      I hope I kept this receipt… A week or two ago I worked this deal at Walgreens, where you also got the free product from them along with the free coupon… BTW, I LOVE the Olay Ribbons body wash.

        It states the offer is only valid from 12-10 to 1-29 so they may not allow you to do it with the receipt 2 weeks ago.

          It’s worth a try. I actually did one of the recent rebates they had for the Olay Roller. I purchased one of their products, totally different, not understanding that the rebate was for that until I mailed the rebate form & receipt. I just got the $20.00 check in the mail. So, they seem pretty flexible. It’s worth a try if you’ve already bought it anyway. Good luck!

        Since starting to coupon 2 months ago – I keep EVERY receipt (I used to toss all recipts) as I find rebates on here from items I have already purchased! I JUST bought the lotion and body wash yesterday on a great deal…now they will reimburse me for it? Awesome!!! :)

      There was a coupon too for a free hand lotion when you purchased these products. I was going to use it this weekend with my 20% coupon at CVS. Think it was Cosmo, but can’t remember the month.

      Can you use this with the one that the lady above mentioned? You buy the the shower wash? But technically you didn’t buy the lotion so we can still use the rebate? I just want to make sure I don’t do the company wrong ya know?

        I was wondering the same thing, Rebekah. How do you get a rebate for $0 “spent?” Won’t the receipt show that?

          Mine showed up normal price and then down at the bottom, the coupons show up as vendor coupon -3.00 and vendor coupon -5.99.. hope that helps

      I used the $3 off one and then the BOGO coupon that was in Marie Claire and Allure and possibly Cosmo as well. So out of pocket $2.99 and will get a rebate back for 11.98 (if they do allow that full amount)

      Wow, I just tried it, but my Walgreens could not do two, only one set. Bummer. I always get dissapointed at Walgreens. So not $5 back, but I will try to do the second one somewhere else and hopefully get the rebate. It should still be a good deal.

        I argued with the asst manager at a Walgreens last night – 30 minutes to ring up my transaction and no $5 for the $25 purchase. So Frustrating…I will stick with CVS!! :)

          same thing happen to me. The coupon beeped and the the manager came over and said the coupon sates one coupon states one per purcahse. i could ring them up seperate and pay 5.10 per transaction. No 5RR and could not use my RR i had(it was 8) did not want to buy crap i did not want. Was very excitied and left very disappointed.

        Yeah, my Walgreens wouldn’t take two either. Then they wouldn’t take off the amount of the lotion because it was higher than the amount of the body wash. The manager said that the machine will not take it and she can’t over-ride it. So I didn’t get the $5 register reward or the free lotion (she took off the lower price of the body wash instead) and I only got one instead of two. Still an okay deal but I wouldn’t have made a special trip and dealt with the pain of Walgreens. I would have taken it to Publix or Rite Aid and probably gotten a better deal. I’m swearing off Walgreens (again). I’ve never walked out of there happy. There system is too complicated and messy!!!

      Note: the manager had to be called because the computer wasn’t letting the Olay coupon go through, but the coupon says any body wash get any lotion free with no specified $ amount limit so they didn’t question it.

        I used that coupon at CVS yesterday and it wouldn’t let her either – something must be wrong with the coupon.

          I had the same problem… CVS’s computer said that the max that could be given for the coupon was 7.49 (the original price of the body wash)… I argued, they had to scan the coupon a couple different times but at some point, they were able to get it to go through.

            I didn’t have any problems with the coupon but I bought the bigger bodywash (8.99) so maybe that is the problem. Not sure why wags wouldn’t let you use 2 coupons…I had no issues at all!

              I had to buy the 8.99 size because the smaller size wouldn’t allow the coupon. Even the manager came over. But still a good deal.

              Same thing happened at my Walgreens, I had to get a bigger 7.99 Body Wash , but it still wouldn’t work, manager finally gave it to me for 0.00 ! Hopefully it’ll work for a rebate!?!?!

      I had to down grade my lotion to the size of the body wash and I had no problems using the coupons and I used two coupons on one transaction!!! It will not ring through unless you buy the same size body wash as you buy lotion!

      Also I was able to use x2 $3 off lotion after they were already free! Sweet deal! I have the nicest cashier at the beauty counter at my Woodstock, GA Walgreens, she always has extra coupons and makes them work!!!

      We went to Walgreens today and had to get the stor manager to make the deal work. At first, he said that he could not do it because I would get money back… When I explained that I would not, he finally price modified the lotion and the body wash to the same price. He then took the coupons and I got the five dollars in register rewards! Now I plan to get my rebate!

      My sister and I both called Olay and they said they would not honor any receipt with the bogo deal from the body wash and free lotion. I thought it was strange b/c the store still gets reimbursed.

        How can they distinguish between RR and coupons because they both are listed on the receipt as manufacturer coupons?

        That is what I was wondering as well…how can a consumer get reimbursed for something they didn’t purchase? I feel like that is unethical in a sense….

      Well, I got the larger lotion and all they had was the $5.29 body wash. It beeped but she looked it over and keyed in the price. Used $6 in RR that I had with me and paid less than $7 oop. Then I got 2 triaminic thin strips, used 2 $3.00 coupons and a store coupon (the manu coupons beeped and I had to wait quite a while to get that fixed but she keyed it through and I paid only tax of $.78 oop on that. Got $5 RR for that and then used the $5 RR from the first deal (for buying $25) and got the neutragena skin care for the price of tax and got the $5 RR for that. $52 for around $8.

      I did this deal tonight at Walgreens along with some other things.. my store only had the big body wash (23.6 oz) and the big lotion (20.2 oz) the body wash was $8.79 and the lotion was $9.99. The coupon kept beeping when she punched in the $9.99 for the lotion but when she tried $8.79 it took it fine. (I figured it wanted an equal or lesser value to the body wash) but I told her it was fine. I figure I’ll get $9.99 via the rebate so they will both still be free. Plus now my recipt doesnt show me getting the lotion for free so I should get the full value of the rebate back. :)

      OK this didn’t work well AT ALL. I feel like I wasted my Q’s. I didn’t get the $5 RR. I got one large and one small one. It was awful. IT WAS JUST A MESS!!!

      I look forward to using the above mentioned coupons and taking advantage of the rebate being offered by Olay however I would never attempt to do a transaction this potentially bothersome at Walgreen’s. While service is usually not bad they have a horrible time dealing with coupons and often their way of dealing with it is you are wrong they are right and they don’t even listen to explanations. I get especially annoyed with the you have $0.01 of overage you can’t use that coupon…give me a break. LOL! Personally I would look for a good price at Wal-Mart or perhaps a deal at CVS or Rite Aid where you should be able to shop a little easier for this deal and come out just as well without the headache.         I completely agree. I did everything they asked me to including getting a smaller size lotion even though the coupon did not specify size. They would not let me do it in one transaction so that I could get the 5 off 25 deal. Then they charged me $6.29 for the lotion and price adjusted my coupon to $5.29.

        I completely lost my cool and told the clerk that she cheated me. I apologized multiple times. Neither the store manager or the clerk apologized to me for all the problems they caused me.

        In the future, I will choose to give my business to either CVS or Rite-Aid. I am moving my prescriptions from Walgreens. I would prefer to drive a little further than be treated that way. Using a simple coupon should not be that painful.

          Yep, sounds like you had the same problem that I had. I too changed from the large one to the small one, broke up the transaction…none of that worked. The computer just didn’t like that Q. I will never use a q like this at Wags again.

            I think that we should let customer service know what is happening. Very few people will continue shopping in drugstores that cannot handle a simple BYGO coupon.

      This transaction was a disaster at my Walgreens. They would not let me buy two of them in the same transaction and then they price adjusted the value of the coupon. They charged me over $6.29 for the lotion and only game me credit for my coupon for $5.29 for the body wash.

      After involving the store manager, I was finally given the difference.

      I probably will not shop at this Walgreens and will move my prescriptions.

      Though the 11/29 coupon did not specify a size requirement (except for the fact you can’t get a trial size), the Walgreens register would not allow me to get a large bottle of lotion for FREE. I had to go back and choose the smaller size. To me this makes no sense, as I bought the same large size body wash as well. They overrode the system for me to get the smaller lotion, but would not do it for the larger one. Bummer.

      I went to walgreens today and got the large lotion and smaller baody wash and it beeped the stoe mananger came over confirned it was a manf. coupon. and she took off the 9.99 lotion. This was a differnt mang. she has always been good. I did not try to do both again. i will get them at seperate times. The other mang. i wanted to say “hey this coupons pay ur check each week” before i couponed I never went to a drug store to buy anything. Now i go at least once a week.

      I’m in Fayetteville and I can never get the good deals that some of you get at Walgreens so I don’t even bother with those folks anymore, it is just not worth it. I told them the last time that I went in that I remembered again why I stopped going into their store. I will not be back.
