iron that was designed to do ironing faster, I would love it.

    • Brownjenifer

I really, really hate to iron. Luckily, my husband is very good at it!

    • Ngking15

This entry is for my husband, who also does all the ironing and would love an iron that might make the job easier :)

    • Anonymous

I am terrible at ironing, so anything to make it easier would be wonderful!

    • Tiffany101925

EVERYTHING! lol but laundry and ironing would be great!

    • Rona

I would have to say ironing when you have a big family to iron for, for 6 days a week.. I dont iron for Saturday, its our lazy day, lol.  To top it all off my iron only works half of the time , im not sure how old it is but its half dead, lol, you have to wiggle the cord to get it to work, so a new iron would be GREAT!!

    • Pocohontaswhite

I would like the bathrooms to be easier

    • Charlotte

Ironing is my worse chore…okay, make that second worse, cleaning the shower grout is the worst.

    • LJC

Shuttling the loundry load from the washer to the dryer…wish someone would would invent some kind of automatic shoot to get the wet clothes to the dryer and signal the dryer to start!!:) Would love to give this iorn to my mom for Christmas! She has txted me 4 times in the last two weeks to drive to her house and check to make sure the iorn is off!!

    • busymama

I hate dusting.  It’s so annoying because I’m so busy everyday that I don’t have time to move little things around and dust everything.  I’m at the point where I want to put up all picture frames, souvenirs, awards, etc so I don’t have to move them to dust and also dust them as well.  It has been so long since I’ve done a good dusting that I just tell guest to please ignore the dust. When I get embarrassed by it, then I do it.  Did I also mention I am allergic to dust?  So that means I itch non-stop when doing the chore I absolutely loathe.

    • I’m no fan of dusting–plus, it makes me sneeze!  I put it off as long as I can, which makes me sneeze more because I haven’t dusted…it’s a vicious cycle.

    • Erika

I don’t enjoy dusting at all either! You watch the dust falling down on the item that you just finished dusting and wonder, “Why did I dust that again?!”  lol

    • back2thetable

All the dog hair furballs that  tend to have parties in the corner’s of our rooms!

    • Grandmasaves2

Honestly DUSTING!  The more I dust, the more dust seems to appear!

    • Dimitracopeland

I wish washing the floor was easier.  I don’t like mops so I wash it on my hands and knees. :(

    • Melanie

The chore I wish could be made easier, or maybe faster, is actually ironing.  It’s not that I hate it, I don’t, but I iron daily .  I’m one of those people who can’t stand wrinkles so I iron whatever we (my family of four) are wearing that day.  Even if we aren’t going anywhere.  Weird, I know.  ;)

    • Leah

Definatly Ironing! My iron is old and cheap and makes it hard but with kids one of which has special needs there is lots of ironing to do!!

    • Crystal K.

Laundry. Especially since our laundry room is upstairs.

    • Stella02
