My favorite staycation is just hanging out around town (Gadsden) with my boys! We visit Noccalula Falls (http://noccfalls.homestead.com/), play some mini-golf, eat some frozen yogurt (http://itsyogurtime.com/), and rent some movies from the Redbox. Of course using coupons for everything!
Really hoping I get one of the giftcards! I signed up for EverSave on Friday so I guess I’m not eligible for their drawing.
So glad I found this site! I’ve got a list of stuff printed that I’m going to snag from Target tonight. Thanks bunches and have a great day!

I am a fan on FB with Eversave and Southernsavers.com
Stay home but turn your A/C to a colder temp for a few days…and use disposable plates/cups to lighten your load for the duration. Make a family-friendly day trip, good for all ages. Be sure to use your coupons and discounts found at southernsavers.com FB page!
I Like Eversave n SouthernSavers.com
I have liked both eversave and southernsavers.com on Facebook and am signed up on both! :)
I like Eversave and SouthernSavers.com on Facebook ! =)
I liked Eversave and already liked Southern Savers on FB! :)
I like both Eversave and Southernsavers!
A great staycation would be to hit every historical marker and museum in a 60 mile radius for my children to better learn my community's role in history
i like eversave and southern savers on fb!!!!!! thanks!!!!!
I “liked” eversave on FB
I “liked” SouthernSavers on FB
I feel so blessed to have found the world of couponing. There are no words to describe what a difference it has made to us. A staycation for us would be to add a small deck to the side of our above ground pool so that it is easier for our families (older) to get in the pool with us and our kids.
We like to go camping and finding a nearby state park is our idea of a great staycation. It's cheap and loaded with togetherness!
Since I already “Like” both sites on FB, I would love a stay-cation involving taking the kids to our awesome community aquatic center everyday.
I like Eversave and Southern Savers on FB.
Also, just liked both on FB!
Thanks again!
Camping at a local campground.
I like Eversave and SS on FB
I am a fan on FB.
We live in northern GA and we did a staycation a couple of years ago where we did a tour of all the wineries up there. It was awesome and inexpensive!
There are plenty of Fun staycation activities in my area. I would love to spend time at the springs or taking the LO to the zoo!
Our “staycation” would include going to the Water Park in our town as much as possible!
Like both on FB
I like both Eversave and Southernsavers on facebook.
A staycation for us would look like a kayaking trip down the local river, as well as visiting some of the local museums that we have yet to go to. Probably also a daytrip to the beach would be in order.
Love our hometown. So much to do!!!! Asheville, NC Spend the day at the Biltmore or in the Pisgah forest!
Our “staycation” would consist of going to the river and grilling out with family. Family time means everything to us.
I 'liked' Southern Savers on FB loooonnngg ago!!! And I 'liked' Eversave today!
If you live in Atlanta, buy a City Pass. It's $69 for adults, and $49 for kids. It gives you admission to the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, CNN Studios, High Museum or Fernbank, and the Zoo or History Center! That can keep us busy for a while!
My idea of a staycation is to lie in the pool on a float in total peace and quiet for 6 hours each day. Dinner out each night so there's no cleaning up to do.
My staycation would include getting a summer pass to either Disneyworld or Bush Gardens. Sadly, although I live in Florida I've never been to either of those places. I would also enjoy camping or something like that locally so it seemed like I was getting away.
I like SouthernSavers!!!
And our staycation would be camping areound a campfire in the backyard. Roasting hot dogs on a stick that was bought with coupons.
I like Eversave and Southern Savers on Facebook.
I like SS and Eversave on facebook!
I like eversave & southernsavers on facebook!
We tought of going to the River Bank Zoo and the Discovery Place. And with 500.00 maybe a day at the waterpark in your town of Travelers Rest.
My idea of a great 'stay-cation' is a big cookout and camping in the backyard with friends!!
My idea would be to have a water gun battle, grill out and watch a new release movie!
I think it would be fun to have a stay-cation with a theme for each day. For instance:
Day 1 – Outside fun – visiting parks, riding bikes, hiking, etc.
Day 2 – Game day! Play indoor/outdoor games, gaming systems or board games
Day 3 – TV/Movie-a-thon – Watch a series of your favorite show/movies back to back and plan a dinner around it with a theme.
Something like that would be neat.
My perfect staycation would be in Orlando with passes to Disney World and Universal Studios.
I like southernsavers and eversave on FB.
My favorite idea for a staycation is finding a near by state or national park and go camping with the family. Once you start looking, you won't believe how many parks there are.

I would just enjoy having time to go swimming and grill out together!
A staycation for us would be a visiting the local museums and staying in a local hotel with a pool and enjoying our family time together.
Liked Eversave on Facebook and SouthernSavers for a while now!
We are in the midst of a staycation, exploring our hometown.
backyard camping
Like eversave and southern savers on facebook.
Best idea for a staycation: Neighborhood family movie night where a different family hosts each night with different games.
I like eversave and southern savers on facebook
Oh the best staycation would be a chance for my husband and I to sleep in and then go have breakfast and relax at the lake for a day. Uninterrupted by the three little ones. Just a chance to reconnect and not do laundry, while breaking up a fight and pulling one off your leg :)
Transform your backyard into a water fun park!!
I like 'em both on Facebook :)
Mine would be a trip to the zoo, then to the local ice cream/ coffee shop!
I like eversave and southern savers on facebook, would love them if I could.

A trip to the zoo!
backyard bbq, campfire with smores, sleep in tents
I like Eversave and SS.
a staycation for us would be heading out to the back yard :-) we are a family that likes to camp…Set the tents up, bbq, for dinner, and light the firepit….plenty of fun right at home…
heading to Oak Mountain is the best for an all day extravaganza :) only 40 mins from the house – perfect!
FINALLY having my husband home (military duty) since he's been gone a year so that he, myself and our daughter can unpack our new house!!
My staycation would be quite and peaceful just the opposite of my usual day. I would pamper myself with spa treatments and then an awesome dinner out with my husband and maybe a movie.
Our “staycation” would be finally going to Toledo Bend.
i like eversave and southern savers on facebook!
Best idea is to be a tourist in your own town and check out all the things that people who visit might do, but that you may never have thought about.
my staycation would enjoy a backyard bbq and just floating in the pool all day~
my staycation would enjoy a backyard bbq and just floating in the pool all day~
I have liked both Eversave and Southern Savers on FB!
A trip to Point Mallard, then a day at the Space and Rocket Center would be our fun zone!
I like both Southern Savers and Eversave
We have had a great summer full of staycations. We have enjoyed spending the day outside with water battles and a slip in slide. We have taken an ice cream break using a groupon for ice cream at a local shop.
I live at the lake. So grilling, swimming, and camping is our idea of fun!
Very inexpensive!
I like Southern Savers and Eversave on FB!!
Our staycations always include beach time, bowling, movie theaters, yogurt shops, bbq's, bounce houses (with inflatable jumping), and more. It's all about utilizing your home as your hotel and then exploring what's within 50 miles that you rarely get to do as a family!
I like southernsavers on FB!
Camp out in the yard with smores!!
liked both on facebook. Entered for big giveaway. I have been following southern savers for over a year not and love how easy your site is to use. Thank you so much. All my stockpile is getting depleting faster due to two new foster kids but I am still in love.
Stay Cation is all we know. We go camping at local campgrounds. All over our community. We call this “exploring our world”.
like both on facebook
I would like to go on a staycation trip in Atlanta – GA Aquariam, World of Coke, Atlanta Zoo.
I liked both on Facebook.
A staycation with my family would be taking the time to do the little things with my husband and sons that I do not normally get to do.
transform my backyard into my peaceful getaway with a large grill, fire pit and all the surroundings.
There are multiple state parks that would provide a wonderful day full of exploring and outdoor activities. Many people miss wonderful opportunities that are right in their back yards.
Grandparents watch kids for a week, plenty of frosty drinks, freshly made bed every day with the 'good sheets', cook something exotic and out of the ordinary, watch a foreign movie or two, and randomly pick a local activity you've never tried- like shooting lessons or salsa lessons for a week.
Best staycation would to head out to the museums and attractions which I havent been able to do since the birth of my little one. All I need would be a baby sitter and hubby to tag along like the old days!
My response has been registered wrongly .. It's Saida Ahmed
I “like” Southern Savers and Eversave on Facebook!
my best idea of a staycation is using the trails around us to hike, however it's so stinking hot maybe just hitting the movies would be great!
My perfect staycation would be lots of trips to the local pool and lots of movie nights!
My father lives near the lake Martin . We love swimming and BBQ near the Lake.
I already WAAAAAY “like” Southern Savers, and I now “like” Eversave. My idea of a stay-cation would be going to the movies and out to eat every night. These are luxuries that we rarely get to enjoy on a tight budget!!
Our favorite staycation is setting up our own beach in the backyard. We have a small above ground pool for our ocean and living here in SC we have plenty of sand. The kids can build sand castles with some “ocean water” and sand. We set out some blankets to lay out in the sun and canopies or umbrellas for shade. We make popsicles or ice cream. We snuggle on the blankets while reading our favorite books. When we get hot we swim in our “ocean” or play water games!
I like both Southern Savers and Eversave on Facebook
Like EVERSAVE & SOUTHERNSAVERS on Facebook.
I like Eversave and SS on Facebook!
A staycation would include a campout at Stone Mountain Park campground about an hour away. It is under $150 for 2 nights including all day attraction passes to the park for all four of us for 2 days! Swimming pool at the campground, cooking out, fishing… It's out for us this year because of cost, but maybe another Southern Saver in the ATL area will see and be able to get out and enjoy! :-)
I like SS and eversave on FB.
Jennifer likes Eversave and Southern Savings on Facebook :-)
I live in the Atlanta area, so the choices of fun things to do on a stay-cation are endless! My kids would love a day at the Aquarium, a trip to the Children's Museum and a splash in the fountains at Centennial Olympic Park. We could take in a Braves game and try out some fun new restaurants, too!
Create a scavenger hunt about things in the downtown where you live for your kids and take the whole family to participate to find the clues. Afterwards everyone goes for ice cream.
Visiting a historic site near us (Atlanta) – Chickamauga, state capital, MLK house.
I like Southern Savers and Eversave on FB!
We live in Charleston, SC, so having a staycation here is not difficult!! I would rent a home or a hotel room right on the beach for the week(end)! My kids and I love the beach…the hubby on the other hand, not so much! (hehe) But this is something even he would enjoy!
A great staycation would be to set up a big tent in the backyard, make a campfire, cook over the fire and make s'mores!
A Staycation in my 'hood includes packing up a cooler, blanket and good book and walking to the park for a good read under a nice tree. On day two, maybe a short (5 minutes) drive downtown where we can walk to the Art Museum for culture and a fancy lunch, the Civil Rights Museum and a tour of some very funky shops. Other days might include some fun movie nights with the grill going strong out on the porch. A game night with friends and a homemade snowcone or ice cream day!
We did a “staycation” a couple of years ago when I was expecting and nearing my due date and also because it was much less expensive than going on an actual vacation. We went to Chattanooga which is about 45 miles or so. We visited the aquarium, the Discovery museum and a local park called Coolidge park! My kids have never been to the zoo so I would love to take them to the zoo or possibly a botanical garden that is about 60 miles away.
Like both on FB
I like EverSave and Southersavers on FaceBook!!
We just had a few days of staycation, and I like the idea of little treats–like having a special dessert and eating it by candlelight.
A great staycation would be a spa day for friends! Massages, facials and nails…oh my! Now that screams best staycation ever!!
I follow Southern Savers and Eversave on Facebook.

Staycation idea: go to free water splash pad in town.
Tubing or Kyaking in the many rivers near by
We live in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast is only a couple of hours away. It would be great to get away to the beach for a day!

I have always liked Southern Savers on FB and now I like Eversave, too!
Don't know why I am now showing as sixdufries, but we are also David & Mandy Dufries and our staycation post is below. :)
We did a Staycation for our wedding anniversary a few years ago. Grandma watched our kids for the week. We went to all of our favorite restaurants, we went to all of our favorite bars, and we just layed around and enjoyed each other for 4 days. It was great.
I like both on FB. : )
I like SS and Eversave on FB
My perfect Staycation would be to get out the blow up pool, put it on our back porch, get some drinks and watch the boys play.
I think a great staycation would be season passes to our local amusement park: Dollywood. During the summer months, we have Dollywood/Splash Country which is perfect on days like today where we are close to 100*!
A picnic in the backyard is fun for the kids!
mami2jcn at gmail dot com
My favorite staycation is doing just that – staying at home – resting, playing, and enjoying the company of each other. :)
just “liked” eversave! hope it will produce good results!
I like you both on FB with my username Mary Happymommy.
mami2jcn at gmail dot com
Ok this is not inexpensive but it's a lot less expensive than booking a hotel. Some hotels especially those that have spas, will allow you to rent a poolside cabana for the day as a day guest. My favorite staycation is poolside at Hard Rock hotel in Tampa. Just call to book the cabana through their spa. You can bring up to 5 people. I plan to use some of my coupon savings this summer to relax this way.
Best staycation is go for hiking and fishing with my husband and baby girl..:)
We would like to do a “travel Alabama” staycation, where we would visit McWane Center, a zoo or 2, Space and Rocket Center, and maybe the Tuscaloosa Hands-on Museum. We'd visit and stay with family all along the way!
I like southern savers and eversave!
a wonderful stacation would be getting a pool for outside, floats for the “pool”, lots of virgin tropical drinks, and hang out with my great family in our little oasis. btw liked eversave and southernsavers facebook pages.
Visit a local aquarium and spend just a little bit extra on the one time entrance ticket to purchase a yearly pass so you can visit again.
For us it is local zoos, aquarium, beach and a ton of local events.
I like both Eversave and Southernsavers on facebook.
A staycation for my husband and I would be lots of couple and relation time. Maybe
taking the time to reconnect with the beauty of our town, visiting some of the
local historic spots, visiting museums and/or parks down town. We would just
take the time to enjoy each other’s company while having the joy of not going
to far from home.
I DEF would get the all access pass to ATL, includeing, world of coke, the ATL aquarium, sixflags, whitewater, cyclorama, ATL zoo, and ATL history center. :) fun filled and jam packed with lots to do! ps. i have 'liked' both :) Jennifer
A staycation for us is to rent a hotel in downtown Atlanta. We would relax and enjoy the pool. Then take the children to exciting places like The Atlanta Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, the Atlanta Zoo, and perhaps catch a Braves baseball game after grabbing a dinner from the Varsity :)
I already liked you, so I just had to like Eversave too!
I looooooove Southern Savers and Eversave! I liked them on facebook too ;)
I liked Southern Savers and now like Eversave on FB!
A great staycation would be taking advantage of some of the great destinations in our area. Horseback riding, maybe a character dinner or breakfast at Disney.

My favorite staycation is to pack a picnic basket (I need one – mine is broken!) with some unusual treats – olives, marinated artichoke hearts, some crusty French bread, a chunk of cheese, some Caprese salad from the Target deli, and of course the stuffed grape leaves from Target. I put in some pretty napkins and plates (could use some of these!) and spread a tablecloth in my backyard where my honey and I lay and look at the stars while nibbling on the goodies. It's quick, it's easy, and you NEVER bring the cellphone! Escape!
I have liked both southernsavers and eversave.
Our Staycation would include daytrips to waterfalls in north Georgia, Alabama and/or Tennessee.
I don't just LIKE Southern Savers, I LOVE Southern Savers and Eversave!

like & like! Best staycation idea for my family would involve being able to spend the day at the beach at one of the amazing beachfront properties in our area and enjoy some of the nightlife we have while the kiddo is safely looked after by a trusted family member or friend – so mom and dad can actually have a carefree night out! :)
I like Eversave and I LOVE Southern Savers!!
My favorite staycation idea is ribs and all the fixings with my kiddos, their friends, my friends and cornhole tournaments around the yard! Homemade ice cream and fireworks to finish it off!
I like both SouthernSavers and Eversave on Facebook and follow both of them :)

We would head out to Ft. Mcrae on our boat with the entire family and relax in the water all day. And probably head over to our favorite restaurant (Papa's Pizza) on the boardwalk and have dinner. That would be a great staycation and wonderful family time!!! I like Southernsavers and Eversave on Facebook!
I am registered with Eversave – Sprinklers and hoses and water tables outside a tent in our backyard… That is our staycation
But we could staycation anytime anyhow since Seaworld, Disney World and Universal are in our back yard

I'm an Atlanta girl and my plan for this year's summer staycation is the Atlanta CityPass. It's a one-price ticket to all of Atlanta's main attractions. You can go to the Zoo, the Aquarium, tour the CNN Center, visit the World of Coca-Cola, Fernbank Museum, the High Museum, and I believe a few other places. It's a great deal and usually costs around $50-70 for admission to 6 different attractions. Love it!
My idea of a staycation would be to blow up our classy inflatable pool, set out some chairs, and bbq pretending we are at the beach!
Best staycation is heading to the nearest zoo or aquarium
A nice staycation would include movies galore and lots of take out dinners !
:)
My staycation would include a BBQ and pool time with the family and bringing my neice to the zoo!
My staycation would be to have our family be “unplugged” and home together with nothing planned for a day….making pancakes (with funny faces, out of blueberries/strawberries/bananas/etc.) together in the morning, crafts/bubbles/painting outside, picnic lunch at our neighborhood pool (and swimming), reading/quiet time in the afternoon, making our own pizzas for supper, with puzzle/games and s'mores and sparklers afterwards!
All signed up and “like” on facebook.

Best staycation is in your backyard! Set up a fair in the backyard… each activity “costs” a certain number of homemade tickets ((fun for your kids to make). Do things like tug of war, water relay races, obstacle courses, tag, etc and eat and drink your kids (and your) favorite foods!

I live in FL, so staycations here are the BEST! If I had $500 for a staycation, I would take my family to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure for a weekend. We could stay on site and get into the parks early.
My favorite staycation is barba que at home with friends and family that ends in great Bunco game. Had to post twice beacuse one wouldn't post. Sorry.
Stone Mountain is fun!
I liked both!
Going on a hike with my husband and bringing a picnic lunch! (And of course picking up an ice cream cone on the way home :)
I subscribe to SouthernSavers on Facebook
We like to swim, so our staycation will include getting a hotel room right here in town for the night that has a pool. We'll usually go out for ice cream and a quick dinner. Then it's popcorn and movies in the room, since we don't have any of the premium channels at home.
jill24295@yahoo.com
My best Staycation is to go to one of the four beautiful beaches by boat each day for a long and relaxing weekend. With so many to choose from they are all a quick boat ride away and with the help of the gift card for gas and food – It would wonderful!

So, we will go to the kids' $1 movies one day; minature golfing (using Groupon) on another; get frozen yogurt (another Groupon); we will do the free music series with a picnic dinner and we may even go to a game of our local minor league baseball team.
A camp out in the backyard.

I like Eversave and Southern Savers on facebook
We live near a beautiful lake so our staycation involves getting out there and enjoying the water.
My parents only live about 45 minutes ago, so staying a Grandma's house for the weekend is always fun.
Setting up a pool and a water slide in the backyard for the kids.
A staycation for me would involve exploring our town by greenway. We'd get a map of the town's greenways and layout different circuits to ride each day for a couple of hours. Maybe we'd challenge ourselves to cover the entire system over the course of several days.
A staycation sounds great … maybe a visit to the local museums or a daytrip to the beach!
Ice cream party with the kids and their friends.
Go the the local swimming pool.
going to the neighborhood pool and pack a lunch
A staycation for us…We live near Detroit and there is so much to see and do. We would take the kids to the Detroit Zoo, a Tigers baseball game, Cranbook Institute of Science, Greenfield Village, Detroit Institute of Arts and the Woodward Dream Cruise. This is just a small list of things we could do on our staycation.
My idea of the perfect Staycation would be to have my children sleep ALL NIGHT for once, husband cook a nice breakfast for the family, and then we would all go somewhere fun for the day like the zoo or kids museum. Finally, we would end the day eating out at a nice restaurant which we don't get to do often because they are too expensive and we usually only eat at places we have B1G1 coupons for :-)
finding local attractions that the family has never been to before and support your community. Local dining, beaches, parks, etc…quality time w/the family :)
Going to the park & browsing the local antique shops!! :)
Letting the kids have sleepovers with friends.
A Staycation huh ! A vacation, at home! well… If it where really a literal stay at home vacation I would probably do a moroccan theme since I have always wanted to go and just cant afford to. I do tropical themed stuff all of the time so a moroccan theme would be a nice change. I would probably put up a tent during the day and hang outside at night so we can get a good look at the stars. I bring out all of my blankets, pillows, and cushions, drape sheets and curtains all over the inside of the tent. light some incense play some exotic moroccan music from online. I would get a good recipe off the internet and make some kind of meal in a tagine…yum! Now it would be time to break out the pretty glass wear & china and dust off the old serving tagine. put some spices out that are reminiscant of morocco i.e…cinnamon, clove, cumin etc…
lay out the pretty luxurious china and glass ware have traditional moroccan mint tea eat a moroccan meal by incense, music star & candle light and I personally would make a nice bonfire to set the exotic feel. Oh and I forgot the shameful attempts at belly dancing : ) That was day and night one! Day & night two is “Rueda de Espana” night! make some paella & tapas, invite friends over have some wine maby a good spanish rioja or even some sangria, have a fire, play some gypse kings music, or even spanish flamenco. It would be like a trip to morroco and spain. I am sure I would throw a massage in there some where. One could easily do an italian / greek staycation too!!!! Yum I love dolmades & tatziki…OPA!!!
Day at the beach to fly kites and build sandcastles!
And I like Eversave.

If its not too hot out, take the kids and do geocaching in our area. If its too hot like now, let the kids build a tent in the dining room with a comforter and the dining chairs. Swimming daily and roasting smores at night.
Check out some nearby attractions like Aquarium, world of coke, braves game and stone mountian :)
visiting local museums, weeknight concerts, camping in the backyard!
A great staycation is going to the Atlanta zoo. You can get 2 FREE Adult tickets and 2 FREE Children tickets by checking out a video from the Public Library and watching the video. Then you can go home and decorate your living room with a safari theme and watch the Lion King.

Neighborhood pool, camping in the yard (on a cool night), roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, and playing “yard” games is a great staycation.

We are actually having a staycation this year.. staying in Nashville and renting a pontoon boat on Percy Priest Lake on day, then going zip lining and canoeing the next day over the Harpeth River. We have a group of about 10 people for each day.. SO FUN!!!
My idea of a great staycation is visiting the local musem, zoo, letting the kids stay up late and camping out in the living room. (I liked both Southern Savers & Eversave)
A great Birmingham staycation would be getting to know the city by walking through downtown, going to the farmers market, eating at locally owned restarants, buying locally made gifts, and going to the zoo. The next day of course Alabama Adventure!
My best idea of a staycation is camping in the backyard and making S'mores over our fire pit!
A wonderful staycation would be to stay at the Arrowhead inn 30 minutes from my house and spending a day at the state fair with my husband.

Camping at Pensacola Beach
I just love a good stay at home good time! We buy our favorite “junk foods” and pile on the bed for a marathon of America funniest videos!
Our “staycation” includes several goups of friends enjoying a riverside campout at one friends house, complete with campfire cooking, fishing and water games! We even finished off the evening with storytime! All this fun and no one travels more than 12 miles to attend!
My daughters dream of flying to Hawaii for a vacation….a great “Hawaiian Staycation” would be to bring Hawaii to my daughters! Luau, traditional hawaiian luau food, music, dance, and games all in a “beach setting” in our backyard…that would be right on target! :)

Perfect Staycation: Experiencing all that the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer.
As hot as it is, I would probably visit the waterparks here in Nashville or go to the science museum and our kids museum close by. Hire a sitter and actually have a date night.
My idea of a perfect staycation would be to visit a day spa with my husband. He's been pulling about 60 hour work weeks for the last 8 months, and I know he could use a break. A spa day isn't the sort of thing he'd do by himself, but he'd go with me. I know it would do the both of us a world of good!
My staycation is relaxing by the pool and watching the kids play!
A great staycation for us would be camping at Lake Blackshear which is about an hour away.
Camping in the woods behind our house. Dutch oven cooking & roasted marshmallows.
My idea of the perfect staycation is going to the lake just south of my parent's house. Swimming in White Lake and quarter after quarter dumped into the skeeball machines at the lakeside arcade were always a highlight of my childhood summers. My brother and I spent countless hours laughing at ourselves in the arcade's funhouse mirrors and pretending to ride the “waves” created by the wake of speedboats in the water. Our adventurous days were always followed by dinner at a local eatery and chocolate dipped soft serve on the pier. I'm excited to create new memories there with my my own children!
Best staycation: Playing in the sprinkler with my toddler, camping in the living room, matinee movies and popcorn, and a walk down the street to the local Bruster's.
Best staycation is camping at a local state park with my hubby and dogs. Not much more relaxing and inexpensive than that!

Staycation delight — hiring a professional organizer and cleaning out closets/attic, relining kitchen cupboards, donating unused items, organizing favorite recipes and finally putting photos in a scrapbook. Evening walks with my hubby, children and dog.
I also registered with Eversave on their own website– my idea is simple, but fun! I would like to do a themed staycation day like going to the zoo and then eating at a vegetarian restaurant, or having sushi and then watching a kung fu movie!
Playing with our little girl outside in the sprinkler then snuggling up to watch a movie!
Fishing in the back yard and trying to catch a “bopper” (whopper) with our three year old on Saturday evening!
My staycation would include NO house cleaning, NO laundry and a stack of books to read while laying on the sofa with a big glass of iced tea! ;-)
I follow Southern Savers and Eversave on FB.

our staycation is using our pool and i make a pina colada and put a little umbrella in it!
We could picnic at a local lake or beach, visit historic sites in our hometown, or go to a local museum. Many times there are lots of things to do in our hometown, but we overlook them because we want to get away to do something.
I just joined eversave.
Here's my idea of a great staycation:
Go tubing down the river at Harper's Ferry, WV, then head home for bbq'd burgers and hotdogs, followed by a good bonfire with smore's for everyone! (don't forget the bug spray to keep those mosquitos at bay!)
I also like Eversave & Southern Savers on Facebook.

My staycation is going to the zoo or playing kickball in the backyard
I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, GrabPenny.com
I liked EverSave and Southern Savers on FB! Thanks!!
Owe how i love target. it would be a great thing to win the $25 giftcard. A staycation would have a pool, slipandslide, a bbq with fruits and all kinds of side dishes. Would have friends and families over. Also would make it look like the beach. Oh how that giftcard would come in handy.
I live in Charleston so there a lot of fun touristy things to do. The Riverdogs baseball games of lounging on the beach are good cheap options.
I like Eversave and SouthernSavers on FB!
I would get some projects done.
IF my family would let me… we'd turn the back yard into a beach and the house into a tropical paradise and not leave for a week!

My kids are really wanting to try coconut milk. We are trying to plan a Hawaii night and drink milk from a coconut, have fresh pinapple, Have hawaiian food, and wear grass skirts. We have a pool, so we can put out tiki torches and decorate like the islands!

Well, one family is on it's way from France this very minute. Some “staycation” huh!?! The rest of the twenty-five are converging on the grandparents so that we can use our food bought with coupons. All products needed bought with coupons, thanks to the help from Southern Savers. We're going to have the best five-year reunion ever! Sure could use the gift card for just the little extras we will do without otherwise.

Great Staycation is wandering through local various flea markets and consignment shops, catching a movie or two, and eating at cool local restaurants. My husband and I love to do this as our special time together and being able to do it for a few days would be lovely. For a staycation we would probably expand that to some nearby towns/cities. I am a member of Eversave and, of course, a fan of it and SS on FB!
I liked both Eversave and Southern Savers on facebook.
My best idea for a staycation would be to take my husband and children to the Children's museum of the upstate. It is right in town, but because it costs us $38 as a family to go, I have only gone there on a field trip with my son. My husband and daughter have never been there. I would also go to the local zoo, since we are yearly members there. My husband and I are trying to lose weight, so we like to put the kids in our bike trailer and take them for a ride on our Swamp Rabbit bike trail in town (completely free!).
I would love to just sit on my back porch and enjoy watching my kids play. I know that wouldn't require a lot of money, but we are paying to have the screen put on our deck and the giftcard would be enough to buy us food for our staycation! I love it!
Just going to the beach which is an easy 10 minutes away.
Living room picnic
We never vacation during the summer – there is too much to do here during that time! We visit our local zoo, science center and amusement park. There are also weekly trips to the library and hopefully some pool visits in there too!
I like both on facebook

I like both eversave and southernsavers on fb.
Local museums are awesome!

local museum, zoo, swimming pool.
My fav staycation is to go on little day trips that are close to home. Whether its a state or national park or window shopping, we always have a fun day without spending very much. On bad weather days, popcorn, homemade pizza and movies are our fav.
I live in Atlanta so we like to go to Piedmont Park. They have screen on the green where you can watch great movies out on the lawn for free!
I am already a fan of both of these great sites!
visit an attraction in town we have never been before
My staycation is to build my own mini beach in my backyard. Put up a little pool on some sand, throw the grill beside it, and just pretend we are on vacation.
I have liked Eversave and Southernsavers on Facebook.
We plan to camp in the backyard with our firepit on hand. :)
Our staycation would included taking our 19 month old daughter somewhere nearby that we haven't been to yet, like the Safari Zoo about 40 miles away from us.
Agood book and the time to finish it.
A day at the zoo with a picnic and ice cream.
I would love to just stay at home and have a Friends marathon. Just enjoy some laughs and possibly make myself a pina colada smoothie or two. I basically don't want to head out and or get ready–just stay in pjs and bum around for a few days–that's the ultimate staycation for me! :) p.s. signed up with them!
I like you both on facebook as Dee G
My husband is such a hardworker and we have never taken a family vacation. We take them with our parents but never alone. His hours do not allow much time as a family seeing as he leaves by 8 and gets home at about 7 and we have 3 kids under 5. So a staycation would be Amazing. We would use the money to take advantage of all our areas activities like the zoo, lion country safari, the waterpark, the pool, and the beach.
A day out of the heat and enjoying some museums, followed by a dip in the pool at dusk and a night at my favorite wine bar.
I live in the NW and am very close to Seattle. Funny that I frequent the “SOUTHERN Savers” site, but since I'm in the NW I would hit the rocky shores of the Puget Sound and picnic at the bay with my family. We would also like to take the ferry to a place we haven't been and explore a free park. Lastly, it would be really nice to visit the aquarium that I've heard is a must see. I like eversave and southernsavers on facebook. Thanks for the giveaway and for the other tips and tricks you send our way.
We haven't taken our kids to the zoo or waterpark, EVER! I really want to do something fun before #1 starts kindergarden.
I “like” both on FB.
A trip to the beach. I liked eversave & southernsavers on facebook,
We love to go to the Detriot Zoo, all it costs us is gas since we have a zoo membership. Sometimes to buy food, but many times we bring a picnic.
My favorite staycation would be going out and exploring our city!
I like Eversave and Southern Savers on Facebook.
I have done this Like Eversave & SouthernSavers on Facebook
Our staycation would be taking our 19 month old daughter to the Shedd Aquarium. It is nearby, but we haven't taken her there yet.
camping with family and friends at a local state park is a great staycation!
We bought a tent this year, and the kids love to pitch it in the backyard- indoor plumbing is just a few steps away!

As long as I don't have to work, I'm satisfied!
Staycation with $500 bucks to spend…..three words… Girls Nights Out! I would love to have my three daughters invite all their girlfriends to a weekend getaway “staycation” in my backyard. I would use the money to buy the biggest tent I could find,a fire pit and yummy campfire goodies. We could make a weekend out of fishing at the lake across the street and sleeping under the stars!
camping in the back yard
Liked both
I like SS and Eversave!
Camping at the nearby lake
What I would plan is a movie night. Instead of the drive in, we could use our projector and set up a movie on one section of the back of the house. Would be cool to set up a popcorn stand, and make funnel cakes. It would be a really fun for both the kids and the adults.
Have a cookout with family in your backyard and bring in some water slides and bouncy houses.
I would plan a backyard water party for my girls. I'd with lots of water toys, snow cones and whatever else looks like fun! We'd invite all our friends and have a ball!

Take kids to nearby amusement parks/water parks/zoo/aquarium during the day, then fun things at night like camping out in backyard, hot dogs and smores over the fire, and maybe a night at the drive-in movie.
I'm a facebook fan.
For staycation, I'd like to take my family out for dinner, then enjoy a movie at a local theater and finish with some ice cream or cookies.
FB fan of both (trung nguyen)
I had a sort of staycation last week, I drive 3 hours to visit my parents and family about once a month usually just for a weekend. Last week I took some time off and stayed the whole week. My best tip is this: If you are close to an interstate find a rest stop/visitor center near you and head in there. I stopped at one on my way there and found all sorts of neat things to do in the town I grew up in. There were tons of informational brochures and some even had coupons in them. If you are not close to a visitor center look online at your state or local tourism office for great things to do locally that you may have forgotten about or never even knew about.
I like both Southern Savers and Eversave on Facebook.
I will be going to a museum and a park.
Like both on facebook.
I like Southern Savers and Eversave on Facebook.
We would have a weekend of fun in our hometown of Montgomery, AL. Go to the Zoo, go to the movies, eat out at our favorite restaurants, go to a Montgomery Biscuits baseball game, shop at Bass Pro Shops and let the kids buy what they wanted with the rest of the $500.
We'd pull out the canopy and the blow up pools and create our own resort! Nothing better than relaxing in your own backyard! Of course we might do some local events if there was anything going on.
I like you both!
I live in Alachua County. My dream staycation would be to canoe the most beautiful part of the Santa Fe River from Oleno State Park. Then camp at the Santa Fe Canoe Outpost and take their moonlight canoe trip, watching the animals come up to the water's edge at night while we glide softly by. Then canoe to the beautiful Poe, Blue, and Ginnie Springs the next day, to swim, explore, and take pictures. Then return home for rest and bike the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail the next morning and eat at my favorite restaurant, the Bonefish Grill, that evening. The next morning, we would visit the thousands of gators roaming free at the Alachua Sink, part of the Paynes Prairie Preserve, and take lots of pictures. Then go to St. Augustine beach for a couple of days to bask in the sun and feel the sand on my feet while my family plays in the ocean.
I like Eversave and Southernsavers on facebook.

For my staycation especially on a budget is to go to a movie and a nice lunch right after :) My son gets to pick the movie so he feels like he got a choice in the matter ^.^

I would take the kids to the local Children's museum and waterparks in the area. There are so many fun things to do around here!
I like Eversave and Southern Savers on Facebook.
I'd play tourist with my kids. Since we live near a resort town there are lots of things to do but we never do them because they cost so much. We'd go for a surrey ride on the boardwalk, go on some rides, and go to restaurants that we never get to go to. I'd also take my husband parasailing because he's never been.
Take a picnic lunch to the park and play ball or frisbee, spend the day at the lake, try out a new restaurant, visit some local attractions. And one day spend the entire day in your pj's watching movies!
Just joined Eversave!!!
Camping out in the backyard!

With having one daughter ready to begin her third year of college and another her first year of college out of state there will be No vacation away from home this summer for our family.
The closest we will come to to the beach is filling up our two grandson's wading pool to sit in and cool off!!
I planted some palm trees around our backyard pool, so I can make believe we're at a carribbean resort.
I like eversave & SS on FB.
I like Southern Savers on Facebook.
I love to take the girls to the zoo and children's museum. We have the mountains within a day-trip distance, so that is always fun too.
I like southern savers on facebook.
My idea of a great staycation would be visiting the Historic sites in our area and not to have to cook while doing so.
just liked Eversave, have liked Southern Savers for some time. Thanks!!
My ideal staycation involves day spa treatments and some quiet relaxing movie night w/my S.O. :)
go to Carowinds, sliding rock or swim at the pool!
I would build a sheet fortress in my living room with my boys. Then we would climb in and eat pizza and smores while we watched their favorite movies.
Our Staycation would involve day hikes in the Cherokee National Forest, which is practically in our backyard, followed by movie nights at home over take-out!
i LOVE southern savers. too bad there's not a love button on FB! :))
Relaxing at the park playing frisbee with my husband.
Our staycation would involve going to the beach (only about 30 minutes from us) and most likely a trip to the zoo!
I like Eversave and SouthernSavers on fb!
Our staycation would involve hitting up the beach for the day and then trying out the zoo or some of the local parks!
Best Staycation idea: doing all the tourist stuff in the area! :-) I have been here for a year and have yet do to some classics.
My best staycation idea is just a simple picnic to the park. We live close to the lake and there is a park area that you can go out to. It is so pretty and so we pack a picnic basket and the baseball gloves, frisbies and put on your bathing suits and there you go. It is a really nice thing to do when money is limited and you just need a break.
I liked eversave and southernsavers
I like to go to a pool and swim and relax and soak up the sun.
We would go to a local theme park and invite everyone we knew. Then go camping!!
my best staycation is when we created our own waterpark in the back yard for our kids, we had water spraying everywhere, slide, basketball hoop, our kiddy pool my little toddlers loved it!! We enjoyed it too!
We would try all the resturaunts around us that we never have time to try!
My best staycation would be renting a bunch of movies, making a bowl of popcorn and staying out of the heat.
My best idea of a staycation is to go to a local campground especially one that has some historical and/or fun things to do in the area and camp out, swim, fish, go to a local attraction and just enjoy hanging out with the family. I love doing this because it not only saves money, but the money I do spend goes into the local economy helping local businesses! And, there's the added benefit of being away from home, yet close enough that at the end, you can get home quickly, not spending long hours traveling.
For example, I live close to many historic sites and parks so camping near one of them offers 2 great options, the campground amenities i.e. pool, lake, etc. and a local historic park to tour and enjoy!
Our staycation would be getting my family together for outdoor bbqs all day long and camping in our back yard complete with roasting marshmellows! The next day would be a scavanger hunt along the beach finding cool animals and learning new things for my children!
I'm really blessed to live in Pensacola, FL so the possibilities are endless as it's such a beautiful place!
My staycation would involve going to the local water park with the family and then to play miniature golf. My girls would love this!!
I liked Eversave and Southern Savers on FB!!
We would do a trip to the local beach and bouncy house. My 3 year old would have a blast!
My husband & are are committed to time away from the kids every year to reconnect. We'd put the kids with the cousins for a weekend. We'd do all of the things we can never afford to do otherwise. We'd go out for a nice dinner, see a movie in the theater, buy a piece of local art and sleep in late.
I think a fun BBQ one weekend with friends and family would be a good staycation.
I like you both on Facebook.
An outing to the lake is always fun and not to expensive.
My favorite staycation is curling up on the couch with a good book or movie and doing no cooking except maybe grilling hamburgers.
i would love to swim with the dolphins… i've always wanted to do that!!! :-)
i would love to swim with the dolphins… i've always wanted to do that! :-)
My favorite idea for a staycation is pre-planned meals and camping indoors…with activities planned for each day as well. If you look hard enough, you can find plenty of cheap or even free activities to keep your family busy for a few days!
My favorite stay-cation is a backyard camping trip! Nothing to “pack” and access to “public” restrooms that are clean! All the excitement of a vacation with the conveinence of never leaving home!
i'm a fan of both of ya! :)
the best staycation would be to be a tourist in my own city–take a few days to check out all the local museums–art, natural history–and eat out at a new place every night. forget about the old ho-hum regular go-to places and really explore new options. i dn't know if staycations mean you absolutely have to stay at your own home, b/c i think it'd be nice to find a nice, but inexpensive, hotel to stay in one night (or two) and have a spa service or something. really make the most of it and RELAX! :)
I “liked” Eversave and SS on FB!!
My favorite staycation is “camping” out in the living room with my favorite 2 people..husband and son. We love to watch movies, play board games and eat popcorn:) What could be better than just spending time with my family!

My favorite staycation would be to have my mom & dad come over with the horse & buggy and take my two yr. old son for a ride…he loves driving them horses with his paw paw. Then we would grill out and pitch a tent in the backyard.
I like eversave and SS on FB
My are has some of the best lil concerts around. Just running downtown is a blast with all the small shops and trips down memory lane.
A fun staycation idea would be to house swap with a friend that lives near you. You don't have to worry about your home, because it's someone you trust, and the scenery is different so it feels like you are away from home…even if you only 10 minutes down the road. :-)
I liked Eversave and Southern Savers on FB!
My perfect staycation would include visiting our local aquarium in Tampa, FL where I live. I would also love to take my 2 little ones, ages 3 & 6 to the new Winnie the Pooh movie coming out as well as visiting a water park :)

Since flying is so expensive, I would love to just do local vacationing so that we can drive there at leisure and drive back before everyone gets on everyone's nerves.

A great staycation for us would be to the nearby (30+ mins or so) beach. Great food, beach spots, sightseeing (aquarium & much more!).
My favorite staycation would be to get a 3 foot deep pool for my autistic son who is scared to leave the house to go to the water park but loves to swim.
My best idea for a staycation is to visit all of the wonderful County Parks around my area.

Staycation – rebuild our deck that was damaged during a storm and mulch under our new swingset so we can fire up the smoker and invite friends over to play and hang out!
I'm in Montgomery, AL, and the best staycation for me would be a weekend of picking berries at one of the local farms, enjoying a homemade cobbler, and finishing it all off with a Montgomery Biscuits game (the minor league baseball team). Then see if we can bum a swim in a neighbor's pool. :)
I like southern savers and eversave on facebook!
My idea of a staycation: Sleep in until I wake naturally — no alarms or kids waking me before I'm ready — in fact, let's have Daddy get up early and take the rascals out to breakfast, so I wake up in a quiet house. Then have a cup of coffee while I do the crossword puzzle, take a long shower and when I'm ready — and only when I'm ready — head to the beach to meet my husband and kids. End the day at home watching a movie (one we ALL like) and sharing a big bowl of popcorn.
I like you and Eversave on FB
For a staycation I would sleep in, then eat a leisurely breakfast cooked by my boyfriend. Afterward we would drive out to the lake and spend some time there. We would end the day with dinner at a nice restaurant.
I like Eversave and Southern Savers.
on facebook…
My staycation would be sleeping in with no clocks. My DH making breakfast and kiddos cleaning up for me…
Take a day and go to the zoo or horseback riding in a neighboring town!
Like you both on FB!
It's easy to have a stay-cation when you live in the Philadelphia area, so much to do! I'd go to the Franklin, or the Philadelphia Zoo, have a picnic @ Fairmount Park, or visit Reading Terminal Market. You can do a living history day by wandering through the Independence National Park, see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Gotta love Philly!
for a staycation, i love lots of DVD rented w/ popcorn, and camping out in the back yard
My best idea is here in Charleston, SC. Middleton Place has gardens, a historic home site and an inn that you can stay at!
My staycation would be eat and sleep as long as I can. No cooking, no cleaning no working at all. Relaxing the whole day and enjoying music.
Pretend that we are vacationing and enjoy all the tourist
attractions around town- (emscout9 at Hotmail dot com)

My favorite staycation which my husband and I take advantage of frequently is dinner/movie …but not just any dinner/movie! We either cook dinner together at home and have a fabulous coupon that gets us goodies.. then tuesday nights, our local discount movie theater features movies for $.75/ticket! What a bargain! ;)
