Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

I came across a new iPhone app today that Whole Foods shoppers will like.  Whole Planet Foundation created a Free app called “Make Change, Not Waste” and it gives you access to Whole Foods exclusive coupons!

It looks like it works a little like Recyclebank in that you get points towards coupons by recycling, using a reusable bag, carpooling, etc.  For every 10 actions you do, you’ll get a new coupon to brands like Nature’s Path, Alexia Foods, and more.

Another neat thing about this app is that you can choose to donate part of the coupon value to Whole Planet Foundation.  This will benefit the communities and clients they support around the globe.  So, instead of the coupon being $1 off, you could donate 50 cents to the Whole Planet Foundation and take 50 cents off the product.

I haven’t been able to use it yet as I have no Whole Foods near me (it’s coming soon…), but I saw coupons for $1 off Alexia Food products, .75/1 Nature Valley Organic Milk, and a number of other $1 off coupons.

This app also has more fun details that you can check out on the Whole Planet Foundation website.  Here is a neat opportunity to save money and help support Whole Planet Foundation at the same time.

Heads up they do not have an android version yet…

(thanks Joanna!)
