Have you ever given someone a thrifted gift for the holidays?  In my opinion, many times it’s a more thoughtful gift than many things folks give.  Just make sure you know the do’s and don’t’s of thrifting for gifts before you wrap it for Christmas day.

I talked to Thrifter and DIY blogger The Nester from TheNester.com to get her take and tips of thrifting for gifts.  She had some great tips and pointers to help us save on our gifts this year.  Tune into this weeks Podcast to hear what you should snatch up and what to avoid on a limited budget.

Also, can we just have a link to the article about thrifting and not just a link to the website. I’ms sure there’ lot of good tips there, but I don’t want to read through the entire site to get to that one article. There is a search tool, which came up with several results for thrifting. Not sure which one we’re supposed to read.

To answer the question, yes, as long as it was something gently used or that I could fix up and I never tried to pass it off as new. Obviously, if it is a vintage item, used is about the only way to go so it doesn’t really matter if you got the item at Goodwill, eBay, or Etsy.
