Heads up Netflix users! Netflix announced that prices will be going up for all streaming services “within the next few months.” The price increase affects all existing subscribers and all new customers.

Price Increases:

-Basic: $8.99 per month (was $7.99)
-Standard: $12.99 per month (was $10.99)
-Premium: $15.99 per month (was $12.99)

The price increase is around 12 to 13% and will reportedly allow Netflix the ability to invest in new shows, talent and improve user experience.

My personal opinion… paying for Amazon prime yearly is like paying $13 a month. So, Netflix is going for the same price but without free 2-day shipping, books, music and so much more.  I’m not saying I’m going to cancel when the price changes, but the higher the price goes the more you need to think about how many streaming providers you are paying for!
