An interesting way to support our troops is with our expired coupons. They are able to use US coupons up to 6 months after expiration dates at their commissaries if they are stationed abroad. We have decided to adopt a base in Gaeta Italy to mail our coupons too. As you clean out your coupon folder you can either mail them yourself or I will gladly mail them for you if you would like to just pay US postage rates and mail them to me.

Tips:
- Clip all coupons – it decreases mailing weight to only mail the coupons
- Sort coupons into two bundles: Food and Non Food (what can be eaten by Humans and what cannot)
I want you to consider your new grocery savings as a new way to help others. Just because you might not need an item that is free or just pennies doesn’t mean you should just keep going and not get it. Remember all the free baby food currently at Food Lion and Publix? I know your kids might be 6 or grown for that matter, but think of the food banks in your local city or the family down the street even. Start a box in your pantry to give away and when it gets full take it to the food bank or ask friends if they need things. Don’t forget to throw in items that you don’t need but where free at CVS too. There are shelters that would love all the free toothpaste, femine products, shampoo etc.
There is also a way to help others just with all the expired coupons you don’t use… I’ll post more on that later today.

I have put a link to a great new coupon book up at the top. It comes through the mail so you have to wait a little bit, but they are great deals, like a coupon for a free Cascade rinse aid. I actually got to use some of mine today at CVS on the Febreze Deal and getting Dawn dishsoap making even more money off the deal than I thought!! After you sign up it takes about 4-6 weeks but they are good until November so you have planty of time to use them.
We are away at the beach this week and have no access to a paper with Food Lion sales in it, nor do I have any more time to not be at the beach to figure out the deals using the online weekly flyer. There will be Food Lion deals again next week, sorry for any frustration.

New Proctor & Gamble E coupons are up now. They are good from July 1 – Aug 20th. Go here to sign in and load them. Some bad news though, it appears that Unilever will not be continuing the e coupons that they offered last month. We’ll see if the website changes but right now it says that the program is over.
Shortcuts coupons expire at various times and they also put new coupons up throughout the month so it is a good idea to always check there when planning your kroger trip.
