Update: This is sold out.
Tanga has been having some great sales on big technology brands recently…and these products are selling out FAST.
Tonight they are running a deal on the Roku 2. Get a Roku 2 HD Entertainment Streaming Device for $39.99 + $4.99 shipping. These are regularly $59-$69 so that’s a nice break on a new gadget.
If you aren’t familiar with this wonderful little box let me tell you about it. My husband found a deal on the original Roku last year and had it set up in 5 minutes, you plug it into your TV and it connects your TV to your wireless network allowing you to stream almost anything in the world! We watch Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, FoodTV, ESPN and so much more. The fun part after you get the box you pay nothing for the channels (except Netflix). We don’t have cable, but with this little guy hooked to the TV I don’t think my husband has ever felt deprived!!
This is one giveaway that I should make my husband write. Ever since I met him he has always wanted more musical instruments. I think right now we have at least 3 guitars, 1 banjo, 1 mandolin and I don’t know what else in our house. Sadly for me I can’t play any of them!! It’s always been on my bucket list though to learn to play something.
So that my girls don’t end up like me, we’ve been working on getting instruments in their hands, right now tin whistles are about all I can stand though. No matter what instrument or skill level, instruments can get really expensive.
Musician’s Friend is a great resource for lots of music needs. They have everything from guitars and amps to trumpets and flutes (and all the accessories you could ever need). They do sell high end, big names, but they also have great instruments for those that are just learning. I think over half of the instruments in my house have come from Musician’s Friend.
They also have a great deal going on right now and I know you all love that:
In honor of Labor Day, they are offering FREE shipping and savings of up to $100 ($10 off $150, $25 off $250 or $100 off $600+). If you order online, the discount will automatically be added to your order through 2:59 am EST Monday, September 5. If you call and order over the phone, mention code LABOR11 for the discount until 1:59 am EST.
They also have a lot of deals just for back-to-school, perfect if your 7th grader just cam home with a passion for playing tuba!
What makes it better is you can also go through ShopatHome.com for an additional 6% cash back.
(I just found junior guitars for $99 that my girls would love!!)

With the kids back to their home-school curriculum, our weekdays can get pretty hectic. Sometimes that means convenience foods during the day and I don’t always have a ton of points left for dinner.
