Restoration Hardware Surveyor's Tripod Floor Lamp Look Alike

I’ve been seeing surveyor lamps pop up as a trend a lot recently.  I love the rustic feel that they offer and they lend themselves as a statement piece even in the corner of a room.  Here are two options that I’ve found.

Expensive:

Restoration Hardware Surveyor’s Tripod Floor Lamp ($1,424 Shipped)

With the more expensive version, you’re paying for the details in this lamp.  It has more knobs and thoughtful design than the frugal version.

Frugal:

JC Penny Surveyor Floor Lamp ($170 Shipped)

The frugal option looks more contemporary, but you could easily add some inexpensive details to make it resemble the Restoration Hardware version a little more.
