Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

I know I’m not alone and we all have “those” weeks.  This was one for us.  With something different going on every day I never had time to sit and gather coupons for a big shopping trip.

When those weeks happen it’s always best to still head to the store and get the items you need that are on sale rather than skipping a week of shopping.  Following sale cycles, if you take a week of from shopping the items on sale this week won’t be back on sale for 6 more weeks.  So only skip a week of shopping if you have 6 weeks worth already!

I made my shopping list and went to the store with a whopping 4 coupons.  We grabbed just the items that I knew we wouldn’t have 6 weeks worth and headed home.  Even with only 4 coupons we still managed to save 50% on our total.

Bi-Lo Totals

Total Purchase Value: $98.66
Total Spent: $48.11
Total Saved: $50.55

While it may not be wowing or even fun… the important part is staying stocked so we don’t have to pay full price for things.
