The Target Baby Registry Welcome Bag was pretty easy to receive, although it didn’t include as much as some of the other welcome boxes. Still it’s free, and easy to get, so it’s was worth signing up for. I’m excited to share everything that was inside!
Everything in the Target Baby Registry Welcome Bag
The first step to receiving your welcome bag is to go to Target.com and go to the baby registry section. If you don’t already have a Target account, you’ll have to create one. Once you enter in all the relevant information to create your registry, you’ll be taken to the main registry page. Scroll down and you’ll see this:
Unlike the other boxes I’ve received so far, I had to actually go to the store to get my Target Baby Registry Welcome Bag. That wasn’t such a big deal, because I’m at Target at least once a week. What was annoying about the process was that in order to get to the barcode, you have to go to the Target website in your phone web browser and then get to the registry part. It’s very clunky, and it left me wondering why there isn’t a connection to the registry within the Target app (which I use every time I go to Target).
It took a few weeks after signing up before I remembered to pick it up at the store while I was there. I went to guest services and asked about it, and the woman at the counter had no idea what I was talking about. The website does say that the welcome bag is subject to store availability, so at first I wondered if maybe the store just didn’t carry them at all. Thankfully, though, she called another store associate, who came to the counter and immediately pulled a bag out from under the counter. She scanned the barcode on my phone and then scanned the bag, and I was good to go.
