pampers deal

I’m always being asked where to go to get the best deals on diapers.  My answer is always the same… “The Drugstores!”  This week we’ve got Pull-Ups for $2.99 at Rite Aid and a great deal on Pampers at CVS.

The CVS deal is taking advantage of the gas gift card promotion.  When you buy $30 in participating products you will get a $10 gas station gift card.  Technically this is a limit of one gift card per week… however most have been able to get more than one.

There are hundred’s of participating items each week (and they change each week to make it tricky).  This week here’s an idea of how you can get super cheap diapers with the deal:

(3) Pampers Diapers, jumbo pk., $8.99 ea.
(4) M&M’s Candies, Buy 1 Get 1 for 25¢ (reg. $1.29)
Subtotal: $30.05
(3) -$1.50 off Pampers diapers, printable
(2) -Free Mars M&M’s pretzel candies, 1.14 oz max $1.29 wyb M&M’s candies, 1.14-1.74 oz printable
Total Due: $22.97

Get Back: $10 Gas Gift Card!

That’s like paying $12.97 for everything or $4.32 a pack for diapers!!

Don’t forget that you can also decrease your out of pocket and pay with any ExtraCare Bucks you already have towards it.  It’s a great way to turn pretend money into real money with the gift card deals!!

Hi Jenny. I am starting to buy diapers as a stock up in advance however am new to this. It gets very confusing because their are so many different packs- jumbo packs, regular packs, boxes, jumbo box. This makes it hard to figure out what the best prices are. I also noticed that the larger size diapers have less in a box so its hard to figure out what is a good per diaper price. Can you give me a range that is a good buy price per diaper?

She previously wrote a post that was helpful when I began stocking up on diapers. Here is the link to the post: http://www.southernsavers.com/2012/08/stocking-up-on-diapers-how-much-to-buy-at-what-price/

Obviously, I am not Jenny, but here’s the link I used for the diaper stock up prices: http://www.southernsavers.com/2012/08/stocking-up-on-diapers-how-much-to-buy-at-what-price/
I am not sure if prices have changed since my price point is $4 or less per pack. I used this when I was stocking up for my baby and started stocking up several months before he was born. My stockpile has never gone lower than 18 packs and I have never paid more than $4 per pack. Many times, I have spent closer to $2 and change. I find that usually Jumbo packs are cheaper after coupons and drug store rewards. I mostly buy Huggies because their coupons are generally higher in value than Pampers and I mostly shop CVS. Because I registered my card online, I get special $5/30 Baby purchase coupons that I stack with their “spend $30 on Huggies and get $10 ECBS or $10 gas card” deals. A few weeks ago, I did the gas card deal. I purchased 3 Huggies and 2 Pop Tarts. I used 3x$4 off Huggies, 2 $1.50 off Pop Tarts coupons, and a $3/15 store coupon that was emailed to me. It cost $12.98 plus tax and I got a $10 gas card. I did the deal again today and purchased 3 Huggies and 1 Angel Soft TP. I used $1 Angel Soft coupon and 3x$4 Huggies coupons. The total was $19 before tax and I received a $10 gas card. This is how I keep my stockpile up.

      • Hey there,

I did a post all about how many to stock up and what price. You can find it http://www.southernsavers.com/2012/08/stocking-up-on-diapers-how-much-to-buy-at-what-price/

Great post that allowed me to stock up for my baby! If it is your first, many people will give you diapers so you may want to buy a few less than suggested, especially for size 1 and 2. My CVS recognizes me so they let me trade sizes up after he grew out of size 1. :-). Thanks Jenny for all your hard work!

          • Thank you for the encouragement !

I like to stay below .15 a diaper. It’s harder as the kids get bigger but that’s my goal price. If I have to spend .18 cents I diaper I will

I just went to CVS to do this deal. Unfortunately, my CVS didn’t have the pretzel M&M’s. However, to salvage the deal I found a stand-alone M&M stand and it had a coupon stack on it for 75 cents off two M&M’s. So, I grabbed 4 bags of M&Ms but this only totaled $2.50, and I needed $3.03 to get me over my $30 for the free gas card. So I grabbed a Reese’s (also part of the gas deal, and was $1). So, my total after coupons was $24.47 which is $4.82 per diaper pack after gas card which is still a darn good deal!!!
Just wanted to make this suggestion in case your store didn’t have the pretzel M&Ms.
