      woo hoo for 2.99 diapers!

      • Stacy5060

Do you know the code for the $2 off from the infant book

        • Lfcastelow

Will they take just the code?

          • Mandy

It all really depends on your walgreens and how friendly your cashier is. I know at my walgreens they would just type in the code if you have it.  Speaking of codes does anyone have the one for the pamper's diapers?

Where do you get the Infant Care booklet in order to get this deal?

        • Liz

I am in MS, and our stores down here had no idea what it even was. My mom is in IL, and I asked her to look for it. She went in a couple weeks ago and they had just put out a huge stack of them. So, I guess it's all which store gets them and the availability.

      • Shavon

what is the deal on the diapers???

    • Thank you so much Jenny for all you do, it's alot of hard work and you make it look easy! Have a good weekend! :-)

    • Bpainter

I am so excited to find this site.  I am not new to couponing but ….trying to get bettr at it and this site really helps.  I love the couple day advance notice.  I found that I spent too much time “on the spot” getting the deals together and this really helps plan my time better.

    • Leneldore

Where do you get the booklet for the vitamins and I am not 100% but you can use store plus MQ, correct?

      • Jen

I found the vitamin booklet in the vitamin aisle a few weeks ago, not sure if there are any out still…  And yes you can use a store and manufacturer coupon together!

    • Nlj45231

My local WAGs in SW Ohio (I've been to 4-5) do not seem to carry the Bayer Advanced yet.  Are other people finding the item in their stores??

      • Ctcjsbag5

I have not found them at WalGreens but they are nearly free at Publix this week.  I used the $2.00 off in the Green Advantage Flyer and a $1.00 off coupon I had.

CVS has the deal on Huggies diapers this week until this new ad starts Sunday.  Look for the ad before this one for the details.   Bi-Lo also has Luvs diapers 5.99.  Check your coupons.  There are several for $1 off Luvs.

    • Joan 56

You know all this info is great, but does me no good when my local Walgreens (or CVS)  never has any of the stuff in stock, and they are rude to boot!!  I have just gotten sick and tired of trying to chase down these “bargains”.  Sorry, just had to vent.. :)  must be the heat!  I appreciate all your help!  thanks!!

      • Tamjwr

I totally agree.  I gave up on Walgreens weeks ago.  It gets so discouraging when every week the shelves have been cleaned out.  I give up!

        • Teecee

I gave up on trying to find the “free” stuff, but I've found that if I just choose things from the ads that I actually want to buy that I can still get them and usually save money too.

          • Melyssakissas

My local CVS will give rain checks for items they do not have in stock and that includes the ECBs

        • I've noticed at my Wags – the BEST time to actually coupon and get the deals is actually the Friday before the sale ends, they get their trucks on Thursday and have restocked a lot of the items!  Yesterday I went to Wags (I didn't have time the Sunday the sale started) and found every single item I went in for in the quantities I wanted.  Ask a nice manager when their trucks come in and try to plan your trip for the day after.  Also, it helps that I talked to the manager in charge of ordering about couponing and he's actively trying to make sure that he keeps up with coupon blogs (like this one) and their store sales to make sure there is plenty of stock.

Wow, Jenny, MIDNIGHT??? Thank you for all your hard work, it is appreciated! (I hope you got some good sleep after all this work!)

    • Carrieluvsgreg

Tried the Walgreen's thing this week… not too successfully, I might add.  I sure hope next week works better for me.  After several trips to the store to get the necessary products to get the Gillette deal, my $10.00 coupon did not print.  They couldn't tell me why, but the manager did give me $10.00 store credit, which was very nice, but it did not give me the opportunity to get more bounce back coupons… grr. Now I have $5.00 to start with next week instead of $15.00 darn.

      • @walgreens you have to buy all the items in one transaction to get the deal maybe that is why it didnt work for you I got the 10 and 5 back on mine.  Walgreens is very tricky for newbies..

      • Kynthia

I just left Wal-greens and I had the same problem with the Gillette deal.  They called the manager over and she tried several different things and the only scenario to work was to buy $30.00 worth of bodywash and deodorant in addition to the razors.  At that point I received both register rewards.

      • Renee

The same thing happened to me. All Gillette products were purchased in my last transaction which was over $30 and it only printed out $5 RR. The cashier didn't know why it did that. I didn't press the issue cause I had a HUGE line waiting on me. Oh well! Maybe next time.

        • Susan

my store said if you bought the razor even though it is in the picture you will only get rewards for it 5 and not the 10 for the 30 gillette purchase.

    • does anyone kno where i could get the infant wallgreens care booklet.. mine doesnt even kno waht it is

      • Anna

if there are any other Wags around you, try them. My friend had to search high and low, but finally found a store that had the Infant Care booklet. She gave me one. Yay!  The code that they type in is 2844.  Last time the diapers went BOGO I called costomer service and they said they could punch in the code if I had it.  I still had a challenge at the register with the manager being called over, and them giving me awkward looks, and talking about what they are “supposed” to do.  But, I was really nice and just asked politely and told them I have three in diapers, so I'm always looking to save a little, and anything helps. (I brought my cute 2 year old in with me ;-))

        • Slturner02

I talked to a store manager that I know this week and ask for the booklet. She said they were out and would try to order more. She said hers was the only store of 3 in our area to even get them.  Good luck, also she said you can keep the booklet and use the coupon over and over all year.

          • Slturner02

Also in my store they are usually on a table in the pharmacy waiting area.

    • Kitycat345554

you can get a scan and print it also, I have one that was sent to me awhile ago during another deal that I keep in my inbox, I would be more then happy to forward it to any email address's you leave

    • Rainey993

I've notice that it's always' or just about the same thing on sale. I know there are sale cycles. So I'm wondering why people take everything? And why are people stock piling? Just wondering.

      • Amie

I think that the stores simply don't order enough or aren't sent enough sale stuff. If each couponer (not to mention people who don't coupon) buys 2 things at my store, they'd be out the first day of the sale…probably within a few hours. I know there are the notorious “shelf clearers” out there but I haven't seen any at my store. I stock pile to get what I need for the lowest prices.

      • Cupcakedreams02

people that stock pile to the end of time are just wasting there time.. it really does not have to be that way. Now dont get me wrong there are some exceptions to the rule. By me for instance there was a great deal at another store where dipers where just a couple of bucks ..well stock up as much as I can store. but I also did this in a couple of trips. not clearing the shelf and giving people plenty to get as well. .Now as for the rest of stuff plan on stock piling only for three months or so. Since there is a cycle of about every 12 to 14 weeks or so a item will go on sale again, and some things like tooth paste you can always get a great deal and should never have to pay for again. So in the end your stock pile should be within reason, and not 100 things of mustard :) there is no reason for that… And yes you can get it just as or free and save :)

        • cat123789

sorry should have used spell check above lol :)

        • W Vickie

hey, people are not stock piling. They go around with over 100 coupons every week. They get all these things freeand you know what? They are going to the jockey lot on the weekends and selling this stuff. I talked to a lady and her husband at the walgreen I go to and they told me this is what they do. So, I went to the Anderson jockey lot to see if this was true. Sure enough they were down there selling all their freebies and much more. Not only was it them, but the whole outside was set up with people doing the same thing they are. This is why when we go to walgreens these pepole has empty the shelves out and they alwayshit everyone in Anderson county.I just don't think it's fair to pepole like us

    • paoli

Last week, I got about $115 worth of stuff at walgreens for $36!  Thanks for doing all of the hard work for us!  My husband may kill me if I bring home one more of the Gillette ProFusion razors.  There are 3 in there now.

      • lol, my husband said the same thing! I told him it was cheaper for me to buy the razor instead of the cartridges. :)

      • Erin

Lol me too! He usually uses disposables, but I told him he'd better start using these because they are accumulating like crazy!

    • Momma2micah

Yay! We loooove walgreens brand diapers! They are the best!!

    • Wwkkss07

How exactly do Register Rewards work?  Can they really not be used on any P&G products?  Doesn't that limit what you actually can buy?

      • tina

you can use them on pg products but if you get any from buying it pg products you cant use it on buying more or the rr wont print

    • tina

i cant findthe small filler item im stuck with 15 cows tails right now and no1 in my family likes them

      • Mrs. Twilley

I find something that I will actually use. Like the Comet that's on sale for $0.50 (w/ store coupon).

      • Mrs. Twilley

I find something that I will actually use. Like the Comet that's on sale for $0.50 (w/ store coupon).

    • Amie

FYI: Re: Infant Care Booklet: I emailed Wags and requested one and they sent it to me. It may not arrive for you in time for this sale, but the coupons are good through the end of the year so you'll be able to use it at some point. It's too bad they aren't consistent and don't just let everyone use the codes. I've been to one Wags where the cashier scanned the coupon and gave it back to me, with a smile, and said it is good all year. At all the other Wags I've been to, they keep the coupon. I got lucky and found a few more booklets since the one I got via mail.

    • Mandyward67

If my total comes up to $6.99 and I have $7 in RR, will they let me use that and just lose a penny, or will they not let me use it at all?

      • VP22

Nope, unfortunately it will beep. You need to find a small filler item like a piece of candy.

        • Lwhetzel624

i had that happened today 1 cent lol i had to buy a 10 cent candy

        • Actually – Wags store policy is that you can have the coupon adjusted down to the amount – some states still require that you pay tax, and that can cause a small issue.  However if the ITEMS cost (before tax) is $5.99 and you have a $6 RR then they definitely CAN adjust the coupon amount down to $5.99.  This is why it's so helpful to have the coupon policy handy with you at all times while shopping, it's been my experience that I'm more familiar with store coupon policies than the cashiers sometimes.

          • Mcleodsc

While that is store policy, the cashiers at my WAGS claim that they are not allowed to adjust a coupon down. I just buy a small filler so I won't have any aggravation checking out!

            • Yeah the cashiers at my store aren't really familiar with that either.  I've only run into the issue once, and I had to have a manager come to the register – another reason I only check out at the Beauty Register.  I hate to hold other people up!

      • Karen

I had that happen to me last night and the register beeped, but the cashier adjusted my RR down a penny.  You can always try it.

    • Kcreviews

Our Wag ad had the Deer Park water on sale, not the Ice Mountain.

    • Colby0587

you cant use register rewards on the order only on a order after you purchase the item so how does it make it free

      • Cori C.

It doesn't make it free. But depending on how many RR dollars you get back, your next purchase could be free or very cheap. It's really just a gimmick to get you to spend more money in their store.

        • Teecee

The “free” counts on your next order. When I get the RRs I always have another small order ready to go to buy stuff I actually want with the discount from the first transaction. Some people do count it twice, though, free on the first order and the coupon you get to use next time.

    • Teecee

I gave up on trying to find the “free” stuff, but I've found that if I just choose things from the ads that I actually want to buy that I can still get them and usually save money too.

    • Will Walgreens accept the donation sheet coupons even though they say Publix on them?  They're manufacturers coupons but they say Publix in pretty large print on the front.

      • Lwhetzel624

yes, the are manf coupons not really publix

    • TAhjuannia

I'm loving Walgreen and CVS.  I will never pay full price for anything. I'm enjoying this. People please stop stock piling. Today this lady came to CVS with a team of people and started clearing the shelves it's not that serious.

    • Erica Phan

Where can I get the Walgreens infant care booklet for $2 off diapers?

      • Karen

I have yet to be able to find that booklet, but I have just given the cashier the code (I looked it up online) and that has worked just fine.  Good luck!

      • Jnjtaxi

Our local Walgreens has a stack of these booklets at the Pharmacy. I have two that I will mail you.Send your address to  jnjtaxi@charter.net I also will send you all my diaper and formula coupons that I get. My kids are 18 and 23 . I feel as though I am throwing money in the trash  so I  would love to send them to you weekly if you want. (or when they come out)

    • Inferno4915

I have a question please…….. Your scenario above mentions a coupon from the Publix Donation Sheet.  However, Walgreens don't accept competitor coupons, so how does this work?  Thanks :)

      • Jacketfan24

The donation sheet I got says manufacturer's coupon on it…but you have to donate $5 to Children's Miracle Network (which goes to your local children's hospital) to get the sheet with the $2 coupon.  I donated $1 since I work for Walmart and this is our campaign period for that charity also and I've donated through them about $50, and my sheet only has a .55 coupon.  I think the $3 donation sheet has a $1 coupon on it.

        • Coupongal1

Where do you get the Publix donation sheet at?

    • connie

The weirdest thing just happened yesterday at my local walgreens. I was out so I stopped by to pick up some of the Dr.Pepper and A&W that was in the add for 4/$10 because they are my kids fave. They had a drop pallet at the door unflagged, but didn't have all the flavors I wanted so I went to the aisle to get what I wanted. There they had the yellow sales flags but then above it on the shelf at eye level they had a white printed sign saying “Sorry all of our coupons have been depleted.” I didn't get the drinks and left, didn't want to cause mess by trying to buy them and them ringing up full price. But when I left I glanced at the register and there was an ad paper laying there, but none in the metal holder they're usually in. I was really at a loss because nothing like that has ever happened to me before at Wags, any suggestions if it happens again?

      • Minnil0ve

are you saying that you didn't have the coupon from the ad already?
I'm kinda confused as to what you are saying?

        • connie

I'm saying I didn't have an ad with me, but Wags always has extra laying around.

    • Thesmithsofop

If anyone has the coupon booklet that is green and yellow and has all Walgreens brand coupons in it, I would really appreciate any of the diaper coupons you can't use. My local stores did not get that booklet. The diaper coupon can be stacked with the Infant Care book as it is a manufacturer coupon. Thank you so much! My email is thesmithsofop@yahoo.com.

      • Edna

I have the June book with huggies pull ups.Is that the one you want?I have 2 coupons. Will be happyto send them to you.

    • Tom

Finally got all six of the Jet-Dry 8.45oz bottles that were/are on sale this month for $3.99. Had a $1.50 walgreens coupon and a $1.00 mfg coupon and there is a $1.50 RR all this month. Net cost .27c each (the sales tax). Only problem is I had to go to a total of 8 different Walgreens to get the 6 bottles (got lucky at one store where they actually had 2 – did the two as seperate transactions). Nobody ever said that bargin hunting was going to be easy. lol…

      • Wooburne1

Tom, where did you get the store & man Q's? I need Jet-dry. Thanks

        • Tom

the Walgreens SS 5-22-11 anf the mfg SS 4-17-11

    • Mel

Great Trips to Wags to today. Got a lot of the sobe water, love this stuff no calories. Suave body wash and Nivea body wash for pennies. My local wags only allows 1 rr Sunday to Friday then Saturday it's a free for all so the shelves are well stocked on Saturday.

    • Couponbadic

There is a “Try it Free”  MIR on the Finesse bottles at my local walgreens.  You can only submit the rebate for one of the bottles that you purchase but it make it $3.50 money maker if you have the $1 off coupons or $1.50 money maker if you don't have the coupons!

    • Kitycat345554

Everyone who asked should be getting their walgreens infant care ad scan in their emails in a few minutes, if anyone has issues or wants one and didn't see the first post, please post your email in response to this, and I'll try to check it again later.

    • BSMeidling

Just want to let everyone know my experience at Walgreens this morning.  I attempted to take advantage of the buy $30 Gilette products get $10 RR.  I of course had my coupons for each item.  I was declined my $10 RR because by using coupons I did not spend the required $30.  I asked to see this policy in writing and he could not, but still declined my RR.  I have writen to Walgreens regarding this, but wanted to let others know.  If it has to be $30 above and beyond coupons it is not a great deal.

      • Erin

There must be another reason it didn't print, this worked fine for me and I certainly didn't spend anywhere near $30 after coupons.

      • Wrayborn

Mine worked fine as well. I got the 10 dollar one and the 5 dollar one because I spent 30 and got the razor too! I hate it for you. Did you try to use some register rewards? I heard from the manager at my walgreens that when you use a register rewards (if they say p&g at the bottom) for more p&g products the register will not print out more rewards. Just a thought.

      • Couponspinale

This happened to me yesterday too.  The manager told me that they had received an email advising that the razor could not be part of the $30.00 to produce the 10 RR.

      • Debbie-patterson

Tried that last week with the deodorant. One store wouldn't print the register rewards, mgr also told me it was “after” coupons. Advised her no it wasn't, got my money and my coupons back, went to my usual store and had no problem.
I think it's somehow in the way they ring it up. If they do this I'm done with Walgreens, they are to hard to deal with anyway.

      • Tippv2j

I emailed the corporate office, because the store told me the razor was not part of the deal.  I told corporate that is false advertisting because the razor is in the picture and the signs in the store say “All Gillette products”  I hope others email the corporate office too

        • Guest

That's what i was told too.  It had to be what was  in the picture which was cartridges.

      • Froggie356522

I had a simular experience, only they allowed my purchase before coupons to add up to the required $30. My rewards did not print and I pointed this out and was told that the items I purchased did not qualify even though all the items were Gillette, I gave them the products back and got a refund!  Tippv2j the razor was the only thing I didn't get the refund on but it WAS one of the qualifying products.

      • Tina M.

I came across the same issue….the manager told me that a email had just come out that morning about it that even after coupons you still had to spend $30 to get the $10 RR.

    • Christie

I don't see any Finesse products in the actual ad I got in the Sunday paper today.  Is this a monthly deal or a two day special?  Just curious as it factors into my scenario pretty heavily.  Thanks in advance for any info!

Walgreens does not allow “profit” anymore, the best you can do is get it for free.   Take a look at their new coupon policy.

      • Taylor

I think that Jenny means that the calcium is a profit, because the RR that you will receive is greater than the amount paid for the product.  Walgreens cannot withhold the RR simply because it is greater than the amount of the price paid for a product.  However, Wags is not supposed to allow a coupon to be applied that is greater than the purchase price (profit).  I hope this makes sense.  =)

Jenny is extremely ethical (the most ethical blog I have ever found), and she is very careful to make sure she stays within the store's guidelines.

    • Leslie

The problem I'm having is I will go on Sunday to take advantage of the great deals but by the time I get there, ALL..and I mean ALL the sale items are gone. And I've been going at different times, as early as 8am. I have even gone back multi-times throughout the week and still no items. It appears the walgreens I go to do not keep a lot of stock of the sale items. It gets very frustrating!

      • Ms.Susan

The managers arent doing there jobs by getting there ad papers for the coming weeks and ordering up so the products will be there on time. Im Senior  Beauty Advisor and i get the ad papers 3 weeks ahead of time and I order for my cosmetic area, to make sure i have enough for my customers at my West Columbia Walgreens. THATS WHAT MAKES FOR HAPPY CUSTOMERS

        • ozzishep

You're awesome Ms. Susan!  If only all people would take such pride in their jobs!   I wish I lived near you so I could come & shop at your store!  :)

        • Carolrpayne

again, you rock.  My Walgreens in Marietta GA is super and very sweet. They were the ones who told me to do two transactions so I wouldn't forget to use my RR's which I sometimes do.  I never have trouble there. Theyaresosweet!

          • Kkcash269

I'm in woodstock GA and my walgreens is super friendly and the lady who works on sunday is a doll and helpes me figure out the deals :)

        • Guest

Too bad you are not at any of the Summerville stores.

      • Destiny691966

Yeah I have had this problem also for weeks on end. I wanted to take advantage of the free toothbrushes wich were advertised for several weeks and everytime I went in they were out. What is the deal, they dont ever get any in or what?

      • Wooburne1

I go on Sunday get a few things. Then if it is something I really want and lots of like the Sobe water I let them know and they order it for me and I go back on Friday when their truck comes in and buy what I order. Of if I don't have them order I will go back on Saturday and get what as much as I like cause it's last day of sale. But ask your Beauty Advisor to order for you. My doesn't have a problem with it and suggests it.

    • Ms.Susan

This is Ms. Susan from the West Columbia Store, Im Senior Beauty Advisor, and I ordered lots of airwick for this weeks ad the manager said customers can bye as many as they like and there is no limit.I also stocked up on Tone and I ordered Lots of Dail Body Wash for my customers. See you there.

      • Wooburne1

Now that is great customer service. Even on her time off she take the time to be nice and offer items to her customer! Great job Ms. Susan….how about training some of these other cashiers you can take it on the road and train the whole nation of Walgreens!

      • Carolrpayne

        Ms. Susan, You ROCK

      • Glenda

Thanks Ms Susan and I love your store.  I come from Lexington and pass other Walgreens, but I love your store and items are almost always in stock.  Also the store personnel is great and don't look at couponing as scums of the earth.  Great job and I always complete surveys.

    • Raynesmw

I just had the WORST experience ever at Walgreens. I left the parking lot crying and shaking. The cashier was so rude to me. I asked for my toothbrushes (2) and my 2 2-liter drinks be rung up separately. He was overly rude to me to the point that they guy behind me said “boy I can feel the love from him toward you right now.” I told the cashier at the end that I didn't appreciate him being so mean and I would call corporate about him. He said to me “Like I care.” The manager was on the other reg and I said to him, do you see how he is treating customers? He said hold on I will talk with you in just a minute. At that point, the cashier said very smartly to me, “You know you didn't even pay for anything you got tonight, why should I be nice?” I thought I would pick my mouth off the floor. I was shocked. I said to him, you know what, if you don't want to work with customers, give somebody a job that is unemployed. My coupons and what I paid for what I got pays you. He said you don't pay me, and told me again, you didn't even pay for anything in your bag. I was shaking I was so mad. The manager walked me out and told me he would talk to him. I called Walgreens before I left the parking lot. I told them he needed to be replaced. They have such great deals, it is SO sad that their customer service is so bad. There are some employees that are super nice, but at this particular one, even the manager will walk by you and not even talk. I will not be going back to that store. I have 2 more in my area that are a lot nicer. So frustrating!

      • AHedrick

I am very sorry that happened to you, however their customer service isn't bad… just that one guy you experienced is a loser.  You certainly should call corporate on him.  That guy should not be in customer service.  There are plenty of people that are unemployeed and would love his job!

        • Destiny691966

I have not had such a bad run in with the employees but I dont agree with the last response. I cant stand walgreens, I have had nothing but problems with the since I started the couponing. They dont print the RR they say you are suppose to get, You have to fight to get what they say your suppose to get and it is just so much trouble that it is almost not worth the deals you do manage to walk away with. I for one cant stand walgreens as a whole but every once in a while they have a deal too good to pass up, but it takes a REALLY good deal to get me to go fight for it!!!

      • ozzishep

OUCH!  I could feel your pain.  It's hard to believe that this guy could keep his job!! Just because you used q's for the items doesn't mean that the store is losing money…they get reimbursed for the q's plus a handling fee.  He also doesn't know how much you may normally spend on other shopping trips there.  Bottom line though….NO ONE deserves to be treated like that…EVER!  I have been in customer service management for years and I couldn't imagine keeping an employee with a mouth & attitude like that!!

      • Dianna

OH YES I feel your pain.  Last week the cashier was very rude to me as well.  When my RR didn't print, she told me I still got a good deal. When I asked to return the items and have them rung up again, she called manager and explained that I did get one RR but “still wasn't pleased.”   When I worked a min. wage job, i still never treated customers like that!

      • Kaliemp

i have had similar experiences at my Wags… the women in my store are extremely rude! I have been called a Bit** more than once.. I call the manager and he apparently thinks it's funny. So the last time i called the 800# and they got in touch with the Regional Manager. The problem has been resolved. 2 of the women no longer work there and the other has been EXTREMELY nice lately!

      • ireneY

Sounds like you handled the situation well. We've all run into unfriendly cashiers who think like that, but never say it out loud. He takes the cake! Make sure you contact higher up, but still not shop there until you feel up to it. At least it may be friendlier when you eventually return… maybe.
Don't let that one jerk keep you from saving money elsewhere! We feel your pain.

      • Carla

You know Ive had some really rude people like that I dont show any emotions and simple say yep I didnt pay anything now dont you feel stupid when YOU DO???? Have a great day cause I will!!!!

      • Sjmc7

I would have told him, that’s right, I didn’t, I’ll be using that saved money to go to the beach next weekend and use the suntan lotion I just got free!…LOL..8>))

BET YOU NEVER NEW THAT the $5.00 off  2 covergirl coupon will take 5.00 off ANY one single covergirl makeup, not just the type it says and you dont have to bye 2, and some of the covergirl cost less than $5.00 so you get to add some free items just to use the coupon and the item and the makeup will be free up to $5.00. TRY IT YOULL BE GLAD YOU DID

    • Ms.Susan

      • Smfenton

Is that for every purchase that you buy?  My husband just got his AARP card in the mail yesterday so this post perked my interest.    How does it exactly work?

        • Ms.Susan

    • Destiny691966

Ok I am really getting upset. I tried to go to their website to send them an email about the problems I have hadf with there store and you cant get to an email address. I tried going to customer service and got nowhere. went to contacxt us and still only get a phone number. No offense but I have better things to do than sit on hold all day for a company who obviously dosent care about there customer service anyways!!!

      • MattandCalebsMom
      • Dianna

I had a problem with my shopping trip last week and called the 1-800 number on the back of my receipt.  It didn't take long at all to reach someone. The store manager called me back within an hour or so, and the problem was resolved.  Give it a try!

If you have a survey offer at the bottom of your receipt, maybe you could try voicing your concerns on the survey?

      • Guest

Stop shopping there.  I had my last aggravating experience there yesterday and only plan to set foot in there long enough to use 3 RR slips I earned.  They are not helpful, their system is set up to make it hard and most of their employees I have dealt with in my area don't seem to care if you get satisfaction or not.  CVS has my business now.  They go above and beyond to help you without all the gimmicks of how you have to use rewards and your coupons.

    • MattandCalebsMom

I just left my 24 hour Walgreens to try to take advantage of the deals before the stockpilers wiped out our store shelves but was told that the advertised deals do not start until 6am. I looked all over the sales paper and NO where does it say that. The salesperson was very polite and said she doesn't think it's right. She suggested that I contact Walgreens headquarters and request the sales start at 12:01am on Sundays for the 24 hour stores. Would you please take a moment to email Walgreens and make that suggestion? I think if more people suggest this, we may get it in the works!

      • Shelly

The stores in my area start printing them at 2:00 a.m. (it's midnight Pacific time when the sales are inputted into the computer).  I think they're either misinformed or they're not being honest.  Try one transaction at midnight (or whatever equivalent time you are to midnight PST) and see if it works.  I never wait until Sunday morning…I always go at 2:00 a.m. because the store is wiped clean if I don't.  Also, there's no one in the store, so I can take my time with my transactions without having to worry about people in line.  They are also in a better mood cuz it's not so busy.  :)

    • BigBlueSky

there are lots of great B1G1 items this week!  question:  can I use a
coupon on the “free” item?  e.g. i have 2 manufacturer coupons for the
nature made vitamins…am I allowed to use both, or only 1 since I am
only paying for one bottle?  Thanks so much!

      • Yes, you should be able to use a manufacturer's coupon AND a store coupon (if there is one available) on EACH item you purchase, regardless of the store's sale price.

    • Ladybugpam

It's obvious why your name is rathernotsay.  I'd be ashamed to use coupons in that manner, and I think you feel guilty about it, too.  That's bad coupon karma.

    • Wooburne1

      I believe that is Fraud!

      • jessc5

        Yes, yes it is!

    • Jcgarner

I'm not finding the SS in the Dallas Papers!! Did anyone else get it?

      • Amy

        I got the SS.

        • Michelle

You always have to check your coupon inserts BEFORE you leave the store.  There are greedy, dishonest coupon thieves that steal inserts from papers and then only pay for one paper.  I had to learn this the hard way too.  The ones that steal them in my area are the actual employees of the store!  Caught her doing it one morning!

    • Freefallin46

I'm not seeing the finese deal in the ad this morning?  Anyone snatched that deal yet?

      • Amie

I went this morning and got the deal, worked out fine. There was also a “try me free” sticker on all of the Finesse items, so with the mail in rebate, they are a money maker!
        P.S. – I'm in middle TN

      • Michelle

Where are you located?  I am in Houston and had the same problem with Finesse.  I don't even see it located in the Wags circular and they didn't even carry the product in the store!  Was this a regional deal??  I was really frustrated since I had taken so much time to work my 5 transactions around including this $5.00 RR so when something doesn't work, it's a domino effect, causing the following transactions to not work.

    • Couponstef

The Schick Hydro coupon is not in my Smart Source and the Dial Body Wash is not in my Red Plum either…anyone else having this problem or is it my region (live in NW Ohio)?  I can't find them on their websites either.

      • Kaliemp

i get 2 different papers each week.. one had the schick coupons and one did not! if you need some coupons email me your address and i'll send you some. I used 2 and dont need the other two. I'm sure if i put it in the mail tomorrow you will get it before the end of the week. Also Rite Aid has this item B1G1 with 2 coupons it makes 2 rasors only $0.99! kaliemp@hotmail.com  let me know!

        • Couponstef

Thank you for the offer but I found a coupon in the Detroit paper when we went for a graduation party today.  :)

      • Kkcash269

they were both in my paper, I'm in GA

    • Kaliemp

I went to Wags this morning expecting to get my Dr. Peppers 4/$10 and some change.. .HOWEVER the Dr. Peppers ARE NOT INCLUDED in this sale. The company that distributes the ones that are on sale also distributes the Dr. Peppers, but since Dr. Pepper is not listed on the coupon it is NOT INCLUDED…. I looked like an idiot at the register thinking i was gonna get my drinks at a good price! Just some FYI for those of you who drink Dr. Pepper!

    • Phildiana62

I bought the 30.00 of Gillette yesterday and it only generated the $5 for the razor.  When they called the manager up front and asked her about it she informed me that the razor was not included in the 10 RR due to their manager deciding that.  I found that odd as the picture of the shaving bag had several of the items I purchased…AND THE RAZOR in the photo.  Funny how they always stick to “You didn't buy what is in the picture” ( on your coupon, sales ad etc) but yesterday they changed their tune.  A lady behind me in line said the Walgreen's across town was printing the RR for both the 10 & 5 RR.  I had a concert to attend and did not have time to bother with running around.

I love getting discounted and free stuff as much as the next person, but I refuse to shop there again.  I don't care how good their deals are.  I plan not to look at their ads or the info on the site at all.  Eventually, each drug store has the same items on sale with rewards within weeks of each other.   CVS has always been an easy place to shop and their policies, rewards and employees are a plus to me.  I never have had a problem there.

As long as people allow themselves to be treated badly, Wags will not change anything.  They got me for the last time.

      • Stacyvernimo

I had the same thing happen to me, and they called the manager and they thought it was because i didn't spend $30 AFTER coupons. I told him that wasn't true because I had done it the previous week. The difference is I only bought body washes and deodorants as I had 3 B1G1's. This time I wanted the travel bag, and thought I could include the razor. After he did a refund and did it again so it was over $30 and it still didn't print, he went and called someone and they said you couldn't use the razor, it was printing the $5 and not the $10, and the razor was overriding it. So he did it again without the razor, and I had to add an extra body wash, which didn't make it a great deal anymore as I only had 1 B1G1 free coupon, but he had done like three voids, so I was too embarrassed to say “forget it”. Well, that didn't work either, because the total was $29.96!!! So he had to do it again, and I had to add a shave get for $3.50 to get it over, then use $1 off coupon. I finally got the $10, and don' t think it was the great deal it should have been, but he was SO helpful, I just bought it. The kit will make a nice Father's Day present or Christmas Present, so whatever. But it sucked that you couldn't use the razor in the deal. I also had that problem at CVS, where you could spend $30 and get a free razor. Well, I spent $30, but it was $17 after coupons, and the coupon that is supposed to print for the free razor didn't print. Called the manager, and he also said it was because I didn't spend $30. That is making me mad, becuase it doesn't say $30 AFTER COUPONS!!! So he said he couldn't do anything and refunded my money.

      • katie

I hate that so many people are having a hard time with walgreens. I purchased this same deal last week and got 10 RR and 5 RR back. My walgreens is so helpful. I guess it really depends on the store and managers, but I don't think its right a particular store can say they are not going to include an item in the sale when it is printed/pictured in the circular

      • Mec

You sound like you are from my area.  One is great, the other stinks!  You wouldn't happen to be from Decatur, AL would you?

    • Luvjeffbates

I went yesterday to get the 30.00 Gillette deal.  I had seen up here that many of you were not able to get the 10.00 RR when you included the razor as part of your purchase. So, I purchased body wash and deodorant and it added to over 30.00 before coupons.  Still, no RR.  When I questioned the manager, she said I was “like the 10th person who had asked about that.”  She said Walgreens has just changed their policy with ANY deals like that so that your total is based on BEFORE coupons.  I called corporate immediately after that.  The person I talked to said that yes some changes had been recently made but he could not find anything in what he was reading that would clarify this situation either way.  He sent my concern “higher up” and said I should hear something within 2 days.  I am not liking this……………….

      • guest

I went to our Wags and tried to do the deal also with the razor.  I LOVE my wags, so when only the $5 rr printed, I asked to speak to the manager.  He informed me that the picture in the flyer was of a $14.99 kit and the items in the kit were displayed and the razor was one of the items.  I have never had a problem with my wags, so I believed what he said.  So, I returned everything and got $33 worth of body wash and deodorant used over $20 in coupons and a $5 rr and the $10 rr printed.  Like I said previously, I love my walgreens and I have no problems whatsoever using coupons in the store.  There was a post about p & g making a mistake in both the $5 and $10 rr printing out for that deal and rectified the problem.  So some people were lucky to get both rr's to print.  I was excited that I bought over $30 worth and only paid almost $8, and got $10 rr.

    • Dorkandshorty04

does any one know where i can get a good deal on some huggie wipes???

      • Tnjcent

Publix has a little booklet. It is orange and is called”You'll melt for Sweet Summer Savings!”. It has a $1.50 Q for Huggies(183-213 ct).Good untill 6-30-11.There is also a .50 cents off Huggies coupon which came out today's paper(6-12-11). It can get doubled at publix. Total: $2.50 which can be applied towards the large package of wipes. Here, the package normally costs $6.99. Publix puts it on sale quite a lot for $5.99. Good luck!

      • Wooburne1

free @ Publix if you buy the diapers. Theres a Q in the infant book.

      • Shannonw1983

My lowes foods in nashville nc has had them on sale for 1.99 for awhile and with doubling the .50 cent coupon makes them 1.00

    • Melissa

I am just about done shopping at Walgreens! After reading other people's comments, I see than many other people feel the same way. This morning I went in to buy the Airwick Freshmatic that should be 7.99-4.00Q, get back 3.00RR=.99. I could not find the one that looked exactly like the one in the paper, but the one I got had the sales tag below it. It did not print the RR. The cashier called the manager and she tried to say it was because I used a manufacturer q. I explained that on the back of the sales paper it clearly shows using the coupon to get it for .99. They finally figure out that it is not the right product and they don't have the right one, even though they had a whole end cap display of the the one I got! I had to get a refund and ask for my coupon back so I could buy it somewhere else. Then I did another transaction where I was buying 3 items with 2 manu q's, 1 store q and a RR. It would not take my RR, she said I needed to buy another item. I explained that the store q should not count. But she said it did. I was so frustrated and ready to just get out of there and stop holding up the line, that I didn't bother showing them the coupon policy and just grabbed a candy bar and paid. I will not be shopping at Walgreens any more, unless they have a really, really, really great deal on something!

      • katie

see above…the RR are not printing for the air wicks…something to do with corporate. Wasted trip for me, but I was glad my walgreens manager told me before I rang my stuff up!

      • Wangcedes

I also hate Walgreens. I live in Key West, Florida and both Walgreens down here  have problems when I use coupons. They are completetly rude to me. I still have about $10 in rr to use and after I do I am finished with them!

    • Smfenton

Anyone know where i can get the Infant Care Booklet?  Is it with all of the other sales ads in the store  or is this something that i have sign up for and get mailed?

      • coolcoupondude

        mine was by the pharmacy

    • Erin

Sigh…my Air Wick RR didn't print and I didn't realize it until I got home. I made sure I got the one pictured in the ad so I don't know what the problem was, but I am not going back to get it fixed, not worth the drive and the irritation of arguing with the store. Walgreen's is starting to irritate me more, seems like there is always some kind of problem when I go there.

      • katie

I went this morning and before I went to check out the manager saw the Air wick in my cart and told me the RR are not printing for this particular item and they had already contacted corporate offices. She told me to check back Mon or Tues. Sorry…they didn't say anything to you.

      • Rachel

I had the same problem, I was lucky enough to catch it when I was there, but it is very frustrating.

      • Ladybugpam

call the catalina company directly(google for their number).  Have your receipt on hand b/c they need that info and they will send any unprinted RR to you in the mail once they verify that it is a valid purchase/valid offer.

    • ireneY

Someone had suggested printing 4×6 pics as fillers. Has anyone used the in-ad Q to get just one for 10 cents?

    • Blueizjade

Had the best trip ever at my Walgreens in Mebane, NC.  I got 7 of the Air Wick deals, 8 of the lysol toilet boil cleaners, 8 dial body wash, 6 Ragu pasta sauces (should have bought 2 more would have gotten a 5 RR, oh well my mistake) and 2 filler candy bars.  Total amount I paid was $35.29.  Total amount saved $159.48!!! I love walgreens.

Also, I almost had a problem with get the $3 RR for the Airwick but management was already aware of the problem and had a dummy Airwick up front that when it was swiped instead of the ones on the shelves the RR printed.  They were prepared for the issue and handled it like Pros.  I love this store and the staff is Amazing.

      • mommy of 5

Our walgreens did the samething with the air wicks!!  very nice walgreens!!

      • Nita Royal

Wow – did you do separate transactions on all of these?  My local stores are limiting to 2 per person, one on some items.  I only got 1 of each item I was interested in, but that's OK, since I only have 3 toilets ;-)

        • Blueizjade

I did each Airwick separate and did the rest on one trans.

      • Jennscaffeinated

Mine KNEW about the problem, but only could give me a piece of paper to mail in for my RR. The paper wasn't even for Air Wick, and it says I have to wait 6-8 weeks for my $3 RR. I think I'm just going to return the thing :( Not worth it at all.

PS. They only had the odor detect ones on the shelf. Actually they don't even have a place on the shelf for the ones in the box anymore.

    • Mandi

I did the Neutragena deal this morning and the store coupon only took off $4 instead of $6.  Just thought you should know if you were counting on it taking off more.  :-(

    • ozzishep

The Hot Springs, AR Walgreens ROCKS!  They had every item on my list, the staff is always friendly & helpful!  I was able to use a photocopy of the WAG coupon for the baby diapers (since they don't have any Infant Care Booklets in my area).  It was a GOOD Walgreen day for me!

Next I went to Kroger….again the best shopping ever!  Every item on my list was stocked!  They still have the Kings Hawaiian Buns for 2 for $4. and with my $1 man. q I was able to get 5 for a buck each!  Kudos for Kroger in Hot Springs also!   :)

      • arkansas!!!!!! ;)

Hey just wanted to say hey…its nice to see another arkansas lady on here!!

    • danielle

Anyone know if the $1/2 Ajax products(SS 5/22) will work on the dishsoap in their ad for .79?  The coupon shows pictures of laundry detergent, but it says “any two”

      • Sarah27828

It should, I used it.  Sometimes it won't scan but the coupon says any product.  They will manually take it off.

    • LM

It shouldn't be this way, but it really does depend on the store you go to and the cashier you have. I swore off Walgreen's last week, but still had almost $20 RRs so decided to go use those today. Went to the Walgreens in Mauldin, SC and had such a great experience.  The cashier was SO helpful. She took all my coupons and RRs and told me exactly what I needed to do to get the best deal! If you find a good store with good employees that understand their own policies (as they all should), it makes a world of difference!

      • guest

yes it does.  I now refuse to go to the 24 hour store in Simpsonville, SC on Fairview Rd.  They could not be any more rude and helpful you can just forget about that.  The one in Mauldin and the one on Woodruff Road are fantastic.

      • Faith

Hey, you stay away from my friendly Wal-green's…lol I love that store. Always helpful and the manager, Courtney, is an Angel….

        • Sarah27828

Maybe I will start driving all the way to Mauldin, I have the hardest time in Greenville.  Not very helpful and I feel like I am bothering them!

    • Mel

Great trip to Wags today, got the Angel soft tissue deal,2 blistex,1 butterfinger,1dial body wash, and some filler silly bands for 3oop. Got back 8rr. Gotta love it.

      • Sajantz

        what does “oop” mean?

        • Out Of Pocket…….What you will actually pay after all the discounts :-D

          • Sajantz

ohh..ok! thank you for filling me in with the lingo! :)

    • BoxerMom

Don't know if it was mentioned but along with the $2 Bayer coupon there's also a rebate to get the cost minus coupon back in the mail :) making it an even better money maker

      • BoxerMom

And there's also rebates attached to most of the finesse clean + simple products so again an even better money maker

    • Faith

When I'm shopping at CVS and have a negative balance they will adjust the price to 0….Does Walgreen's do this. I had hard time with different store trying to figure out the overage. I have to keep purchasing items until I'm owing the store. What should I do?

      • cecilia

no walgreens does not do that… that is why u have to get a filler item

        • Nita Royal

My WAGS will adjust the coupon down. Getting the filler doesn't solve the problem of the MFG coupon beeping, if it's over the sale price.

      • Angelasattic

Adjusting the coupon value down is a ymmv issue… I've had stores do it for me, but I've heard some don't. For example, when the item you're buying is $1.99 but the coupon is for $2. Fillers are different. The filler item is used to ensure that you have the same NUMBER of items as coupons, for cases where you're using RRs and coupons to pay for transactions.

    • I just got home from my local Wags. While I was there I found an awesome clearance deal; they had Oral B Procision Clean brush heads (3 pk.) on clearance for $6.99 down from $27.99.
I think I remember there being a coupon for these, but since I didn't have my binder with me I wasn't sure. But this is such a great deal, even without coupons, that I had to snatch them up.
If anyone knows if there is a coupon available I would love to know about it, since I refuse to pay $30 for brush heads for my toothbrush! =D

    • Michelle

I went to Walgreens today at 2:30 and the shelves were already bare, literally had nothing that was on sale, i have been seeing this alot lately, i understand the newbies are having fun with this, but come on save some of the stuff for others. It is not only wags i am talking about its even our walmart, kmart, cvs, ect. My kids were in need of the toddler bathroom wipes and no one had any!

    • Sarah27828

The Ragu RR didn't print and it was such a hassle to get them to fix it.  They also made me go back and purchase more items (to increase the total) to see if it would work….not fun.

      • KYMom

Same thing happened to me, ended up with no register reward at all- have already contacted corporate

      • Shirley

Same here, noticed when I got home, didn't have time to check after leaving like I usually do, but went back and got my RR. I got 4 ragu & 4 skippy's . When she scanned the ragu, it didn't work, but the skippy's did. Luckly my Wags has great workers.

    • Question about Airwick. My Store Ad states Airwick is 2/$5, and free warmer WYB 2. So if I want to use the Free warmer WYB refill coupon in addition, do I need to grab two warmers and I get both free or will they just take the cost of the warmer (1.49) off my total………I know this is probably a dumb question, but I've noticed Walgreens coupons are kind of weird.

    • Deecheers4rv

      I hate fillers so much!!!

      • Angelascoupons1

My store has packs of silly bands for $.10 each! They are the perfect filler because they are so cheap. That is what I have been using for the past couple of weeks. See if your store has them.

        • Changingthewayushop4ever

If you don't have kids, please donate them to a local teacher or school as classroom rewards!

      • ME TOO! Most of the time the fillers aren't things I really want or need, but for 10 cents……they are worth it for the coupon discounts. I just really hate having to look around for them or decide which one to get.

    • I see below where some people are getting the Airwick RR to print for the auto sensor product. My store had them MARKED as receiving the RR and I still didn't get it. The manager said it's not included (again, it was marked) and said she couldn't do anything to make it print… fine with me but just a heads up!

    • Shelly

And YOU would be the VERY person who is giving us honest couponers a bad name!  It's because of you that the rules are getting more and more restrictive.  The simply fact that you are too cowardly to post your name should tell you that you know what you are doing is wrong.  It's called shoplifting and, last time I checked, that is a crime in all 50 states.

    • JenJenSoCal

I really dislike shopping at walgreens. The people that work there are quite mean. and I never save at Wags like I do at Rite Aid.

Last week I  had a great guy on the cash out in Walgreens..what a difference just a little pleasantry makes..this week I had a real sour puss. Ok it was 7 am..I managed to get all but one thing on my list..all coupons were counted and given to her in the correct order..she moaned from start to finish ..stupid comments like “well you Do know that you can't have more coupons than products, right?”  etc etc.. and so it went on.. I walked away and let her get on with it and just completely ignored her..i'm not normally so rude or impatient but I'm fed up with crap from people who's job it is to cash you out (coupons and all).  When she'd finished I gave her $4.80 ..waited for my $18 in RR's and loaded up my cart with value $85.60 worth of goods.. smiled sweetly at the miserable old biddy and walked out. ughh.

      • sarah

I try to not get mad at other people's attitude because I always think that I never know what's happening in their life, and who knows if they act that way all the time or maybe they're having a bad day. i have a friend who can be a real grouch to be around but she has been recently diagnosed with not 1 but 3 medical issues that are stressing her out so I always try to remember that, even though it's not an excuse to be mean to others but who's to say I wouldn't feel/act the same way in the situation

        • Les

Yeah I hear you..and like I said I'm not normally so rude or impatient..but quite honestly if people can't separate their job from their work..they should not do a job involving interacting with the public.  I live in a small town..this woman is often on check out and always miserable.. and coupons are too much like hard work for her.  She laughs and jokes with other employees in the store..whilst being an absolute pain to the customer..she even told people in the queue behind me to all go to another checkout because I was going to take “an age”…  I didn't have that many coupons.

    • amy

Do RR's expire, for those who aren't wanting to do a weekly Walgreens trip just to redeem those already….

      • karen

Yes, you have 2 weeks to use them.  If I know I'm not coming back, I just find something in the store to spend them on.  I can always use baby wipes or diapers!

    • amy

For Wags and CVS, when an ad says, “Spend $20 get $10 in rewards/ECB” does that mean $20 in the ring up regular or sale price OR does that mean spend $20 even after your coupons THEN you get the rewards/ECB?  I believe I had read it meant the purchase price BEFORE coupons counts towards your rewards/ECB.  Just wanting to verify.  Thanks ya'll :)

      • sarah

        20 dollars before using coupons

    • Clineleann

Q: the air wick refills 2/$5 w/ $1/2 singles =$4. that comes with 1 free warmer. Can I use 2 of the free warmer when u buy refill q? Giving me 2 refills and 3 free warmers for just $4??

    • Evelynandchris

I purchased two of the Lysol Neutra Air and only one RR printed.  Of course, the manager was quick to make up a new policy (as I find they do quite often). . . you can only get one RR per purchase.  I cannot find that anywhere and there were no limits in the ad on this deal.  Kinda annoyed. . . the manager said “but look, you got all of these RRs ( I got the Wal-Fex and the Blistex in same purchase).  Clearly, he did not get the point.  If I handed him $17 instead of a $20, would it be considered valuable if I said, “but look, you got all of those other dollar bills”.  I should have made him return it and ring it up separately, but I did not.

      • Mandi

If you purchased them in the same transaction, that is the reason.  You can't buy 2 of the same item and get 2 RR.  That is a general Walgreens policy.  :-(

        • Evelynandchris

I realize that now. A costly beginner mistake! :(

      • Beauty Advisor

I work for Walgreens in the cosmetics department, you only get one register reward per item PER transaction. You have to ring up the Air Wick in 2 different transactions to get both register rewards. Just like if you rang up 2 Proglide razors, if you ring them up together then only 1 $5 RR will print. If you ring them up separately then you will get 1 $5 RR for the first transaction and 1 $5 RR for the second.

    • Heather

will walgreens accept a copy of or take the code for the diapers. if so, does anyone know if they will do it more than once?

    • Djones

I was at wags and asked for a raincheck on one of the sale items.  I was told they had to give it to me for full price instead of the sale price.  That makes NO sense.  Why in the world would I even need a raincheck to come back and buy it for full price ?????

      • Kash_FL

That doesn't sound right…did u speak to the manager? I would call corporate.

        • Djones

I'm going back today and see if a different person gives me the same response.

      • JS1968

You should always be able to request a raincheck for the sale price unless the item is a deal of the week item or you are asking for the price minus the register reward or a coupon of some sort.

      • BOOYAH!

Thats just stupid. you can't get it at the price that it would be after register rewards print, but you can get it at the sale price. Register rewards cannot be generated after the sale but sale prices can always be duplicated. If I was managing that store I would have tried to substitute first with you then given you a rain check for the sale price, not including register rewards.

My Walgreens had clearanced some Hawaiian Tropic spray sunscreen down to $1.43! Combined with my $1 off any one Hawaiian Tropic product, I was able to snag some sun protection for just $0.43 per can! Check your local Walgreens to see if you can grab the same deal!

    • JTTLC

Well I normally brag about my Lancaster, SC Walgreens…….until today.  I was so disappointed in that several of the items in the sales ad that was located IN the store were not on sell at the shelf and some just not even in the store.  I saw a fellow Southern Saver (she had the same printed list as I did) ask a manager and cashier (who were chatting at the comestics counter) about the allergy medicine.  The manager said (in a snippy way) that they do not have any in the whole store and acted like she could have cared less.  Normally all but one employee there is super nice and it was sad to hear this manager act that way to a customer.  THEN I overheard them make snide comments about this customer after she left and I was standing by the body washes.  'She already has gotten deals…what does she expect'….those types of things.  I mean they could have at least made sure no other customer could hear what they were saying.  Needless to say I got out of there without much (I could have gotten much more stuff, but out of principle I decided to leave and go to the CVS that was close by).  Very disappointed…

    • BSMeidling

I just spoke with customer service for Walgreens here in Florida about a problem many of us have been experiencing.  The ad states “purchase $xxx in certain products and get $xxx in RR.”  Many of us attempted this last week regarding the Gillette sale but were denied our RR b/c we used coupons for those items.  According to the corporate office here in Florida the purchase amount must be above and beyond coupons.   I argued that coupons were considered money and thus we were purchasing, and she stated they did not view them as money.  Guess I won’t be visiting W/G much anymore!

      • wow!!! How can they not consider them as Money? They get Money back for them, Sounds fishy to me

      • Kash_FL

I had the same problem but the manager came right over & said he can't understand why the RR did not print. He went ahead & scanned the Proglide in 2 seperate transactions & gave me two of the $5RR! So i guess it depends on the manager.

      • There is a sign above the register at the Wags beauty counter where I shop that states this. I made a small transaction, 2 Nevia body washes, (2) $2 off coupons and my RRs did print on this transaction. I did not try the gillette last  week because they were out of stock as usual. I am to the point where if it isn't some absolutely GREAT  bargain then I don't go to Wags. Our local store has some of the rudest employees I have ever met!  The manager being the worst of all.She actually ranted at me when I inquired about low stock on sale items.

      • Brenherdez

i live in SC, and  i buy the gillette sale but when i use my coupons, they  denied the $10 RR for used coupons, so i can't get RR when i use coupons, too bad if somevary know where can get the RR back when use coupons, please help me Thank you!!!

      • BOOYAH!

Wag. must abide by the contratual agreement with the manaufacturers. If thats what they stipulate they have no choice otherwise the man. won't pay them. In which case the coupon is not like money…… It is like money when both parties get paid. Let's face it, it's really the man. that are limiting this. Wag. isn't in the business of not making money. Yes of course they like to make things cheap for the consumer, but not at their expense. They are a business…..

      • SBA

The problem is there was confusion with what items were actually included in the Gillette deal.  The picture in the paper showed a Gillette razor, but they are not included in the deal.  The Gillette razor pictured is actually coming out of the Gillette kit (to show what all is included in the kit) and the kit was included in the deal.  So if you purchased an individual razor thinking it was part of the deal it wasn't and that is why your RR didn't print.  I rang the deal myself not using the individual razor and the customer received the RR.  Also, the purchase I rang was not above and beyond the coupons, it was the required amount before coupons were even used, and when the customer used the coupons she only paid a few dollars for the purchase and she did receive the RR back.  It's bad to say but Corporate doesn't always know because they are not dealing with the transaction on a daily basis, the stores are, it's better to contact the store directly and ask about it and ask for it to be researched.  They will then contact other stores to see what is working and what isn't working.  Then they will get back in touch with you and let you know what they came up with.  I myself just try different things on the register until it works.  Also check out in cosmetics, you have time to figure it out there, at the front register they just try to hurry you up so they don't have a line to form and cause customer complaints on them.  It's not personal it's just how it works.  But over in Cosmetics there isn't a line.

    • Guest

Unfortunately, I am NEVER able to execute any of the “scenarios” in Jenny's posts for Walgreens, CVS or Rite-Aid…always out of stock.  You guys must be there when the doors open…glad you have the time for that.

      • Barbara

I always find out when the store's truck come in and shop after they stock the shelves. Usually helps, all you have to do is ask.

      • tina

        rainchecks are wonderful

      • Wag. Manager

Better yet ask them when they get truck and how long it would take them to have it put up. That is the best time to get the products, not the day the sale starts. Trust me I manage their.

    • Liz

i have an infant care booklet, and i took my wags diaper coupon to the store yesterday morning and got diapers on sale with the coupon for 2.99.  now, just like EVERY OTHER wags in-store coupon, you only need ONE scan to apply to your entire purchase in that transaction.  my purchase went off without a hitch….no probs.  my sister bought some as well yesterday in another state and hers went fine.

then, my sister in law called me today and said she did the same thing at her wags 5 miles up the road from mine and said the computer beeped at her coupon.  ????  they couldn't deny taking it because it was the ORIGINAL diaper coupon good through december.  they tell her they have to call corporate to get approval???  and, corporate tells the cashier that they could take it for one pack.  anyone else with the coupon have issues?  i just couldn't understand it because mine went through just fine, and it's their OWN coupon.  *smh*

i really wish wags would get on the same page at all their stores or at least let their cash registers get out of the dark ages.

      happy monday everyone!

      • Wag. Manager

I actually am a manager at walgreens and you are absolutely right. I use this coupon myself and it works all the time. eevn better for me witgh my employee discount of 20% off plus a bunch of $1 off coupons that i had from some booklet on wag. diapers. I alos know that walgreens registers are ancient and they are actually rolling out new registers to all the stores. This is a slow process though as it is very expensive and every satore has to be rewired for them. They are doing it though and you should see them within a year or two and even sooner at busier stores. My store is getting it this year. As far as the person who told you they had to get approval from corporate first, that was a lie. Corporate does not apporve coupons, managers do, unless they are fake. that sounds like the manager didn't think it was real and just made up some lame excuse. You can call 1-800-walgreen and file a complaint and it will be sent directly to the store managers email in which they have to respond to you within a certain amount of time and if they don't they will get in trouble. They will most likely give you what you want and hopefully repremand the manager who treated you poorly.

          Dear Wag. Manager,

I tried to use a $2 off coupon for Sparkle Paper Towel. I donated $5 at Publix and got $20 in coupons, pretty good deal. Anyways, went to use the coupon at Wags and the manager told me they were invalid at their store. Because Publix printed their name on the coupon pak, he said they couldn't honor it, even though it said manufacturer coupon. I had just used the same coupon at Kroger less than an hour ago. Can you clarify this so I won't waste expensive gas to leave a cart full of wags stuff cause I was too mad to buy anything else. Help.

          • BOOYAH!

unfortunately they are correct. those are coupons that manufacurer's will only pay the sotre if its used at their sotre. they are called catalina coupons and are manufacturer coupons that are store specific.

      • Ausmom

I have used the coupons in the infant care book, but each time I try to use them the cashier wants to take up the coupon.  I begrudingly have turned it over to them.  Different coupons same book.  Different transactions at 3 different stores.  Not sure how to let them know that it is a coupon that I can keep.  I do not want to argue or create a scene.  Luckily I have more than one book.  But at this rate it won't last very long.  Please let me know what to do.

        I live in Austin, TX

In case you have not noticed. The bayer aspirin coupon from rite-aid says redemmable at rite-aid only. I work at walgreens and we have been alerted to this issue.

      • Mel_Jolley

I feel sorry for Wags employees having to deal with some of this stuff. I dislike it very much when people dont read their own coupons. How are some people getting upset with the store about not knowing the policy when they dont read the coupons they are using?

    • MustangLadyred

I have to say that I was GREATLY DISAPPOINTED in Walgreens last week….I tried 2 different stores & neither one carried the items that were listed here for free after RR!!!  I didn't end up buying anything from them because of  that!!!

I went to WAGs yesterday evening and everything was in stock that I went after. I did 4 transactions my total oop was 12.69 my total savings was 62.81. It would have been more but my daughter was with me and I was paying attention to the transaction and she put both toothbrushes in one. Oh well she's 7.

I ended up with 4 air freshners(1 of each flavor), 12 nestle bars, 2 toothbrushes, 1 wags brand allergy med, 1 bayer aspirin, $9rr for next week. Plus 3 peices of taffy for my daughter.

I have to admit the staff at the wags in greenwood is so nice and helpful everytime I go in there. I hate to hear some people aren't so lucky.

    • Casey

Just wondering if anyones knows if Walgreens takes internet coupons for FREE items? Thanks!

    • KK

Had my first bad experience with couponing last week while on vacation at Myrtle beach SC. Stopped by the store for a minute to take advantage of the Gillette and Nivea deal and the cashier was so rude. There was one lady that was finishing up her transaction in front of me. I hadnt even pulled up to the cash register yet and he started paging for assistance to cosmetics. There were no other customers and the store was quite empty. He said let me guess multiple transactions. I said no just one, as I am not one to split up transactions. He seemed shocked and proceeded to ask me again to make sure. He made me separate the different products out and lay out the coupons next to them. He wouldnt let me use a Gillette razor coupon for the razor set, just pushed it back at me and said no. Just a real big attitude, I called later and put in a complaint. Walgreens is definitely not my favorite store and I would never shop there if it werent for coupons!

      • Mel_Jolley

It really just sounds like this guy was not very confident about his stores coupon policy. I have found that the cashiers are nicer when they know what they are doing.

I have 3 Colgate Max Fresh coupons @ .75 ea. Am I able to purchase the toothbrush on one transaction w/.75 off, get a register reward for $2 and roll over to the second transaction (then I would have 2.75 off) and then roll over the next $2 register reward and another .75 coupon for the third transaction? Or do I ONLY get 1 register reward in total for 3 separate transactions?

      • Ckjohnson

You must purchase each toothbrush separately in order to get all three Register Rewards. You cannot however, turn around and use these Rewards toward the purchase of another toobrush. They must be used to purchase something else.

    • DB

I have a question about your transactions ideas.  Is there a reason that I cannot do transaction 1 and 2 (left with RR $5 and $3.99) and then go back and do transaction 2 again, use the RR $5, pay 9 cents and now have (RR of $5, $3.99, $3.99)?  Is there a reason this would not work over and over again?

      • Mel_Jolley

The only error in that plan would be that the RR will not print if you use a RR from the same deal. Ex:1. buy razor, get $5 RR  2. buy razor use $5 RR…dont get back $5 RR because its the same deal.

    • Hello, from Ms. Susan, Senior Beauty Advisor, for West Columbia Walgreens. I just want to let my customers no that i have ordered all the sale items for the next  2 weeks.  So we should have enough of the sale items for everyone. And we still have plenty of Dial Body Wash and Tone Body Wash and the Gillette Razors, for this weeks ad in stock. SO COME IN AND BRING YOUR COUPONS.   SEE YA THERE

      • Lestersrabbit

Susan, where in West Columbia is your store?  I live in NE, there are 3 within 10 minutes of my home and they all ran out of the razors 2 weeks ago, as well as everything else.  I'm thinking the deals are worth the drive.

        • Im Senoir Beauty Advisor at the West Columbia Walgreens, 2224 Agusta Road, on the corner of Leaphart Road.   Agusta Road i also Know as #1 Highway. See You There

      • Tatonka

Wow, you sound awesome, you should teach most of the rest of Walgreens the same “customer” concept. Seems like so many of us are hassled and disappointed everywhere.
Way to go, you have the right attitude and I'm sure your sales numbers will soar because of it. Most employees at Wags don't understand that concept. We feel like we're bothering them when we come in.

        • SBA

Okay do people really think that only one Walgreens has this “concept” down?  I mean seriously I can't believe customers would think that we don't order product or that we don't care about the customers with coupons.  More than one store will order enough product to make sure that the customers get what they are coming in for, the problem is…. the warehouse doesn't send the product!!!  If the store above gets their product then maybe they are in an area where the product is readily available, that is not the case for every store or every area.  I know for a fact that I myself order high quantities of products I know will be a big seller, I research coupons over and over on my off time, which I don't have to do, to make sure I am ordering the products that need to be ordered.  But it doesn't matter how much hard work and time I put into this “concept” the product doesn't come because the warehouse doesn't have the product.  I am sorry if some don't get that.

*Note to “Ms. Susan, Senior Beauty Advisor, for West Columbia Walgreens” … The word “know” is not spelled “no”.  I thought it was just a typing error until you have spelled it that way in every message you have posted.  Just a thought.

          • And here u (yes I spelled it wrong on purpose) are again, LEAVE HER ALONE… Just because you are a hateful person doesn't mean you have to lash out at the nice people on here. She is trying help… Get over yourself… GET OFF SS if you can't be nice…

Yes PLEASE call the Wags' down here in Goose Creek, SC and let them know what you do. It just makes too much sense :)
I often wonder where the customer comes, because he certainly doesn't come first anymore, coupons or not. Customer service is a rare commodity and it's refreshing to see it.

      • Casey

maybe you will know….does Walgreens accept FREE coupons printed from the internet? thanks!

      • Kenzieleigh83

Is it true that you can use one of the store coupons on any of the like items purchased? For example. the $2 off jumbo pack of diapers….would it apply to just 1 pack or if I buy 6 packs will I get them all $2 off?  Thanks for your help! I love Walgreens!

    • Ckjohnson

I purchased $16 in food items to get the $5 Register Rewards advertised in the paper for Walgreens this week, Hellmann's, Ragu, etc. I used 3 coupons and 3 Register Rewards from previous purchases to lower my out-of-pocket cost. It did not print out my Register Rewards at the end of the transaction. Does anyone know why? The Register Rewards I used to pay were from the Gillete razors and Colgate toothbrushes. Has anyone else had this problem?
I shopped at the Walgreens in Fort Payne, Al.

    • Couponing J.

I had a very disappointing experience today at Walgreens.  I am so frustrated!  I went in the store with my three kids.  Got to the register to make my weekly transactions.  This week I attempted to purchase 5 Purex, 4, airfreshners, 360 toothbrush, 1 bayer, and a few misc. items that were not part of the big sale.  As soon as the cashier saw my coupons she told me that I would not be able to make multiple transactions.  She said if I wanted I could walk out the store and come back in.  I asked if this was a new policy.  She stated that she was not sure and then she got the manager after I request to get additional information.  The manager stated that it has always been the policy, but since people are clearing the shelves and there are not enough products to go around they are now enforcing the policy.  This makes no sense to me since they get reimbursed for redeemed coupons.  I ended up not getting everything I wanted to purchase after the frustration of having to bring my kids in and out the store.  They were already antsy” and it wasn’t worth it.  Luckily when I went to CVS to take advantage of the sale items there I spotted the Airwick air fresheners on sale for $4.00.  I quickly grabbed the amount that I needed and made a hassle free purchase using my $4 off coupons.  It was so smooth and such a relief.   I didn’t get a chance to look up the policy yet, but has anyone else experienced this or is it just specific stores?

      • If the manager would get out the following weeks ad papers (which they have 3 weeks in advance) and order 50 or more of each of the advertised items, there wouldnt be problems like this, unfortunately some stores just dont have this concept down yet. Im so glad that my manage Mr. Kopans, lets me order for all my couponers, just wish all walgreens would asign someone to order for the whole store weeks in advance of the advertised sales. ITS SO SIMPLE TO DO and makes for happy customers and the cashiers wouldnt have to keep calling the managers to the register to explain why the ads in the paper and the products not in the store.  SEEMS SIMPLE ENOUGH. WALGREENS HAS THE DEMAND BUT NOT THE SUPPLY

        • Sheila0304

I agree. If they know something is going to be on sale, why not order in abundance?????

        • Guest

Ms. Susan is Right on Q. Glad to no you tell it like it is, and I see you didnt accuse  Walgreens Employees. Your just adviseing then how to order.  Keep up the good work and ignore any negative comments.   YOUR RIGHT ON Q

    • Ms. Susan Senior Beauty Advisor Here again, JUST LETTING THE NEW COUPONERS NO THAT, IF YOU USE A DEBIT CARD TO PAY INSTEAD OF CASH YOU WILL GET MORE COUPONS BACK. They keep a record of what you have bought before like baby items and when you get ready to pay, those type coupons will print out if you pay with debit. DONT forget to use your AARP card everytime also and get even more coupons.

    • Tatonka

I bought 6 total, $49 worth of the “Select”, as pictured, Neutrogena products for the $10 RR WYB $30. No RR printed. I asked Manager and he pointed to ad and said that it was because I used $9 worth of Neutro coupons and the ad states “1 coupon printed per offer”. This idiot was trying to tell me because I used 5 Neutro coupons worth $9 instead of the 1 allowed, I didn't get the deal. he also said “it's out of his hands and couldn't do anything about it. I claim it's false advertising and will be contacting corporate at the least.
Best part-I returned all $49 worth, he was going to adjust the Neutro coupons I used but forgot…made $9 anyways!
I'm starting to hate St.Petersburg FL Walgreens on Central/Pasedena Ave. No hassles at CVS. Last visit the same manager told me I couldn't use a coupon on anything that gave me RR. Morons.

    • Jlaleoanard

Anyone know what 4.00 Air Wick Coupon matches the ad? It says  “coupon  in most Sunday papers” for the Air Wick kit.

      • Ed In NC

Smart Source 6/12/11 middle of insert. This sale even includes the reg. $14.99 units.

        • Jlaleoanard

My local store will not take  the 4.00 air wick kit coupon because it says “odor detect” and that kit is not carried at Walgreens. Isnt this coupon the same everywhere. Coupon from Charlotte Observer in NC

    • Manda

Today was my second time shopping at Walgreens with coupons. Both experiences have been wonderful and this second time I asked for rain checks on certain items. The cashier gladly had one made for me and double checked all of my coupons to make sure each one had went through! She also suggested some extra deals I didn't know about and helped me to make sure I had my transactions sorted according to my list and the best deals. Walgreens has converted me!

      • JMT<3JER

That's so nice.  I have only had one serious couponing trip to Wal Green's(I just started) and it wasn't a very pleasant one.  I do blame myself now for most of it because I should have researched a little more, but they also could have been more helpful…it had to be obvious that I was new.

      • beingjennifer

That has been my experience at my Walgreens too. Everyone is SO helpful. I'm extremely grateful!

    • Manda

Walgreens has Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners on for 2.99 B1G1. Since its two items, you can use two $1 off coupons that came in this Sundays papers to get 2 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners for $.99!

      • ireneY

My Qs were $1/2. Are yours different?

    • Cindy

I have never commented before but I would like to say something about the hateful attitudes some are encountering at the different stores.  We have a friend who is the manager at a grocery store that doubles coupons.  We asked him what he thought about all the coupons now being used.  He said he didn't mind the coupons but he did mind the greed he sees when some use them.  He told of one person who came in and got chapstick…50 tubes of chapstick.  The person got them for free.  But no one else did until a new shipment came in.  Then he had to deal with angry customers because they expected to be able to find that product.  I also know one person who “stockpiles” then uses her garage like a store to sell the items she got for free or reduced with her coupons.  Because of abuses like these, I have already seen a decrease in the deals I am able to get either because the sale items are never available, the manufactures are changing the terms of their coupons, or the coupons are no longer being offered in our area.  The amount of food coupons in our area in down to nothing and it's really frustrating.  If you have 4 kids, get four free chapsticks…you have a teenage son and a husband, get two free razors…not 20.  We all suffer in the end when any good thing is abused.

      • Dcastine

        I agree with you Cindy.
However if your friend is a store manager he or she can impose limits on the number of items a customer can purchase in one trip so that we all can benefit from the good deals.

        • beingjennifer

That is so true. Even if he has limited her to 10 chapsticks, that would have given people a chance to get the other 40.

      • Couponing J.

I can understand if they put limits, especially if you are clearing the shelves.  But for a customer like me who was purshasing 4 items.  I find it unfair.

      • JMT<3JER

I pretty much agree with this.  I am trying to save my family money.  I don't want a stockpile that could last for years.  I am fine with buying several bottles of body wash or razors or something that we use ALL the time.  I know it will get used and if I can get it for cheap or free, I need to.  But those extreme couponers are little much to me.  I don't have the extra space to store it and I am not going to buy 50 tubes of anything at one time.  I don't have the time or the patience for clipping that many coupons and want to save myself some embarrassment.

    • When a Walgreens sales paper ad says at the bottom of the item,” Limit 1 coupon printed per offer” this means that if you have more than one,of these items in the transaction, you will only get one coupon printed out. Couponers no what this means but sorry to say that some Walgreens are twisting this to mean the customer can only bye one of these items. NOT TRUE

    • SBA

There are stores more than yours that orders in advance, the problem isn't the ordering, the problem is the warehouse actually sending what you order.  I can order 50 Gillette Body Washes and never get them.  You and your store are not the only ones that have this concept down, you may just be in an area where the stock is available, not so much for some of the rest of us.  I understand the point you are trying to make and I am glad that you get the product you order but please don't make the rest of the stores and employees out to be idiots.

    • She said “some” stores So if it doesn't apply to you then don't lash out at her… Would it be ok for me to assume that your attitude on here makes you one of those unpleasant Employees at Wags, No!!! So don't give her one, Chill Out…

      • Thanks Christy, I didnt mean to offend anyone, Im sorry if I did just trying to help.

    • 1hurricanefan

Heading to Walgreens because I got RRs about to expire.  I admit it is hit or miss and I find some Walgreens much better than others.  I find I get profiled in Walgreens because I spend a lot of time trying to figure out the deals and look for items instead of just asking someone.  I had an associate following me in one store and when she walked away I heard her say in her headset, “no, just a lot of coupons”.  I have found some cashiers and other employees very helpful and wondered what would be a good way to get them recognized.  My local CVS is always exceptional.

    • Sheila0304

where do you get the infant care booklet?

      • JMT<3JER

At our wags, it is at the health and beauty counter.

        • Sheila0304

thanks, i need the diaper coupon!!

          • JMT<3JER

Yes, I went and got one for my friend yesterday.  Did you know that the $2 off coupon will apply to every pack of diapers you get??? We were so excited about that! Baby gift!

            • Sheila0304

my daughter has twins so this is a GREAT deal for her. Haven't tried them yet but i hope that they are decent diapers.

            • Twinmomaaa

I just tried them this week ( i have twins too!). I love them! To me, they are comparable to Huggies diapers. MUCH better than CVS brand. Here's a true testament: this morning, one of my twins had on a WG diaper, the other a Pampers….the one with the Pampers had leaked through her diaper. The WG kept the other'd clothes dry! HTH!

            • Kenzieleigh83

I LOVE them too! The pull up training pant type are awesome for my little girl. Is it really true that you can use one $2 off coupon for every pack of diapers you get? (I am assuming in the same transaction??) Anybody else used 1 coupon that discounted more than 1 pack of diapers? Thanks for the help!

            • Victoria

Yes the Walgreens Store coupon will take off $2 for EACH package of diapers — buy two packs, when the cashier scans the coupon it takes off $4 :) HTH

            • Sheila0304

Does anyone still have the code on the diaper coupon. Can you tell me if it is a WAGS coupon or a mfg. coupon. Every store in my city is out of these books. Seems that some people don't realize that you only need one book!!!!!

      • Leah

my store didnt have any. KNow how else I can get it?

    • JMT<3JER

Okay, I would like to clarify something.  I am completely new to couponing and trying to gather information here and there.  I went on my first coupon trips this past week.  Thursday to CVS which went pretty well and Friday to wags.  Okay, at wags, it was not the most pleasant experience because again, I am new and don't know all the ropes.  I planned to do two seperate transactions for the Gillette deal.  But I did it with the Pro Glide deal with it. And so I changed my items to not include the raozor. But I still didn't get the $10 RR for the $30…her reason was that the $30 has to be AFTER coupons are taken off…is this true for all of you that do this regularly? That doesn't save a lot of that's the case.  Thank you!

      • Orange_Slice3

I did this deal Twice myself while includeing the razor and both times I got 15$ register rewards. My total on gillette products after coupons was not greater than 30$. I then brought a friend who was new to couponing to the register to atempt the same transaction. She however did not get the 15$ to print out at all at the register. I talked to the manager explained the problem. She tried to tell me what your cashier told you and I explained that I had already purchased these items in this sequence twice before. She was confused but agreed to then force the machine to give my friend the RR she deserved. I'm not sure if Wags changed its policy or if they relized that they were giving RR after the coupon totals. But for some this happened.

        • JMT<3JER

That makes no sense…why does it work for some and not others.  I want to take on the Purex and the Sparkle paper towels… I have a $3 off Purex and $1 off Purex and after the RR, this would be an awesome deal, but it's not so awesome if I have to spend $15 after coupons to get the deal because then it would be pointless for me to use my coupons.

      • Arwene5

The associate's reasoning was incorrect. If all other conditions are met, it WILL print out the RR even if your manufactor coupons bring the total below $30. In order for it to print the RR the following conditions must have been met:
Your subtotal for the items on the deal (before tax and coupons) should have been at least $30,
Only one like RR will print per transaction (If you do different deals on the same transaction, both RR will print BUT if for instance you try to do two of the same deal on one transaction, only one of the RR will print.)
The RR will not print if you apply a previous RR of the same brand as payment for part of the transaction (i.e. if you are doing a Gillette deal, don't use a P & G “Proctor and Gamble” RR to help pay for it, since Gillette is a Proctor and Gamble product)

Can you tell us exactly what you put on each transaction and what coupons you used on each? It might help diagnose what went wrong.

    • The West Columbia Walgreens is going to be remodeling in a couple weeks and we just put out over 300 clearance tags for the cosmetic area alone. Its a great time to bring in all your coupons and grab some great deals. So look for the Bright Orange tags.

    • I am sorry if someone already posted this, but I got a $1.50 RR when I purchased Finish dish pacs for 4.99.

    • Linda

The Drano Foaming Pipe Cleaner has 55 cents off pealie in Tallahassee Fl

    • Arwene5

Where do you find the Monthly Register Rewards? My local walgreens had no sign out for the Get $10 RR for the Triple Calcium Applied Nutrition for $10 deal and the associates at two separate Walgreens had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned Monthly Register Rewards. Is it a regional thing?

      • tndiamondjess

I had the same problem with all the vitamins/supplements that were listed as on sale last week… I finally just took my list to a stock person and he found everything I had on my list… although sale prices weren't listed on the item on the aisle, when I got the register everything rang up correctly and the RR's printed off. For some reason my Walgreens just didn't post sale signs.

    • Kaycee'sMom

Seen at Little Rock Walgreens today on the marquee.  We welcome extreme couponers.

    • Kendeb58

The Lysol toilet bowl cleaner was wiped out at Walgreen's, so I checked it while I was at Kroger's.  They had it for $1.44 each.  I bought 2, used $1/2 coupon and paid 1.88 for 2—$0.94 each!
also, on the L'Oreal B1G1 50% off, Walgreen's took off my coupons first, so I got 1/2 off the reduced price.

    • Diana

I had such a bad experience last Saturday at my Walgreen's that I am not going back. They have stressed me for the last time…the “deals” there are just not worth the aggravation.  I did  have $7 in RR I did not want to waste so I sent my DH to spend it.  Question for you all.  He bought Visine drops and used a 2.00Q and I had also sent him with a Q for $6.99 off the eye wipes if you buy Visine drops.  He said when the cashier scanned it it did not do anything, not even beep! The cashier said it would not work and of course the line was backed up so my husband paid and left.  (I told him, now you know what I have been dealing with since starting this last December..LOL!)
That scenario should have worked fine as he still would have had to pay about 2.00 oop with plus tax.
      Thanks for the help!

    • Tracy

Okay, my local WAGs is in northwest TN and I have to say that even though tonight's trip was not the smoothest trip ever, I can't complain and think they handled everything well considering…I asked a stock person to check on 3 items that were cleared from the shelf and he brought me all 3 items 2 each so that was very nice…At the register, there was an issue with a coupon that would not cover the cost of the product because their price was more than the coupons redeemable value…that's alright, but I asked him to remove that product and the refills for it from my order…He did, without complaining…Some of my coupons didn't want to scan, so he called the asst manager…He put them in manually, no complaints…My daughter checked out at the next register at the same time…she had the same proble with the coupon not working for that particular item so she had her cashier remove those items and he did not complain…He accidently, in the confusion, did not give her credit for a $4.00 coupon and gave it back to her thinking it was for the product he removed…I caught it when we got to our vehicle…I went back in with her (she's new to couponing) and spoke to th cashier about it…When he saw his error, he called the asst manager back and he gave me a refund for the coupon…At this point, he was a little frustrated as I had taken up quite a bit of his time by now and it showed, but he did his job and did not get ugly with me…I thanked him twice and apologized for taking up so much of his time…It was understandable that he was frustrated…Heck, I was too lol…All in all, I can't complain at all…I try to remember that he's probably been hit with atleast 50 couponers today and probably 30 of them had an issue and its entirely possible that atleast half of those were rude or snotty to him in some way…Okay, I'm done now haha…

    • Jlaleoanard

Is the 4.00 Air Wick coupon being accepted at Walgreens. Mine  says “odor detect” and I was told the odor detect kit isn't sold at Walgreen's. I am puzzled because the ad clearly  -4.00 “less coupon found in most Sunday papers” but as far as I know this is the only  4.00 Air wick coupon out that isn't expired. I was denied the 4.00 coupon???

      • Djones

        I used mine at Walgreens.

      • JennH.

I also used mine x2 at walgreens!

    • girlfreind

Don”t ask me why but when I ring up in the cosmetic dept. I always get all my register rewards but a freind of mine rang up the same thing at the front register and did not get hers I know it should not be this waybut when you think of it most products come from the cosmetic dept.Just like you get differant catalina coupons when you pay in cash, debit, or credit.

      • Walgreens Goddess

Thats because cosmetics has a certain quota that they have to meet, so if you ring up in cosmetics, you get better offers.

      • Lyndsey

I went to Walgreens in Hendersonville, TN. My friend was visiting me from out of town so she was with my. The cosmetic clerk (fyi- I have used this store for approx ten years AND have had this clerk ring me up before) totally embarrassed  and humiliiated me. I purchased several of the same item that were on the clearance shelf that had an orange sticker on it. When scanned, it scanned the normal price not the reduced price. She not only questioned me as to where I found the item but stood right there trying to pick off the stickers to see if I had placed them on there. Next time she wants to ring me up I am going to give her a piece of my mind as I was so upset she did that especially with my friend right there.  She thought we were crooks. If I had not misplaced my receipt, I would have contacted their customer service.

    • Jenedge25

If I want to buy more than one item that produces register rewards, will I get more than one register reward in the same transaction or will I need to do multiple transactions??

      • JennH.

You have to do seperate transactions only if you are buying multiples of the same item that are giving away register rewards. Otherwise as long as the items are different you will get your register rewards.

      • Walgreens Goddess

You need to do seperate transactions. If you don't, then  the register rewards will not print for the extra multiple items.

    • MelC

Just went to walgreens in southeast, VA and the got 6 bags of chex mix for 30 cents.  The traditional is on sale for .50 and sour cream and onion is on sale for .60.  with the $1.00 off 2 from a few weeks ago it makes it a great deal !!!!

    • Cris

Walgreens is the worst! I went to 2 different ones and they told me that I could not use a RR and a manufacturers coupon.  Also, the RR reward must not exceed the highest priced item even if I use 1 RR and pick up two items that are more than the total value of the RR.  I have $25 worth or RR and cannot use them for a thing this week since everything that I would buy is out.

      • Walgreens Goddess

Thw trick with Walgreens is that you can only use one item per coupon . For example lets say that you bought 3 bottles of shampoo and after you used three coupons, the total comes out to 5.99 and you have a register reward for 5.00 , you need to buy another item in order to use the register reward. So if you buy a candy bar for 39 cents, you can use your register reward. You are able to mix RR with Manufature coupons, you just have to have an extra item to cover it. It can be any item .

        • Jasont3574

2 weeks ago we got into a disagreement with a walgreens employee b /c she said that having a filler item was coupon fraud…we had a copy of the coupon policy and it didnt state that…the employee running the other register was telling people that they needed a filler….i dont understand the attitudes from certain employees  ..it s not like its coming out of their pocket and they are getting reimbursed for the coupons from the company

        • Kriket01

Thanks for the tip.  I tried that with some .25 cents cookies and the cashier and the manager said that the price was too low and that the only way I could buy them with the RR is if I had a .25 cents RR, not the $2 ones I had.  It worked in the past but not last week or this week.  I am through with them.  CVS and Riteaid are much better.  I just started couponing a few months now and find that Walgreens system is very complicated or sophisticated.

    • I went to Walgreens for the first time today and I think I did OK, but I went to get the Bayer and the Blistex and they were out. The manager told me they do not give Rain Checks on items that you get RR's for. Is this true, or do I have another stupid store that everyone keeps complaining about?

      • Dianne L

It is true! Go get the Bayer deals at Rite Aid and or CVS tomorrow. If they are out, they will give rain checks. CVS will give you ECBs when the product comes in, and Rite Aid will give you a rain check and deduct the UPs “price”, meaning those are both great deals. RA and CVS are so much more customer friendly than Walgreens!

    • Angeleyes1168

After months of Publix couponing, I finally felt ready for a trip to Walgreens and CVS this week. What a diaster! CVS was ok except that they were out of several items which messed up the scenarios I had carefully planned and they would not let me use both of the 2 free candy bar coupons either! But Walgrens was a mess! Several of my RR did not print and when I asked the manager for help he informed me that because of people like me ( I was only buying ONE of each deal) Walgreens was redoing their entire couponing policy to take effect as early as July.  If I used even one RR or a manufactors coupon for a product on the transaction then whatever RR I was suppose to earn would not print because it was a manufacters coupon and cancelled the other RR out! This seems crazy to me from everything I have read about couponing including their policies. I showed him an example from his own ad encouraging the use of a RR, and a Sunday flyer coupon with a deal of getting an air freshener from 9.99 to .99. He said again it was because of people like me! I was careful to make sure that I had filler items as needed and followed everything to a “T”. After I returned several products and demanded one of the RR's refunded as well, I left the store exhausted! I will not be returning any time soon.

    • Ed In NC

Very disappointed with Walgreens. The 2 stores in our town (High Point, NC) do not have the Blistex or the Wal-fex and did not get any this week. But they have PLENTY of the larger size Wal-fex. (Bait and switch, as someone suggested).

    • Ed In NC

Walgreens is building a THIRD store on Main street in this town, so they must be doing well. But after 3 trips to each of their stores since Sunday, I give up. We switched all prescriptions to Rite-Aid to avoid waiting an hour for a prescription that was supposed to be ready. Good luck Walgreens, treating people the way you do. No wonder all their long-time employees are gone.

      • Diana

Ed, right there with you!  I returned an item they would not let my DH use a valid coupon for and told the day manager about the aggravation I have had over the months.  When I went to leave she said, “Have a good day and come back to see us!”  I politely replied, “No thanks, I'll do my shopping else where where they appreciate their customers and don't give them such a hard time.”  CVS has my business now.  No “deal” is worth the major aggravation I have experienced while using coupons at Walgreen's.  I am still saving…my  blood pressure and my sanity…LOL!

    • Pact1997

I am in Montgomery AL.  I went to a Walgreens where my transaction fell apart.  I had enough items for my coupons (one transaction) but the register put me in the negative on my purchase!  I added some candy bars and me negative got worse!  The manager had never seen this happen before and said their registers were not suppose to go negative so he voided my transaction and rang up small transactions.  By doing this I could not use all my RR and ended up over spending by $2.00   When I got home I went through the receipts and located the problem:  my Colgate 360 rang up at $1.29!!  I used my $1 Q and got $2RR, so it was a money maker.  Just might go to a different Wags tomorrow.

      • ireneY

Wow, that's a great find! Were you able to repeat at another store?

    • Allybb

I'm done with Walgreens myself.  They were completely out of several items I wanted to purchase and had only one purex detergent in the entire store.  When I got home I realized that the lady rang up the purex twice, and rang up the right guard three times instead of two.

    • Sheila0304

Can anyone tell me what other coupons are in the infant care booklet besidesthe walgreens diaper coupon. It seems that EVERY store in Jacksonville, FL are out of these books.  A manager told me that if i knew what other coupons were in the book they may be able to contact the mfg and get some more. If anyone has one of these books, could you give me the barcode on the one for the diapers?  Thanks a bunch.

Just got back from Walgreens & Walmart.  The Lysol No touch Handsoap dispenser is $7.95 at Walmart.  With the $3 coupon, this makes it a better deal than Walgreens!
