I'm in Cocoa Beach Florida and NONE of the Walgreens in my area will print a RR when a manufacturer coupon is used. A few of the managers will print one out but they said the catalina machines are programed to not give them if a coupon is used. What is the deal with this? Is this something new that corporate has changed concerning RR's?

I tried the headband deal and the Dove deal today (7/6) in ATL. The headband rebate did not print (I'll return it later). I did get the Dove deal but I deliberately bought extra items.

2 travel Dove deo (used one $1.50 off 2)
2 body mist (used 2 BOGO)
1 regular Dove deo (used $1.25 off one premium Dove) <-- Camoflauge!
3 .20 cent filler items from sales bin
1 regular price OTC medication, no Q
- $2 RR from previous trip
- $1.50 RR from previous trip

Earned $2 RR for Dove purchase. Total was around $10 (plus $17 in coupon savings).

Final strategy: I rang up at the cosmetics counter. Those cashiers are paid partially on commission (I think), or have a sales quota, or something. They're generally willing to work with couponage.

The cashier asked if I thought the trial size Dove would qualify for the BOGO. I suggested she run them through the register and find out - she did, and they worked. She was so impressed with my deal that I gave her my final BOGO and told her to treat herself to a body mist; she gave me a handful (!) of Nivea samples with coupons attached.

does anyone know how long the headband rebate is printing? Will it still print this week? And how much is the retail?

FYI-My Wags manager told me the other day that RR cannot be used on milk --I have ALWAYS bought milk with mine but said they aren't supposed to do it because milk is regulated. It is listed on the RR but I never noticed!!!

Thanks for the responses, I thought he was making it up, but he also said that there was a memo from Corporate that said no more RR when a coupon is used. Since I had the same problem with Dry Idea (at a different Wags) , I thought there might be some truth to this.

Nope I did this deal tonight in Acworth (though I did not do a very good job with the deal) and I used a 1 off deo q and the BOGO deo/mist q and the RR printed just fine. I did buy the doe that was 4.49 though and the mist was 4.49. Dont know if that made a difference or not and obviously this deal was not a money maker for me after the RRs I paid .75 cent for each thing.

Tracie- not true. It's a classic misunderstanding the managers have. Mine printed today, and ALWAYS print. Did you try running the transaction without coupons to see if it worked? I bet not. I bet it was something wrong with the catalina at that register.

I was at Walgreens on Peachtree Road in Atlanta today and tried to do the Dove deal. The RR would not print and when I asked the Mgr. why he said that the registers have been programmed to not generate the RR when a Manufacturer coupon is being used. Has anyone else had this issue?

I did this today, and did it even better! I buy the Tennesseean normally, and we had $1/1 any Dove deo q's in our paper, not $1.50/2. Then I combined it with the buy any dove deo get a body mist free q from the AJC (I bought four when I was there last weekend). The q did not exclude trial sizes. So I made a penny off each set, plus the $2 rr! Did the deal twice with two each- four dove deos and four mists. Thanks for posting this!!

B1G1 coupon didn't work for me either. It does say beneath the picture that it excludes trial sizes. Ah well... just have to wait for a Dove deo sale. I really like those body mists. Good luck!

I bought the headband and it did not print out a rebate. It's going back Sunday. It does not look comfortable.

I just got back from Walgreens. The cashier wouldn't take the free body mist coupon because it says that it excludes trial sizes. It doesn't specify whether it's talking about the deodorant or the body mist, but she was adamant, so I didn't argue.

Oh well. I hope it works for you all.

I am in Richmond VA and we did not recieve the coupon either. I looked to see where I could buy them. The only place I found was http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com

The price is 25 cents per coupon. IMHO still worth it. Hope this helps those that want to get in on the deal.

I have ordered from dede before and have always gotten my coupons within 3 days at the longest.

The coupon in the Columbia and Newberry State Papers is get $1 off a Dove body mist, not buy deod, get mist free so it won't work for us. Boo hoo!
