I had 4 of the Cover Girl coupons today and it was a little bit of a hassle to use them….it is a shame you have to explain to management that they are still getting their money, its just from cover girl instead of me…jeez is that to hard to understand??? Anyway, my whole plan ended up getting foiled because I had to ring each coupon up on a separate order which means I couldn’t use my 5 off $25 coupon…but all is well…I got a bunch of free makeup (only paid tax) so thanks Jenny for posting the scenario…I might not of thought of it!

Here’s what I did. I had a bunch of those Foundation coupons too, but I only had 2 of the $1 CG coupons, so here’s my scenario with CG:

      1, BOGO CG (Foundation) coupon
      1, BOGO Rite Aid deal
2, $1 any CG product coupons

The trick here is to buy a foundation that is cheaper than your 2nd product since Walgreens will give you the CHEAPER product for free.

So, you buy a $5.99 foundation, then you buy another CG product that is more expensive.

(For me, I bought the $8.19 pressed powder. I would never pay that much for powder, but since it’s free, what the heck! Right?)

That means Rite Aid will give you the FOUNDATION for free.

THEN, your CG coupon says that you get your SECOND CG item free, so that means the POWDER is free.

Does that make sense? Rite Aid gives you the foundation for free, and GC gives you the powder for free.

THEN….to top it all off, you have 2, $1 coupons. So, they will actually PAY you $2 to take them out of the store! ;) LOL….

What I did was hand them the two CG products, and I like to talk to the women as I’m checking out, so I said, “Okay, now one of these is free, right? Let’s see if it rings up right.”

So, it did….then, I gave them the 2, $1 coupons…”Okay, here are two coupons for those 2 items.” Check, check.

Next, I gave them the foundation coupon….”Okay, this coupon should give me the powder for free since I just bought the foundation.”

Check. It all worked! :) Sometimes, you have to be really nice to the cashiers and be on THEIR side and walk them through it as you go.

I also got 2 Axe shampoos and an Oral B toothbrush. I didn’t realize there was a $1 toothpaste coupon or I might have done that instead. But, I do have a humongous stockpile of toothpaste, and only 2 toothbrushes….LOL….

I did the Orajel deal just in case we ever need it…and I didn’t know about the other two deals…

But, for the record…I had a total of $32 worth of products MINUS $17 in coupons MINUS SCR of $15!!! Total OOP = $.72
