Last week you mentioned All Small & Mighty w/Snuggle with the words (c/o) attached. I had 4 $2 off coupons but I didn’t see it in the ad. Needless to say I saw what you meant last night when I saw the product with a CLOSE OUT sticker for $3.17. I got 4 bottles for $4.68 after using my coupons. CAN’T BEAT THAT DEAL. Electrosal Power Tabs are on sale at Kroger for $3.69. You can either get the Gel Tabs or Powerballs. If you use the coupons from 1/03 you’ll save $2.50, costing a total of $1.19. I bought 2 of them!

Kroger also triples mc coupons that are up to .39cents. Of course, I’ve never seen one for .39, only for .35 which will give you 1.05 off the product.

It depends on the policy at your particular store. My Kroger does take Target coupons, but the best thing to do is to ask at Customer Service to be sure.

My Kroger says that they do not take the coupons with the Target logo on them even when it says it is from the manufacturer. Has anyone else had this problem?

Same in Savannah. They are so coupon “un”friendly that I only go there for short trips when I am getting several things for free. I will be using the target GE coupon at publix this week though! :)

I went to the Jefferson GA Kroger and they will not take any “competitors” coupon ie: Target ever. And I was told that I had too many coupns and they only take a limited amt. I bought 4 pillsbury cinnamon rolls and had 2-.50 cents off 2 coupons and she only would let me use 1. I did find a Frito Lay Display with coupons attached for 2 bags of any Frito Lay chip and you get a FREE jar of any Frito Lay Dip. The Doritos and Cheetos were a good sale and I got 2 free jarsa of Tostito Salsa ($3.15 ea. for FREE). I spent $91.00 but saved $64.47 tonight. Thank You for your help!

Do cell-fire coupons not let you stack? I went to kroger today and bought 3 John Frieda root awakening products. I had 1 $2 off 1 item coupon and $5 off two items coupons. I also loaded the cell-fire coupons for the root awakening products ($2 off). So, I was expecting to save $9. My receipts only shows $2 off cell-fire (twice – $4) and the $2 off coupon I printed – so only a savings of $6. The $5 coupon was either not scanned or kicked out – did I do something wrong or was it the cashier?? He didn’t say anything about the $5 coupon not being accepted . . . arghhhh!

Cell fire and shortcuts both allow stacking. I did it today using the crescent rolls, cinnamon rolls, and grands biscuits. I had paper coupons plus the cellfire coupons. He must have not scanned it. Did he give it back to you? If not, go see the manager.

my celfire coupons worked today on the Pillsbury items but the shortcuts coupon did NOT work. I didn’t notice until I got home. Anyone know why they didn’t both work???

Thanks! I thought you could stack but the cashier did not give me the coupon back – so I figured it scanned. It wasn’t until I got home that I noticed. I really didn’t plan on buying three products until I printed the $5 off two coupon – makes it a pretty good deal to try something new. I guess I can see the manager tomorrow – $5 would be worth the trip!

I can’t tell you how many times that I have had cashier not scan all of my coupons. This is not just at Kroger either. It happened to me yesterday at Rite Aid, they take the coupon, but don’t give scan it and then when you question the balance, they say, “that’s your total”. I had a cashier at Publix swear that he had scanned all of my coupons and when I said I think you missed some, he said, I know for a fact that I didn’t. So, I scrap the mission and tell him to void my order and give me my coupons back. When he takes my groceries out of the bag, there are my coupons, in the bag, NEVER scanned. No apologies, nothing. I know to the penny what my total should be and 99% of the time the cashiers make mistakes. I even have cashiers argue with me when I point out a mistake in my favor!

Do you point out mistakes that would go the other way? I agree that cashiers should be more careful but, some couponers give us all a bad rep. They rant and rave over $1.00 when they have saved $25 in just one transaction. Sometimes they may get you for $1.00 or two and sometimes they make errors that gives you a benefit of a dollar or two. Manytimes, couponers will complain when they loose in error but if they gain in error, they won’t say anything. Then, cause huge commotions by returning large amounnts of grocery. In my opinion, just chalk it up sometimes. We are getting good deals and it’s just not worth making the cashiers hate to see couponers come through the line.

Yes, I do point out when the total is wrong at the detriment to the store. See my last sentence, they argue when I say the total is not right, even when it’s in my favor. I disagree with you about accepting an error because we are saving enough. Every penny counts and I spend alot of time trying to save. I do agree that we need to be courteous which I always am. I’m only asking that the cashier have an open mind when I say the total doesn’t seem right, seems like a pretty simple request.

That is why I, courteously and quickly hand each coupon individually to the cashier as he or she is scanning them. It makes it faster for them and I can listen for the beeps. I have never had a cashier complain and many have said that it helps them ring me up faster, and I certainly enjoy not having to worry about a coupon being missed.

Also, I have pointed out errors that the store has made that were in my favor. I have always had them thank me and say that they’re not going to penalize me for my honesty. I always say “ok but I would have laid awake tonight thinking about it if I didn’t point it out.”

I always count how many coupons I have then I hand them over to the cashier 5 at a time and watch them scan individually. I was tired of not getting credit for every coupon. Since I started doing it that way I have never had an issue!

I know which one you’re talking about, but if you look at the coupon closely, it is for the bigger size cup not the small 10/10 cups on sale. I was going to buy the same thing myself to get it for .20c when I realised it was not that one.

I had the worst time with my Kroger today. None of the grands or crescents were marked $1, and the manager gave me grief when I pointed it out. That was the sole reason I went! I had some $1 off 2 printables I needed to use….ugh! sorry, just had to vent!!

I don’t mind at all..it was the Opelika, Alabama Kroger. they are not coupon friendly at all (in my experience). Just a few more months before Publix opens 3 miles away!!!

I did well on a few close outs..and then Gain laundry detergent for $4.99 (!!!) and was able to use some coupons with some in-store deals. However, the hassle the cashier gave me, and then the manager, over a manufacturer coupon for Lean Cuisines (it had a Target logo, but clearly a manuf. coupon with a bar code) made me absolutely furious. It’s as if the cashiers enjoy sticking it to the customers and saying NO. They enjoy it!! 50%-75% of the time they hassle me over some (legitimate) coupon. I don’t understand that business practice! Sorry, I have to vent also!

I had the same thing happen once. Somebody told me it’s because the manufacturer only intends to reimburse the store that they have on the coupon. Is this true? It doesn’t seem like the manufacturer would care if their product is being sold. Frustrating…Kroger doesn’t seem to be very coupon friendly.

I always have this problem at Walgreens, not Kroger or Publix. I thought that a manufacturer coupon (even a catalina) could be used at any store because the company is reimbursing the store. Am I wrong?

That’s probably true, but those kinds of coupons are the store’s way of bringing in customers and there’s always the possibility that when you are there you might spend more money at the same time. Anyway, if that’s the case and they won’t allow you to use it, then simply don’t the next time. It’s not a big deal.

yep….I always have them tell me that some coupon isn’t legit…I mean, every single time I go in, they have some issue with a coupon and then the manager gets involved and I end up feeling like I am doing something wrong! oh well, i am still so thankful for the money I am saving!

We don’t enjoy “sticking to the customers”. We do, however, have to follow the policies our supervisors and managers give us. I know it can be very frustrating. The best thing to do is either call the 800 number or send an email to corporate headquarters. If enough people complain (politely, of course) the more likely you will see positive change.

I just took advantage of the register rewards for $5 on next order when you buy 5 Kraft dairy products. This includes Kraft cheese singles, Philadelphia cream cheese and Breakstone products. I think there are more too . This reward is good until 1/24. Coupon for .50 on one single ran out today. WIth coupon and reward they were only .49 each. I do wish that Kroger had a listing of register rewards on their website. I usually find out by accident or on Southern Savers.

Question – If I have loaded both Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons onto my Kroger card and they are the same deal (Grands for instance – .30/2 is on both sites) – can I get 2 Grands and save .60 because both companies have loaded onto the card OR…can I buy 4 Grands and cellfire coupon goes to one and the shortcuts to the other. Does this make sense? I don’t want to buy 4 if I don’t have to – I’d rather save the .60 on the 2. Going tomorrow if anyone can help.

I think that you would have to buy 4. The cellfire one would work for 2 and the shortcuts would work for the other two.

I’ve tried to do this – buy 4 of the same items and use 4 ecoupons – and in my experience the total number of ecoupons taken off a single transaction is 2 (even though you may have 2 coupons saved from both Cellfire and Shortcuts). I’ve even tried to do 2 separate transactions (2 items each) to get the 4 ecoupons to come off and they don’t come off after the first transaction. I don’t know if there’s a limit to how many of the same coupon you use in a 24 hour period or what. I’ve taken to not pushing my luck and just buy 2 items (which I know will work) and go back the next day to get more. I also try to wait until I get a statement emailed me from shortcuts.com so that I know what they’ve gone through the system. HTH

Sorry, I miss read the previous post. If the coupon is for .60/2, and you buy 2, only one coupon will be applied (either from Cellfire or Shortcuts). I don’t think both ecoupons will be applied for the 2 items. At least I’ve never had that happen to me.

I’m not really sure. I can’t remember ever signing up for anything. It says that it is for their “best customers”, so maybe it has something to do with how much money you spend there. I get them quite frequently, usually before every major event (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Superbowl, and again in the sumemr) they send out a mailer. Maybe you can call their customer service and ask to be put on the mailing list.

Maybe I missed it. But there is a Bird’s Eye coupon for .50 making those free. There was also one in this weeks Sunday paper. Pillsbury brownie mix is $1 this week also. There’s a .40 coupon for that as well. It say not to double but it did. Got those for .20!

so i went to kroger to try out the healthy choice deal. using the $5off ecoupon and $5 paper coupon. It beeped when she scanned it but she overrode it without saying a word.

the ecoupon worked, but the $5.00 printable coupon would not accept. The cashier said that “it exceeded” the limit. I think that the reason being I had 5 meals that were between $1.85 & $1.96, making the total under $10.00. Very frustrating.

I just tried to do the Healthy Choice deal this evening and it does not work. The manager pointed out that the paper coupon says that you can only use 1 coupon per item (in this case -$5/5). She explained that most of the time you CAN use an e coupon and a paper coupon but that every once in a while a high value coupon like those ($5 off) will only allow one & it will state it on the coupon. I had them take all mine off since I was only going to get them if they were free.

You should be able to use both Boyardee coupons. The Kroger on Tow Notch will not triple any coupons, they will double them. Also, I loaded a bunch of coupons on my card the other day and didn’t realize until after I got home that none of them were used even though I had them scan my card. You may not be able to use both paper and e-coupons there.

It is a .50 coupon that was in red plum on Oct 25th. It expires on 1/17. There is also one for .75 for Suave deodorant for men. I found 1.4 oz for .97 at Walmart. That makes them only .22

It worked for me too! I am very surprised as I have had problem after problem with my Kroger. They didn’t even know what e-coupons were when I went to the service desk to inquire about their coupon policy! I was having problems using both e-coupons and paper coupons for the same items and wanted to find out their policy, still no answers since they didn’t have a clue as to what I was talking about. I just got back from Kroger, with the Nabisco Go Sacks. They qualify towards the Kraft Back to school Rebate, and I found some $1.00 off 2 Nabisco crackers (5 oz.-16 oz.) The coupons wouldn’t work for the cups, because they are only 4 oz. but they work on the bags, making them .50 cents each. The bags also qualify for the Keep the Jingle in Your Holiday rebate. Buy 10 and get $10 back. So if you have the coupons you make $5! If you don’t, it makes them all free!

At my Kroger in Johnson City, TN, crystal light was on sale for $2.99 and nabisco 100 calorie packs were on sale for 2/$5. I used the $2 off when you buy one crystal light and one nabisco 100 calorie from 1/3. There’s also a $1 off crystal light coupon in the new Kroger My Magazine (I got mine yesterday). The betty crocker sticerz (fruit snacks) were also on c/o for $1.95 I was able to use both Healthy choice coupons. They were $2.07 or $2.75 each at my store so it might have been because I was still paying something for them.

Be sure to check your own local Kroger ads – I am finding each week that there are several items that you are showing on sale that my Kroger does not have on sale…but THANKS for providing this information to all of us – it’s saving me bundles – today I bought $148 worth of groceries for about $88 – not bad for a first “real week” of couponing – I bought meats and produce which don’t normally have coupons but were good buys to stick in the freezer, plus lots of good coupon deals! I’m hooked! I am also checking out a store that I normally didn’t “grocery shop” at – Dollar General Marketplace. I bought an 8 lb. Hormel spiral sliced ham – sale date through March 10th – for about $9 – the store had a coupon attached for $5/off each ham…may have to go back and buy another one for the freezer! Thanks again!

I think I solved that problem of stuff listed in the the weekly list and not being on sale in some stores. I’m in Texas and our sales start Wed and ends the following Tues. Now , the list published on this site starts Sun and ends Sat. What’s happening is that when the list comes out on Sun, it will not go in to effect for us until Wed and last until the next Tues. It took some figuring out cause I had the same problem. I would look through flyer and the sunday list and not find the sale when I went to the store – then lo and behold it would be featured on Wed when our new flyers came out.

I got 3 of them and a catalina coupon spit out for another $1/1 cup. I don’t know how long it will spit out, or how many you have to purchase to get it, but I hope this helps someone!

SS means smart source and RP means red plum. these are the names of the coupon flyers that come out in the newpaper or you can go on their websites to print their coupons.

I live in Columbia, SC and the Kroger on Lake Murray gave me such a hassle today for the first time ever! the manager was very rude. I actually SAW the cashier ring up my $5/5 healthy choice meals coupon, saw my savings go up, and then take it off, and then call the manager over. the manager treated me like a thief, also, telling me that it was wrong to get something for free (the halls cough drops in my purchase.) i was so upset. has anyone else had this problem, at this kroger or another?

I did this healthy choice deal no problem at my King Sooper store.They were $2.07 so 7cents each ,my store treats customers with great respect here in CO. More than I can say about Walgreens they treat couponers like something on the bottom of their shoe.

At that particular Kroger I have had issues as well. I tried to do the Healthy Choice Meals Deal and my internet coupon would not scan. The Cashier whom I think her tag read “head front cashier” or somthing to that effect said that that was the thing about internet coupons ..sometimes they scan..sometimes they dont.
