Squash
While they do struggle with surviving pests, there’s nothing like squash from the garden, and they usually produce so much you’ll have to give some away.

Sometimes the mental load of planning meals can feel overwhelming. Every once in a while I like to give you a peek into the simple meals my family is eating. It truly is nothing fancy, and we do repeat meals. Even if you don’t follow my plan exactly, this weekly meal plan for April 21 through April 27 might just give you the inspiration you need to feed your family this week.
If some of the lunch or breakfast options don’t appeal to everyone in my family, they know that eggs and toast or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is always an option! We don’t eat many snacks, but if people are hungry between meals, I always have apples and bananas on hand.
