For the next 51 days (yep that’s how many days we have until Christmas) we are going to cover a DIY project a day. From baked goods & recipes to cute ornaments the kids can help make all the way to making your own tree skirts… in 51 days we should have covered something you can handle making. The goal, is to help us all save a little money and make the holidays more fun!
To start off our projects, I want to point you back to my favorite project we’ve done this year…
DIY Lip Balms
We did this for 300-400 women at Becoming this year, so I know you can handle making a few of these as an easy stocking stuffer or even thank you gifts for teachers.
First get creative with your containers. They are super cheap, so don’t panic.
You can grab 24 metal tins with clear or solid lids for $10-$13. Or go more traditional and get 50 Lip Gloss containers for $8.75. My favorite, though slightly more expensive, is slide tin boxes. Get 10 for $9.75 on etsy.
You can decorate any of these with custom stickers and labels. We used Avery circle labels and were able to print them on the computer. To make them super cute use PicMonkey, a free go-to for quick design projects.
Now that the outside is handled, we need the Lip Balm. Head over and see detailed instructions and pictures to guide you. It really is easy and something that you can knock out in an hour.
