If you ask a woman what she wants for Christmas she will probably say she has no idea. If you ask a woman what she would buy if you gave her $100 and told her she had to buy things for herself, this is what she’d want based on Southern Saver reader responses on Facebook. Thanks to those responses, I bring to you the top 10 gifts to give her this Christmas.

Many of these ideas will also work great for grandmothers, aunts, and teachers too.

Gift Ideas for Her

Sleep

Whether you book her a hotel room or take all the kids off for the night and morning, let her sleep. Everyone enjoys life more when they are rested and we all know most moms aren’t. Booking a hotel room? Go ahead and ask for a late check-out.

Instapot

Make dinner a little easier. An Instapot is like a Slow Cooker that works quickly. Throw in frozen meat and you’ll have a delicious dinner in no time.

A Package of Cozy

If you a book worm is on your list, get her everything she needs to relax and enjoy a great book. Grab a book, some cozy lounge pants, and a nice mug.
Clothes

So often women put themselves on the back burner. They buy things for their husband, their kids, the dog, the next door neighbor before they treat themselves. It is hard to find things that someone else will like (and will fit correctly) so it may be best to go shopping with her to find things. Just do not let her buy anything that isn’t for her and get a sitter for the kids. She will love it.

Spa Day

Whether it be a hair cut, mani/pedi, or massage, you can treat her to a special day! This gives her time to relax and do something for just her. Check Groupon for deals!

Craft Supplies

What craft does she love? Giver her fabric, vinyl, transfer tape, etc. Whatever she needs to do her favorite thing.

Family Photos

Bribe the kids with whatever it takes it takes to get some amazing family photos. Hire a pro or a friend who takes great pictures depending on your budget and help her get everyone dressed, fed, and happy. This is a gift everyone will enjoy for years even if you don’t enjoy all the work it takes to get those pictures.

Make-Up or Skincare

If you know of a product she has been eyeing for a while, buy it for her! This could be a pricey make-up brand that she loves or skin care product. Note: if it’s a product she buys at the drugstore once a month anyway, she probably won’t be super excited to get it as gift. Think splurges that she wouldn’t normally buy. For me this would Roden & Fields eye cream.

Oil Portraits

So this option is not cheap but these oil portraits are so beautiful! You’ll end up with a gift that she will cherish for years. To save, you can get a portrait of the kiddos together instead of individuals or use a different artist.

A New Purse

Spruce up any outfit with a new purse! Note sure what she will like? Take note of the purses she already has… the colors, sizes, etc. and try to stick to those same themes. If she has all small purses, she probably prefers that size over large ones.
