      • Jamie Severance

I couldn’t figure it out either.

        • Lynn

I hope someone can answer. I’d like to try this.

          • The Alli coupon used to be available for printing after you registered and went through the questionnaire. I’m not sure if that is still valid advice or not, but perhaps try that.

            • Shon

I went thru the registration process for the Alli and still no coupon. Maybe its no longer available?

    • Thanks you for the “Select All” button. That saved me. My home computer is a dog… and my laptop is windows 7, so it won’t print directly to my printer. It was taking me 30 minutes to check all individually…
      thank you thank you!!!!

    • Leslie

Had a rough time of it at WAGS today witht the Nyquil deal. It would not print the rewards. The cashier was really rude but the manager was very nice. I did use cupons with the pampers and still got the RR so I don’t think it was because of cupons. I have also had a hard time redeeming RR in the next transaction. Sometimes they will not accept them. I can’t seem to figure out why.

      • Leslie

BTW, this was the WAGS in Summerville on Orangeburg and Central.

        • Heather

I have had the same prob with WG’s with the RR not wanting to work with the next trans. I was in Moncks Corner and the cashier was very nice & worked with me. i am having a hard time understanding WG’s…

        • becky

I’ve had problems there as well. The Wags on Main Street sometimes works better for me. The late crew is especially nice!

    • scott

purchased 5 day quil today….used the 5- 1.50 off coupons paid the 18.00, got the 10.00 rr, not thinking……bought 5 more and the filler item….used 5 – 1.50 coupons and the 10.00 rr…realized at that moment that i would not get another 10.00 rr…….but, low and behold…out came another 10.00 rr…..went and did this 4 more times and each time another 10.00 rr popped out, even though i was ysing it for the same product!!!!….scott

      • Sean

There is also a coupon for free Puffs product wyb 2 Vicks products in the 12/27 P&G insert to sweeten the deal.

      • Yvette

Whattaya gonna do with that much DayQuil?

        • Rebekah

          That’s what i was wondering too…

    • Leslie

I just went to do the free tide deal but they said i could not get the free tide because i used coupons any one else have this problem?

      • Lisa

I had the same problem. However, the manager came over and did an override because she wasn’t sure if it was the coupons or the RR coupons I used that kept it from printing.

      • Lisa Williams

I tried to do the Tide deal as well and was told that it wouldn’t print the coupon because the total I paid was less than $30. The manager was not willing to help, and a cashier was quite rude. She said this whole couponing thing was getting out of hand and that she didn’t think that any place would honor a deal that way. I told her that it worked great at CVS all the time, and she said, “Good for them.” I don’t think I will shop at Walgreen’s anymore. It is not worth the hassle.

        • Leslie

i asked for a manager also the cashier said that she thought i should get it but the manager said “NO” our policy is after coupons. I agree with you completely i don’t think i’ll be going back either. I go to CVS and nobody every hassles me.

        • Jill Gardner

Lisa…you really should report them to corporate. “This coupon thing is getting out of hand”…. I don’t think I could have contained myself. If we are going to be treated like criminals when we use coupons, why do manufacturers print them and the stores, too? what an idiot!

      • Susan

Same here. I asked a manager and he told me that my total after coupons wasn’t $30. No where in the ad does it say “after coupons”. A call to corporate is the next step. They should be more clear in their advertisements. Even though, with the MIR, it’s still a money maker so I can’t complain too much. Hope there’s no problems with the MIR.

      • Becky

I had the same problem at a Walgreen’s in the Greenville area. I actually had over $40.00 in Proctor and Gamble products (the ones that were listed in the ad) before coupons, but had less than $30.00 after coupons. My tide coupon did not print and the manager would not do anything about it. I explained that the ad did not say anywhere that the total had to be $30.00 after all coupons, it just stated buy $30.00 in products (which I did). Rudely told me there was nothing they could do about it.

Then I tried to use a raincheck I had to buy 2 Quench body lotions and get 2 in-shower lotions free. I planned to send the receipt off to Olay to get a rebate for the purchase price of the two lotions. Instead of ringing the lotion up at $7.99 and the shower lotion free as the rain-check said, they insisted that the only way they could do it was to ring it up as $4.00 for each lotion and $4.00 for each shower lotion, which would mean I would only get back $8.00 for the two lotions instead of the full price like I should be able to get. I ended up telling them to just void that transaction and give me my rain-check back. Then I drove to the Easley store and the cashier there rang the two lotions up as $7.99 each and the two shower lotions as free. At any rate, by the time I finally got back home, I had wasted a lot of time, a lot of gas, and had run my blood pressure up, I’m sure, and now I am, yet again, totally frustrated with Walgreens. I think I’m going to call corporate and complain about all this. Their ads should state the actual terms of the deal. At any rate, I never have this type of problem with my CVS in Powdersville and the manager will go out of his way to make the coupons and extra bucks work like they should. I don’t think I will be shopping at Walgreen’s anymore. It is just simply not worth all the headaches.

      • amy s.

I had the same problem also. Just got home and very frustrated. I very rarely go to WAGS b/c it’s too much hassle, but I thought this deal sounded sweet..so I wanted to give them a try. I’ll continue sticking with CVS and Rite Aid since they never give me a hard time and cheer me on.

Jenny, thank you SOOO much for all your hard work. You have reformed me in to a serious couponer!

For the sake of other shoppers, will you revise your scenario above and remove the free tide or put a disclaimer that it probably won’t work, but that you can try it. It’s still a pretty good deal with the coupons and the mail in Olay rebate. The Tide was just icing on the cake. Thanks!

      • sandy

I tried to tide deal also and was told my total had to b over 30 after coupons:(

        • Sam

Mine did not print out either. The manager (who was rude) did not say anything to me about it being a coupon issue, rather she gave me a form to fill out and send in with my receipt to get the coupon for the Tide mailed to me. The bummer is that I need the receipt for the Olay Rebate. What a pain!
Usually my wags is pretty easy going…something about the Tide deal has them in an ugly state of mind. Too much holiday junk food I guess:-)

      • cyndi

Yes, my first transaction did not print my tide coupon, the second transaction did though!! And I used coupons on both transactions. I paid oop 13 something on the second transaction but before coupons it was 35 something. and it printed my rr for tide. the first transaction did not though, however a manager was called over and she printed one for me! She was super nice and so was the cashier. It does not state before coupons! The problem seems to be with the olay body washes they are not ringing up as part of the pg deal, the quench lotion is, but not the body washes. So if you are getting the body washes that could be the problem. She said it was the newer olay washes that were not working. Hope this helps!!

    • Melanie

I was wondering if anyone tried the P&G for free Tide deal with any success? I spent over $30 on the products, didn’t get the Tide coupon and they wouldn’t let me use the free Olay wash coupons. Here’s what I purchased, maybe I did something wrong? —

Olay Quench – Body Lotion 7.99
Olay Quench – Body Lotion 7.99
Olay Quench – In Shower Body Lotion 3.34 (I may has mistook this for wash)
Olay Quench – In Shower Body Lotion 3.33
      Always Infinity 36 ct – 6.99
      Always Infinity 18 ct. – 5.29

I used the coupons Jenny has listed above for the Tide deal. The cashier would not take the free body wash ones because they did not say body wash on them. Is this there I went wrong? Their “in shower body lotion” was in the shower wash section and was on sale at the stated price so I thought this was the right product.

After coupons, my total was 28.38 and my Tide coupon did not print.

Just wondering where I went wrong? Well, at least I’m gonna smell good and be very moisturized! lol

      • Bonnie

Same here. My cashier wouldn’t let me use the free lotion coupon, said it was for the wrong size. It doesn’t specify a size on it, but the picture shows a larger one. I got her to scan it anyway, just to see, but it beeped and she wouldn’t force it through. Then I didn’t get the Tide coupon, but after the manager was called, she studied it for a long time, realized I had my $30, and rang my Tide up and overrode it as zero. Still not the sweet deal I had hoped for, but not too bad.

        • Anne

Mine all beeped with the size pictured but I think it’s just because they had to write in the amount.. I could be wrong though

          • van

..will of course its going to beep.. it beeps asking the cashier to ENTER the price of the FREE item,, not because it’s for the wrong item, — all that it is asking for is for the cashier to input the price of the FREE product. – so yes you are right.

      • not sure where you are located…I am in S GA and we had the body wash free with lotion purchase a few weeks ago…my in-shower lotion rang up as lotion not bodywash…turns out the reason my coupons weren’t going through is because I had to get more “free” lotion. I honestly dont remember the exact coupons I had but I know I had a $3 off lotion, their sale was buy the lotion get the in-shower free and I had a buy body wash ($2.99) get a free lotion ($7.99). I walked out with 2 in-shower lotions, 2 body wash and 4 large quench lotions and on the same transaction 4 nivea lip, 2 folgers, 2 bags of m&m’s, goody hairbands, and some nivea lotion and I paid $6.58…truely my BEST WAGS transaction!!! I saved $80. and yes I did realize afterwards that I got shorted by 2 in-shower lotions (b/c of their sale…oh well…they weren’t real happy with me after that transaction) I am a MUCH bigger CVS fan than WAGS…

      • I not only had luck with the Tide coupon printing… I found a nice Walgreens. I think I’m more excited about that!! I bought 2 Olay Quench Body lotions 2 Olay Regenerist Cleansers 1 Crest toothpaste
Used 2 coupons for the body lotion, 2 coupons for the cleansers, 1 coupon for the toothpaste. The tide coupon printed just like magic! They did not know how to do the rebate receipt but printed me a ‘electronic journal report’ which shows what I purchased. Guess I’ll see if Olay will take it for the rebate. My total was under $30.00 after all my coupons and it still printed for me. The nice walgreens is the new one out by Sandhills. There is also a nice CVS and soon to be Rite Aid there as well. Worth the drive to be treated nice. Hope that helps!

    • Val

I have a coupon for a free tampax pearl and then the coupon for b1G1, can I use both of them and get two boxes for free?

    • Terra

No go on the free tide deal for me either. Manager told me the two free lotions didn’t count. He said, ” you didn’t pay for them.” I’m frustrated. Manager said,” sorry, write corporate.”. I won’t go back if it the deal depends on a specific amount to get something. The RR are feckless at best. Must say the cashier was nice although quite uncomfortable. Ill frequent CVS from here on out. I always have problems with WG.

    • I had difficulties with the Tide deal as well but the Manager at my store was great about it. What he ended up doing was he scanned the bottle of Tide that the coupon would have printed out for and put that amount onto a gift card. So I got a gift card for $9.62. (cost of the Tide with tax included!) And he even told me that I can use that for anything, So it worked out even better for me!
I guess that he did not even have to do that but I am very thankful that he did!

      • Becky

You’re lucky you apparently got a good manager. The manager at my store wouldn’t do anything about it. Glad it worked out for someone!

      • michelle in tx

in the past, i had problems getting the rr and the mgr did the same thing…gave me the $5 the system should have printed out on a gift card. on a subsequent visit, there was another issue and the mgr said that she couldn’t do anything about it. i told her the other mgr had given me the rr on a gift card. she went ahead and did it. if she hadn’t, i was prepared to return my items and request my qs back.

today i was kind of apprehensive about trying the tide deal, but checked my supplies out and really didn’t need to work that one. i did the pepto deal, the p&g downy/cascade/febreeze deal and the nyquil/vicks/ (w/ 2 free puffs coupons). the cashier rang up my deals separately. then i used the 2 $10 rr to get: 2 honey nut cheerios, 1 gl milk, 2 honeys, hershey yorks pcs, hershey’s dark chocolate pcs, 3 yardley lavender soaps, 9pk angel soft tp and bag of cotton balls for 3.34. then i used my $5 rr from the cascade/febreeze and the $2 rr from the cereal and milk to buy 100 + 25 (bonus) advil and 2 pb m&ms…for .37

    • Here is something I was thinking about for the Tide deal. Would it work better if we asked the clerks to hit the subtotal button before they scanned the coupons? Or maybe held on to them till after they hit the subtotal button to hand them over?
      Just an idea.
Also something to think about is if the Mangers or clerks won’t help you you can always ask for a full refund. You do not have to take the products home if you are unhappy with the deal.
      Hope this helps.

      • Becky

I’m pretty sure they did hit the subtotal button on mine before they started taking off coupons, because I saw a total of $40 something, and this apparently makes no difference; at least it didn’t at my store.

    • Tina M

I think there is a problem with the lotion not being recognized as part of the deal. My daughtere had a gift card and used it to buy paper towels, Pantene, and Charmin. Her Tide coupon printed without a problem. I bought Always products, Tampax, and Olay lotion and my coupon didn’t print. The cashier even tried ringing up the items without a coupon (which totaled well over $30.00) and it still didn’t print. The manager looked at my receipt and tried to figure out the problem, but thought it wouldn’t print because my final cost was less than $30.00. He then tried ringing up the items without a coupon and still no Tide coupon printed. He was really nice and got a pack of paper towels, rang them up 5 times and a coupon printed for me. It was extremely frustrating for me and everyone involved!

      • Anne

Tina I agree, I think it was actually the body wash that didn’t count as part of promo because it said lotion olay cleansing product. I asked before because it made me think the body wash wouldn’t register and the mang said she thought it would…well it didn’t of course so she gave me a raincheck for free tide…
I understood the tide deal problem , but my 4RR didn’t print for sunkist deal either and the cash said it was because I used RR which wasn’t true because that one was from hershey candy last week. I hate when they make up a reason. manager said maybe because it was diet but that didn’t make sense because it rang up as sale, oh well I think this is my 3rd time saying it’s CVS for me…much easier, fewer errors, and nicer employees–there is no rhyme or reason at walgreens

        • you got it no rhyme or reason at wags…just whatever they can make up at the time…or at least at my store that’s how it seems…I was told by the mgr that as long as I didn’t use RR on the same items I could do multiple transactions with no problem…well that has yet to happen…on a recent trip I was told that would be the last time I could do multiple transactions…it isn’t the customers fault that their system never seems to print RR as it is supposed to even if you have the items that are in the ad as pictured…UUUHHH!! You would think it really wouldn’t matter if it takes 15 minutes to do 5 transactions for 1 person…that is 15 mintues of sales for Wags…sorry I am just really aggrevated with WAGS!!!

          • Anne

jill I agree it’s very inconsentent and that’s what bothers me. I don’t mind the rules/regulations like you can’t use it on a product you bought it’s all the other times they don’t print or allow you to do something and it seems like the make up a reason, oh well at least we are saving money in the end :)

          • Samantha White

I agree about the hassle at WAGS.

Out of stock on sale items when the store first opens on the day a sale begins!

            Past expiration date food!

Confusing – bait and switch RR system and sales.

            Rude Cashiers!

The cashiers make up rules as they go along. One cashier refuses to honor a coupon unless the product exactly matches the “picture on the coupon”. Example – trash bags – the coupon could say 10 to 20 count, but if the picture shows only a 10 count product and I want to buy a 20 count, she’ll refuse it. It’s as if she can’t read!

She refuses to accept WAGS coupon and manufacturers coupons together and is always pushing me to buy candy at the register so she’ll get some kind of points. She does a lot of eye rolling and sighs when she see’s me come into the store.

WAGS needs to get their act straight, or CVS will eat their lunch!

    • Nancy

If you do the pepto bismol deal, the insta cool chewable ones have a $1.00 Walgreens coupon. That gives you an additional $3.00 off.

    • Tina M

I forgot to mention that there is a $1.00 off coupon for the Pepto Bismol 30 count instacool tablets in the Walgreens Healthy Saving booklet that expires 12/31. It takes $3.00 off the total purchase of 3 which makes them $0.16 each with the 10 RR and 3 $0.50 P&G Qs.

      • Tina M

Nancy types faster than me! :)

      • my wags wont allow the booklet coupons to take off more than once…like if i have 3 items and there is a $1 booklet coupon it only takes off $1 not $3…has anyone else had this trouble…it really messes up my scenarios???

    • Val

    • Anne

Tide deal–I know I posted this above but if you read the exact wording in the add it does not cover body wash, I’m pretty sure that’s the problem
Olay cleansing skin care or lotion It shows a pic of the lotion and a box of skin cleaning care–which really is different than the bodywash

    • mona

      Hi guys,

just got back from my walgreens trip:

      i bought

      3 olay quench lotion $7.99 each – $23.97
1 olay quench lotion (smaller one) – $5.49 ( i dont know if this counts for the spend $30 get free tide RR deal so i bought other stuff which did qualify)
      1 pantene large size $5.99
      1 dawn $0.99
      =$36.44 + $3.37 tax
-$6 free lotion wyb free lotion (got it from one of my mags)
-$6 free lotion wyb free lotion (got it from one of my mags)
-$3 off quench lotion (got it from one of my mags)
-$3 off quench lotion (got it from one of my mags)
      -$2 pantene from vocalpoint
=$19.81 ( i added some fillers used 2 $10 RR from pepto bismo deal)

free tide coupon did not print.

manager said it’s because i used rr’s and coupons. so i asked him if he could ring up again w/o RRs. he did it. no tide coupon. voided trans.

he ring up again w/o any coupons whatsoever! so i paid $45 something… still no tide coupon. voided transaction.

he rang it in another machine using all my coupons and rr’s. still no tide coupon. this time he did not voided my trans.

he decided to ring up for the last time without any coupons or rr’s, still no tide coupon. so he just asked me to come back for the free tide because he had to ask the manager. but im still okay with that because i was able to use those q’s before they expire. and after all is said and done… my total cost is: $19 something… minus the rebate of free olay lotion ($15.98) = about $3 plus i will get a free tide hopefully when i come back! weee!!! =)

      • Carrie

You deserve it after all of that! wow

    • D

so.. since the lotion didn’t work, can someone type out their scenario that worked and how much they paid? Thanks!!

      • Anne

LOtion works it says lotion and the ad and pictures it, the body wash is what is not pictured in the ad, still not sure if it’s before coupons or after, anybody find out

      • mary

My free tide coupon did print – and I used RR’s and coupons:

        Charmin x 2 (each w/a coupon)
        Gillette deoderant x 3 (each w/a coupon)
Dawn dish detergent x 4 (each w/a coupon)
        Secret deoderant x 2 (each w/a coupon)

        Total before q’s – around 32.00
        Total after q’s – 20.39 – then used 5 RR

Free tide coupon printed and I redeemed it right then

    • van

Unfortunately I think the Tide deal is broken.. It SHOULD be $30 AFTER coupons,,,, Just think about it this way,, they/WALGREENS is asking us to spend $30 inorder to get the coupon for the TIDE, it SHOULDN’T matter how that $30 was paid to them,, the coupon should still print unless the deal is broken. Regardless if we pay them with coupons or cash,,they/Walgreens will get that full $30 in the end.

&&&&&for those who said that the lotion coupon beeped..will of course its going to beep.. it beeps asking the cashier to ENTER the price of the FREE item,, not because it’s for the wrong item, — all that it is asking for is for the cashier to input the price of the FREE product.

      • van

wow,, i guess I need to read before I submit.. I meant to say BEFORE coupons, not after. sorry.

    • Karen

Can anyone give me information about the MIR? I don’t see that anywhere and I would like to check it out.

    • Anne

Ok so I have to apoligize, for when I said “it says in the ad lotion” It said that my ad but I was talking to my friend in WV and she said are you sure the lotion is included? She said it wasn’t in her ad, so I looked, the ads vary for this deal by region. Her’s included the regenerist skin care only. That could be some of the problem people are experencing.

    • Melinda

Having trouble printing coupons. I use a Mas with Firefox and each time I try to print I get a message stating that I have never installed the coupon printer. I have installed the printer several time. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the printer each time and that still does not guarantee that it will print the coupons. Any ideas????

    • Becky

Anyone have any success with talking to corporate about the Tide coupon not printing? I talked to someone there today and she said the same thing they told me at the store—that the total had to be $30.00 after the coupons. I told her that the ad did not state that and she said that was always their policy. I then told her that the coupons were apparently printing at at least one store when coupons and RR were used and the total came down below $30.00 and she said they shouldn’t be printing because that’s not their policy and “they just got lucky”. I reiterated that the ad should state that it must be $30.00 after coupons and if it stated that I wouldn’t have a problem with it. I told her I was considering not ever shopping at Walgreen’s again because it just was not worth the hassle and then she said she would send it to someone over her to look at it and she what they could do. They are supposed to call me back within two days and I’ll let you know the outcome.

      • Susan

I sent a comment to corporate through their website on Dec. 26 right after I got home without getting my Tide coupon. Just got a call from the store manager (she said the complainant had be forwarded to her). She agreed with me that it shouldn’t matter if you use coupons or not as long as the subtotal for the Tide deal was more than $30. She offered to give me a free bottle of Tide if I returned to the store today. On my way soon!

        • Becky

The store manager called me back also and said I really wasn’t supposed to get a coupon for the Tide because they should not print if the total went under $30.00 after coupons. But he said since it was confusing, he would give me a free bottle of tide if I came back by. Of course, this was the Walgreens way across town, so I just got a chance to go today and they did give me the free Tide, but I wasted a lot of gas making two trips over there!

    • Val

Has anyone found a Q for Alli?

    • Millie

I had both experiences — used coupons and a RR which brought the total under $30 and the Tide coupon didn’t print. Voided that, and then tried the deal again with no coupons or RRs (total $31 before tax) and the Tide coupon still didn’t print. The manager studied it, said I had met the qualifications. She solved it by bringing my receipt back up and rescanning the Charmin on top of the old amount (total $35 before tax). The coupon then printed immediately. Made me wonder if the Walgreens system is not adding up amounts correctly internally. Naturally, this experience has not endeared me to Walgreens. Long live CVS and Rite Aid!!!

      • Becky

CVS and Rite Aid are so much easier to deal with!

    • chrissy

The manager at my WALG told me that they do not take internet coupons anymore and do not accept manufacturer coupons that have others stores names on them (publix.) Is this something new they have started?

      • carla

I am about to go do my Walgreen’s run – I have both kind of coupons so I’ll let you know!

      • Carla

I didn’t have any problems at Walgreens tonight with any of my internet coupons! One even had the target sign on it – but it did say manufacturers coupon on it. I did have trouble at Publix, but at walgreens everything worked well!

    • avenlee

Walgreens is running the Bayer/Contour meter 5.00RR promotion through January. And if you get the Bayer and Contour meter together, it is reported to also trigger the 3.00 RR wyb 2 bayer products (through Jan.) So, this should produce 13.00 RR’s total!

      • Maehing O

I did this deal today, and it worked like a charm.. bought the bayer meter in the blue box, and the bayer meter in the green box, used 2 coupons, paid 2.10 in tax, got back 2- $5 RR and a $3 RR….

I’m in Summerville, SC….. gonna roll them for the Olay Rebate!

        Happy Shopping everyone!

      • Ginger

Is this supposed to work through the END of January? I did mine tonight and got the 2 @ 5$ RRs, but not the 3$ RR.

    • any scenario that worked? Any luck finding the Alli coupon?

    • TammynSC

Is anyone else having a problem printing the shopping list? I can’t get mine to work. :( I select ‘Create List’ and it just goes to a blank page. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

      • justoleme

I have been having a problem getting the list to print too(Bi-lo too). States the link is broken.

    • Amy Cole

I’m dreding going to WAGS now, especially with all the problems people are having with their q’s. I always have problems there any way. We ALL should let corportate know the poor experiences we have. I’m in Tennessee and even my sister in Florida has problems too. Sounds like corporate needs to do some training and/or get their act straight.

      • Becky

        Totally agree.

    • Lisa Williams

Concerning the rebate on the Olay lotion, does anyone know if you can still get the rebate on that lotion if you used the coupon that got the lotion for free? That somehow doesn’t seem right, and I wasn’t sure if I should even mail it in.

      • Becky

I thought the same thing you did, Lisa, that surely they wouldn’t refund the purchase price of the lotion if you had used a coupon and got it free already. So I opted not to try that, but bought two more bottles and just paid full price for them and sent that receipt off for the rebate. That way, I am getting three free bottles of lotion; I’m just not making an additional profit on it. I have no idea what they would actually do if you mailed in the receipt where you used the coupon, but would love to hear if they do honor it.

    • redmuskan

This guy at walgreen bought 4 bayer meters right in front of me, while i was trying to ask where they were located, since i could not find them. When I figured out where they were and going to get them, he was buying 4 more. i.e. he had bought all of them. I requested him if he could let me buy two and he said no. Can you believe that? I was so frustrated and I had to share that with someone. Thank you guys for listening.

      • Maehing O

You should have politely said that the coupon didn’t expire for a while, and could you please have two so you could do the deal. I have made comments (nicely) to fellow couponers when shelves are scarce. It works…. there’s pleanty to go around!

I did this deal, but only once, and my WAGS had quite a few of them.

I used the RR’s on Nicorette Gum (110 pcs packs) that were on clearance fro 12.99, paired with $10 off coupon for 2.99 to give to my best friends who said that they were quitting this year!

See Laura and Roxann…. you can QUIT smoking on COUPONS!

Happ New Year to you all, and Happy Shopping!

        • ashley

I understand that pretty much sucked you didn’t get what you came for, but it wouldn’t have bothered me so much. He would’ve gotten there before me, so first is first. It ticks me off more having to deal with rude employees or “coupon haters”. I would’ve just gone and tried a different Walgreens.

Actually, it pisses me off when the other day I’m standing in line at the cosmetic counter to get a price check and the store manager walks off with the customer in front of me to help her with something. I stand there waiting for 4 minutes, and he never comes back. Finally, I start walking around kind of looking for him and he sees me down the aisle and then turns and goes to the back. Ugh!

I used to be a retail assistant manager for 4 years and NEVER treated my customers all these crazy ways! That must be why my customers would gush over how helpful I was. I certainly understand now that I’m a couponer. We have so much going on in our lives, and we want/need a pleasant shopping experience, but there’s just so much crap you run in to. It is so refreshing to get good customer service.

    • Sarah H

Here is my scenario. It DID produce a Tide coupon. I made sure to get plenty of product since it seems this is a “finicky” promotion.

      Tampax- 6.99
      2 Quench- 15.98
      2 Gillete BW- 6.67
      2 Crest- 5
      2 Gillette Deo- 7.98
      TOTAL= 42.62
Plus- 10.58 for Olay BW and Tampax

Grand Total – 53.20 plus tax and filler item

      Coupons Used:
      B1G1 Tampax
      Free Quench wyb BW
2 Gillette Free BW wyb Deo
      2 1 off Crest
      2 1 off Olay
      2 1 off Gillette Deo
      10 RR

Final Total OOP 16.26 plus tax
and I will send in for the Quench Rebate.

Note: All of my coupons come out of the Sunday paper.

Good luck- hope this helps someone else!!!

      • Becky

The problem with the deal scenario that Jenny set up is that the b1g1 q was buy a quench lotion get a BODY WASH free. The ad does not include it in the special deal. So what has been happening is that people were using that scenario but the total BEFORE coupons for the items was under $30 (since it was not counting the body wash toward the deal). So no Tide coupon.

I finally figured it out and got 2 always, 4 gillette items (there were b1g1 Q’s for gillette in one of the P&G inserts, but it expired 12/31). Paid about $16 w/o using RR’s and still got the Tide coupon. Jenny does an excellent job with scenarios but sometimes you have to take the time to figure it out yourself… Was just one of those times.

    • Denise

I went to the Goose Creek, SC Walgreens this morning and they had Suave Men’s 2 in 1 marked for clearance price of 1.39 but it rang up for only .62 and I had coupon for .50 off, only .12!!!

    • Dipti

I live in KY and there is not any of the revlon coupons this month or last month that you talked about.

I too plan to quit shopping at Walgreens. I ALWAYS have problems there. Sometimes I get nice cashiers & managers who just can’t do anything and sometimes rude ones that don’t care but either way, I have walked out unhappy so many times. Last week my RR didn’t print for the Zooth toothbrushes and I really wanted the Tide deal but don’t think I will bother. I have $10 in RR I think I will redeem tomorrow and be finised with them until they change their policies. I do agree we should all write corporate. I plan to do so. Maybe once they realize all their business is going to Rite Aid and CVS, they will change.
