expo dry erase markers

There is an awesome new coupon for $2 off any 2 packs of Expo Markers!

This makes them FREE at Walgreens this week.

(2)Expo Markers 2 pk., 99¢
-$2/2 off Expo Markers,  printable
(makes both FREE)

This coupon will probably go fast, so print it now.

    • Learning

Do you just go in and ask for  Walgreens Booklet or where do you get these booklets?

      • I find mine with the sales papers up front.

      • Rmtuckergang

Inside front door of Walgreen's. Normally it's on a stand as you walk in and some stores will have them inside of the small carry around shopping basket

    • Ky's Mom 2

hi the coupon says 2 pk, will this transaction cause the computer to beep?

      • The coupon says “any 2 packs” which means you have to buy 2 packs.. not a “2pack of markers” … I know it was confusing to me too ;)

        • Ky's Mom 2

          Thanks a bunch

      • Wwkkss07

The coupon is for $2 off of 2 separate packs of Expos not a pack with 2 markers in it.  The coupon in the Walgreens Aug Booklet is for Washable markers though, and when I went today these were not $3.99.  However, if you get the 2 of the 2 packs for .99 each, they are both free without using the Walgreens booklet coupon.

        • Ky's Mom 2

Thanks for keeping me on track. :)

    • Curious

Where can I get the Walgreens Aug. Booklet?

      • In the store, at the front near their sales papers.

    • AMS

      Where is coupon?

      • Rwilson

        I found it on coupons(dot)com

      • Brendajp

        look at the office supplies

    • Jenhogue4

where do I find the Walgreen's August booklet?

      • Rmtuckergang

Inside front door of Walgreen's. Normally it's on a stand as you walk in and some stores will have them inside of the small carry around shopping basket.

    • Learning

So let me make sure I get this straight…

      I buy…
      2 Packs of Markers

      I use…
      2 – $2.00 Off 1 Pack (printable)
      2 – $3.00 off 1 Pack Walgreens Booklet

Walgreens will let me stack their coupon + a manufacturers?

      • JenW

Yes, you can stack at Wags.  They HAVE to scan the mfg coupon first, then the Wags coupon, or else it won't take the mfg coupon.  Some cashiers know this, some don't (or don't care…)

        • Tonij

Can you use 2 walgreens coupons and 1 mfg coupon? I saw on another website where the lady posted you can, but I thought it was 1 store coupon and 1 mfg coupon.

      • Beck

actually, the printable coupon is for $2 off 2 packs of markers, and you only have to use 1 of the walgreens store coupons, it will take the amount off for each of the same item. so, you would get 2 packs of markers @ $3.99 each, the total would be $7.98 (plus tax). You would hand the cashier one of the $2 off 2 printable manufacturer's coupon 1st, then 2nd hand her/him the $3 Walgreens store coupon (which will actually take off $6, since you have 2 of the same item), and you should only have to pay tax, since you've given $8 worth of coupons. hope it works out for you!

      • JrCouponator

FYI – my printable came out as $2 off of 2 packs…not $2 off of 1 pack.

    • Jill

I tried printing two of these and they didn't print.  Now it shows that print limit was reached.  All of my other coupons did so I know my printer is working.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

      • Jackie

Did you check your printer queue?  Ever since I got the new OS for Mac the coupons will sometimes show up in the queue but it says “error”, then when I highlight the task and click resume or retry (can't remember which) it will print.

        • Jill

Yes, I did before posting on here but thank you for the suggestion.  That has happened to me before too. :)

          • Jill

I turned my printer off and then back on and they finally printed! :)  It didn't show and error message but didn't know what else to try.

      • tms161

I have had the same problem with one MAC at my house.   I can print fine from another MAC though.  I have never been able to figure it out…..

thanks. I know the schools need these every year and they can be EXPENSIVE!!!

    • Jonescouponqueen

Can anyone tell me how to get a Walgreens Coupon Booklet?

      • Cheryllou1

They have them when you go into the store next to the store ads. If you don't see them just ask the cashier!

    • Fernandor

I found the coupon but when I press on the red “PRINT COUPONS” button it does not print. I downloaded and installed again the Coupon Printer without any luck. Other than trying again later, any ideas? I am interested in the Markers and the Welch grape juice coupons. Thanks.

      • Tonij

depends on the browser you are using….I'm on a MAC and can only print some on firefox and can print others on Safari.

    • Kristie

Does the Walgreens coupon say “Manufacturer coupon” on it?  I have had so many problems with Walgreens not accepting a clipped manufacturer's coupon and a Walgreens booklet coupon because it states it is a manufacturer's coupon at the top (even though we all know it isn't).  I have spoken to the manager and called corporate and get no where.  Just wanted to know if anyone knew what the coupon states.  Thanks for your help.

      • Rmtuckergang

Have you tried ringing everything up, handing only the Walgreen's coupons and then handing the manufacturer coupons?

        • Kristie

Yes, I have and either way it beeps.  The manager told me it is because their coupon is a manufacturer's coupon and you can't use 2 manufacturer's coupons on 1 item.

      • Rmtuckergang

or vice versa. Check their coupon policy. Some stores you will need to use store coupons first and then manuf. coupon. Then other stores will require just the opposite

    • Newbie

The coupon in the booklet is for the washable markers, which are more expensive than $3.99.

    • Michele

Be careful when not giving your Walgreens coupon first. If there is any overage after all coupons are scanned, the Walgreens coupon will only take off for 1 purchase, not 2 ($3 instead of $6). It will save a lot of hassle to scan the Walgreens coupon first, so you get $6 off and then the manager can adjust the manufacturer's coupons, so there is no overage. Or you would need to add a small filler item to your purchase to bring your total up so there is no overage.

I suspect that this particular scenario will not work anyway, since the Walgreens coupon is for the washable markers and they are higher priced.

    • Rmtuckergang

Walgreen's also has 2 pack of black chisel point on sale for 0.99.

    • The Walgreen's coupon, doesn't match the Expo Markers at $3.99 but the ones priced at $5.99 Washable ~~ So this deal is not really correct. Thanks for the information anyway!

      • Tonij

The sale to get these free starts on 8/14

    • Holly

So, can you buy two of the $.99 2 pack markers and use the printed coupon to get them free?

      • Holly

My add has a four pack of markers for $1.99, so you can buy two packs and still use the coupon.  It isn't free, but 2 packs ($1 a pack) is pretty good!

        • Jaimie R

The manufacturer’s coupon from coupons.com is for $2 off ANY 2 packs on Expo markers. It doesn’t state a minimum so yes, you can use the coupon for the 99 cents packs and get those free.

      • Kristie

I think the coupon is only good on any 4 pack of Expo markers.  So I don't think you can use it on a 2 pack.  Like Holly said, you could buy 2 (4 count) packs and get them for .99 cents each which still isn't bad.

        • Candace

The coupon reads $2.00 off ANY 2 packs of Expo Markers.  That means you can buy ANY TWO packs and get $2.00 off.  It has NOTHING to do with the amount of markers in the pack.  It could be a 2-pack or a 20-pack and it wouldn't matter.

      • Lacy

I bought the $.99 2 pack and a $1.99 4 pk thin marker ( kids HAVE to have both sizes for school?) and the coupon worked for me.  Made it $.98 for both!  HTH!

      • Kari

Yes, I just got back frrom Walgreens. I got 4 packs of the .99. The first coupon went thru no problems, the 2nd beeped so the manager came over there and overrided. So I got 4 packs of the markers and a pack of the crayola crayons for $1.35

    • Jaimie R

Yep, the Walgreens coupon is for $3 off any Washable expo markers…The ones on sale for $3.99 aren't washable. However, they have a 4 pack (red, blue, green, black) on sale for $1.99, which would make them $1 each w/ the manufacturer coupon, or a 2 pack of black Expo markers is on sale for 99 cents, so you'll get those free!

    • Lauren A.

This sale will be next week on the 6 ct!

    • Kimberlysuem

Just left Walgreens and they would not let me use the coupon on the
2pks. :(   And the $3 off Walgreens coupon is for the 6 pk.

      • Kimkooks

I just did this deal at Walgreens and they had to adjust the $2 coupon down to $1.98. Great deal-4 packs just for tax!

        • Kimberlysuem

thanks, maybe i'll just try another store.

          • Lmartyak

Go to Walmart and tell them that Walgreens has the markers for 99cents.  They usually price match without a fuss.  Bring the ad, (you don't need it, but sometimes it helps a newer cashier).

        • Wwkkss07

I had to do the same thing…they took one $2 coupon and adjusted the other down to $1.96.  The cashier threw a fit and I had to nicely request that she ask the manager to come help.  She didn't want to take my second coupon and then she insisted that if she took it I had to buy another item.  The manager saved me :)

    • Tonij

      sale starts 8/14

      • Mweschler

Thanks for mentioning this…..now I won't go running to WAGS!  :)

    • Keanent

Thanks I printed 2 of them!

    • Cindybarlowe

coudn't get it to print–ran installer but then it said choose start at left bottom of screen.  my mac doesn't have that.  says it needs to be reg paper setting.  don't see that anywhere on the mac.

      • Csmith91

My mac also had trouble after the update, and my husband realized that Java needed to be reinstalled.  You might try that.

    • Shelley_ogburn

these were NOT on sale in Darlington, SC. They were 7.99 before the coupon and it had to be the washable ones. IF you really want a freebie, buy the 2 packs for .99 and use the 2.00 off 2 packs that you printed out.

    • BuckeyeSara1982

I'm confused. I just went to the store to get these and the 4 pack of wide color markers I saw was $4.99. Are you guys getting the skinny ones for .99? The 2 pack of fat black ones was $2.49. My husband is a teacher and he has to provide his own markers for his board and we could REALLY use these. Any help?

      • Mweschler

It's NEXT week….the 6 pk will be on sale.

      • Wwkkss07

I would check your sales paper.  Ours had the 2 pk of black markers advertised as 0.99 and the 4 pk for 3.99.  They might not have it on sale there or they might just not have it marked correctly on the shelf.

        • savvyshopper

My local Walgreens (Laurens, SC) didn't have any of the sales prices posted on the shelves. I took my sales paper with me to checkout & all the items rang up correctly! No problems at all!

    • Jdennis722

I just got back from Walgreens.  They had the 2-pack black markers for $0.99 in the in store add.  They were marked on sale on the wall, but not in the school supply section but did ring up correctly.
I bought two packs and used the printable coupon, and paid nothing for the markers.  I also bought 5 packs of the 10-count mechanical pencils for $0.39 and they seemed to have so limit, so all I paid was for those.
The printable link allowed me to print 2 coupons.  It reads “$2.00 off ANY 2 packs of EXPO markers, so the 2-count work :)

    • Mandyward67

The washable markers go on sale NEXT week!

    • Layla9541

Can I just say the Rome GA walgreens is horrible. Just tried to do this deal and they told me I had to buy a 4 pack or they could not take my coupon. The cashier was like sorry it won't take it. I asked for someone else to look at it and the 2nd guy said no, it had to be 4 pack even tho coupon says ANY 2 packs. I almost always have trouble at this store.

      • Lmartyaks

My Walgreens said the same thing.  So you know what?  I went to Walmart, price-matched and they took my coupon ;)  Sometimes its about the cashiers…well, whoever wants my business…they still get reimbursed.

        • Layla9541

That's a great idea!  Thank you!

    • Acdeb5

i just went to walgreens. and the coupon is for the 6 pk colored which are 7.99 each, so after both coupons they still ring 3.99 each. i did find the 2 pk for .99 cents . so i got 2pk of 2 markers for free.

    • Akreeves55

Well, they wouldn't take my coupon even after calling a manager UNTIL my husband put his items up with mine. I suppose because the markers were actually costing less than my coupon. Then it would take one of my coupons. I had Hubby ready to by 2 more packs with his coupon. Oh well, lesson learned. Make sure you spend at least as much in the store as coupon value you have in your hand before taxes. I will try again at the end of the week when I am back in town,

    • HotLantaMom

Covington, GA Walgreens does not have the $.99 Expo markers for that price. I looked in the Back to School section and the sale price was $1.99.

      • Mrs. M

The Conyers and Lithonia Walgreens have them at that price:)

    • Dee

      Walgreen’s 8/14
Buy 2 Expo Washable Dry Erase Markers 6pk $3.99 each
      Total = $7.98
Use the new $2/2 coupon found on Coupons.comPlus, use the $3/1 Walgreens coupon found in the August Coupon Booklet (will deduct $6)Final cost – 2 packs for FREE!!** Remember, this deal doesn’t start until 8/14.

      • ME

I was in the store today.  Sale price on the 6 pk is 7.99 and they already deducted the $3 coupon to make the price of $4.99.

      • Stephanieswalker08

how do you find the upcoming ads early?

    • There is also a $3 off coupon for the 6 pack in the Walgreens coupon book so it costs 4.99 buy the 2 pack for .99 get $2 off from the expo coupon  so final costs 3.98 for 1 6 pack and the 2 pack

    • Ang

Just went to Walgreens and bought 2 of the $.99 dry erase markers.  Was able to use the $2/2 coupon.  Dry erase markers are on my children's school supply lists so this was a GREAT deal for me.  Thank you Jenny.  Every little bit helps!!

    • Sharonbrown51307

Hey guys just to let you know I bought 2 of the four pack markers that are on sale for 1.99 and I was able to use two coupons. So I paid nothing for 8 markers! I don't know if this is a computer glitch or if the coupon is for $2.00 off of a 2pack or larger marker verses to individual packs of markers…. Good Luck!

      • Cherylannh27

My cashier here in NC tried that but the second coupon did not ring up

        • Dagnyd

This happened to me too!  I got my first one though.  She tried it a few times as different transactions, but it wouldn't go.  She said she had the same problem yesterday.

    • Cherylann

Although it says on the coupon “any” two packs not necessarily a two pack or a 4 pack I could not use it at the Walgrens here in Mint Hill NC because it was not ringing up for a 2 pack I had to purchase 2 four packs. The cashier said it was for a four pack because that was the pic on the coupon. I saved one of my coupons and will try at another one.

      • Cherylann, I am sorry that happened to you. Did you bring in your Walgreens Coupon policy?  I live in Richmond, VA and I was able to use it on the 2 pk that is on sale for .99 cents and I got 8 packs and only paid $0.32.

        • Vkostyal

I live near richmond but today I was in Newport News and I couldnt find the one for >99 cents?  I usualy go to the one on Laburnum!!

      • Thwcoupon

        Same in Travelers Rest SC

      • Taydalnik

That also happened to me. The cashier tried to say that I had to get the 4 pack because that what was on the picture but the coupon doesn't say that it had to be a 4 pack it says any. So the manager let me have it.

    • JillK

I'm glad you all are taking advantage of this coupon.  Consider sending some of these markers to school with your kids.  The teacher will really appreciate it!  (I know, I'm one and we get the off brand and they are not as good as the Expo.)

    • Kenitra1983

These markers are on our BTS list, so I'm really appreciative of this coupon. But my questions is, will I have trouble using it at Walgreens b/c the value of the coupon is more than the item? I tried to use a RR for $1 on .99 bleach and it didn't work. Has anyone used this coupon yet?

      • reynoldsja

I used mine yesterday.  I asked the manager to adjust the coupon and she did.

      • ErinnL

Walgreens coupon policy is to lower the price of the coupon- or adjust it. I've had trouble with this before so I just carry the policy with me.

        • BoxerMom

          Coupon policy on sale items:
          “Sale Items

Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on
sale.In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value
of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the
item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever
provided in exchange for any coupons.”
no where in the above statement says that Walgreens has to lower the coupon price when the item is on sale. It states that we can't accept coupons that exceed the selling price. If the register beeps its because the coupon is for $2/2 when you buy 2 of the 99 cent 2 pks you're only spending $1.98. The register knows this and beeps because the coupon exceeds the selling price. If you would add in a 3rd package you're getting 3/$2.97 after the coupon its 3/$.97, Its still a great deal!

          • Guest

Thanks boxer mom I fully understand now thank you for making it clear for us here. I sure do not want to cause problems in the store I like the program so far thanks again.:)

          • Danielle

If you read further down on the policy it also reads this. .”The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value). ”   It seems the statements debunk each other.

      • LinMin

I went there today and the first cashier I went to said the coupon was only for the 4-pack, but the coupon did not have any size restrictions.  So I went to a second cashier at the beauty counter.  Even though I had the 9 cent highlighter as a filler item, the register beeped.    The 2nd cashier tried to tell me the same thing (because the picture showed a 4-pack on the Q).  She called the manager over and they manually put in the coupon for $2.  Hooray!  Sometimes it just takes persistance.

**Keep this in mind: Jenny told us in a recent workshop that a company was sued for changing the value of a coupon, because regardless of the price of the item, they will still get reimbursed the full value, and it is fraud on their part.

    • Jean

I keep trying to click on the think, but it keeps taking me somewhere else.

    • Agardner

The washable markers will be on sale next week for a six pack for $3.99 – so you can get two of those for free with the August coupon

    • Faithd969

I can't find a coupon for Expo markers. Am I missing it or is it regional?

    • Aldatuneed
    • reynoldsja

For the school teachers out there…Are the washable ones just as good as the regular one?  I printed 2 coupons at home and 2 here at work and I got 4 of the 2 pack black ones.  I am going to donate them to my girls teachers and was wondering which ones they may want?

      • Jessica

Teachers would rather have the regular ones than the washable ones.

        • Reynoldsja

          Thank you!

    • Laurie

I keep clicking on this and all I see is the southern savers banner nothing more no matter how long I wait.  I have tried several time to get the coupon for the expo markers.

    • Ilovecoupons

For those of you having trouble using these at Walgreens.   Just make sure you have a filler item and then the coupons should go thorugh.  Walgreens will beep if the coupons exceed your total.  I did not have any trouble, I bought 4 packs of 99 cent expo markers nad 1 packer of crayons for $1.   I paid $1.26 (including tax) and got back $1 RR.

    • Justicenga

Nooooooooooooo I missed this deal.  I'm a math teacher so I go through Expo markers like crazy.  Even worse, I was teaching when this coupon (or at least the post) came out.  Only 178 days left in the school year.

      • Sarahjeanette

Check the Expo fb page again.  I just gone one, but they were out when I checked on Thursday, so maybe they are limiting the prints each day.  I'll cross my fingers for you!!  And thanks for teaching!!

    • Reynoldsja

If you go to the expo facebook and like, they also have a $2 off 2 coupon!  I printed 2 at work and just got 2 more here at home!!  Girls teachers are going to be happy!

      • Pickynicky27

sucks for those that tried and got none.

        • reynoldsja

Sorry :(, got to be quick with all the couponers out there.

    • Pickynicky27

print limit reached in a few hours????? really already

      • reynoldsja

I actually saw the coupon on another site that listed it on the 7th, so it's been out for awhile…

      • Sarahjeanette

Hey I hope you went back to the fb page.  It was out when I tried Thursday, but I just got one a few mins ago, so I think they are doing limited prints per day.

    • Smartieshopper2011

      can't print the coupon!!!!! help

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

The coupon is gone because almost all of you print two on same computer just because you have discovered the infamous “back” button. They are gone because one person prints them on multiple computers at work/homes etc. There is only a certain limit to number of Qs available; one gets multiple while others get none

      • reynoldsja

Yes, there is ONE person that prints out all the coupons on HIS/HER many, many computers!!!  LOL

      • Amy

OMG….there will always be another deal. I celebrate those that get the deal. I believe the more people that complain the LESS coupons will be available to a whole.
I have gone to the store for stuff and left with nothing because the shelves were clear and I don't get mad BECAUSE there will always be another deal. The prints say one per person not household. So there if there are 7 people in a household, I believe that they should be able to print 7.
You are not entitled to coupons. This deal has been on many other message boards all week.  Southern Savers didn't just magically print the limit.

        • reynoldsja

Agreed.  When I first started couponing, I was missing the chance to print coupons because I would say to myself, “I'll print it later”, but I have found out with all of the couponers out there that there won't be a “later”.  So, when I get a chance, I look on line at work to see if anything looks good and I print.  Then I get home and I look again, if they are still out there, I print again.

      • Lovehandlesmcgee

Or it could be that Facebook reached MILLIONS OF PEOPLE! Its a public forum! Just saying don't point finger and blame one group of people because you didn't get a coupon

    • Joann1028

Thanks to everyone who answers questions for those of us who are still learning!

    • Clanof10

Just “liked” Expo Markers on Facebook and printed the coupon… they added new prints this morning.. :)

    • CloverCouponer

How do you get the Walgreens home mailer?  I am registered on their website and have my address on there, but never receive anything in the mail.  Didn't even know they had a home mailer until she started posting them on the shopping lists :-/

    • Chastitybargerhuff

Walgreens in Anniston would not take the coupon, so I ad matched at Walmart :)

      • Danielle

did they have other colors besides black?

        • Doctordj

I just bought the multi colored packs using my coupon and the Wags August Booklet coupon-got 'em free.

They also have Crayola crayons (24 pk) for $1 with $1 register reward, so they are FREE.  I bought 3 packs.  You just have to find a nice cashier that will ring them all up separately.  You can only get one Crayola register reward per transaction.

I got the 2 packs of expo markers, a coke, some pringles, a lunchables and $29.99 worth of black cohosh and it wouldn't let me use the $2/2 coupon.  May try matching at wal-mart… thanks for the suggestion!

      • Paoli

Oh, and I only printed 1 coupon :)

Again the coupon policy reguarding sale items states that Walgreens Can't accept coupons that exceed the sale price. NOW that is how it works no ifs ands or buts. Its only reguarding the use of multiple coupons can any coupon value be lowered.

          • Reynoldsja

This was copied directly from the walgreens coupon policy.  It is bullet 2 under Sale Items:

In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value
of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the
item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever
provided in exchange for any coupons.

This means the coupon should be adjusted down, doesn't say they can't accept it.

next time educate them that they need to adjust the price of the coupon down by 2 cents in this case. This is how it works and there is no if or but. Also, it is clearly stated in WAGS coupon policy.

liked them on facebook and got the q.

Just got back from Wags. Here is the scenario about the Expo markers: Cashier -“you can't use this coupon, it is good only on 4 pack” My reply – ” No mam, it says ANY 2 EXPO”.  Her reply (rudely) – ” The picture shows 4 pack.” Me – ” No where on it does it say 4 or 2 just ANY”.

Long story short: cashier said she would not & that I did not know how to use the coupon. She called a manager they told her to adjust it down. It worked and I walked out with : 2 EXPO markers (2 pk), 2 bags of Dove, 2 Skittles, box of crabby patties for $3.26 + $1 RR. Moral of the story    DON'T MESS WITH COUPONERS – WE ARE PRETTY SMART!

P.S. I was very polite the entire time and felt insulted she would insist I was wrong, especially in front of my 7 yr. old.

      • HAHA. Amazing!

      • Aimee

        Same thing happened to me!

      • They gave me no trouble at my Walgreens in Spartanburg, SC.

      • Tmcarter Tc

I had the same problem in Lavergne, TN

    • I went to the Delany/Michigan store in Orlando and they wouldn't take the coupon because “it exceeded the price of the products.” I politely declined to purchase and put my items back on the shelf and left. I was just going to go price-match, and then I stopped by the Colonial/Bumby store on my way home tonight and they took the coupons. YAY!!!

    • Liked expo markers on Facebook, received coupons. WIN!
