queso dip recipe with chips

If you’re looking to get your football party started, queso dip is always something that will help. This recipe is super easy and only requires two ingredients!

Look at your store in the refrigerated section for white (or regular) American cheese slices (the processed cheese just melts so much better). I used a combination of both for this recipe. Melt in a double boiler with some green chiles and you’re ready to go!

A couple of notes:
-If you don’t have a double boiler, you can place a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan of simmering water to the get same effect.
-You can add a bit of water or milk to your queso to make it thinner, if desired.

Quick & Easy Queso Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 packages American cheese slices, about 24 oz (white, orange, or pepper jack)
  • 1 can chopped green chiles, 4.5 oz

Directions

  1. Set a double boiler over medium-low heat (the bottom pan should have about an inch of water in it). Bring the water in the bottom pan to a low simmer.
  2. Add the cheese slices and chiles to the top pan. Cover and stir occasionally until completely melted.
