Barnes & Noble is giving a big salute to educators with 25% off classroom and personal purchases on select days 1/12-1/20.  Educators can also get 10% off music and DVDs.

Not at stores are participating so check here to see your store is included.  South Carolina only has 2 stores doing it, but most areas have more.

The discount can be done in-stores or online.  To get a Free Educator Card you’ll have to apply in store and show your credentials.

The B & N website has it wrong. There are MORE stores in SC participating. I teach and needed something from the Harbison location. When I went online, it showed that location was not participating. However, THEY ARE! I had seen a poster while in there this weekend and called today to be sure. So, call your local store if you are in SC to find out. Do not rely on the B & N website.

    • I find this odd – I have an educator card with them, and get 20% off everything but music every time I shop. It’s never 20% off the asking price, it’s 20% off the full price. So sometimes it’s a great deal, other times their sale prices are better than my discount would be. I don’t see much change in adding another 5% off unless I was shopping for more than one or two books. Maybe if I was stocking up all at once? Does anyone really take good advantage of this sale?
