With the weather getting hot and the kids being out of school, I know you’re probably looking for something cool and entertaining. These fruity ice cubes are so fun and easy!
Simply blend whole fruit (or use juice), freeze, and top with your drink of choice in a glass (I poured some lemon-lime soda over my cubes). The drink will slowly melt the ice cubes, creating a flavorful and colorful punch in your glass.
Ingredients
- a handful of raspberries
- 1 kiwi
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- a handful of blueberries
Directions
- Blend each fruit separately in a blender until smooth. Add the pureed fruit to ice trays and freeze until solid.
- If you're using juices, simply pour the juice into the ice tray and freeze.
- Add whatever color combination of ice you'd like to a tall glass and top with your drink of choice (lemon-lime soda, apple juice, water, etc.).
- You can use any combination of fruits and/or juices to make the ice that you'd like. I used a silicone ice cube tray which made 16 cubes. Your yield will depend on the size of your tray.
