For me, warmer weather means moving away from soups and heavier dishes and trying to find some lighter options that my family will still enjoy. Once again I’ve got a full month of meals for you to check out and hopefully help relieve some of the burden of meal planning.

April Monthly Meal Plan

I’ve included some old favorites from our archives here as well as some recipes that have been making frequent appearances more recently. I also found some new recipes that I’m excited to try! Maybe it’s because I’ve got fresh veggies on the mind, but I can’t wait to take a bite of this pasta primavera with cauliflower sauce. Also, we grilled with friends this past weekend, so we’ve got a new tank of propane ready for us to try this grilled buffalo chicken.

I know that these monthly meal plans aren’t going to be a perfect fit for everyone, but remember that you can take what’s helpful and leave the rest. You can also adjust or substitute on certain days if the meal I chose doesn’t fit into whatever dietary restrictions you may have. If you’re doing keto, then on many of the days you can just skip the starchy side. If pasta is on the menu, consider making zucchini or cabbage noodles and using the same sauce and toppings.

As I did last month, I didn’t always specify which vegetable to have. I try to include a green veggie if I can (green beans, broccoli, spinach, zucchini, peas, etc.), but choose vegetables that you and your family like or that you can get for cheap at the store!

You’ll also see that on Easter, I didn’t include a plan. We’ll be posting a menu plan for Easter based on current sales the week before Easter, or you might choose to fall back on your family’s traditional Easter recipes!
