Top Grocery Deals 4/29-5/5

With so many stores on Southern Savers now, it gets a little hard to remember where the great deals were.  I have decided to change the weekly free line up to be two different posts.  On Sunday, I will highlight the drugstores, and on Wednesday the grocery stores.  There is also going to be two parts to the grocery highlights.  This post of the top deals, and then another post to help with “Gotta have it, where’s the best price?” issues.

    • Shannon

Thanks for all that you do!!! I’m super jealous that I don’t have a Harris Teeter anymore!!

    • Seriously awesome – so helpful. Thank you!

    • jessica

Thank you so much, Jenny! This is GREAT!!! Having it in this format tells me exactly what to get for the cheapest grocery bill if I don’t have a lot of time to plan out a big trip. Thanks again for all you do!

    • These Mahatma deals- what size are we talking about? I have some of the $.50/1 coupons, but this can’t make the large bags free, what size am I looking for?

    • Reagab

I wish i lived near a harris tweeter. I am in california but i love the site for the info on kroger, walgreens, cvs and rite aid. Thank you!!

    • Shirley

Just bought the Land of Lakes half & half. I don’t know if it is a regional price difference or not but in Fayetteville,NC it was $3.59 for the quart which is what the Q is for. After triple Q, price was $1.34

    • Beth

LOVE this new feature! Keep up the great ideas and always giving us something new!

    • Heather

I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! For posting all of these great deals. Thanks to you I got a ton of stuff at HT today for $3.47, and after my rebate for my Reynolds wrap it will only be 18 cent oop!!! I will add that my HT takes Walgreen’s RRs at competitor coupons, I didn’t use a lot of them, I didn’t have to because of your awesome deals!!!

    • Jenn

I love this format!! I always try to get the cheapest priced items for our stash. When you are a one-income family of 7, you have to, lol!!!

    • I just got back from Harris Teeter in Brentwood. There were some price variations..like the Half and Half was 2.50, but with the triple coupon it was still only 25 cents. They were out of several things but the manager on duty said they are restocking every night, so check back the next day. Very nice and coupon friendly. I am definitely going to try to go back tomorrow.

    • OOPs…forgot to tell you my total. Spent 15.38 and with coupons and store sales saved…56.04. 78% savings!!!! Woohooo~~

    • Lindsey

      I love this post idea.
      Thanks very much!

Jenny: Just a quick question about your new format – I did not understand what you meant by the “got to have it,…” new section. Do you mean it will be a separate entry done by you or will it be in the comments section? Thanks for putting this all together.

By the way, must also thank you for helping me save 77% at Kroger the other day – using special bundle packages that were, in essence, BOGO AND they had a peelie on them for another free product. Using coupons from an instore booklet along with the above got my family and our church food pantry organic cereal and granola bars for $.50 per box. :)

I think this is a great idea!! I’ve become addicted to looking for coupons for everything. I’m just glad I’m saving us money!

I received a Winn-Dixie advertisement in the mail earlier this week, and it has a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $40 or more. (4/29-5/5). Yeah!

I love this site and am very thankful for all that you do!!
