With summer coming and our schedule changing, I’ve been gravitating toward making really simple meal plans for the coming week. However, we still have things going on, and I find that a meal plan is only helpful if it actually takes our schedule into account! After many weeks of doing this, I realized I kind of was making my own template on a sheet of paper each week. I decided to spend a few minutes making it into something I could save and print copies of, and now I’m going to share this simple meal planning worksheet with you!
Southern Savers Simple Meal Planning Worksheet (Free Printable!)
The idea behind this worksheet is it is totally flexible as to which day you want to start. The little circle with the line is for you to write the day of the week as well as the date — or just one of them. Fill it in for each week, regardless of which day you’re meal planning.

The star at the bottom of each day is the place to write special events or other things you need to take into account. Maybe you have a sports practice in the afternoon, or a night meeting at church, or a doctor’s appointment first thing in the morning. Any and all of those things might affect what you make for dinner. On the far right is a place to start making your list. Go through each day and jot down any ingredients you’ll need to grab at the store.
Another idea is to laminate this and hang it on your fridge with a magnet. Use a wet erase marker to write on it each week and then just wipe clean to erase.
