Have you made any wreaths yet in preparation for the Christmas season? This time last year I went into Hobby Lobby to buy a wreath form and they were completely sold out. I hope you bought yours in advance and aren’t running into the same problem I did. I did some Pinterest searching and found some beautiful DIY wreaths that I wanted to share with you. Many of them will even look good after Christmas!
Tie a mix of fallen and fresh magnolia leafs at the stem with florist wire and then attach them to a wire wreath form. Make it as full or as green as you’d like!
Use a small bowl as a guide for the center of your cinnamon stick wreath. Use a hot glue gun to glue and layer the cinnamon sticks on top of one another until you get your desired look. Tie a bow to the top and you have a beautiful wreath!
There are plenty of coffee filter wreath tutorials online, but a lot of it is trial and error. This is one my friend made last year out of brown coffee filters she found at the grocery store. This wreath is a little tighter than some of the other ones online and looks kind of like a piece of coral.
Get a wreath form from the craft store (this one was the hay/plastic form) and just start gluing the filters on all of the form except the back. One tip is to use a pen to apply the filters. Lay the filter out flat, place the pen tip in the center of the filter and gather the edges of the filter around the pen and hold it in one hand. Put a spot of glue on the tip of the pen and push it onto the wreath form. To make it tight like this, attach the tip of the filter right next to one another on the form rather than spacing them out at all.
These adorably tiny wreaths are so cute and easy! All you need are rosemary, florist wire and twine. If you’re not into making place cards, I think these would also be cute if you attach a magnet to the top and put it on your refrigerator. You could also hang one over each of your cabinets for some festiveness in the kitchen.
Have you ever just shopped your yard for greenery? It’s one of my favorite things to do! Get a variety of sturdy greenery from around your yard and attach the bottom of the stem to a plain wreath form. You could also do a mixed herb wreath that’s just as beautiful and smells great.
What’s your go-to wreath look like?

I got a new 20% off coupon last night in my email. I know many folks email not knowing exactly how to use these coupons since they say on them “can’t be used on sale items”. While that does limit what the coupon is good for, there are still LOTS of items it does work on. You’ll notice too that when you print your coupon it’s good both this week and a few days into the new ad on Sunday. So here are two scenario ideas based on when you want to shop. Both come out to be FREE after coupons and ExtraCare Rewards!
If you aren’t getting CVS emails, head over here to get signed up. If all of this is greek to you, read up on CVS and watch my getting started video.
A few things on the coupon:
- You can only use it once.
- It applies to the price before manufacturer coupons.
- It can be used with ECB deals that are still full priced items (everything listed below).

Score an awesome photo deal on RiteAid.com now through 12/7. Get an 8×10 photo canvas for $10 when you use code CANVAS10S at checkout. You will even get FREE shipping if you choose to pick up at a local store.
I just made one and it took about 30 seconds total once I was logged in. So a tip to make it faster for you (15 seconds…) log in to your Rite Aid account (or create an account) first. Then head to the photo section from there. It won’t let you use a promo code without being logged in.
Heads up: it does state that my item will be ready in 13-17 days, at least it’s before Christmas. I didn’t even have to pay for it, but will pay when I pick it up in the store.
