My store gave us a hassle but took it anyway and then I noticed that the coupon says "only good at Grand Opening Stores". So ymmv.

Well, never heard back from corporate but did get a call from assistant mgr this AM. She told me they would honor my coupon so I went back and got my oil this morning so I wouldn't have to deal with the manager. Corporate had called them yesterday. She actually gave me one of their coupons for $5. and used my $10. off on same transaction. She showed me the in store coupon for $5. does not have a bar code either. So I don't think there is any problem with these coupons as they do have stores opening and you register for the giveaway before printing the coupon. I think my oil was 24.98 and had paper towels to go along with coupon and she told me I didn't have to get the towels. I think the manager just didn't want to give me the $10. off. Assistant mgr said lots of people have had problems with him and also the mgr at Rite Aid has had problems with him in Rite Aid.

Just noticed the coupon on their site has the same ragged edges. It sure makes it look like a fake when it is printed though, lol.

Its obvious this coupon was scanned in by someone and put on a PDF file. It was taken probably out of a flyer, etc. notice the ragged edges on the coupon when you print it? I will NOT be using this coupon. This is why most stores do not accept internet coupons.....too much fraud and I don't blame them!

No problem Bobbie and good luck! The cashier I guess selected the coupon option and deducted $10 from the total or thats how it looks on the reciept.

Thanks Jessica, I'll try not clipping coupon and at a different store. One store did tell me on the phone that they couldn't take the coupon without a barcode. I'll be by another one this weekend and try there.

Thanks Jenny!! I went and registered, printed the coupon and we headed to Advance. I didn't clip the coupon after I printed it because it had no barcode. I was afraid they'd say it wasn't legit so I left the part at the bottom that shows the web address. They didn't give us any problems at all. The cashier did check with the manager to be sure they accepted them and see how to do it since there was no barcode. Our total before was $28 and some change, after is was $18 and some change. We got oil, a good quality oil filter and some special wiper fluid. This got my husband all into the whole coupon thing now LOL

Oh and the lady actually went to the site I gave her and looked at it online. She said they had gotten other calls about it today so why haven't they already checked it out before my call.

Well, don't feel too bad. I just went to Advance Auto Parts and they wouldn't take my coupon because it was only $24. plus change so I got a candy bar. Then the computer wouldn't take it because the oil I was getting was on sale. I told him the coupon said 10 off 25. So I just called Advance Auto Parts and she is checking to see if this is a legit site. Sooooo maybe I will know something this afternoon. Told her I didn't think Southern Savers would put it on their site if it wasen't ok. Also the salesman was a jerk.

Darn if I didn't just (hours ago) go to AutoZone to buy a battery!!!!! I even thought about going back to look for q's... AND, I passed and Advanced AutoParts ON THE WAY! Arrg!
