Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutting Tool

This is definitely a pricey gift, but your crafter will get a lot of use out of it.  Our family actually has a different Silhouette machine and we use it a lot for homeschooling, labels and other random projects.  It can cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric, and other materials into intricate projects.  When the blade is replaced with a pen, it will sketch instead of cut.

If your glue gun looks anything like mine, it’s time to upgrade to a new glue gun.  The Surebonder is a great option.  It heats quickly, is easy to grip and has a comfortable trigger, and it has a removable stand.  Make sure you buy the right size glue sticks.  Trust me, it’s not fun to chop up your glue sticks to make them fit.

Olfa Deluxe Rotary Cutter

I feel like I was in the dark for so long and then I found the light of a rotary cutter.  These slice through fabric like butter.  These are perfect for quilting or just cutting regular fabric.  Some more trendy projects I like using a rotary cutter for are bunting and tassels.

Xacto Knife Set & Craft Mat

I’m going to go ahead and count these as the same gift, because you can’t have one without the other.  $25 for both of these is still a pretty great deal.  If the Silhouette Cameo was too much of an investment, this is a great alternative.  The mat can even be used with your rotary cutter craft projects.  Take a look at some creative Xacto projects.

Power Drill

This gift and the next gift are for the industrial crafters or the ones who like to redo furniture.  A drill can come in handy and it’s nice to have your own rather than have to go on the search for your husband’s every time.  A basic drill should do for any of the crafter’s jobs.
