I went up to visit my newly wed daughter today, so no new Q&A tonight.
As we get into the swing of a new year though it’s a great time to cover all the basics! These videos are a great way to make sure you have the key parts of how to save on groceries, how to shop the drugstore deals and getting your budget under control.
I’ll be back next week with a Live Q&A.
Cutting Your Grocery Budget: The Basics
I’m going to step on some toes… but you will save the most money shopping in a real grocery store. Following sales, stocking up when things are on sale, and even using a coupon or two is still the way to go to keep your grocery costs as low as possible.
I know this is a hot topic for my Aldi and Walmart fans but this is my take… “Everyday low prices” really means nothing is on sale, but you can buy it if you want to.
Top Money Saving Mobile Apps
So much of couponing these days is using your phone and knowing what mobile apps to submit receipts too. Here’s my favorites plus how to use them!

I love any good excuse to do a craft, and so do my kids. Valentine’s Day brings a great opportunity to bring out the craft supplies and make some fun things. I’ve shared some DIY Valentine crafts before, but I’ve found 10 new ideas for this year. Some of these are possible for little ones to do mostly by themselves, but you may need to help with some of them. These 10 easy Valentine’s Day crafts for kids would be a great activity to use as gifts or to decorate at home. Many of them will also keep so you can display them again next year!
