Our families focus this year has been on showing more hospitality to others.  I don’t mean entertaining more, they aren’t really the same words in my book.  I mean opening our home and hearts to folks in our church and community that need to be loved on.  We’ve had folks over for Sunday lunch, Monday Dinner, hikes through the woods, just about anything that we can have more people at our doors are open.  It’s made for an amazing year, getting to know so many families better.

With all this hospitality, our budget and creativity has been a little stretched.  I don’t want to serve the same meals over and over again, not only for the guests for also for the sake of my crew.  You can only eat a meal so many times…  One thing I’ve learned through all of it, is that it doesn’t have to be home made.  The folks you have over, are there to enjoy your company.  They would actually rather you not be slaving in the kitchen the entire time, frazzled because something didn’t turn out right.  For the holidays I have a started adding microwavable Jose Ole products to my list for easy go to snack and finger foods.  It’s so easy to put fun mini tacos, quesadillas or taquitos on a platter and then enjoy the time with others.  With all the basic holiday dishes that everyone brings out every year, this is a great way to be different!  No more ham and pimento sandwiches for me…

To add some extra fun to your Jose Ole appetizers, with no added work add a few dips to your tray like spicy salsa, sour cream, and even ranch dressing (that’s our 4 yr olds addition).  Cut cup fresh limes to decorate the platter as well.  My girls also like to grate fresh cheese and put that over the top before we microwave (one can never have enough cheese in my book).

If you are up for spicing things up and having a fiesta night, check out a new $2 off Jose Ole products coupon.

The awesome part about this coupon, for every download Jose Ole will also donate $2 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals up to $100,000.  Having formerly worked in a CMN hospital with cancer patients I know that this will be used to light up so many little faces!
