This has been a fun and different year for couponing. Thanks to a new not-reality TV show, we saw new coupon policies from a number of stores.

              New Publix Coupon Policy

New Bi-Lo Coupon Policy (the best changes we saw)

Updated Harris Teeter coupon Policy (great changes)

Official CVS Coupon Policy (first ever)

Official Walgreens Policy (another first ever!)

Rite Aid Policy Changes (the worst changes we saw)

While the policy changes made some of us feel like saving money was harder, we also saw new ways to save this year With Saving Star eCoupons or stores like Piggly Wiggly & Harveys making more stores double coupons!

I also spent a while this year also trying to break some of the myths about grocery shopping. To save the most money, you really want to be in a grocery store…

Does Buying in Bulk Save Money: Sam’s Club vs. Regular Store Prices

In summing up the year,  I would also have to say it was the year of daily deal sites. Groupon started big in 2010, but this year we saw over 80 other daily deal sites grow.  One Kings Lane, BelleChic, Fab.com, Zulily, Rue La La, Hautelook, and Living Social have become regular stops for me.

              Enough of 2011…

If you are just deciding to turn over a new leaf and start saving money in 2012, then check out some of the top educational posts from 2011. They are a great place to start.
