I headed to Publix® last night to look for inspiration for a recipe that would be perfect for a Mother’s Day breakfast in bed. But how can we spruce them up a little bit?”. I decided to throw in a few fresh blueberries, some brown sugar and butter and turn them into MUFFIN BARS.

Not only could I picture these treats sitting next to a few sausage links, a scrambled egg, and a glass of OJ while sitting in bed being celebrated on Mother’s Day, but these would also be great for normal mornings. They are quick, easy, and only require a few ingredients.

Blueberry Muffin Bars

Ingredients

1 package Betty Crocker® blueberry muffin mix, 6.5 oz
1/2 cup water
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
6 tbsp packed brown sugar
2 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an 8×8 baking pan.
