If you are a fan of Vision Forum, then you’ll be thrilled to know they have already started their Black Friday sale!  Vision Forum has awesome toys and books for all ages.  We love their children’s books and audio series the most.

Our girls are strong readers but are only 7, and this is very tricky.  I need books wholesome chapter books to keep them reading and honestly most chapter books in normal bookstores have content I don’t want my 7 year old reading.

A few deals to highlight:

All-American Pop Gun – $6 (reg. $12)

Rappelling Harness – $19 (reg. $65)

They also have a lot of books and other toys on sale up to 50% off.

Today’s daily deal is also awesome.  Get the full Jonathan Park Adventure Collection radio drama series, all 40 hours, for $48 (reg $160).

What a fantastic deal-only $6 to teach my child all about guns! Really Jenny? Thanks southern savers but I think that is a sign that your website is not for me.

      • justathought

Then why don’t you take your self righteous butt to some other site. There aren’t anything wrong with toy guns. OMG…. She is just showing the deals not saying that you should teach your children to mame and slaughter. The gun would be the least of my worries it would be the self righteous judgmental attitude that you are spewing.

      • me

seriously…..that is your sign that this website is not for you…and it never crossed your mind that your ungrateful self entitled A** should create your own website…thataway you only have to like what you write and what you put in the comments…

      • Marie

Save the $6– you can teach them for FREE by demonstrating how you go to your drawer and defend their fragile life in the event your door gets kicked in one night. Yes, that’s reality. Start living in it, and put down the anti-gun Glamour/Cosmo rags!

    • Sally Smith

I don’t think anyone cares about deals on toy guys.

    • asdfsdf

Oh Christians are so funny about being ok about guns. I love the contradictions.

      • justathought

There are nothing wrong with guns whether Christian, Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, etc…. Only idiots that don’t know abuse them. We own guns in our home and are avid hunters.

        • justathought

Meant idiots that abuse them and don’t know how to properly use them

    • Tara

I think the pop gun is a great toy! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Chris

Pro or against guns, Vision Forum is probably not a place to be spending your money

some people have big balls i guess!!!!!!

    • Rebecca

Guns are like so many things, they can be used to protect or to harm. It is more about the person than the object. People who want to do harm will make a weapon out whatever resources they have.

Jenny, thanks for the great deals!

    • Renee

How perfect! We were looking for an old looking pop gun for my sister in laws baby shower ! Thanks so much!!

    • Renee

Oh…BTW…I had to do a whole research assignment in college about guns in society and we should be thankful, bottom line is, societies that outlaw guns for civilian use, are sitting ducks for people who obtain them for the wrong uses! Just some food for thought!

JP Thank you for the post. I have bought items from Vision Forum for years, and had missed the big sale day announcement.

((If some Southern Saver readers don’t like the VF products, that’s okay. They can ignore the post. We don’t like Barbie at our house, but I don’t trash talk Target just because the Sunday flyer lists Barbie items. Gracious!))

As I write, my daughters are listening to Jonathan Park. They LOVE it! It’s a great mix of science, storytelling, and adventure. When they have questions about the science, we exlpore those themes through research or craft projects. Crazy how much the whole family has learned.

I plan to buy some JP for 2013 birthdays.

      • Tara H

We only have the first Jonathan Park and would so love to get some more! Our boys love it!

Jenny, Check out books by Stephen Bly. He has passed away and some of his books are hard to find but they are worth the hunt. Also, make sure you are getting the ones written for kids. He wrote for moms as well but the kids won’t enjoy those as much. We loved the Nathan T Riggins series and the Lewis and Clark series. From dad all the way down, we all loved them!

    • Marie

I love seeing guns advertised– it means we aren’t so ridiculously PC that we confuse our heads with our bums. 2nd amendment and all that, see Gary Kleck. I also like the Vision Forum. And I LOVE SouthernSavers!
