chic fil a free food

July 8th is Cow Appreciation Day.  Show up at any Chic-Fil-A and get Free food! If you dress from “head to hoof” you get an entire free meal.  If you are only in a partial costume, you still get a free entree.

Chick-Fil-A even provides a Cow Costume Kit to help all of us take advantage of this deal and celebrate Cow Appreciation Day!

LOL, they always do this the week I visit my family in Iowa.  There is a Chick-Fil-A in Des Moines but I am not driving 35 miles to eat something I eat on the way to work all the time!

    • Bpinzer

Woohoo!traveling from PA to SC that day and that sounds like a free lunch for us! Plus, since we'll be in the van all day, no weird stares! Lol!

There's several close to me at work at home…so that means…I'm going to pass on this  like I always do. Free food is great, but dressing up is too silly for me.

Please get a sense of humor – Our whole family dresses up for this event. Even the shy ones have developed into excellent fun-loving “bovines” My husband (52 year old construction worker) always tells us,” Remember, folks, I am not a cow – I am a bull!” We have assured him Chick-Fil-A bovines are gender neutral. Last year we saw an 80 plus year old man and his wife, fully dressed as “cows” – he was shuffling along with a walker – they were having a blast! Our local store allows us to choose a free meal from ANYTHING on the menu! (And the “herd” usually gathers on one side of the restaurant)

we have never done this before but sounds like good clean family fun!

      • Luci

It is. :)) Our older child insists that her costume have a tail each year. The younger one doesn't know what to expect.

    • Amy

      How fun!

    • Kjn_3

if your whole family dresses up does each person get a free meal ?????
i think the kids would enjoy this one sounds like fun.

      • Laceytrumbo

yep!  everyone who is dressed up gets one :)

Last year we got white trash bags and let the younger kids cut “spots” out of black construction paper and tape them to the trash bags.  We cut a hole in the bag to slip over their head and made cow head bands to wear.  We had a great time!  This year will be our 3rd time!

I'm dying to see the publix ad…

    • Smm

This sounds like alot of fun. What is the difference between a free meal and a free entree? Doesn't it mean the same thing? And if you use the costume kit does it count as fully dressed?

      • guest

Free entree is just the sandwich of nuggets.  Free meal includes fries and a drink.  You are supposed to get a free meal if you make an effort to dress like a cow from head to toe.

    • Ke32201

any other ideas on making the costume?

    • Benjamietaylor

I would really like to let me kids do this!  I hope we have time today!
