My big kid (a.k.a. husband) is a lego fanatic.  He gets sets (Grand Emporium and backhoe to name a very few) and after following directions, he then disassembles them and creates other cool toys (trains, ferrari, etc).  He has been building with legos for over 30 years (1st set was a truck).  He is so excited that he can now build/play with legos with our 2 daughters.  He is already getting sets (city edition) so they can have a cool train & village set.  Did I mention they weren’t even 1 yet.  One is already eyeing the cool sets & playing with the duplo blocks.  Making tall buildings, doctors office and houses.  I love that it helps her with her motor skills and creativity!!…It would be awesome to get the $100!! Lego’s is the only thing on my 9 yr old sons Christmas list!!

    405. It’s hard to choose.  There are 2 that stick out to me.  One was a football game, complete with stands and fans, football field with players playing the game, coach, refs and a mascot.  The second was a parade with various floats (on wheels) and parade watchers with kids on parent’s shoulders and everything.  It’s crazy how creative they get with Legos!

    406. LPM says:

As I type, my son is cleaning up the Lego covered floor of his room. Lego’s have been our “Must Have” for birthdays and Christmas for years now. Though I do admit the little pieces everywhere can be problematic at times…the creativity that comes from both my daughter and son always amazes me. My son is always developing and redesigning…Bionicles with impressive functional and moving features; customizing mini-figures of his own to be the Terminator or characters from the game Portal; brother and sister will collaborate on cities, space ships and more. The neighbors also join in on the building. The possibilities are endless with Lego’s!

Gotta go get my guy back on task with “cleaning” the Lego’s…sounds like he’s stopped picking up because he’s thought of something cool to build. :)Merry Christmas!

    407. Dstone41571 says:
