This is just an example to show you how you can “roll” a Register Reward to use it on the next transaction.  There are tips to this if you read the guides that are linked at the top it will help!

Posted in the Grocery Gathering at BeCentsAble.

    • Lora

I have 3 coupons for the Thermacare products. Do you know if I can by 1, use the coupon and then turn around and use the 2.50RR to purchase another one and will it give me another 2.50RR? If not do you have any advice on how to get as many as I can?

      • NO! if you use a coupon to buy a register reward item you can not receive another register reward coupon because you are not paying the full price for the item. I am a WAlgreens mgr.

    • Ln

You can use the RR from the therma care to buy another one, but it will not generate another RR. You can, however, use the 2.50 RR to buy something else from a different manufacturer that will produce it’s own RR. Then use that RR to buy the therma care. A RR will not print if you use a RR from the same manufacturer to pay for it. HTH.

    • Elaine

When I use coupons, I am not getting RR back? How are some of you getting them?

    • Jenny

Some stores have reprogrammed their catalina machines. They will claim innocence but well… I would recommend trying another Walgreens if possible. For me their is one right near my house that is brand new — no RR with coupons, or an older Walgreens 1 mile further that works everytime!

    • Missie

I went to my Walgreen’s on S. Pkwy in Huntsville and was told by a very rude Mr. Russell that Walgreen’s will no longer be giving RR on purchases that use mfc. coupons and/or any RRs for payment. Has anyone else heard this? I ended up just canceling the order which also included 2 $10.00 musical cards. I have never run into a manager as rude as him. He basically implied that I was trying to cheat the store. I had 2 itmes that offered RR rebates and the 2 cards. I paid with one coupon, a RR and the balance of over $20.00 in cash and was then told the above and that he could do one of the RR, but he really shouldn’t because of the “New Policy”. Please, if you have any information on this and before I go to another store, let me know. I must say, between my Publix visit and this yesterday, it was not a good couponing day. :(

    • Missie

I read on another site that other people have been told this too. If so, I will not be shopping at Walgreen’s much anymore.

    • robin

the airwick freshmatics and i-motions are on sale this week for $6.99. great deal to use the $6.00 coupons on if you missed it last week at rite aid.

    • Emily

I see that the Aquafresh ISO ACTIVE toothpaste has a coupon listed under it for the Sensodyne ISO ACTIVE- Will this coupon work for the Aquafresh too? My husband has really been wanting to try this new toothpaste, so finally it looks like a good price!

    • Missie

If you click the link under the Aquafresh, it will take you to the Smartsource coupon page. Go to page 2 on the top right of the page and there will be a coupon for the Aquafresh. Hope that helps!

    • Stephanie

anyone have luck printing the angel soft coupons?

    • Great list as always!

But… I really do not understand the Aussie deal idea. Why would you want to use a $2/2 coupon to get them for $.99 each? You could also buy one at a time and get them for $.99 after the RR. Same price with coupon or without coupon… seems like a better idea to save your coupon! :) I actually have $1/1 Aussie coupons (from the bonus packs with the little stuffed kangaroo which were free at Kroger a month or two ago) so I am looking forward to picking some up for free. :)

    • Sharon in SC

Thanks for the wonderful list as always!

The Tylenol cold coupon is saying printed but I hadn’t. The link isn’t working.

Went to tylenol website and they are offering 2.00 there if you fill out a form. Link below, I printed 2 of the 2.00 off there. Hope this helps someone.

      • Kim C

It did the same thing to me. I searched through all of my other coupons just to make sure and I didn’t see it. Your link worked though. THANKS !!!!

    • Debra

Question? Does the ThermaCare Heat Wraps come in 1 per package? I’ve only seen them in a 2 pack.

      • The Thermacare I got was only 1 in the package.

    • Does anybody knows where to find johnson and johnson coupon for body soft lotion? is on sale this one buy one get one free and the coupon is a dollar off each.. but can’t find
      help please

    • Vonda

Walgreens also has the Jumbo Huggies Diapers for 8.99. I used my 2.00 off Huggies coupon. I was unable to get the Rite Aid deal in Alabama.

    • CYNDI

Our Walgreens in Cleveland has a ton of candy on clearance! I got some really good deals on Starbucks, Premium M&M’s and some other great candies. Prices from .49 to 1.49 these were half or more off! Also the Johnson and Johnson adult bath and body is bogo and you can print $1.00 off coupons. Price is $5.99 so it makes it $3.99 for two! Thanks for all the hard work, I love the scenarios!

    • LD

here is a link and you check the box to take some kind of quiz for the lotion http://www.johnsonsforyou.com/meltawaystresscoupon.jsp

    • seeker

I used my RR today towards my Sunday papers. They made me have a filler item, so I grabbed a 99 cent hand lotion (which I know was a little too much), but out of pocket was 1.07 (or .53/paper)for 2 sunday papers after $2RR. Could’ve done better, but I’ll not grab a 99 cent item next time!

    • Lisa

Does anyone have a Zyrtec coupon for 30 count or more? I’m new to this, so I wasn’t saving coupons when the Zyrtec coupon came out in August. Thanks!

    • Amy

For those who are having a hard time dealing with Wal Greens, I have enjoyed it so much now that I understand what I am doing. Remember that a RR is a manufactor coupon so you cannot use it and another manufactor coupon for the same item. You also cannot have more coupons (this counts RR) than items. Make sure you count your items and count your coupons so that your coupons do not outnumber your items. Also make sure your RR is not for the same company you are buying from if you want RR back. Once you do all these things, it is easy.

    • Ivy

There is an iso active coupon in today’s paper.

    • Ann

If you plan to do the Glade deal, make sure you buy the 4 count oil refills to get the RR. All of the scents at my WG’s in Atlanta “convienantly” come in 3 counts except for 1.

    • Cyndi

Under the Tylenol cold/flu RR deal mentioned there is a $1 off store coupon mentioned. HELP me, what and where is this? I have looked in the Walgreens Sept Coupon book and the weekly flyer and see no such item. Thanks in advance!

    • Carrie

This is in agreement with Amy #20 on making sure the RR is not for the same company which will give back RR. I learned that lesson the hard way tonight when I used my “ThermaCare RR” and purchased another ThermaCare that gave no RR! Also the deal on Oral B Toothbrushes were set to count for only “soft” bristle indicator brushes at my local store. The medium bristle brushes were reg. price (2.79) and the Mgr. agreed to lower the price but said I would not be able to get the RR.

      • kentucky

#24 I did the oral B toothbrush deal and got 1 soft brissle and 1 medium brissle and didn’t have a problem….

        • kentucky

ps. i also got the rr..

    • Coupon Newbie

      (2) -$1 off Tylenol store coupon (you will only need 1 coupon it will come off twice)

I am looking for this store coupon. Where do I find it??

    • Susan

The Wags coupon for the Tylenol is in a small booklet with a fall loooking picture and a happy African- American family on the front. I found it at the photo lab in one store about 2 weeks ago and on the counter at the register in another. I have not seen it at all in 3 other stores I’ve been in. It also has a Theraflu Q that will be good to use next week. Good luck… I hope you find it.

    • Had a great trip! I kept rolling the Thermacare deal with the Oral B deal and found some stickers that were 25 cents each. I got 6 thermacares and 12 toothbrushes and like 10 packs of stickers for like 2 dollars and the tax. It was awesome!

    • lynn

Vonda #15–where are you in AL? My Bham (vestavia) RA did the deal without any problem.

      • N

The Vestavia Walgreens told me you have to have a $5 purchase for each $1 of RR. Have you had this problem?

    • Brandy Dennison

Ashley #27- Did you make one trip or multiple? I was going to bounce back and forth to do the same thing you did. If I purchase more than 2 toothbrushes in a transaction will it print $2 RR for each set of 2 toothbrushes? Thanks for the help.

      • Ashley

I did multiple transactions. I just told the cashier that I would let other people go if they came in line. She was really happy that I was so polite and really worked hard so that I would save. She even got it to where some of my subtotals where negative before tax. I just always made sure I had enough items for coupons and spent enough money. The Thermacare gives me 2.50 RR which is more than I pay for the toothbrushes which total 2.00 with my coupon, so that’s where the stickers came in. Look at the clearance for things like that. It took me a bit to get through it all, but I had fun!! I think being super polite and up front about what you are going to do really goes a long way :)

    • Allie

Good job Ashley!! Thanks so much to all who work on the site!!! I love it! You guys are great. I have had the same thing that Missy #5 was talking about with Walgreens in Dickinson, TX.

    • Melissa

This will be my first week trying out the Walgreens deals. I have worked out this scenario:

Buy ThermaCare Heat Wrap for $2.49
      Use 1.00 Printable Q.
      =1.49 OOP
      Get $2.50 RR

      Buy 2 Aussie for $3.98
      Use 2.00 Q
      =1.98 + .50 filler
      Use $2.50 RR
      Get $2.00 RR

      Buy 2 Oral B Toothbrushes for $4.00
      Use BOGO Q, -2.00
      Use $2.00 RR
      Get $2.00 RR

Repeat, using $2.00 RR for the Thermacare wrap and a .50 filler, until coupons are gone.

      Sound like it will work?

    • Carol

I went to Walgreens tonight and purchased the Johnson lotion BOGO. I was able to only use one of my $1 coupons. The cashier said their policy has changed. I used to be able to use two. Anyone else?

    • Lisa, I have a coupon for $4 off a 30 count Zyrtec…e-mail at dakirk@farmerstel.com and we’ll figure out something.

    • pickensmom4

The Walgreens in Clemson, SC just opened and they have a stack of $3 off $10 at the front of store. These are their grandopening coupons and can be used the whole month of Sept.

    • Michelle

This is a great week for me at Walgreens. During three “trips” I will pick up (3) therma cares, (2) packages of toilet paper, (2) RON haircare products, (2) Tyenol products, (6) campbell soups (2) Keebler cookies and a bunch of pencils for only $2.50 out of pocket! Plus I end up with $13.50 in RR’s to use next week.

    • wendy

Love the shopping list thank you.
The Aussie deal would be the same if you only buy one without a coupon because you can only get $2 RR for one.

    • margaret

MICHELLE please share how you will do this deal.

    • Melissa

Michelle, would you mind going into a bit more detail on how you got it all for $2.50 OOP? Did you start with some RRs?

I have a Johnson and Johnson Lotion coupon. Not sure if it is body-soft or not. I will have to check when I get home. I do know the picture on the coupon is of a purple bottle. I will make a post on here tonight when I get home to look at the coupon.

Since Walgreens has their Huggies on sale for $8.99, I used my $2 off printable manufacturers coupons and on the Walgreen’s website, there is a $2.00 off Pull-ups Training Pants Store coupons. So stacked, it would be $4.99.

      • kentucky

Can you use pull up coupons on huggies diapers?

      • Dianne

I tried stacking the coupons and they wouldn’t take them. Offered no explanation, but since the computer wouldn’t take it, no one would override. Were you successful in stacking these coupons?

    • Cyndi

Thanks a TON Susan…I will keep my eyes open!

Today I went to Walgreens & was made to feel as though I was stealing. First I was in line behind a gentleman who had made his purchase & was waiting for his receipt when the cashier told me “Ma’am you can go to cosmetics to check out. I’m thinking why go to cosmetics when I’m next in line. Anywho I had her do a price check on an item, which was ringing up totally different so I had to get out of line & go find another filler item. I went to cosmetics once I find my item but they had 2 customers over there who was doing a return. When I returned to the counter @ the front, the sales clerk asked me why I didn’t go to cosmetics, I stated that someone was over there doing a return. Anywho she rung up my purchases but when my catalina printed out she didn’t give it to me, she actually tried to hide it. I had to ask for it. I usually don’t shop @ Walgreens & today I remembered why. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!

I went to Walgreens today, to get the Glade scented oil refills. I had 2 refills, and a pack of tic-tacs. For coupons, I had a $1.50 off one refill, $1.00 off one refill, and a $2.50 RR. The clerk told me I could not use all those coupons, which I knew I could because I had already asked the manager. She said I couldn’t, because I had 3 coupons, and the tic-tacs were too small an item to count. I asked her to scan the RR, then the $1.50. She wasn’t going to scan the $1 coupon, but I asked her to try and see if it would take it. Of course it did, and my next RR for the glade purchase printed out. I ended paying $.57 for all of it. She was fairly nice about it, but I was glad I knew the rules ahead of time.

You will end up paying .48 cents for 3 candles and 3 refills or maybe nothing and end up with overage if cashier enters coupon for maximum amount on the one that is get refill free (is up to 3.99) my cashier mistakenly did it on one and couldn’t reverse, so i ended with a little overage that went towards a movie I was buying for my little one.

BELLVUE, TN AREA Walgreens customers. I went to the Walgreens on 100 today. Micheal, one of the managers, remembered me from speaking with him a couple of weeks ago about the Garnier RR deal. That in and of itself is good customer service, but he is very interested in making sure our coupons and RR work correctly. So, if you have trouble there or at any other Walgreens, know that this manager on 100 is a “coupon advocate” and he’ll help you figure out how you can get the most out of your RR and coupons.

If I buy 2 of the crest outlast and 2 of the oral b indicators in the same transaction will the 5.00 & 2.00 RR print out? Thanks

    • I went to two different stores with the Roots of Nature coupons and could not find the product anywhere (I know they are supposed to be in the ethnic hair isle, but they weren’t there). And, I don’t even see them listed in the sales paper for this week. Can someone enlighten me?? I’m ready to make some overage!

If anyone hasn’t gone to Walgreens yet, beware of a couple things. First of all, I have done the Glade tins/refills deal at Target and Walgreens. BOTH cashiers took off the amount of the tins instead of the refills which shorted me. Make sure the cashier takes off the right amount on a buy one get one free. Know your amounts! I know it is hard but take a few minutes to get yourself prepared so you don’t have to run back into the store and get refunds. Also, the Sally Hansen cheap nail polishes that make the Sally Hansen thing a money maker are on the very bottom in all of the three stores I went to. I made out on these and will use these for Christmas care boxes. Have a good day!

Just got home from our local walgreens. Unfortunately, the Nabisco Fudge shop printable coupons are for size 8.5oz and larger boxes. The $1.99 B1G1 Free deals are only for the 5.5oz boxes; so the coupons will not work on this deal unless your manager overlooks the size requirement. The good part is the coupons don’t expire till December!

    • The Campbells coupons aren’t printing for me. It goes through the pages but nothing prints. I just finished printing something else, so it’s not the printer. Anyone else having trouble?

      • Gail

I had no problem using my campbell soup coupons. They were out of the soups and the chicken noodle would not work with the coupon.
So got a rain check fot the condensed soups.

        • Gail

I went to another Walgreens to use the campbells coupons.

Found a couple a deals last night at Walgreens. First of all, I’ve been wanting to try the Purex 3 in 1 sheets, but didn’t want to spend the $8.99 for them. They were on a clearance endcap for $4.49 and I had a $1 coupon so I figured I could try them for that price. Also had some Glade candles on clearance, and All detergent. Kelloggs cereal was 2/$4 and it was good size boxes…used Kelloggs coupons for that. Not a bad outing since I started out only going to use a B1G1 Oral B toothbrush coupon and get the RR’s.
