Pottery Barn Samantha Bench Look Alike - Southern Savers

I’m envisioning this bench inside my front door as a place to put our family’s shoes, books, or whatever they walk in the house with.  You can add some coat hooks above it and make it a one stop shop.  I went on the hunt to find a less expensive version and I found it at Target!

Pottery Barn Samantha Bench Look Alike 43% off - Southern Savers

Samantha Entryway Bench: $399 (FREE Shipping)

This bench comes in 4 different washes and you can buy baskets separately to fit in the cubbies.  You can also buy the cushion on top separately if you want a little extra padding for the folks who will be resting on this bench.  The cushion to top your bench starts at $99.  All in all, that makes it $498…

Threshold Open Storage Bench:  $169.99 ($30 Shipping or FREE with REDcard)

The shipping on this Threshold bench was pretty steep compared to the free shipping deal running at Pottery Barn.  Shipping ended up being around $30 for me, but it’s FREE if you use your REDcard.  This bench comes in 4 finishes and even has a cushion included for the seat.

Very nice find – good work. I like it very much and it would be perfect for us.

there’s a martha stewart one at home depot that’s even less – http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/202040744#.Ujzqej-IIzc

I actually much prefer the overall look and lines of the legs of the Target version. They also offer a Closetmaid option at Target.com, though of course it’s not as sturdy or as good quality as their Threshold line….but here’s a link in case anyone wants to check it out. http://www.target.com/p/closetmaid-3-cube-bench-espresso/-/A-13217124#prodSlot=medium_1_1

My concern is the quality difference. Any furniture that I have ever purchased at Target has never lasted. Therefore, costing me more money in the end.
